SAP BI Mobile Publishing Webi report issue

Hi All,
We want to use the BI Mobile App on IPad for Webi reports. The app is successfully implemented on the IPad, connection to BO server is done, categories are visible. But no report.
In Webi I tried to publish my report to the respective 'mobile' category, but the the 'Publish to' is missing in the menu.
Save as is possible, but it has no effect.
I checked the CMC and I have full authorisation for publishing (and anything else).
What could be the reason that the 'Publish to' menu is not visible? Is this the reason why I do not see my Webi report in the Bi Mobile app?
I would appreciate any kind of help.

You have already done the configuration it seems.
Mobile Category has been created.
Can you go to your report, right click, categories
add it to Mobile categories
check on your ipad
Also, which version of BI and SAP BI app for mobile are you using?

Hi,
There should be some Portal team, or you might be having the rights to publish the webtemplates (Queries) to roles.
After this, there will be a role upload logging in to the portal in which you access web reports.
Once after your role upload process is successful, your reports will be successfully published to Portal and you could be able to run the reports from portal.
There should be some book mark (link) to the portal, which needs your username, pwd to login. If there is a portal team, which maintains the Portal, Please get in touch with them to get the Link of the Portal, and request them to assign you roles, so that you can publish the desired reports to role, Normally done from WAD, Opening the report to publish. There after do the role upload, by logging in to the desired portal with your Username and Password.

Sap Query Web Reporting - Issues with accents

Hi,
We was using Web Reporting for Sap Querys, throw this tool we can generate automatically web reports.
When we go to generated web report, selection screen show us character &#56292; instead accent letters.
In addition to this, generated web report shows two buttons with german text: "report ausf?" and "Werte zur?zen".

Publishing WEBI report in Portal

I am trying to publish a WEBI report in our portal.
I initially tried using the BusinessObjects Enterprise Integration Kit - IView Template, but have since been told via my OSS call that is the incorrect template to use, as that is for Crystal Reports only. I am supposed to use the URL iview.
URL iView is reasonably easy to configure, so I enter the URL and parameter for reportID.
Problem is that the iview only displays a small window in the top left area of the iview, and inside that small window the WEBI report is then rendered, making it unusable. I can confirm that the correct report is being rendered, as my variable prompts are appearing.
The report works from InfoViewApp or CMC.
The URL uses the openDocument.jsp page -
http://<FQDN>:<PORT>/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp
If I look at the URL generated when viewing the report from InfoViewApp / CMC, then it uses something called viewDocument.jsp instead. If I change the url in the iview to
http://<FQDN>/AnalyticalReporting/viewers/cdz_adv/viewDocument.jsp
then it works, but only if I have signed into the BOE server somewhere else first.
I have continued my OSS call, to see if this can be used, but still waiting on their response.
I am new to the project, and apparently this functionality used to work, prior to upgrading to SP3 for BO XI 3.1
Anyone with any ideas on how to get this content displaying in the full size window?

Seems the issue has been resolved, and possibly a caching problem all along.
I had a number of suggestions from OSS, which didn't seem to work, but then I decided to add the iview to a page, and add that page to a role. When I did that, it worked, and when I then ran the initial iview on it's own, it worked as well.
So for now I ensure the iview is FULL PAGE, and in the InfoViewApp settings I make sure it opens in it's own window .. I now have a nice looking report opening in EP.
The Integration Kit template still doesn't work, but I am reasonably happy to use the URL iview for now, other than worrying about to transport these iviews from DEV to PROD, as the URL will change, but that will be a different topic.

How to access data from SAP Tables from a Webi report

hi all,
I have a webi report for financial data and from a Bex query which is build on a Cube (this has data from 2 SAP ECC systems)
i want to build a functionality where in i can call some SAP Table data from this webi report. i should be able to pass information or some hard code where it can understand the source system it has to pick data from.
in SAP BI, we have this ption wherein we can achieve this through RRI..
is this possible in Webi ?

Create a universe on top of SAP Tables and create a webi report.
Using hyper link /open doc we can call this report from the webi report created on top of your Cube .

Webi report: Issue Cannot retrieve dimensions from Cube

Hello Experts, We're facing an issue with a partical set of Webi reports in Quality environment. The reports are BW reports based on OLAP BICS connectivity on top of Bex queries.y Below is the scenario and the issue: 1. The backed Bex queries have been trasported to Quality BW system and they're running fine when run from RSRT or Bex analyzer. 2.The Webi reports along with the BICS connections have been migrated to the Quality box and the BICS connections have been editied so that they point to the Quality BOX bex queries and they're testing and responding to the connection successfully. 3. The Webi reports pointed to the Dev Box in the Dev BOBJ system are working fine, but when the same reports for which the connections were repointed in Quality as above, are giving the error "Cannot Retrieve Dimensions from Cube". Steps taken: a. Deleted the reports and the BICS connection from Quality environment and remigrated the reports,connecitons and changed the connecitons but still the issue persists. b.Tried finding the root cause and got the following issue in the Bex query in Quality: There are filters put in the Bex query . All other filters are working fine except 0CALMONTH. We tried putting all sorts of variables on 0CALMONTH, but the moment a variable is put on 0CALMONTH, this issue occurs. But when we tried removing the variable from 0CALMONTH in filters and restricted it to a single value, the Report works fine. However the same is not an issue in the Dev Box and all queries with similar variables are working fine. So we're thinking this might be an issue on the BW backend and the cube might have to be transported again to the Quality Box. ANy quick suggestions or inputs on this would be greatly appreciated. Webi report issue(BO Infoview)

Hi Gurus,
I created a webi report in BO infoview using an universe. But when I run the report it does not display any data , it shows only blue and yellow color table in the report display panel. Any help I would appreciate it.

SAP BO 4.1 Webi report sample with prompts to try Restful api

I was not able to find, in the report demo samples available in the SAP BO 4.1 installation, a Webi report with prompts.
I found many Webi reports samples but all are without prompts.
I need at least one Webi report sample with prompts to try the Restful API http://localhost:6405/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/7090/parameters and http://localhost:6405/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/7090/schedules with parameters body.
Where can I found such webi sample?

As you have BI 4.1 installed, you could design a sample webi report using Webi Rich Client tool.
Open Webi rich client, select the sample eFashion universe drag few objects in the query and a filter. Set the filter as a prompt and save the report to Enterprise.
Now you could now use this sample report for your handson on REST SDK.

Multiple Universes (based on SAP BI Query) & single WebI Report

We build OLAP Universes on SAP BI Queries. One of the ways to consume multiple universes in a single WebI report is to "add query" from another universe into the same WebI page / another WebI tab for the report.
Is there a possibility to pick and choose fields from different Universes (based on SAP BI Queries), into a single WebI report ... of course respecting their technical linkage.

Hi Ingo,
We have created multiple subject Area Universes (based on SAP BI Queries). Is there a possibility to select a particular object from one of the Universe and another object from another Universe into the same grid eg. Notification Number from Work Management Universe (SAP BI Query based on Customer Service Data Flow / Multiprovider) and Invoice Number from Invoicing Universe (SAP BI Query based on Invoicing Data Flow / Multiprovider). Common aspects for both of these could be say a Customer Account Number.
As per my understanding, we cannot do this if we have created Universes on SAP BI Queries.
Nearest possible option is to display two tables on the same WebI report - one from Work Mgmt Universe and other from Invoicing Universe.
Please guide.

Mobile vs Web Reporting on Emails

Is there a way to pull the stats on where the emails are read in insight? We are specifically looking for the percentage of mobile vs web.

I agree with everyone's comments! I was very surprised when we came onboard with Eloqua that you were only allowed 5 deliverability and email checks per month. And then when I saw that even those tests took at least 2 hours to run, we knew we were going to have purchase either Email on Acid or Litmus to be able to do this whenever we needed it and as often as we needed to do it.
I was also shocked that in all of the Insights reports that I couldn't find a report on mobile data and how many of our emails are being read on mobile vs desktop,etc... I really hope that gets fast tracked to get added ASAP.

How to publish web reports in Portal

I neaver work with WAD and Portals before, but my new assignment is I need to work with WAD application design and portals.
Plz help me how to publsih reports(Reports with WAD) in portal.
I have seen from directry in portal , when i click on that it will take me to show another window showing , monthley Bar chat and the down tables and we hv a option side drill down to BW, if i click on that drill down , it will take me to WAD report.
Plz help me , what is that ,and best why do it plz

Hi Hari,
You can develop web templates in the WAD:

For this you will first need to have your queries/views ready from the Query Designer. Then you can design the layout in WAD using web items and assigning the queries as a data provider as reqd. You can save the web template and from the menu Publish > you can publish as an iView which can then be incorporated into the Portal.

SSO to two seperate instances of SAP BW in one WebI report

I have a question that a customer raised regarding SAP authentication.
They are using SAP Authentication to InfoView, and SSO back to SAP BW for data retrieval. In a Web Intelligence report, they have 2 data providers, both are SAP BW, but both of the SAP BW systems are completely separate. Therefore, a given user has a login ID in both SAP systems. Right now, when they try to refresh the Web Intelligence report, one of the data providers works fine, but the other data providers is not able to authenticate. It seems the login ID is prefixed with the system name. So, the 2nd data provider has a different system name and the SSO is trying to log into the first system.
Therefore, the question is this, given the same userID and password in both systems, is there a way to make SSO work in this scenario.

there are two options:
- if passwords are identical you can simply use user aliases in the the CMC of your BOE system
- if they are not you will have to implement SNC.

BW Web Report Issue - Result set too large

Hi,
When I execute a BEx Query on Web I am getting “Result set too large ; data retrieval restricted by configuration (maximum = 500000 cells)”.
Following to my search in SDN I understood we can remove this restriction either across the BW system globally or for a specific query at WAD template.
In my 7x Web template I am trying to increase default max no of rows parameters, As per the below inputs from SAP Note: 1127156.
But I can’t find parameter “Size Restriction for Result Sets” for any of the web items (Analysis/Web Template properties/Data Provider properties)….in the WAD Web template
Please advise where/how can I locate the properites

The following steps describe how to change the "safety belt" for Query Views:
1. Use the context menu Properties / Data Provider in a BEx Web Application to maintain the "safety belt" for a Query View.
2. Choose the register "Size Restriction for Result Sets".
3. Choose an entry from the dropdown box to specify the maximum number of cells for the result set.
The following values are available:
o Maximum Number
o Default Number
o Custom-Defined Number
Behind "Maximum Number" and "Default Number" you can find the current numbers defined in the customizing table RSADMIN (see below).
4. Save the Query View and use it in another Web Template.

Thanks for all help...i was off couple of days.
To activate it I can suggest to create a dummy template, add your query in it, add a menu bar component add an action to save the query view. Then you run the template and change the size restriction for result set then you can save it by the menu.
Can you please elaborate on the solution provided,I created dummy template with analysis and Menu bar item...i couldn't able to configure menu bar item...

Bex Hierarchy issue on Webi report

Hello Experts,
We are facing issues on use of Bex hierarchy in webi report,
Issue statement: We have webi report on bex query which have table and chart with input control on year and month to filter the report, table and chart uses hierarchy object to disply data. When we refresh report table and chart shows data with hierarchy on first level but once we check or uncheck any value from input control hierarchy in table and chart gets expanded and shows as flat structure. to get correct behaviour we have to collaps hierarchy.
Above behaviour happens for all report level filter like, block filter, drill filter, input control.
Please help me to know this is a bug or something wrong happened with development.

I have got SAP note which states this is expected behaviour hence closing the discussion.
1702356 - Hierarchy Nodes expanded automatically to all levels after selecting value in the input control in a webi report.
