SAP BI course

hello,
i am planning to pursue a course in SAP BI.
i have read in many articles that for BI, one should have good knowledge about sql, abap and java.
though i dont have prior knowledge of SAP ABAP or data warehousing, i do have hands on experience of using SQL and little knowledge about java as well.
can someone pls suggest me if i can pursue my career in SAP BI??
any help in this regard is welcomed....

Hello Mr Brijesh,
Its a good idea to pursue a course in Sap BI. knowledge on java or SQL is not a pre-requisite for learning the SAP BI but will be an added advantage.
I would suggest you to pursue both BI and BO, as BI is includes data warehousing concepts as well as Reporting tools and BO only has Reporting tools. Later in the future, there is more scope for jobs for a person who has both datawarehousing and reporting tools. At present the market is slowly moving towards BO rather than BI. This would take another few years to completely shift to SAP BO.
I would suggest you to learn SAP BI first and upgrade your skills to SAP BO.
I dont think the training cost for learning the BI is as high as u quoted unless you go for certification too. But, in any case please tell us the place where you live and status of your education to guide you well.

SAP eLearning Course

Hi friends..
I need some suggestion from you guys regarding the eLearning course of SAP SD that Siemens conducts.
I am working in SAP SD for a Non IT company. I dont have much of real time implementation exposure in SAP SD. I have intermediate level of knowledge in SD and also know its customization and configuration part. What I am lacking in, is a full life cycle implementation.
So, for me, will you suggest whether SAP eLearning course from Siemens is suitable or not??
I want to go for it because after that I can write the certification exam.

SAP Training course

All,
I'm currently a Net weaver XI consultant and my company wants me to train on FI. My company is expecting to start in a techno-functional role after getting trained. (more technical than functional)
I was looking at the SAP training curriculum and i'm seeing the TFIN50 and TFIN52 courses? Are these courses a good starting point? Or are they very basic and limited?
Or are there some better choices that will a better in depth training in FI?

What areas in Finance will you cover, Finance, AR, AP, AA, and GL.
Controlling. PCA, CCA, PA, PS.
There are many areas and you need to make sure you understand each one.
I would suggest going to SAP Press and purchasing a book in Finance as they are much cheaper and they explain the key business processes with screen shots for you and basic configuration.

SAP LSO course date while booking the courses

Hi All,
We have a requirement as follows.
We have a course name as SAP HR Training , course date as 01.08.2014, no of participants as 25 and course sign on date(last date till which courses can be booked) as 23.07.2014.
The booking for a course can be done till the course sign on date and not afterwards.
Do we have any standard configuration settings in SPRO where we can find the course sign on date or any date which we can use to prevent the booking of courses after a certain date.

Don't worry about certification at this point. Get some SAP-approved training, get a beginner's job, gain some knowledge and experience, then go for certification.
Yes, there are plenty of jobs all around the world for knowledgeable, experienced SAP people. Just look on jobserve! Certification is not a requirement for most jobs, it is just icing on the cake.

SAP LSO Course Evaluatio Form format in LSO_PV15

Hi,
We have a requirement from client about Course Evaluation Form.
- When we open the course evaluation form in T.Code PHAP_CATALOG or in the learning portal the format is displayed in PDF or smart form.
- When the course administrator opens the same form in T.Code LSO_PV15 to complete the manual course evaluation the form is opened differently and the form display is not gr8.
Can you please help is there any configuration we would have to do to display the evaluation form in PDF format?

yes, wat your seeing is correct only, as administrator in ECC side it will show as 2nd screen shot.
In portal it will display as WDABAP application, like appraisal template.
and print view (PDF view ) is common in Portal and ECC side.
