SAP BW 7.3: RSTRAN018 after adding attribute to an infoobject

Hello,
i added an attribute to an infoobject and tried to activate this. In the log messages i received the message RSTRAN018 "Generation status of transformation XY will be reset".
I never got this message in SAP BW 7.0. Is this just a kind of information (new in Release BW 7.3) which can be ignored or does it has an impact on the transformation in which the infoobject ist used (e.g. inactivation of the transformation)?
In general the adding of an attribute to an infoobject shouldn't affect the transformations in which the infoobject is used.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Andreas

Hello,
You are correct this text is added to BW 7.30 (onwards I guess). The message is purely for Information purposes and the transformation should not be deactivated and will remain active/usable. This was confimed by SAP dev.

Michael

  • Error when Refresh Planning after adding attribute V9.2.1

Has anyone encountered this and what is the solution:
Added new attribute dimension in planning web and added attribute members. When I try to do incremental or full refresh, receive error message:
Errors detected (AssocAttrDimension, 1060057) Could not associate attribute with member (attribute, member) Decanatura, Career -2147218881
Career is the dimension and Decanatura is the attribute added
    Using 9.2.1
    Thanks
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,
please find some findings from planning DBAG which may be useful to resolve your issue:
You can assign attributes only to sparse dimensions.
You cannot assign attributes to label-only members.
After you create attributes and attribute values, you can assign attribute values to each member of the dimension.
You must assign attribute values to dimension members at the same member level within a dimension.
You can define attribute values for Entity, user-defined custom dimensions, and Account
members if the Account dimension is designated as a sparse dimension in all plan types. You
can then assign attribute values to members of a dimension.
Attribute values for an attribute must be assigned to the same-level sparse dimension members.
Assigning an attribute value to another level causes an error during the application refresh.
    hope this helps.

  • Master data to be deleted after adding attribute

    Hii All,
I have a master data info object, which contains the data.what will happen if i add new attribute to this master data info object.
right now this master data info object doesn't contain any data for this newly added attribute.
then i tried to delete data from the master data info object.but it is not allowing me to do so as it is used in three info cubes. i think if i delete the data then it will allow me to delete data from master data info object. But that is not possible as subsequently i have to delete the data from info cube in productio also.
So ran full update for the master data info object now i have the data for the newly added attribute. But when i am running report and try to drill down on the newly added characteristic it shows "#" not assigned.
    What should i do..
    pls help..
    Regards,
    Viren

    Hi Rana
    1. <i>I have a master data info object, which contains the data.what will happen if i add new attribute to this master data info object.</i>
Nothing will happen if you add a new attribute to the existing one. If your adding in the dev system, it will as you to create a request when you activate it.Just create a request the transport it.
2.<i>But that is not possible as subsequently i have to delete the data from info cube in productio also.</i>
You can delete the data in the dev system cube irrespective of production server cube data. If you delete the cube then you have to worry but deleting the data from the cube is not to worry. You can go ahead with deleting the data in the cube in dev server.
3.<i>So ran full update for the master data info object now i have the data for the newly added attribute. But when i am running report and try to drill down on the newly added characteristic it shows "#" not assigned.</i>
AFter loading the data . right click on the master data object and clik on Activate masster data or RUn apply hierarchy attribute change in Tools menu.
    Hope this helps

  • Adding attributes to an infoobject with a reference char.

    Hello experts,
We want to add some new attributes to our custom infoobject that was created with reference char. = 0CUSTOMER.
Is this possible? These new fields will be populated from R3, will the user exit for master data, EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002, need to be enhanced for datasource 0CUSTOMER_ATTR?
    Thanks in advance,
    Inma

    Hi  inma moya,
You can not enhance any reference characteristics, as this characteristics takes reference table of source tables(0customer) only.
If you want to enhance these characteristics, you need to enhance 0CUSTOMER ONLY.
Then enhance objects will be automatically reflected into reference objects.
    Hope it Helps

  • "Error determining attribute" after adding navigational attribute to query

    Hello all,
We are getting a "Error Error determining attribute, Abort System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form RSRDR;SRRK0f30-01-" error message when running a query after adding a navigational attribute. We tried adding the attribute of the characteristic directly in the query and this works ok. But when we try using the navigational attribute we get the error. We would like to use the navigational attribute so we can filter based on this attribute.
We've searched for notes regarding this problem and haven't found any. Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Ron

    hi,
Please check if  number of the fields after adding the Navigationl attribute the should not cross 50.
Check the RSRV test for the master data whose navigational attribute u r trying to add.
    Thanks
    Mukesh

  • DataLoad-Problem after adding Nav-Attribute to InfoObject

    hi there,
i added a navigational attribute, which i newly created, to an existing infoobject, which had already data loads.
i activated the infoobject and modified the transformationrule to fill the new attribute of the infoobject.
after i activated the transformationrule, i started the infopackage to fill the new attribute.
after the load has finished, i i started a master-data-changerun.
but when i let me show the data in the infoobject, i view only the SID of the infoobject. all other attributes are empty.
i am not using a startroutine in the transformationrule.
when i debug the transformationrule, i can see all values (SIDs and attributes of the infoobject).
i tried the RSRV transaction to check the masterdata of the infoobject, but it shows no errors.
what can i do, to repair the infoobject?
    i'm using BI 7.0.
    regards,
    philipp

    Hi,
First step is the check the data insde P table ( example /BIC/PXXX which will be there in the in master data and text tab)
if you find the data for newely added attributes then it works fine.
    or else
    Delete the master data
programs for individual IinfoObject  master data deletion:
    RSDMD_DEL_BACKGROUND or RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA_TEXTS
then delete the transformation and recreate the transformation followed by DTP once again
activate all atributes individually once again
load data to the infoobject and check it.
you should be able to relove the problem

  • Usertable error after adding a udf

I have a UI add-on that assigns values to a UDT by usertable object of the DI API, the problem is generated after adding a UDF from SAP menu and try to assign a value from the DI. The error is Invalida Field Name
My question is, is necessary to wait a while until SAP records the new field to be accessible by usertable?
    Any suggestions?
    oUserTable.UserFields.Fields.Item("U_" + colName).Value = respuesta;

    Hi Ricardo,
As far as I know, you can use this field as soon as it is added to the usertable. But please make sure that this has been added successfully in your table and also make sure that ("U_" + colName ) is the same as it appears in SQL Server. Make sure that you are providing the right field name.
    Hope it helps.

  • Error message in WebGUI after adding fields with EEWB - Class doesn't exist

    Hello!
After adding fields to the component BT111H_OPPT within EEWB and BSP_WD_CMPWB I recieved an error message while trying to open an Opportunity in the WebGUI, stating:
    Cannot display view MainWindow
    An exception has occured
Exception Class CX_SY_DYN_ILLEGAL_CLASS - Method call of IF_BSP_WD_DYN_RT_REP_SUPPORT~GET_URL_PARAMETERS failed; the class ZL_BT111H_O_BSPWDCOMPONEN_IMPL does not exist
    Method: CL_BSP_WD_COMPONENT_FACTORY=>GET_REPOSITORY_XML
    Source text Row:25
An exception occured during the activation of target view CUBTOpptOverview.MainWindow for the navigation
    An exception has occured
Exceptions Class CX_BSP_WD_RUNTIME_ERROR - View CUBTOpptOverview.MainWindow could not be bound
    Method: CL_BSP_WD_VIEW_CONTROLLER=>BIND_VIEW
    Source text Row:162
Has any one an idea, if this could be a bug or what went wrong? I am especially irritated, that it seems, that class was not created. After all I never changed any tables or anything in the background manually. I just used the standard tool EEWB, nothing else.
Many thanks for any kind of help!
By the way, I tried to go back all the steps I took previously to, kind of "un-do" my error, but I was not able to delete all created extensions, due to a another error - but that's a different story, or isn't it?
    Cheers,
    Marek

    Hello Experts,
I know my question was a tricky one and no-one was able to help me from this forum. That's why I would like to share with you the solution I just recieved from SAP:
Although all classes that were created whilst extending the component BT111H_OPPT were deleted, there still existed a seperate extension definition in ViewCluster BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT still persisted.
I wasn't aware of the fact, that I had to delete that too.
Note: in order to delete ViewCluster, use tx SM34
    The problem ist now solved!
    Cheers!

  • Update beans after adding columns to DB tables

I am trying to use JDeveloper 10G , Studio Edition Version 10.1.3.0.4.3673
I am having difficulty finding out how to update CMP Entity Beans
after adding columns to DB tables.
I have found descriptions of how to do these from four sources.
    None of these methods work.
They all refer to menu options, buttons or fields that aren't in the JDevb IDE.
List of options that don't exist :
    "Synchronize with Database"
    "attributes"
    "Add from table"
    "New from Table"
    "Fields Tab"

What version of EJBs are you using?
The only option I know of for EJBs will be to generate the bean from the table again, or manually add the field to the EJB.
The "Synchronize with Database" operation is there for ADF Business Components but not for EJBs.

  • Cannot Start Weblogic Server After adding  Custom Authentication Provider

    Hi,
I implemented a Custom authentication provider and configured it wih Weblogic 10.3 application server. Although I successfully added Authentication provider, I couldn't restart my server. I used MBeanMaker utility to package my Authentication provider and login module. Although the MBean Utility signalled some warnings and severe messages, it successfully packaged the files. When I look at the config.xml file after adding he authenticator it just adds three lines
    ( <sec:authentication-provider>
    <sec:name>STOREDPROCEDURE</sec:name>
    </sec:authentication-provider>
) Although there are some other attributes of the authenticator.
    Please advice.
    Here is some stack trace.

You need to make sure that you nuke the whole directory that you are specifying to the MBean marker generator. For example, I use the following command to generate the provider jar file.
    java -Dfiles=$PRJROOT/ERModel/classes -DMDF=$PRJROOT/ERModel/classes/MyCustomAuthenticator.xml -DMJF=$PRJROOT/ERModel/custom-auth-provider.jar -DtargetNameSpace=http://xmlns.oracle.com/oracleas/schema/11/adf/sampleapp/weblogic/providers -DpreserveStubs=true -DcreateStubs=true weblogic.management.commo.WebLogicMBeanMaker1c
I need to nuke the directory in the -Dfile option i.e. 'rm -rf $PRJROOT/ERModel/classes/' each time I generate the jar file. If you don't, the jar file generates without any error but you will get a runtime exception.

  • Saving after adding comments

I either scan documents to PDF using Paperport program (came with printer) or have PDF's emailed to me from others.
When I open PDF documents eg invoices, I often need to add comment/s and then save the PDF.
Everytime I go to save after adding comments/sticky notes, Reader x makes me save either to a new location or change the name of the document- then I end up with 2 copies, original and commented. How do I change it to simply save/overwrite document in original location with same name?
    Windows 7 Home
Mnay thanks if you can offer me some help.

  • Problem adding attribute dimension

    Version: 9.2
    Cube: ASO
I feel like I am dropping the ball. I am trying to add an attribute to my ASO cube at the bottom of my outline. Everything I try to edit the member properties I get an "Attribute Calculations dimension can not be created". I don't have any calculations/consolidations.
When I click the database properties-->Attribute settings-->Calucation dimension names-->(try entering a name) all I get is "NULL value for member name string".
When I use ASOsamp(or any app) I can create/tag an attribute dimension though.

I guess you might've added a Gen1, member, i.e. a dimension, at the end of the outline & intended it to be an Attribute dimension. Correct?
If yes, after adding the member at the end,
    - Before opening the dialog for member properties, tag the dimension as "Attribute" by clicking on the appropriate icon, right on the outline page.
    - Associate this attr. dim to one of your sparse dims.
    - Add a member to the Attribute dim. & associate it with one of the members of sparse dim.
    - Now, it should let you save the outline.
    Good luck!
