SAP Businness connector 4.6 - post SAP ECC Unicode convertion
Hi,
after Unicode convertion of our ECC 6.0 system, SAP Bussiness connector create XML file with encoding UTF-16 (in the past was iso-8859-1). Our custom applictions, that read this .XML files, can't process this files with UTF.16 until we have manualy change from UTF-16 to UTF-8 or iso-8859-1
Now:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
In the past:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
Can I set into Businness Connector right encoding?
Regards.Hi,
>You can try to uncheck the Unicode settings in the RFC destination in SAP (transaction SM59) and see how the content arrives >then. But if I remember correctly, this does also not produce the desired effect in BC (receive in iso-8859-1).
already try it without success.
>Apart from that, I see no other option than change the encoding via a BC service or to change the encoding on the application >which receives the FTP file.
OK.

SAP Business Connector on Windows XP
I've been trying to get the SAP Business Connector 4.7 to work on Windows XP professional but haven't been very successful. The business connector seems to install okay, but when I try to start the business connector through the server.bat file it generates the following errors:

These errors don't stop the business connector from starting up, but the errors are not normal behaviour. When I try to start the business connector through a Windows service then I get the message "Could not start the SAP Business Connector Service on Local Computer. Error 126: The specified module could not be found".
I have a working business connector installation on a Windows 2000 server, and when I checked the error log of that installation I noticed that it had logged the same errors about the 'WmPartners' package. It on the other hand didn't have any problems loading the 'SAP' package.
I tried installing the business connector on two different systems with identical results. Has anybody been able to get the business connector to work on Windows XP?HI,
I have no idea clearly about BC.. but ..

Runtime error while using SAP Enterprise Connector in a J2EE Web Servlet
Hello,
I'm facing problems while trying to do a RFC call out of a Servlet.
I'm using Development Components (DCs) and my project setup is as follows:
Firstly I've created a DC of type J2EE/Web Module. This DC implements an absolutly simple servlet which has to do the RFC-Call.
The relevant code is:
protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
JCO.Client jcoclient = JCO.createClient("010", "DV*****", "***", "DE", "ovd***", "01");
jcoclient.connect();
Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Input input = new Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Input();
input.setAirline("LH");
SAPProxies_PortType myproxy = new SAPProxies_PortType();
myproxy.messageSpecifier.setJcoClient(jcoclient);
try {
Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Output output = myproxy.bapi_Flight_Getlist(input);
BapisfldatType_List list = output.get_as_listFlight_List();
int listsize = list.size();
for (int i = 0; i < listsize; i++) {
BapisfldatType elem = list.getBapisfldatType(i);
response.getWriter().print("Date: " + elem.getArrdate() + '\t' + "Arrive: " + elem.getArrtime());
} catch (Exception e) {
response.getWriter().print(e.toString());
jcoclient.disconnect();
The proxy for the RFC Module "BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST" - in this case the classes around "SAPProxies_PortType" were generated by NWDS ("SAP Enterprise Connector" Wizard).
I had to manually add following DCs as "Used DCs" to get my DC built:
com.sap.aii.proxy.framework (default)
com.sap.aii.util.misc (default)
com.sap.mw.jco (default)
So far, so good...
As a J2EE/Web module DC can't be deployed I've created a second DC of type J2EE/Enterprise Application and referenced the first DC. This DC is also built fine and can be deployed.
But... When I call my servlet I get following Error Message on the web browser:
The request cannot be processed.
Details:
com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exceptions.ServletNotFoundException: Cannot load the requested servlet [LocalDevelopmentservletxxx.com/servlet/TestServlet].
Exception id: [000C295D60FB006F0000003600000EA8000461A05860B4BA]

Thank you for any help.
OsmanHi,
One thing that can be helpful is to add the references of the JAR files that you are adding as Used DC in the EAR.
This can be done by adding Library type References in the application-j2ee-engine.xml Deployment descriptor in the EAR project.

Sap UM connector 9.1.2 trouble with "SAP User Management User Recon" task
Hello All,
i have a problem with Sap UM Connector version 9.1.2.
OIM version 11.1.1.5
Windows 2008 R2
Problem is:
Then accounts in Sap are created through direct provisioning feature of connector everything works ok (subsequent update or delete an account).
But if a user account is created in Sap using Sap GUI, scheduled task "SAP User Management User Recon" of connector doesn't create reconciliation event to link user.
Sometimes it does though, but for one user account created using Sap GUI in OIM created two reconciliation events, so corrsponding user in oim have two records for resource SAP.
In this reconciliation events, one have full set of attributes (Login, First Name, Last Name, E Mail, etc), another one - just these 3 attributes: IT Resource, User ID, Lock.
"SAP User Management Delete Recon" scheduled task works ok then user account has been deleted using Sap Gui.
How one can troubleshoot such behavior?
Can anyone advise please?resolved the issue by updating sap um connector to version 9.1.2.5

Verify SAP HR connector connection with SAP Target system - OIM 11.1.2
Hi All,
We are using SAP ER 9.1.2 connector and configured as follows,
1) Installed SAP ER connector from Admin console (In oim db Common.jar, SAPCommon.jar and SAPER.jar files are created)
2) The connector guide says to copy sapjco3.jar and sapidoc3.jar shud be placed into Oracle_home/Xellerate/ThirdParty folder. As we r using OIM 11.1.2 placed it in Oracle_IDM1/server/ThirdParty folder. Also Uploaded Thirdparty file into oim db using UploadJars.sh.
3) copied libsapjco3.so file into /usr/local/jco directory and added the same path to LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment varialble
4) Restarted OIM server
5) To check if SAPJCo is correctly installed, ran below command
java –jar JCO_DIRECTORY/sapjco3.jar
java –classpath JCO_DIRECTORY/sapjco3.jar com.sap.conn.jco.rt.About
Doubt: In OIM 11.1.2 we upload files into oim db. So, how does running files in ThirdParty folder verifies SAPJCo installation.
6) Configured SAP HR IT resource parameters as given by our SAP application team.
7) Now Ran "SAP HRMS Employee Type Recon" scheduled job and facing below error,
"oracle.iam.connectors.sap.common.util.SAPUtil : getJCOFunction() : Connect to message server host failed[[

Please help me in configuring SAP connector
Thanks in advanceHi.
Have you solved this? I'm getting the same error and documentation is not clear.
It says to add an entry to /etc/service (in my case there's a service using the same tcp port) and the copy a .ini file to "root" directory, which I understand is "/" in a linux system.
Thank you.

Flat File Transfer from SAP R/3 4.7 to SAP Business Connector 4.8
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement of transferring a flat file from my R/3 SAP 4.7 Box Application Server to the Business Connector 4.8 Box. I am new to SAP Business Connector and I am not to sure whether FTP works if I use a shell script in SAP R/3. Also, is there any way Business Connector Box can pull the file from R/3 Application Server and store the file in the Business Connector Server.
Any help will be appreciated!!!
Regards,
SubhhrangsuHi,
There are many ways thru which you can pass document to SAP BC:
You can HTTP, FTP, Email document to SAP BC.
SAP BC has predefined services for all of them.
For FTP document to SAP BC:
1 Initiate an FTP session on SAP BC Serveru2019s FTP listening port ( this can be found out from SAP BC administrator or from SAP BC homepage).
2 Point to the directory that contains the service to which you want to pass the XML
document.
Example cd \ns\Purchasing\SubmitOrder
3 Copy the XML document to this directory using the following command:
put XMLDoc.xml
Where XMLDoc.xml is the name of the file that you want to pass to SAP BC Server.
Example put PurchaseOrder.xml
Above code can be written in a batch file and you can schedule it to run at interval of minutes.
You can write java client program as well to upload file and map it to String variable of Flow service of SAP BC.
As Micheal said, you can look at sapbc/Developer/doc folder to look for more options.
Best Regards,

RFC function callls a SAP Business Connector Flow - only upper case
Hi everybody,
I wrote a function in SE37 which is calling a Flow in SAP Business Connector.
R/3 and SAP BC, both are Non Unicode systems.
The export parameter is TYPE makt-maktx.
The call to SAP BC works fine. Only all the text I can see in the pipeline of SAP BC is upper case.
I checked wether the domain of the makt-maktx allows case sensitive texts.
This is OK.
I have no idea how I can tell SAP BC to receive case sensitive texts.
I checked the forums. Seems nobody had such a problem.
Can somebyody help?
Best regards
Jochen
Hi to all,
it was not the JAVA Version, or a bug or whatelse.
I just ingnored while testing in SE37 that there is
a Flag [X] case sensitive - That's all!
Shame on me!
Greetings Joe

Jochen SeeligerHi Priya
Seeing the messages, it appears that server is down.
"java.net.ConnectException" occurs whenever you try to connect to a system which is not up and running.

JCO Timeout for SAP Business Connector 4.7

General Description :
SAP BC is used to invoke BAPI's in the SAP R/3 system.
Issue :
Some BAPI's are taking some time to return response depending on user load. Need to provide a timeout for RFC calls invoked by SAP BC using JCO.

I really appreciate your help !!I have tried changes the connection timeout value but if doesnot affect the time RFC. Following is from SAP BC adapter guide ..
Delay (minutes) until an unused connection to a SAP
System is timed out (default: 5)
I think I need similar setting as that for RFC connection !! -

Message was edited by: Vincent BLOHORNHi Ganimede,
I'm not sure if 4.6 is (should be) but 4.8 is definitely UC compatible.

SAP Business Connector certificate problem
We are trying trying to send data from SAP to bank via SAP business connector using bank URL. We have configured the certificates in SAP BC which are authenticated by bank on the basis of private key generated from our server. Now when we trying to post data to bank it is giving below error.
java.lang.RuntimeException: iaik.security.ssl.SSLCertificateException: Peer certificate rejected by TrustDecider
Any idea? Please give me some suggestions to resole this problem.
Thanks and RegardsNormally I do not like to give documentation references, but in this case I think it makes sense. Certificate handling is an ugly and complicated topic, so many things can go wrong. Please check the SAP BC 4.7 Administration Guide, page 103 onwards ("Securing communications with the server"). It explains very well what needs to be done. Make sure you configured everything correctly.

No SAP Option under Adapters in SAP business connector 4.7 Admin page
Hi Experts,
I have installed SAP BC 4.7 (both server and developer) and started the server (installation done with <sid>adm user). The problem I am facing is in configuration. There is no SAP option under Adapters because of which I am unable to configure ABAP stack here. Please help in resolving this.

Edited by: Chandra Vikash on Oct 11, 2011 1:46 PMHello gaurav,
I have tried re-installing.
I am able to open the web-admin and also all the links except the ones in the adapters section.
I have checked the installation document, adapter guide for BC 4.8 but i couldnt find anything useful.
I was just wondering if it has got anything to do with the OS.
lemme know if you have come across anything like this.
thanks for the help.

Problem: Accessing BAPI using SAP System Connector and setting SELOPT_TAB
Hi,
I am trying to use the SAP System Connector (based on JCA) to connect to a BAPI and do a search for a customer with EP SP15. (Using BAPI_CUSTOMER_FIND).
I established the connection and can set simple input parameters, however I didn't find a way for setting the SELOPT_TAB in the IInteraction instance.
This is what the table should contain:
Table SELOPT_TAB
Field Content
COMP_CODE SPACE
TABNAME KNA1
FIELDNAME NAME1
FIELDVALUE Ma*
Here the import parameter:
IMPORT-Parameter
MAX_CNT 100
PL_HOLD X
And here the code for the IInteraction without the SELOPT_TAB that I want to include.
// Get the Interaction interface for executing the command
IInteraction ix = connection.createInteractionEx();
IInteractionSpec ixspec = ix.getInteractionSpec();
String functionName = "BAPI_CUSTOMER_FIND";
ixspec.setPropertyValue("Name", functionName);
String function_out = "RESULT_TAB";
RecordFactory rf = ix.getRecordFactory();
MappedRecord input = rf.createMappedRecord("input");
// put function input parameters
input.put("MAX_CNT", "100");
input.put("PL_HOLD", "X");
MappedRecord output = (MappedRecord) ix.execute(ixspec, input);
Does anybody know how to set the SELOPT_TABLE as input parameter?
Any help would be appreciated.

How to install the SAP Java Connector
Hi,
I am unsure how to install the SAP Java Connector on Linux (Suse Linux Enterprise 10). The SAP Integration Kit install and admin guide says:
===
u2022 Copy the librfccm library and the libsapjcorfc library to busines
sobjects_root/enterprise120/PLATFORM_PATH, where busines
sobjects_root is the full path to your businessobjects directory,
and PLATFORM_PATH is your platform. For example, PLATFORM_PATH
is solaris_sparc for an installation on Solaris.
u2022 Use symbolic links for the location of the librfccm library and the lib
sapjcorfc library.
u2022 Add the location of the librfccm library and the libsapjcorfc library
to the library path.
===
Do I have to do all 3 steps or is the 1st one (copying of files) enough?
On the other hand, the SAP Java Connector guide says:
===
Then add {sapjco-install-path} to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.
Finally, add {sapjco-install-path}/sapjco.jar to your CLASSPATH environment variable.
===
So, what to do?
Thanks!Thanks for your help. So i copied the 2 files as mentioned in point 1.
Where do I have to copy the file sapjco.jar to? There is no shared lib folder after installing BO Edge 3.1 on a Linux system.
I copied the sapjco.jar to /bobje/tomcat/common/lib but still get the message that the Java Connector files are not in the correct directory.
I already copied the files librfccm.so and libsapjcorfc.so to /bobje/enterprise120/linux_x86 .
Thanks again!
Edit: problem solved: Copying the sapjco.so to tomcat/shared/lib is correct, if the directory doesn't exist then just create it (mkdir). The message is just plain information 7 hint.
