SAP Carbon Impact Testing Document

Hi,
I am currently working on SAP Carbon Impact. I am just preparing the testing documents for SAP carbon impact report. I am confused about the contents of the testing document. What should be testing criteria for a SAP cabon impact report and what will be there in the testing document. I also want to know about the test cases that can be used to test the report. please guide me through the process. If you have any document regarding this ....Please forward me.

I'm sorry, but your question on testing is very general. And asking to have help documents forwarded to you is, well, unhelpful.
A general "testing" approach is to establish customer metrics first. Do you want to test the validity of data submitted or collected? In other words, are you asking about testing for audit purpose, or are you asking about repeatable, scientific testing to verify carbon emissions from a specific business?

Difference between SAP Carbon Impact and SAP EHS - Environment Compliance

I am confused between the functionality offered by SAP Carbon Impact and how different it is from SAP EHS Management - Environment Compliance. I understand that both of them are different technical products from SAP with Carbon Impact being an on-demand solution which was acquired from Clear Standards earlier this year.
However they seem to have an overlap in their functionality. Even the websites seem to talk about addressing similar issues.

Hi Girish. While these two solutions both help manage environmental emissions, the specific pain points each address are distinctly different. Hopefully I can help explain. <p>
Environmental Compliance (EC) is a solution designed to help manage the heavy regulatory burdens associated with emission related compliance. EC helps you measure and monitor your direct emissions irrespective of medium (i.e. air, water, or solid waste) and manage these emissions against regulatory requirements. As an example, Title V air permits are typically hundreds of pages long and filled with numerous requirements and conditions. In order to meet the demands of the permit, thousands of tasks must be managed throughout the plantu2014be it calibrating a piece of machinery or measuring the sulfur content of fuel oil. EC provides a framework to break the permit down into its respective pieces and establish workflows to ensure compliance by managing the required tasks against the associated emissions. You can also set emission limit alerts in EC to trigger specified actions to help you proactively address your emissions as opposed to a more reactive approach taken after a permit requirement has been broken. EC also helps with the regulatory reporting of your emissions and compliance efforts by enabling you to create templatized versions of commonly required reportsu2014all available at the push of a button, or they can even be automated. <p>
Carbon Impact (CI) also helps you measure and monitor your emissions, but the real focus of this solution is on gathering enterprise-wide greenhouse gas emissions across geographies and scopes. For example, CI allows you to capture your direct emissions (Scope 1), your electricity emissions (Scope 2), and your indirect emissions (Scope 3). Scope 3 emissions are also sometimes referred to as supply chain emissions (both upstream and downstream) and can be the most difficult emissions category to capture when creating your enterpriseu2019s carbon inventory. For example, letu2019s say you own a steel mill. The ore that comes into your plant has an associated upstream greenhouse gas emission arising from the mining process and when you ship your final product there are emissions associated with the transport of your product to your customer. Beyond the plant, employee travel is another type of Scope 3 emission. If your company already runs SAP, you will benefit from CIu2019s integration into our Suite that allows you to quickly access your different sources of emissionsu2014be they Scope 1, 2, or 3. Often times a helpful way to understand the difference between the two solutions is to think about how they work together. If you implemented both of them, EC would be the solution that would help you collect direct emissions data and manage the associated regulatory requirements. The EC emission data would then feed into Carbon Impact to represent your direct emissions. Carbon Impact would then gather your remaining emissions as described above to give you your entire emission footprint and then help identify the best way to reduce it.

Hi Ujwal,
The Business Process Change Analyser in Solution Manager compares a technical BOM (TBOM) that is maintained within a solution, or project, against a transport order that is maintained within a managed system. The TBOM is a listing of all technical objects, for example tables, programs etc, that are used by the managed system. BPCA checks the contents of the transport order against the TBOM. BPCA then highlights the objects in the TBOM that will be impacted when you import the transport order into production. From the BPCA you can directly create a Test Plan and select the test cases that will test the objects that will change.
SAP TAO inspects transactions to determine the technical information required to generate an automated test. TAO then creates scripting for HP Quick Test Pro test cases and can create business components in HP Quality Center that can be used to compose business process tests.
HP Change Impact Testing allows you to import changes from the SAP correction and transport system, analyse and identify the impact of changes, assess their risk and recommend which business processes to test.

NI-DAQmx: Impact Test real-imagine plot

Hello.
I am a student of mechanical engineering and I am not familiar with signal proccessing. I have to use LABView for a measurement experiment. In that project I have to use an impact hammer and an accelerometer to test surfaces of some specific meterials. My teacher tell me that I have to take the real-imagine plot of undamaged pieces as a model so I can use them at future for model. My problem is that the code I had write or the one that I use form NI example (NI-DAQmx: Impact Test) returns me a messy plot no matter how many hits I made. My teacher said me that as many hits I do the plot will be more clear but he cannot figure out what goes wrong either cause he is not familiar with labview neiher.
I wrote two different codes one using ready VI's and one that made the mathematic as my theory book say.
Please help me cause I am in a dead-end and can't move on with that.
I can post images from my codes or how I use the NI-DAQmx: Impact Test.

An accelerometer is a type of sensor that is used to measure acceleration and output a corresponding voltage. Using Data Acquisition (DAQ) hardware, you can acquire the voltage from the accelerometer. However, most accelerometers will need some form of current excitation, typically IEPE Excitation which is a widely used standard. You can view these sites for a discussion of Accelerometer Principles and Types of Accelerometers.
Some DAQ cards are custom built to not only acquire the voltage but to supply the excitation current at the same time, specifically Dynamic Signal Acquisition (DSA) cards. An acceleration task is an instance of a DAQmx input task specially created for measuring accelerometers. You can programmatically configure the task in the LabVIEW or create the task in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), as seen in this Knowledge Base. You will notice in the screenshot below, when configuring an acceleration task in MAX, you can supply values for the accelerometer's sensitivity, units, and the amount of current needed by the accelerometer. All of these values can be found in an accelerometer's specifications document. By entering these values, an acceleration task will allow you take the voltage measurements and scale them into g's or whatever unit your accelerometer measures. This way you do not have to create a custom scale yourself.

How to Add Non SAP steps in test package

Hi Experts,
As our Client requirement is to load end to end test scripts/packages in solution manager. which includes non sap systems where it does not have URL and that legecy system contains 4 to 5 legecy steps(i.e as a place holder as text) along with 5 to 6 sap steps.
in solution manager test package should show all sap and legecy steps(i.e as a place holder as text) which is total 10 to 11 steps.
Can any one guide me on this please.

Hello Naveen,
the approach for non-SAP steps is more or less the same like for SAP steps using SOLAR02.
The only difference in your case (without URL) is that you can't assign a test object to the related test document and so navigation to the system under test will not work.

I would be glad to know if you can give me a step by step screenshot document for a Loadtest on SAP Application ( Any Module).
Y i am asking you all this,.. well, downloading and installing a loadrunner on a desktop/standallone machine is very simple,.. but when it comes to Network environment where you have Controller installed on one machine and Load Generators on Another machine.. and Diagnostics installed on ( i donno where it will be installed ) user/server machine.. it is really difficult to imagine/assume/picturize the whole scenerio by taking x as example..
I would be really glad and thankfull if someone can let us know, how to quick start a project..
I have gone thru the Documentation " How to Perform SAP EP Load Testing.." good enough to understand but it would be more good if someone have articulated with interactive screenshots..

Project Profile shows the behavior of the project. It contains basic settings related to Organization structure, Planning, Settlement, and various profiles which contains different settings.
so this is very important and critical field in Project. So you have to check setting in that profile and compare to correct one.

How to judge correct rap in impact test

Hi,guys
   I get a trouble during my impact test project.
   I use PCI-4472 and one module hammer connect to channel 0 and one accelerometer connect to channel 1.
   hammer as trigger of accelerometer to get impact response.
   My question is
   1) I need make sure the rap of hammer only once in each impact action. if yes, then record related response from accelerometer, if no, I need repeat impact action without record response. how can i check that?
   2) for this case, if I need average yet? ( I saw the SVXMPL_impact test(DAQmx).vi, it take some average computed for data, but for my application,since the impact only once each time, then if I can ignore the average function? I have few knowlegae about average theory.)
   3)how much samples I should use?

I assume you take a look at the hammer signal and look for more than one peak. Well do the same in LabVIEW. Hint:

What is the lowest frequency you want to detect? You should at least capture 1 period. Together with pretrigger and windowing go for 2 periods
What is the highest frequency you expect? For impact choose your sample rate at least 10x better 100x times higher. (Some say choose the highest you can get to avoid phaseshifts due to the aliasing filter)
Both values will give you the number of samples.

I believe you'd need a third party scanning software. SRM does not provide such feature.

Use of Impact Test with SW Trigger(DAQmx) vi

Hello,
I working on modal analysis (with hammer) and so I am trying to use Impact Test with SW Trigger(DAQmx) vi but I don't get signal of the acceleration (should be acquire as voltage), whereas I get the impact. And when I impact the beam I have an error message which says the sampling frequency should be more than 0.

Can you check the "physical channels (stimulus and response)" input to ensure that you have at least 2 signals? I get this error when I am selecting only one channel.

When saving a test document an error occurs untitled.pages-tef could't be opened appears any suggestions!
