SAP Business Obeject XI 3.1 SP3 CLuster

Hi All,
In our landscape we want to install SAP BOBJ XI 3.1 (SP3) systems on cluster. We have 2 window 2008 server were we installed BOBJ XI3.1 (Tomcat55), Crystal 2008 and SAP integration KIT XI 3.1(SP3). Prior to start BOBJ installation we created CMS and Audit database on Database (MSSQL) server .
During installation on both server BOBJ XI3.1 (Tomcat55), we choose use existing database. After BOBJ installation we installated Crystal 2008 and SAP integration KIT XI 3.1(SP3) on both 2 application server.
Our network team told us that both application server are in network load balance and gave us one common DNS link.
While during testing when we stop Tomcat + SAI on one sever then we are not able to access CMC or infoview.
Now my question is we dont need to install on both node or any other option we need to choose during bobj installation on 2nd node.

Thanks a lot for your quick response.
Yes when i directly try to access CMC and Info view from 2nd node then we were able to access.
I also assume that in our network load balance we missed some configuration.
Did you check the status from the Central Configuration Manager? Were you able to log in there?
Could please let me know the steps to check then i can update on you.

Can anyone tell me if B1 different cluster version installed and run on the same server. Example B1 2005A AND B1 2005B. If it can, could you please include the procedure how can it be done.

No, A and B have different patch cycles - so there would be conflicts in SBO-Common. Therefore it will not work.
You could try to workaround that with named instances of MSSQL, but installation & update would need additional care + workarounds.
The best way to combine 2 SAP Business One cluster "servers" but still on one hardware would be to use a tool like VMWare... - but such a configuration has not been released by SAP - i.e. if there's an issue that could be traced back to the VMWare system, SAP might not be (li?)able to fix it

BTW: Please note that you need to think eventually about conflicts with MS licenses. SAP has an agreement with MS which ASFAIK covers the license for 1 VMWare Windows system on 1 Windows PC so that we can use WMWare for SAP Business One sandbox systems - after RAM upgrades () it works fine...

Crystal Reports Dynamic Parameters with SAP Business One

Okay, I've got this very strange issue with dynamic parameters in Crystal Reports connected to SAP Business One.
Let's start with the software versions:
- Crystal Reports 12.3.0.601
- SAP Business One 8.8 (8.80.231) SP: 00 PL: 13
- Windows XP SP3
(SBO Server on Windows 2003 and SQL 2005)
What I'm about to describe is something I've tried in several reports and for which I created a very, very simple test report to see if it was reproducible in a very simple situation.
- I connected to a Business One server through CR's SBO connection type. Logon is successful, tables are shown.
- I pick OCRD and plac CardCode and CardName in the details section on the report. Previewing the report shows data.
- I create a dynamic parameter on CardCode and in the Select Expert I select the CardCode field and define that that should be equal to the parameter.
- I preview the report again. Now it asks me in such a parameter screen for logon credentials. It shows the server and database it tries to connect to and in the username it shows the SQL Server username I used to connect to the SQL Server in the first place. However, the password for that user is not accepted. I also tried to login with the Windows administrator user and with the SBO manager user, but no success with any attempt.
I also tried to add a static parameter and add all database values to the list. Same screen, different result:

(On a side note: the report is saved as report1.rpt)

Hi,
When you have fixed your crystal installation following the note posted earlier, please take a look at the [how to guide|http://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700000882232009E.pdf] and also at the [e-learning|http://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700001370262010E] about SAP Business One 8.8 and Crystal Reports.
There are so called "tokens" which you need to use instead of dynamic parameters.
Dynamic paramters don't work in SAP Business One 8.8, if they are not defined as a static paramter with token.

i need some technical information about a possible installation of Sap Business One Package:
- Can Sap B1 run on a Microsoft cluster composer of virtual machine VMWARE?
- Can Sap B1 run on a machine with 64 bit technology?
- Can client Sap B1 run on Citrix with gateway access?

VMWare hasn't been released; it may work (and I heard about people using it ), but if a problem can actually be traced back being a VMWare issue - you are "alone"...

Yes, please check the "Supported Platforms" information for B1 in the Channel Partner Portal on SAP Service Marketplace!
>- Can client Sap B1 run on Citrix with gateway access?
Not sue about "gateway access", but Citrix 4.0 (and 3.0) are officially supported.
You can find details at the same place as mentioned above (I don't have the link at hand, sorry).

The latest available version of the BO Server/Web Intelliggence /Dekstop Intelligence is XI 3.1 SP3 with FP 3.4.
The latest available version of CR is CR 2008 SP3 with FP 3.4.

Business objects xi 3.1 sp3 on solaris , is it compatable with jdk 1.6

i installed business objects xi 3.1 sp3 on soalris and we are using apache tomcat web application server. wheni read Supported Platform document it says business objects comes with jdk 1.5 . do we have an option such that we can point to jdk 1.6. we are having jdk 1.6 in the /usr/jdk.1.6.023. can we point our whole business objects to that jdk 1.6.

i know that you can re- point the Tomcat WAS to a different JDK but i am not aware that you can point BOE to a different one.
I would recommend you open a OSS Message with the SAP support to check if it is possible and supported.

Crystal Report LDAP authentication with SSL to Business Objects XI 3.1 SP3

Hi,
Here is the issue
Business Objects XI 3.1 SP3
Crystal report 2008
LDAP is configured with SSL and working great within BO.
In Crystal report 2008, enterprise authentication worked, but not LDAP with SSL, I got "Security plugin error: Failed to set parameters on plugin.
If I try with LDAP with no SSL, everythingu2019s fine. Do I have to setup something on the "workstation" side to be able to user LDAP with SSL ?
*I already tried to disable firewall

Re-installing SAP Business One

After removing and re-installing SQL Server 2005 and SAP Business One 2005 SP01 with no problems or error-messages I try to install SAP Business One 2005 SP01 again and get to the Installation screen with text:
"One of the following must be successfully installed prior to installation of Business One:
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP3
Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5.3 GA
IBM DB2 Universal Database 8.2.2 FP5 Express Edition
Server"
and cannot select Typical for installation on my notebook.
It seems that SAP assumes that the SAP Server software has been installed and the SQL Server has not been installed, while the Software list on the Configuration screen mentions the SQL Server, but does not mention the installation of the SAP Business One Server software.
How can I correct this situation? A remove and re-install does not change anything.

1) Do you still have the "SQL Server Agent (Agent XPs disabled)" error ?
2) Are you sure you installed SQL in the default instance and not a named instance ?
If SQL Server found another instance already on the computer it will not install with the default instance but with a named instance.
The named instance can be accessed by following "\name_of_the_instance" after the computer name, but not only the computer name.
To be sure, you can see the installed instances by reading the content of "InstalledInstances" in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\
(use regedit)
3) Have you ever used a firewall that you uninstalled ou kill not cleanly ?
For example, if you autorize sqlserver.exe in ZoneAlarm, then disabled the start of zonealarm, your sqlserver.exe can be accessed but if you reinstall it, the new sqlserver.exe will not. The only way is then to restart zonealarm and autorize the new sqlserver.exe
4) Have you tried to make an ODBC connection to your SQL Server ?
5) Have you tried to choose "sql server" instead of "sql server 2005" when installing Business One ?

SWF exported to SAP Business objects Platform doesn't refresh

                   I have exported the XLF file to Sap Business Objects Platform.
Can anyone please help me in suggesting , why it is not refreshing? I scheduled the reports and am trying to get the latest instance of the webi reports.
I am using live office connection. So I was suggested to use this way of exporting for automatic refreshing of data from the webi reports.
My Built:

                  I have already installed Fix Pack 2.5 in live office client .
The situation is that I have a bar chart plotted where KPI values are there against the dates(on X-axis). So, suppose I
exported the SWF on 2nd Dec . I have the date starting from 1st Nov to till date on the X axis of bar chart.
   I scheduled the webi reports on 7th dec where i changed the start date in the query filter to 28 nov
and then observed the SWF in Infoview.
Results:
1. Dates on X -axis are changed . Starts from 28 Nov instead of 1 nov.
2. The data values are not coming for the dates after 2nd Dec.
It means I am not getting the values for the dates after I exported the SWF
Can you suggest me something.

I want to know that is Office 2007 completely compatible with SAP business One 2005B. I am using SAP Business One SP 00 with Patch Level 32.
Please also let me now whether XL Reporter is compatible with Office 2007 as when I installed Office 2007 and trying to install the XL Reporter Add-on during the installation it is showing that Microsoft Excel not found but in my PC excel 2007 is already present.

Creation of Add-on package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One Client

Please help me creating package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One. If Add-on executable is compiled with x86 option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 32 bit SAP Business one and if Add-on executable is compiled with Any CPU option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 64 bit SAP Business one. Problems are mentioned as below
1. My Add-on uses MS ACCESS connection and the connection is read using Jet OLEDB 4.0 provider. It works fine for x86 compile mode but not when compile mode is Any CPU. I searched for the issue on Google and found a solution to change MS ACCESS connection provider to ACE.OLEDB.12.0 but again ACE provider is installed according to the Office version i.e. 32 bit or 64 bit office suite. If I install 32 bit ACE provider then Add-on executable compiled with x86 version is working fine but with Any CPU option throws error as provider is not registered on current machine.
2. Secodly, our license validation activex dll is build using vb 6.0 and therefore when Add-on executable is compiled using Any CPU option, Add-on EXE cannot read from license dll. Any suggestion, how the activeX dll can be compiled whose component can be created from for X86 compiled exe and any cpu compiled exe.
Please help because we are stuck in this issue and cannot move forward.

That is one solution but did your add on used ms access connection? if you used Jet oledb to connection string or ace oledb connection string? what if 32 bit office is installed and what if 64 office is installed? how did you found the office version in install script? after determining the office version how did you installed Microsoft redistributable for ace oledb (32 bit or 64 bi )?
I am sorry that I asked many questions but these are the problems where I am stuck with the addon installer?

Em relação a cumulatividade, o SAP tem um campo nas configuração de detalhes da empresa, só que não há nenhuma documentção que prove o funcionamento deste parametro e a qual dos IRF ele está ligado.
Estou estudando uma maneira de fazer isso via conta contabil transitoria individual para cada tipo de IRF em conjunto com a rotina de Alertas, para monitorar os saldos acumulados das contas...

"No data" in SAP Business One

Hi,
We have encountered the following issue.
Using the SAP mobile application (version 1.1.3 (Android) - 1.9.6 iOS)), we connect successfully to database but when we try to open the Business Partners and Items, a "No Data" message appears.
If I insert a BP in mobile, the SAP Business One show these BP that I insert, but in the App I have the message "No data".
What could be causing that?

I have implemented hyperlinks to an oo-based ALV-List
( please see sample code later ). Now we have the problem that these hyperlinks only work in a local network-area.
But we have also foreign-departments on our SAP-system, that have no access to our network.
Now the question: is it also possible to create hyperlinks
assigned to SAP-Business-Workplace-documents ?
Do you have a solution for this problem ?
