SAP BPM Job Documentation - Mass Import

Hello,
A few questions regarding the feature of job documentation in Solution Manager Job Management.
When doing a mass import of the jobs by RFC we had the following issues:
1 - The import process takes a lot of time, there are thousands of queries to DMDattribute table. I'm only importing 190 jobs that took around 15-30 minutes. Do you know any note or configuration to fix this?
2 - Because import took a lot of time, the first time we had a timeout of 600s in ICM, and the import process was interrupted. How can we massively delete the jobs documentation? I know that the standard procedure is not to delete, but to change the jobs status to 'DELETED', but still if I could really deleted them and redo the import from scratch would be a lot better. If mass delete is not possible, is there a way of doing a mass update of the job status, from "IN PROCESSING" to "DELETED"?

Standard SAP periodic job to schedule import of requests in target system?

Hello Folks,
Is SAP standadard job available to schedule periodic import of requests available in the target system. I know it is not advisable to do something like this, but i remeber some one telling me there is one available.

Thanks for you replies folks... so...there's no standard job available. Its got be scripts at OS level, and ofcourse scheduling "import all" options....
but as we agree, this is not a recommended option.

SAP Job Documentation from BC-XBP Interface

Does BC-XBP or any other interface provide access to SAP side job documentation (that is visible in SM37 transaction) for third party applications?

Import status- import running does not change during the mass import of TR

Dear All,
I have successfully imported single requests in my newly installed SAP ECC EHP4 PRD system but when I have tried to import 8 transport requests(Mass Import) then the Import status is not changing from import running (Truck button still appears).
But the effect of the request is seen in the production system but the status does not change.
I have checked the logs and found that all the requests have been imported successfully but the Truck status does not change.
I have restated the system but no use still the same.

Import Running for a long time on ECC 6.0
The background job RDDIMPDP is running on client 000 as well as the relevant client.
Below is the TP System Log:
WARNING: System CC6. Warning. 20090914042136 :
WARNING: Background job not running properly. Function: G Jobcount: 04512801 Status: S.
Please check the system. Use transactions SM21, SM37, SM50.
WARNING: (This warning is harmless if no further warnings follow.)
As per NOTE: 26966, it could be b'cause the background job process slots are occupied,

JSM - Creating Job Documentation from Job Request itself

Hi all,
I am still exploring JSM, and I know its possible to create Job Request (Job Req) from Job Documentation (Job Doc).
But is it possible to create the reverse (Job Doc from Job Req) ?
This will be great, if the user is creating Job Req from "Detailed" version (compared to "Basic"), which has similar entries and tabs, as Job Doc.
I did read somewhere that its possible, but I never find any documentation or SCN/blogs on this.

Hi Shahul,
the user triggers the Job Doc creation from within the Incident or Change Request in the JSM assignment block, but then the data from teh Job Request is automatically taken over for the Job Document.
So starting the creation and pushing the save button is manual work, but the filling out the Job Doc is done automatically.

From where u hv learned all these SAP Stuff ? R U still looking for job ?? If so keep on trying it may take some time but definitely u will get it . But at the same time if u get some job in non SAP platform then try to get that n t later on u can try for better oppurnity .
Try to apply online in TCS / WIPRO/ IBM/ CTS/SATYAM / ITC etc ....

ARIS - SAP BPM Integration

Hi Experts,
I am new to SAP BPM and ARIS, and was wondering if anyone can help answer this.
If processes are designed using ARIS, how would you import them in NWDS (BPM Process)? Is this the right way to do it? What is the best practice regarding this?
I know there is integration between ARIS and SolMan, but this is with SAP BPM. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems there is no way to import BPMN diagram from ARIS to NW BPM. One will have to redraw the models.

Why we need to do the "Job for Mass comparison" and what is the use from this?

Mass comparison we have different options. each option have specific purpose.
Profile comparison: Start the profile comparison immediately after profiles are generated or imported. If you use time-dependent role assignments, we recommend that you schedule this daily as a background program. The authorization profiles are compared with the user master records; that is, profiles which are no longer current are deleted from the user master records, and the current profiles are added to the user master records.
Composite Role Comparison: Start the composite role comparison, if you are making changes to a composite role definition (that is, adding or deleting single roles to a composite role), or importing a change. The single role assignments are compared with the composite role asisgnments to the user here. If you have added single roles to the composite role, the single roles are assigned to those users that have an assignment to the composite role. However, the single role assignments are deleted for usrs, if the single role has been removed from the composite role.
HR Comparison: Start the HR comparison if you are making changes to the HR-Org model that affect the indirect role assignment. You can onl select thsi processing mode, if HR-org is active. To do this, the swtich HR_ORG_ACTIVE must be set to YES in table PRGN_CUST.
Cleanups: Perform cleanups if you generate or import profiles. Generated profiles for which no roles exist are deleted.

CPS Job documentation

Hi,
In solution manager work center, after the change document is created the job documentation is to be generated. One of the steps to create job documentation is assigning the logical component. I'm facing an issue with this step. The logical components aren't getting displayed thus the job documentation is not getting created. What could be the possible solution to this?

Hello Esha,
if I understood your issue correctly your creating the Job Documentation from the Job Chaneg Document, so you are using the ChaRM integration?
In that case you'll have to check IBase assigned to the Job and Change Request. The IBase has to point to a production system.
The program also filters for logical components, which have the (logical) System, i.e. combination of System ID and Client, the IBase is pointing to, assigned in the role production.
So you need an logical component which includes the selected system in role production.

SAP Standard Jobs are getting canceled

Hi Basis Gurus,
In our Quality BW 3.5 system the SAP Standard jobs are getting canceled.
The jobs are as follows
SAP_APPLICATION_STAT_COLLECTOR

SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_JOBSTATISTIC

In SM37 when i click on the job log for the above mentioned jobs the system is promting a message saying as "Error reading job log"
Please let me know how can troubleshoot it and resolve this issue.

Hi ,
For log display reason, try the note suggested. Jobs cancel reason may be due to that the user who schedule that job are locked or not exist on that client. Or other reason will be clear only after log display.

Hi Anil,
I donu2019t know your requirements, anyway itu2019s possible to setup your SAP job in order to start after an event, and after that you can get the event triggered from the Operating System in the following way:
- log into you Operating System with the SIDadm user id (at the Operating System level) and go to directory /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run
- Run the SAPEVT executable as follows:
sapevt YOUR_EVENT -t pf=/usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile/DEV_DVEBMGS00_server001 nr=01
This will raise the event, and cause the job scheduled within SAP to execute.
You can periodically execute this job with crontab.

Can we prioritise in SAP BPM

But we can only read the current priority using the API, we cannot change the priority.

Notes and Attachment in SAP BPM

Hi,
In SAP BPM, the users that are completing a task can add some notes or attachment. These items will be visible by the other users who will execute the next tasks. However, when the process is complete, I'm not able via the SAP NWA to retrieve the attachment or view the notes that have been inputted during the execution of the process.
Does somebody know how to view this information once the process is completed?

You might have some access issues.
In a nutshell:
Prerequisites
You have administrator rights for the portal content, that is, the content administrator portal role is assigned to you.
Procedure
       1.      Log in your portal as a content administrator.
       2.      Choose the Content Administration tab page.
The portal content catalogue is displayed.
       3.      In the portal content catalogue, choose Portal Content ® Content Provided by SAP ® End User Content ® Standard Portal Users ® Pages ® Universal Worklist ® Universal Worklist.
Alternatively you can search for pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/pages/com.sap.km.pages/com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.uwl_page.
       4.      In the context menu of Process List Viewer, choose Open ® Related Links.
       5.      In the portal content catalogue, choose Portal Content ® Content Provided by SAP ® End User Content ® BPEM ® Pages ® Process List Viewer.
Alternatively, you can search for pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/com.sap.bpem/com.sap.bpem.pages/com.sap.bpem.ProcessListViewer.
       6.      In the context menu of Process List Viewer, choose Open ® Related Links.
       7.      Confirm the Add Related Link dialog box with OK.
       8.      Save your settings.
Next time when you open your universal worklist (Home ® Work), in the left hand panel under Related Links the Process List Viewer is displayed.
