SAP BW 7.4 ODQ and RSA7

Hi All,
We are planning to run BW 7.4 on HANA and BW 3.5(older content data sources) systems paralally with 1 ECC.
In RSA5 we have delivered version ODQ capable data source (2lis_11_vaitm), If i activate delivered content old data sources to BW 3.5 system will work? (there is no rollback if i activate the data source from content)
If it works delta queue's are maintained in RSA7 and ODQMON? any thoughts please share ..
Thanks.

First you need to understand the difference between ODQMON and RSA7.
RSA7 - Is for maintaining the Delta queue for BW system.
ODQMON - Is for maintaining the Delta Queue for external systems(BODS)
So just you need to activate from RSA5 and activate R\then replicate in bw side.
Then do all the needful activity in BW side.
And Delta Queue will maintained in RSA7.

SM

Could someone please explain what I should do with SMQ1 and RSA7 after a system copy?
I assume I would delete all queues which are pointing to old sid.?

    Jexun Wikdfire

    Hi,
SMQ1 : outbound queue for qRFC Monitor. this transaction is used  to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue and restart any hanging queues manually.
For the details please see the link below..
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/76/e12041c877f623e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
RSA7: In R3 it's show the delta queues for all data sources in the same source system.
For like  Data sources in R/3 will have their delta queues in R/3 and hence these will be displayed in RSA7 in R/3.
The main purpose to use RSA7 is to maintain the BW delta queue, it will generally show the status and the data source having the delta mode active .
You have to first  check the data source in the delta mode which are not getting populated in the RSA7 t-code .
Check the following link for the details..

  • SAP R/3 4.7 and EWM of SCM 5.0 Integration

    Hi,
Has anyone integrated SAP R/3 4.7 and EWM of SCM 5.0? It has got lot of issues in the following areas.
    1. Master Data - Business Partners - Customers are transferred to EWM as locations with location type 1010. But it is not transferred as business partners.
    2. Transactional Data - The QRFC is not working for inbound and outbound deliveries and the IDOC interface is not creating the delivery request at EWM.
    3. Internal warehouse processes - The simple thing like physical inventory document is not created. For physical inventory document, the system is asking the business partner, responsible person to dispose, shipping office, etc...
The documentation is not that clear and it doesn't give any specifics.
The integration points are not well defined and there are lot of gray elements in the configuration.
Has anyone faced the similar issues?
If you have any inputs, please let me know.
    Thanks for your input.
    Regards,
    SP

    Hi SP,
I have not worked on any implementation projects as of now. Anyways, I am attempting to answer the questions posted by you as I work on EWM. I hope my answers help you.
    1. Master Data -Business Partners - While CIFing the customers from R3 to EWM, choose the option "2 - Create Both" in CFM2 or CFM3 are then activate the model.
The option 2 will CIF the created customers as both Business Partners and as locations.
    2. Not much idea on Idoc's. Can you please provide more info about the status of the inbound and outbound deliveries? This can help checking the QRFC.
    3. Some settings to keep in mind while working with the internal Warehouse process - Physical Inventory
       - Craete a PI area and assign the permitted document types.
       - Assign this PI area to an activity area
       - In the customizing Specify Physical-Inventory-Specific Settings in the      Warehouse" - uncheck owner, part entiled to dispose and maintain the calender, fiscal year, currency.
I hope this is what you wanted as an answer.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Divya

    Hi Sunny ,
Thanks for the info .Just one more question does  SAP Java connector 3.06 is supported by R/34.7?
I am unable to find any information  regarding the same anywhere .
Only thing i found was that
SAP java connector Supports R/3 3.1I and higher (and other SAP Components that have BAPIs or RFMs).

  • How to import the SAP R/3' rfc's and Idoc's in to the integration repositor

    Hi all,
One of my friend who is practicing with SAP XI software. He installed SAP XI and SAP R/3(using the VmwareWorkstation ) in single system. What i have seen that is,
Left side we can see(IR) the software component version's and namespaces. Under namespaces we can see imported objects. If we right click on the imported objects then it will show “ import of SAP objects”.
Then it generally show SAP R/3 system name and client number(800) + input text parameters for the application server and system number.
But what it was showing that  XI's system name and XI's client(100) number. Even i have entered SAP R/3 server name and system number and it's username and password. Then it was telling the corresponding client doesn't exist.
Please help me to solve this problem.

    Hi,
There is lot difference between 4.6c and 6.0
    1) ecc 6.0 coming with inbuild webdynpro , BSP it is not 4.6c
    2) In ecc we have interactive forms concept where it was not there in 4.6c
    3) 4.6c there is no unicode concept here we have unicode and non unicode

  • SAP Insider Conference on Reporting and BI - April 20-22, 2009

The first of five SAP Insider Conference semiars will be held next week, don't forget to register for the one closest to you!
SAP Insider Conference on Reporting and Business Intelligence with SAP and BusinessObjects
April 20-22, 2009 in Las Vegas, USA.
Other dates and locations include Orlando, Chicago, Boston and Frankfurt.
Registration and additional information including agendas and speakers can be found [here|http://www.biseminar.com/homepage.cfm?usergroup=us].

    Hi
I have access to nearly 10,000 SAP related industry presentations from various sources which I have been collecting over the years.  I intend to provide links to the BI related presentations which are freely available.  I have started with a post to this forum.
In regards to user group information in Australia I have been on the SAP Australian User Group executive for a number of years.  SAP University Alliance members pay approximately $AUD500 annual membership for the user group.  We have created best ERP student prizes ($500) for these university members so the membership dues are indirectly returned to the universities.  It is up to each university to determine how they award these prizes.  The best students are listed on the user group web site (www.saug.com.au).  This encourages university membership in the user group and raises the profile of the user group with students.  Approximately 50% of the university alliance members in Australia are members of the user group.
In addition I facilitate staff and students contact with member companies for the purpose of research.  This tends to be in the format of interviews at our events rather than surveys.
We also utilise university staff at the user group events to conduct education sessions as a foundation to some of SAP's solutions.  For example data mining 101, business process modelling 101, MRP 101.  This brings academia and industry closer in the SAP ecosystem.
I hope this provides some ideas for the ASUG collaboration

  • ABAP differences of SAP R/3 4.6 and ECC 6.0

What are the ABAP differences of SAP R/3 4.6 and ECC 6.0?

    Hi
Difference between version on functionalities you can find on the following link.
Give the source version (i.e. 4.6 C) and select the target version (i.e. ECC 6.0)
    http://solutionbrowser.erp.sap.fmpmedia.com/
Please check this Release notes :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/43/6880cbb88f297ee10000000a422035/content.htm
    Check if this is helpfull
    Short Difference between R/3 4.7, ECC5 & ECC6 !!!!!
    1. SAP NetWeaver is SAP's technology platform. It has all of SAP's
technology in it. It is used to build and run SAP Applications and customer
applications (Application server, data warehouse, portal, coding, messaging,
etc). You can find more information on the SAP NetWeaver page on the SAP
Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com/netweaver). Of course they is
also in on the SAP NetWeaver page in SDN.
    2. ABAP is part of SAP NetWeaver. BW is part of SAP NetWeaver (as of
    the 3.5release).
    3. Prior to SAP NetWeaver, BW was a seperate product. It is shipped as part
of SAP NetWeaver since the SAP NetWeaver '04 release (SAP NetWeaver BI 3.5).
    4. SAP ECC is part of the SAP ERP application (actually it is the minimal
installation of SAP ERP). SAP ERP runs on SAP NetWeaver. So when you get SAP
    ERP you get SAP NetWeaver.
    - SAP ECC 5.0 is part of SAP ERP 2004 [which runs on SAP NetWeaver '04]
    - SAP ECC 6.0 is part of SAP ERP 6.0 (2005) [which runs on SAP
    NetWeaver 7.0(2004s)]
    5. SAP NetWeaver is delivered with SAP ERP so ABAP and the functional
modules are include in SAP ERP.
    6. With SAP ERP (SAP ECC) you have a choice of activating BI within the SAP
ERP system or deploying in a seperate system. This is information is in the
SAP ERP master guides which can be found at
    http://service.sap.com/instguides.
For SAP ERP 6.0 (ECC 6.0) it will the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 version of BI.
    Also check
    /thread/170347 [original link is broken]
The only difference between ECC5 and ECC6 is that additional components like mySAPCRM, mySAPPLM, mySAPSCM, mySAPSRM are added in ECC6.0. HR was already a part of ECC5.0.

  • SAP Portal Network - WebDynpro iView and SAP Application iView sharing

    Hello All,
I've read about the restrictions in SAP Portal supporting the WSRP standard for application sharing. Mainly WebDynpro iViews and SAP application iViews sharing is not supported. That is in the case of a SAP Portal as producer and Non-SAPPortal as consumer.
I'm interested in a WebDynpro iViews and SAP application iViews sharing in a only-SAP Portals Network, where SAP Portals act as producer and consumer.
I've heard about the Remote Role Assignment and Remote Content Copy that are used in such case. I would like to ask if anyone knows if these can help overcome the restriction in sharing WebDynpro iViews and SAP application iViews that is present with WSRP? And if the advantage of WSPR, that is the application execution and rendering on the producer side, and as follows decreasing of bandwidth usage, is remaining in the case of the Remote Role Assignment and Remote Content Copy.
    Thanks,
    Mladen

    Hi Manish,
for sharing content between SAP and non-SAP Portals, your case, refer to
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/23fb36cad10d23e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
All the possibilities and restrictions of WSPR in the case of SAP EP are explaind there.
For sharing content between only SAP Portals refer to my other thread:

  • Com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.svc and com.sap.aii.adapter.jms.svc don't start

    Hello,
In order to configure JMS Receiver Adapter to access Websphere Application Server 7.0, I have recently deployed file com.sap.aii.adapter.lib.sca with the following libraries:
    com.sap.aii.adapter.lib_api.jar
    com.ibm.ws.ejb.thinclient_7.0.0.jar

Could anyone tell me why is trying to connect to "corbaloc:iiop:1.0(at)sapdpi-lpar:2809/NameService"? Do I have to configure a default provider URL for SAP PI server? If so, where I configure it? Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Portal Drive Error--re-install SAP NW Portal Drive software and try again

    Dear Experts,
Could you please let me know if there is any permanent fix for
    Portal Drive inconsistence behaviour.
    1.We use NW2004s SPS 13.
2.After the installation of Portal Drive (version 4.5.6796 ) on an
desktop, windows is not stable and must be restart (cold start).
    3. After the restart the problems still exists and only a
    deinstallation resolves the problem.
    4. Sometimes the problem occurs on connecting to a service,
    sometimes on disconnecting.
Sometimes on starting windows, but before the load of Protal
    Drive.
5."Presently we are getting error SAP NetWeaver Portal Drive is not installed or configured correctly. Please re-install SAP
NetWeaver Portal Drive software and try again"
    6. If we uninstall it and reinstall, it is working fine.
I wanted to know if there is any permanent fix for this inconsistance in Portal drive.
Because i have received complaints from more than 9 users in this week.
    Really thanks for helping me

    Hi,
I want to put another question to forum members linked to the above query only. As of now we separate the employee in PA40 personnel actions t-code, now if we use termination workbench, then Pa30 IT0000 does not get updated for the Separation action. In this case do we need to first run the Separation action in PA40 and then through Termination workbench also?
    Please help ASAP.
    Regards
    Neha
