SAP BI tables / FM's to get datasource details of source system in BW system

Hi All,
Is it possible to trace the Datasource details of source system in BW system. For example if there a ECC Datasource 0FI_XX_XX, then is it possible to find below details in BW using some RFC FM's ot tables
1) If there is any enhancements for the Datasource
2)What is the name of extract sturcture and name of the enhancement.
3) Is it possible to get code written for that Datasource enhancement
Please let me know.
Thank You.
CPG

Hi,
Might be possible by using RFC. But you may face issues.
Because enhancement code is based on ecc fields. those won't be compatible at bw side.
Actually why you need to ecc details at bw side?
All below points need to check source system side.
1. You can check at CMOD, by using standard exits. or
at SE38. ZXRSAU01/02/03 depend on data source type you can use program and search for your data source you may know the code if your data source was enhanced by using cmod.
2.Data source extract structure name you can get from source system, RSA6, double click on your data source, open next screen you may see it. There is no specific name for enhancement. but all enhancement components under  RSAP0001.
3. Yes, you can check program ZXRSAU01 - transaction data source, once you open thi program, you can search for your data source, you may see the relevant code for your data source enhancement.
As my guess your data source is transaction data source.
Thanks

  • Replicate datasource from SRM source system

    Hi,
I need to replicate datasource from SRM source system I am able to see datasource under application component in RSA6 when I tried to replicate those component In BI by selecting Replicate Tree Metadata I am not able to see any application component in RSA1 .
    Thanks,
    Senthil

    Hi Senthil,
i know your issue. the problem is when you are going to do replication in first time you dont find any application components.
so what you have to do is go to the BI SYSTEM and go to your SRM Source system and select and right click and select Replicate Datasources.
if you are doing first time replication it takes a quite long time.
so once its replicated then u will b able to see the datasources as well as the corresponding application components.
next time in SRM if you enhance the datasource you can directly select the datasource and right click say replicate metadata.
once solved get back to me
    HOPE THIS HELPS YOU

  • How to get BI content on source system

    Hi BI Expert,
We have applied NetWeaver  7.0 BI Content Add-on 3 SP09 to get DataSource Transactional Data: 0DF_IS_DFS_66 and DataSource Transactional Data: 0DF_IS_DFS_65. It went well but I can not see the datasources that we require both on BI and source system.
Could you please help us how to get these datasources on BI and finally transfer it to source system? After this, I need to activate and install it to get some reports that business requires.
    Thanks for your kind help.

    hi,
First of all these data sources are not available in your support pack 9 source system. May be you need to upgrade the suppor packages and see if they available in RSA5 (source system)

  • How to create DataSource for BI Source System in RSA1?

I have a BI Source System defined, however I can't figure out a way to create a new DataSource for it. I can create DataSource objects for all my other Source Systems, but I can't figure out how to do this for this BI system.
I select my BI Source System, right-click, choose "Display DataSource tree". When I right-click from the DataSource tree, I expect to get "Create Application Component" and "Create DataSource" options, but instead I only see "Replicate Tree Metadata" and "Replicate DataSources" options.
How can I create DataSource objects for my BI system?

    Hi,
I guess you want to create a custom developed source in BI itself. For that you need to create the data source in RSO2 and inside you need to give the specific aplication component under which you want this DS to be in. Generate a data souce and then go to BI My self Source system and then replicate that particular appl component o view your data source.
    Hope this helps

The building block CRM Lead Analysis describes the all the required activities to analyze the Marketing Lead Analysis data from SAP CRM in SAP Business Information Warehouse.
The analysis is carried out with the following queries of the InfoCube 0MKTG_C01 CRM - Lead Management (SAP BW Business Content).
The Lead Management InfoCube contains all the characteristics and data used for the administration of leads. This InfoCube enables you to execute the following standard queries available in SAP BW:
    1.     Channel Analysis: This query is used to determine the best channels by which business partners are contacted in the context of a marketing campaign. Following each marketing campaign, the lead manager can compare the success of a given channel to those of others.
    2.     Efficiency Reporting: This query is used to analyze the efficiency with which leads are qualified. By navigating to the sales organizations and the responsible employees for the leads, it is possible to assess how efficiently lead teams are working and to identify areas for improvement.
    3.     Historical Evaluation: Use to help analyze and compare leads over different intervals (comparison of different quarters or years for example) to see if general characteristics in the processing of leads can be identified for these periods.
    4.     Lost Leads: Provides an overview of the number of lost leads in a particular period and the reasons (implemented as a navigation characteristic) for the loss of the leads. This query is used to analyze the main reasons why leads might be lost, with a view to developing new strategies for overcoming these weaknesses.
    5.     Channel Mgmt.: Top-n Lost Leads (Current Year): In a Channel Manager Portal, this query provides an analysis of the leads lost by a Channel Manager over the past 12 months. Channel Managers can also view the leads lost by their Channel Partners. In a Partner Portal, this query shows the top-n unsuccessful leads distributed by a Channel Manager to a Channel Partner. Partner Manager can see the lost leads of the Partner Employees over the year. Partner Employee can view his lost leads over the year.........
Before starting activities in this building block, you need to perform or check the following steps:

  • Specific Datasource in a source system : how to modify the delta process ?

    Hello,
I have a specific datasource in a Sap CRM5.0 system that sends sales data by year and Business Partner to a Sap BI7 system.
The Delta Process used (AIE     After-Images Via Extractor (FI-GL/AP/AR)) do not manage the deletion : if you delete the 2009 sales data for a Business Partner, these data won't be in the CRM system anymore, but they'll remain in the Sap BI7 system after the delta.
My client would like to change the delta process to send the deletions in CRM to BW.
In CRM, when i use the RSA2 transaction, i can display the delta process, but apparently, there's no way to modify it
Moreover, the RSA6 and RSO2 transactions are usefull to modify my datasource, but not directly  its delta process.
I found the RSOOSOURCE table where i could manually modify the delta process for my datasource, but it doesn't seem right to do it that way.
Can anyone help ? Is there anyway to modify the delta process for my datasource ? Or will i have to create a new one ?

You have to create new one

  • Are the  Datasources in the source system Client independent?

    Hello Experts!
I am new to the productive implementation of BW. I have this silly question. I wish to connect a productive CRM system to BW 3.5.  Do i need to do the customizations for activating the datasources in a developement client and then transfer to the productive client (or) can i directly activate the cotent datasources in a productive client. I mean which way is  the better.
    Thanking you.
    With regards
    Ashwin

    Hi Ashwin,
I would like to know some more info about the scenario. Do you mean you have development and production in two different clients in one system? If no, you need to transport the activated data sources from your dev to your prod system.
If yes (what is really not recommended) you need to be careful. When you activate datasources they are normally cross client. So you could simply activate your datasources in your dev client and use them in the prod client. There are some exceptions, where datasources are generated and transported but they are only few.
    Best regards
       Dirk

  • Message "Creation of DataSources for SAP source system is not permitted"

    Hi,
I am in DW Workbench: Modeling and I need to copy a DataSource.
It's impossible, beacause I have this Message "Creation of DataSources for SAP source system is not permitted"!
    What can I do?
    Thks

    Hii.
You can not copy the standard datasource to any other source system it will not allow you to do that.
But if you want to copy you can copy it to PC FILE source system.
It will allow you to copy there.
Right click in Datasource->Copy-> Give Target datasource name -
    > intarget Source system tab -
    >Give Source system for File.
