SAP BCM - Issues with CDT client workstation - unable to dial out

Hi folks,
This is a new install.  Just got to the part where CDT is now working on a users desktop.  Trying to establish an internal call to prove this part works.  But cannot complete a dial string as the call button does not show up, is greyed out.
The keypad opens up and a number can be input , but it looks like the enter the dial string you should press CALL.
Enter or return does nothing
The call button shows as ALT C if you hover over it.  Using ALT C instead does not work.
Any ideas what may be missing to complete this ?

Hello, Kevin.
It should be good if you provide the version of BCM. Have you checked  the CDT log already?

  • SAP BCM intergration with SMS

    1. Is there any prerequisites for SMS server to intergrate with SAP BCM? We have only SMS Server supports java/.net based interface here.
As I know, SAPConnector supports SMS SMTP Server. How about BCM? Will a middle ware needed to support ICI?
    2. SAP BCM supports standard CAD of SAP Interaction center, right?
Thanks for your click and any advices,

1)In case of SAP CRM alone:
As per my knowledge, we can do as follows.if wrong suggest me.
    a) We can send SMS via HTTP node, but we cannot receive it.
    b) We can send and receive SMS via SMTP.
2)In case of SAP CRM integrated with BCM.
is it possible to send/receive SMS via HTTP? If not how can we achieve?
and is there any specific SMS configuration for BCM?

  • Wireless Lan connection issue with Linux clients

    Hi
In a large Wireless Lan enviroment for a university, we have 3 WISM moduls attached on a 6k hw - Manged by ACS v6.0.181.0
We recently upgraded the software version of the controllers from 4.x to 7.0.98.0 - the Emergency Image version is 5.2.157.0
Since then, the students with Linux clients have massive connection issue - repeated connection lost in a short time period.
However the students with Windows clients have no problem at all.
The studends report, that their linux clients getting so much of some kind of unnecessary broadcast traffic which can not be handled by the NIC - and the NIC goes down - and this happens all 5-10 minutes.
Affected Linux clients are: Ubuntu v10.10 - also OpenSuse, Fedora and Arch-linx with latest OS version.
Any Idea how I could solve this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi Nicolas
Thanks for your reply. The broadcast forwarding is disabled on WLC's.
Pls find below the attached picture, which shows the captured broadcast traffic on a linux client (sent by a student to me).
I'm not sure, if its really only the broadcast traffic, which the linux clients can not handle.
From my point of view, it seems also to be that the linux clients are somehow disadvantaged among the other clients like windows or mac, if they all trying to get a wireless connection.
But the fact is only the linux clients are affected - and this happens to the linux clients only in our wireless infrastructure.
Windows or Mac clients have no such problem at all
    regards

  • Newly created vLAN in VTP Domain issue with VTP Client

    Hello,
I have a VTP Domain with WS-c4506 switch "server" and multiple c2950 "clients" along Microsoft DHCP server.
I have this infrastructure 5 years ago up & running without any problems but nowadays we need to add a new vLAN wireless access points i already created the vlan on the server checked it is created on clients show vlan found the new vlan.
    I
assigned fa port to it on the core switch "server" i have the access point connected to it have some problems obtaining IP Address but it got fixed by restarting the DHCP server.
problem with VTP clients that when i try to assign port to the new vlan it always takes APIPA and even when i give the laptop connected directly to the port static IP address with the same range of the new vlan at acts like there is now networks exist it cannot ping anything within the network.
it all looks right but i dont know why it doesnt connect to the network like it should.
    any recommendations?

Yes. I can Telnet over the site to site tunnel to the Cisco 881. I can not Telnet via the VPN Client to the Cisco 881 or ping it's LAN interface.

  • Issues with upgrading client from 1.2 to 3.0

I've upgraded a bunch of Mac's ARD client from 1.2 to 3.0 using ARD 3 admin's upgrade client feature. On some, I can't Observe or Control. So far I can copy files, run reports, and see current status. I can also ssh into machines with no problems. I've run the updater a second time and no go.
All of these Macs were on 10.3.6. So sshed into them and ran all updaters and repaired permissions. Then upgraded ARD client.
Any thoughts on whats the cause of this problem and how to remedy it?
    Any suggestions is appreciated.

    More info after some testing.
Noticed machines that started out with base OS 10.3.1 with subsequent updates are the ones having observe/control issue. Most update progressions: 10.3.2, 10.3.3, 10.3.6 combo, 10.3.9 combo.
Machines that started out with base OS 10.3.5 are not effected after upgrading to 10.3.9.
Repaired permissions, updated binding, re-applied 10.3.9 combo update to one machine with no change.
Removed client by taking following steps - KB 108021
    $ sudo rm -rf /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu\ Extras/RemoteDesktop.menu
    $ sudo rm -rf /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/
    $ sudo rm -rf /System/Library/PreferencePanes/ARDPref.prefPane
    $ sudo rm -rf /System/Library/StartupItems/RemoteDesktopAgent/
$ sudo rm /Library/Preferences/com.apple.ARDAgent.plist not applicable in any of my configs
    $ sudo rm /Library/Preferences/com.apple.RemoteManagement.plist
Built an client installer package using ARD 3 admin and still can't Observe/Control but most other items seem to function.
I'm suspecting this has to do with base OS these machines were built on. Running out of ideas. I would like to find out whats preventing me to control machine instead of rebuilding a bunch of machine. Any input is appreciated.

  • Issue with Ftp Client / Server using Sockets

I have developed a Ftp Client and a Ftp Server. The client Connects to the Ftp Server and sends files to the ftp server. It is a multi threaded server and can have multiple clients connecting to it.
If a client goes down...the server waits till the client comes up
Similarly the client waits if a server goes down and reconnects when the server is again up and running
i am having a strange issue here. When two clients go down and reconnect to the server...They take a long time to connect and transferring of files takes a long time...
Other wise in all other scenarios the duo work properly.
Any feedback and suggestion about this strange issue from all you java gurus out there will be deeply appreciated.

    System.out.println("External IP of Client ..." + ClientSoc.getInetAddress());
//System.out.println("FTP Client Connected ..."+ClientSoc.getRemoteSocketAddress());from the constructor into the run() method. i.e. don't do anything with the socket in the thread which handles the accept().

  • SAP Sourcing 7.0 integration with SAP ERP - issue with SAP PI

    Hi All,
We are integrating SAP Sourcing 7.0 with SAP ERP 6.0 with SAP PI 7.1 in middle. So the Sourcing will talk to PI and this intern will talk to ERP. Sourcing is on oracle 11g where as PI and ERP are on SQL 2008. All these 3 are on windows 2003 x64.
We are following the "Configuration Guide Integration of SAP ERP and SAP Sourcing 7.0" provided by SAP.
We have successfully configured Sourcing and PI systems as pe the document. In Sourcing, by using background jobs we are able to successfully generate files in "export" folder which is part of FTP directory.
However the issue is with PI, we configured the "configuration scenerio" in Integration builder and point all channels to the FTP folder in Sourcing. But PI is not picking up these files.
Is there any way to trigger this in PI system. Or do we need to do anything in sourcing itself.
    Regards,
    Siva.

    Hello Siva,
I am thinking that you may need to deploy FTP adapter in PI to get this process work fine but not sure.
Let's see what other experts suggest.
    Thanks,
    Siva Kumar

  • Using SAP Business content with different client number

    Hi,
I want to use and upload client numbers into SAP BW in an InfoObject as master data.
The client number is for example with 9 figures.
Can I use the SAP standard InfoObject 0Client for that or is there another one or should I define my own InfoObject?
    Thank you!

You can do it in both the ways.

In fact, the compiled class file of the business interface is located on the file system in a path that contains a blank. Debugging session shows that the internal weblogic class RemoteBusinessIntfGenerator fails to open the class file because of a wrong used URL file reference. If the path contains no blank, everything works fine. This is obviously a bug!
Second, generics don't work in the business interface. As soon as I insert a generic return type or method parameter, I get an exception at runtime, no matter if the actually called method is generic or not:

Third problem is already known by Oracle (CR373734): when using JPA and serializing entities to the remote client, serialization fails until you implement a writeObject() method in every entity.
What is your experience concerning these issues? For my opinion quite severe bugs...
    Cheers, Thomas

But most of the O/S like Linux ,Solaries does not allow blankspaces in the classpath. Only the O/S that does allow is Windows. and there are a lot of issues regarding the spaces in the classpath.
If a blank in the classpath exist in the admin console as a remote start argument for a managed node, a patch exist.its CR375981.
But for the above case 808498 (blank for remote client classpath) Engineering did not given any patch and asked to go with the work around ie not to use a blank in the classpath.
    Thanks !!

  • SAP GUI issue with Portal on Windows Vista

  • ISE Posture Remediation issue with AV client installation

Problem: If  user start AV client installation in pc via AV link remediation after some time (while AV client  installation not completed yet) trend micro Update windows gets pop up but not start automatic AV or AS def  remediation and Cisco NAC agent shows the message AV definition is not up to date.
Also some time NAC agent give message automatic remediation failed or required user intervention to press ok so NAC can complete remediation process.
I am facing this issues when users don’t have Antivirus client in pc and performing client installation.
We have the following posture policies,
1      AV installation check: if AV is not installed in PC then perform link remediation and let user to download the Antivirus client from provided link.
2      AV definition & AS definition version check (both remediation requirement I putted in one policy): if AV or AS definition version found old then perform automatic remediation.
    3.     WSUS check
    4      SP   check
Actually I want, first user install AV client via link remediation once installation complete then move to AV & AS def remediation if required (because in first time AV client installation it automatically download all update from the AV server) otherwise def remediate policy wait for AV client installation completion.
Please can anybody let me know how remediation work internally ? like if  "AV inst" remediation start  so nac agent wait for it completion and don't start other remediation process e.g AS & AV def?
Second question:what is remediation process sequence ?
Third question: is there anyway we can configure timer in remediation process e.g 5 min for AV inst then 3 min for AV & AS def remediation and then go to other posture remediations ?

Please check the below guide for Posture Configuration:
