SAP BW Standard DataSources not fetching records after SP12 upgrade on ECC Side
Hi All,
Few days back we had a SP 12 on ECC side.
Since then we are unable to load data through 0WBS_ELEMT_ATTR & 0PROJECT.
Even in RSA3 we are not able to get any records. After running for few minutes It just returns zero records.
Our BW system is SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.31.
ECC system is EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0
Please help us to solve the issue.
Kind Regards,
Hardeep
Hi Hardeep,
Please activate the datasources again in RSA5 and then try extracting from RSA3. You may have to regenrate the program for the extracts.
Refer note:
1764182 - BW-BCT: No records from PS master DataSources
This SAP note explains exactly what you have to do after upgrade.
Please let me know if this do not work.
Thanks
Amit

JDBC Sender Adapter - NOT FETCHING RECORDS...
Hello Experts,
I know this was answered in a separate thread (JDBC Sender Adapter - NOT FETCHING RECORDS -PROCESSING STARTED).
However, my question is, Is there a way that we can be notified if a channel has stopped fetching records?
or is there a reporting tool that can be used to check/monitor if a channel is not processing any messages?
Thanks & Kregards,
allarHi Sreedhar,
Thanks for your reply.
These case is not being captured by our alert configuration because its not throwing any error.
in the communication channel monitoring, we see only something like this..:
3/16/09 8:25:19 PM Processing started
3/16/09 8:34:20 PM Processing started
3/16/09 8:33:55 PM Processing started
3/16/09 8:32:54 PM Processing started
but no error is being displayed nor sent.
Also, there was a case that the channel just stopped fetching, even though everything is active.
example log:
3/12/09 8:32:54 PM Processing started
We're looking for ways on how we can trap these scenarios as early as possible, get us notified and perform adapter-lock release when needed.

How to notify in case SQL query(JDBC sender adapter) does not fetch records
hi,
How can we notify(by alerts or something) in case SQL query(JDBC sender adapter) does not fetch records? In channels logs it only says processing started & finished(no message is created for same).
Thanks,
MayankHi,
1 ) What is exact audit log message ?
2) Try fetching the count in SQL statement if there are any valid records it will give the count.
May for testing you can use <TEST> in update statement.
3) Have you used taskTimeout parameter ?
4) Are multiple channels polling on same table ?
regards

"disp+work" process in not getting started after kernel upgradation
Hello Experts,
Good day…..,
I am new to SAP. I installed SAP ECC6 EHP4 with default kernel version 701 and it was working fine.
I have upgraded kernel version from 701 to 741, but the “disp+work” process is not getting started after kernel upgrade.
I have posted “dev_W0” log &
“disp+work” command result obtained in CMD prompt of respective server.
Please help me out in this. Thanks all in advance.

JDBC Sender Adapter - NOT FETCHING RECORDS -PROCESSING STARTED
Hello all,
I have set up a JDBC sender adapter .With polling interval as 30 Seconds. Polling is done successfully
but it does not fetch the records .
Valid Data is present in the tables.In the Communication Channel Monitoring log shows :
"Processing Started"
after each poll interval.
Adding to this , it was working fine with the same parameters two days back.
I have enabled the Driver Trace but didnot get any information from Trace.
How to resolve this issue?Any help
Regards
Ganga PrasadHello maheshwari,
Valid Data is there & many records are there to be fetched.
One more thing Normally in the Communication Channel Monitoring
for an JDBC adapter even if there are no records to fetch we get the Log information in detail that :
Polling interval started.
Processing finished successfully
Processing started
Polling interval started.
Processing finished successfully
Processing started
But here in my case am getting only : (polling interval : is 60 Seconds)
2/5/08 8:29:19 AM Processing started
2/5/08 8:28:19 AM Processing started
2/4/08 3:34:54 PM Processing started
2/4/08 3:33:54 PM Processing started
One more observation is that my poll interval is 60 seconds but now it is polling after every 120sec
2/5/08 11:17:31 AM Processing started
2/5/08 11:15:31 AM Processing started
2/5/08 11:13:31 AM Processing started
2/5/08 11:11:31 AM Processing started
I have tried refreshing Cache but no change .

The following trigger first fetch the record from paymaster. It will put the paymst_list cursor in loop, if transaction exists in the transaction(tran_list) file for the given period (form variable month) it will update the transaction file by calculating salary (variable sal),Conveyance (variable conv) etc based on number of days absent ( i.e. proportionate ). If transaction does not exists in transaction file it will take the basic from paymaster and calculate the rest.
Where as the following trigger does not work properly, it inserts the record correctly but, but will not update. I think the cursor tran_list does not fetch any record. Can any one help me Please.

:proce_desc := tmp_name;
INSERT INTO tran (empcode,month,sal,conv,pf,pt) VALUES
(tmp_empcode,:month, cal_sal,cal_conv,cal_pf,cal_proftax);
IF tran_list%FOUND THEN
---ELSE
cal_present := :total_days - tmp_absent;
cal_sal := tmp_basic/:total_days * cal_present;
cal_pf := tmp_basic * 10 / 100;
cal_conv := 800;
cal_proftax := 200;
UPDATE tran SET sal = cal_sal,conv = cal_conv,pf = cal_pf
WHERE empcode = tmp_empcode and month = :month ;
END IF;
END IF;
CLOSE tran_list;
EXIT WHEN paymast_list%NOTFOUND;
END LOOP;
COMMIT;
CLOSE paymast_list;
END;
nullhi,
you are checking the tran_list%FOUND within the tran_list%NOTFOUND checking. You have commented the ELSE part. You should comment before tran_list%FOUND and one ENDIF. You should try once. -
Not show record after clear_form(no_validate)
hi master
sir first i press add button with under blow code
create_record
after this i press cancel button with this code
clear_form(no_validate);
execute_query;
first_record;
but sir my system not show record when i press view button then show all record why sir i think system show all record after cancel button becuase i give execute_query command
please sir give me idea
thank's
AamirDear Aamir,
The block which contains your buttons might be a control block (i.e. a non database block) and you cannot write execute_query on such blocks.
To achieve this,
Move Control to your database block by writting
Go_Block('<block_name>');
clear_block(no_validate);
execute_query;
This will definitely solve your problem.

List Of Value not fetching records
I have a ViewObject (VO1) with a ListOfValue that points to a ViewObject (VO2), and fetches records from VO2. There is no ViewCriteria added on VO2.
When testing in the BC tester, the LOV works fine. Both on editing a row in VO1, and when creating a row in VO1.
Using the LOV in a jspx page, the LOV works fine when editing a row in VO1. But when I'm creating a new row in the jspx page, the LOV doesn't fetch any records. Just an empty list.
I can't figure out what is wrong, or why it doesn't work. I have created several LOV all working like a charm, but this one is making me tear my hair out.
Anyone else experienced a similar scenario where a LOV only works upon editing a row?
Any ideas what can be wrong?

Upgrading SAP ESS and MSS after HR upgrade in ECC 6.0
Hello
I am new to SAP netweaver.
Our landscape has an ECC 6.0 system integrated with EP 7.0.
We recently upgraded our SAP HR from 600(SP 48) to 600(SP61) and EA HR component from 603(SP 22) to 603( SP 35).
After the upgrade we came to know that the portal users are facing some issues with Etime application on portal, i did a bit of searching and found that we have to upgrade SAP ESS, MSS and ERP5COM components. (http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPHCM/HOWTOGETRIDOFSPSTACKMISMATCHISSUES)
My questions are:
1) Can we directly apply SP's for ESS, MSS and other components as i cannot find any prerequisites required to be met before they have to applied?
2)If we have ESS SP 04 and the required version is ESS SP07, can we directly apply SP 07 or we have to first apply in a sequence SP05, SP06 and then move to SP07?
Thanks a lot!
VarunHello,
1) If a developer modified the ESS/MSS package, you need to ask the developer before you apply the patches. In this case, you find the "local version is modified" text in the corresponding package.
2) Java Patches are cumulative, which means that higher Patch contains all corrections of lower Patches.([SAP Note 1249886|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1249886])

We have Upgraded the Oracle 9i to 10.2.0.4 for sap 4.6C production machine. After the upgrade the sap was succesfully able to start. even i can see the version was reflected in the sap system status. in the Opatch lsinventory all the bug fixes are covered. However when ever the brtools starts like taking the backup, or dbcheck, or archivelog backup. we are getting terminated with errors and the system system hangs. here is the initSID.log as follows.

can any one please help me on this . as this is production we are facing this problem from past 3 weeks. no one was able to analyze whats giong wrong. so because of this we even stopped the backup's of archivelog and online backup. Please some one help me asap. Your help is really appreciated.
HemanthHi Stefan,
I have already raised an sap call with very high priority. Sap has also verified and given me a few commands to verify if there any data block corruptions by using the dbverify and export of database to null. The export log and the db verify log shows no error. all the database if fine without any data block corruptions. is it like if patchset is not done well then will be get these type of problems? But i can see the Opatch lsinventory log shows all the patchsets and the bugs covered as per the patchset we applied. here is the Opatch lsinventory logfile for your reference. finally sap told that it is due to fault memory chip. we also did a memory test to see is it really a fault memory chip. but the memory test shows no errors. what could be the error. please help!

Backend PO not getting created after EHP6 upgrade
Hi Friends,
Recently there was an SAP patch upgrade in ECC 6.0 and after that while creating the shopping cart the PO is created, but it is not transferring to ECC. We are using the extended classic scenario SAP SRM 7.0. I had checked almost everything right from debugging still clueless. even checked the forums but still the issue is not resolved. Any hints of how to proceed now.
Regards,
Ramesh.When We are creating shopping cart, system will create Po in back end based on our BAPI.
Check whether BAPI is running properly or not. You are updated new version EHP6 , I hope you should do required configuration. Try in development server whether Po are creating backend or not.
I hope you should check all the configuration in backend system i.e in ECC and SRM side.
Do again batch running and check whether back ground job getting created or not. -
Tuxedo not starting up after Database upgrade to 9.2.0.8 on AIX 5.2
Hi All,
Server AIX 5.2
Database 9.2.0.8.
I recently upgraded my Oracle database from 9.2.0.6 to 9.2.0.8 and after the upgrade Tuxedo has failed to start successfully.
I am getting the error messages
CMDTUX_CAT:819: INFO: Process id=41800 Assume started (pipe)..
I have been reading a number of articles on metalink and the web and they seem to point to an incompatible version somewhere.
The upgrade went through without any error messages.
The strange thing is that the XA log files from when the application was working correctly before the upgrade show
ORACLE XA: Version 9.2.0.1.0. RM name = 'Oracle_XA'
in the headers of the logfiles however after the upgrade the info in the header has changed to
ORACLE XA: Version 8.0.6.0.0. RM name = 'Oracle_XA'.
Does anyone know any reason why the 9.2.0.8 patch will changed the Oracle_XA version?
Has anyone come across this before?
Please help.
MikeHi Madrid,
Please note that the xa traces file name changes to non Y2K comnpatapable i.,e a 2 digit year after the upgrade

I know this may sound silly but after the upgrade (and this is the second time i have done it) it seems to change the format of the logfiles.
This happened last week and the patch was rolled back and the application worked fine.
Did the upgrade again and the same issue arose.
The app dont start and the logfile format have changed again.
The format before the upgrade was xa_CLSUAT_07022007 but after the upgrade it as changed to xa_CLSUAT_070207.
The upgrade went fine but my question here is does the 9208 change any date format in the database?
I am showing the contents of the xa* trace files before and after the upgrade.

to
ORACLE XA: Version 8.0.6.0.0. RM name = 'Oracle_XA'.
After the upgrade.
Any ideas why is this happening?

Calendar not working properly after software upgrade
Today I upgraded my touch software to version 4.1 (8B117). Since this upgrade, the calendar doesn't work properly. Before the upgrade this is the scenario: I would go into my Calendar (synced with my gmail calendar) in "List" view. There was always a brief pause where the calendar would refresh. The screen would go white for a second and the "List" view would reappear. After the upgrade, I see the same refresh but the screen stays white. It won't display my calendar in "List" view anymore... unless I click on either "Day" or "Month" view and then back to "List". Anyone else experiencing this? I don't know if the upgrade is the reason but that's the only thing that changed today so I'm very suspicious.
Not sorted on mine,
Dates are added at random, so are times, i.e. a item in outlook 2010 is set for 09.00am on the 16 dec 2010.
the date will come up as 14.35pm 20 dec 2010 on the ipod. This also occurs with repeated items, weekly, monthly and annual. as a % its about 5/15% of all appointments but they are the ones that matter most.
Things I have tried to resolve this include the following,
I have reset the ipod with factory settings, I have deleted All dates in outlook then synced to ensure all dates have been deleted, I have also tried the above and then reflashed the update before re syncing them.,
Selected replace items on next sync button in itunes 10.1.0.54
put repeating dates in and they have All been date changed and hours changed at random. BUT not changed in outlook on re-syncing. I know that the database is fine as I have also synced with an Android phone and a Win Mobile 6.5 phone and the dates Have correctly entered in both devices.
Some of the dates have changed by as much as 9 days, the hours by minutes up to 16/17 hours.
Ipod details, 32Gb at present 24Gb free so not a space issue...
The ipod touch has been updated with 4.2.1 (8C148) Running itunes 10.1.0.54
settings in ipod are for location london, in general and also im mail.
(factory reset not upgraded and also tried on 2 computers running win7 pro 1 x32bit 1x64bit) -
ITunes not working properly after Firefox upgrade. What is corrective measure?
iTunes "store" indicates error #42403. It does not load. However, radio does work. This seemed to happen after I upgraded Firefox.
Here's an update:
1. The fan problem had to do with WindowsXP (new installation and/or drivers). The fan would simply not obey the Battery Optimized Cooling Method, and would work at full throttle all the time. Since i could not pinpoint the problem, i decided to use Acronis True Image Corporate Workstation to create an exact copy of my old configuration and HD contents, re-installed that, and that resolved the fan problem.
2. Concerning the new 80GB 5400rpm 16mb hard disk, well, it is very noisy compared to the original Fujitsu HD the laptop had. I decided to return it next day, and got a Hitachi Travelstar 80GN instead (80GB 4200 rpm 8mb) which is very quiet, just like the Fujitsu 40GB one.
