SAP Community Network Top Contributor 2008

Hi,
I got a mail from anotherworld-km.com stating :"In appreciation of your active contribution, we will be sending you a Community Badge to mark your achievement in becoming an SAP Community Network 2008 Top Contributor." They also asked for shipment address so that they can send the same in a mnth. Did ne 1 got this mail. Wat is it all about?? Do we really get a badge for contribution or is it jst a promotional mail???

Who is going to decline the "Community Badge" when they are going to receive it from SDN.
Everyone receives it like an honor from SDN; however its a good option to decline so that the money spend in courier can also be utilized for "Food for Points" initiative:)

    Hello All,
    I think SDN is providing Community badge to people every year.. Can i know what is the Criteria to get this badge.
    Apart from this can i know bit detail how am i contributing the UN Food Program.

    Thanks for the reply... i was not aware of the community badge won't be given.
    What i was interested  in knowing is for example if i reply 100 questions and ask 50 questions a year , will my contribtiion is for 150 posts or for 100 .... Is this the way i am contributing.
    I have read some links but i didn't find this may be i might not have read the correct thread for UN program....

    Is the process of sending Sap community badges has been stopped ?
    I recieved a mail from lisa.london @ anotherworld-km dot com  3 months back
    stating that they will be sending sap community badge for being one of the
    top contributors of 2008 but i didnt recieve anything until now.
    I know there may be a delay for 1 month but now it is more than 3 months.

    My Personal experience:Same mail i also received some 3 months back.And i received Sap community badge in hardly one month.
    Make sure your address in BC are correct and well updated. because they send as per your details mentioned on your BC.
    surely you will get some time. Sometime it may take time for custom clearence
    stay Calm you will get surly.

  • SAP ECC 6 Upgrade to 2008 R2 and Virtualization success/failure stories

    I'm planning the following upgrade on my SAP Ecc 6.0 :
    Source CI : physical server on windows 2003 x64 SP2,
    Target CI : virtual server under vsphere 5.0 Windows 2008 x64 R2,
    Source DB : physical server on windows 2003 x64 SP2, SQL 2005 SP2
    Target DB : virtual server on windows 2008 x64 R2, SQL 2008 R2
    Target physical boxes are not the same as source..
    I've already verified pre-requisites, best practices, upgrade path on notes, forums,etc ..
    What I haven't found, are the different experiences (success or failure stories) people had with performances while performing such an upgrade, especially with the path I want to use :
    1) P2V the 2 servers
    2) Upgrade to W2008 R2
    3) Upgrade SQL to SQL 2008 R2
    Although technically it works (tested on sandbox) I'm just wondering in a long term and with load, if such a enviroment will run without issues in production.
    I know that some of you will advice me to create new clean installs and use "system copy" but I would like to avoid changing my hostnames because of dependencies (with BI, CRM, transport system etc...) UNLESS someone tells me that he experienced the P2V method and lived a nightmare.
    My second question would be : for the DB : has someone tested having DB on VMDK disks versus RDM disks.

    Answer to your above 3 questions : approach has been successful. I had done it at 2 places.
    My second question would be : for the DB : has someone tested having DB on VMDK disks versus RDM disks.

  • Top Contributors based on reputation points - Web part

    I am working on a requirement where a Task list with multiple subtasks is created, some reputations points are awarded to assignees on completion of sub/tasks. Now if a assignee
    is already carrying some points and some new points are awarded on completion of latest task and how do we calculate the total number of reputation points. And how do we display top awardees in a webpart. Its similar to top contributor web part in MSDN forums.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

  • SAP Authentication issue in Xcelsius 2008 SP4

    Ingo Can you help me?
    Xcelsius 2008 SP4 Failed to Open/Save from BusinessObjects Enterprise and throws an error Failed While Trying to Logon User "0000" RFC error: "LOGON_DATA_INCOMPLETE" when using SAP Authentication.
    It works perfect with Enterprise.
    Recently we have upgraded from Xcelsius 2008 SP3 FP 3.5 to Xcelsius 2008 SP4. It also displays the password without encrypting.
    BOE 3.1 Sp3
    Integration Kit SP3Fix Pack 3.2
    SAP GUI 720
    Xcelsius 2008 SP4
    It was working good with SAP Authentication when using Xcelsius 2008 SP3 FP3.5

    Hi,
    As a starting point, i would strongly recommend you standardise all your component versions.
    from what i can see, you've just asserted that Server, Integration Kit, and Client  are all on different Fix levels..
    that's not a nice baseline on which to investigate!  
    Also, patching would also include importing the correct SAP Transports into your BW. (they change almost every FP)

  • SAP Portal Network - WebDynpro iView and SAP Application iView sharing

    Hello All,
    I've read about the restrictions in SAP Portal supporting the WSRP standard for application sharing. Mainly WebDynpro iViews and SAP application iViews sharing is not supported. That is in the case of a SAP Portal as producer and Non-SAPPortal as consumer.
    I'm interested in a WebDynpro iViews and SAP application iViews sharing in a only-SAP Portals Network, where SAP Portals act as producer and consumer.
    I've heard about the Remote Role Assignment and Remote Content Copy that are used in such case. I would like to ask if anyone knows if these can help overcome the restriction in sharing WebDynpro iViews and SAP application iViews that is present with WSRP? And if the advantage of WSPR, that is the application execution and rendering on the producer side, and as follows decreasing of bandwidth usage, is remaining in the case of the Remote Role Assignment and Remote Content Copy.

  • Problem in SAP toolbar of Crytal report 2008!

    As some Articles from Blogs, after the installation of the SAP Integration Kit there is a new toolbar in Crystal Reports.
    But I installed SAP Solution Integration Kit for Business Object Edge Series Standard Package on Server andI installed Crystal Report on Client. How can I see SAP toolbar on Crystal Report 2008 to integrate and connect with SAP BW?. Could you show the solution to solve that?

    you need to have the SAP GUI with BW 3.5 and BI 7 Add On installed and you need the client componets from the SAP Integration Kit installed.

    Does anyone have any information regarding exactly when we can expect to see the free "SAP Community Developer Edition" come out? I'm eager to start working with it.

I already have the .NET connector and the ES Explorer working, but i obviously need valid login credentials to use these tools, and I'm hoping that obtaining the SAP CDE will provide that for me.

    I guess "the promissed non-expiry license" does not exist until now. Do you ever thought about using SAPLINK, to save your developing objects and reuse it on other systems?
    If you want to develop again with a working system, just reinstall minisap and import your SAPLINK exports.

  • SAP Community Developer Edition - with limited lisence

    Hi!
    I recently downloaded and installed MiniSAP, or the SAP Community Developer Edition which supposed to have a permanent
    license - but the SLICENSE shows me a 1 month limited lisence - which i know that can be extended for another 3 months, but it's a very short period (I want to use this home-SAP version to keep my own programs - instead of txt files that has no nevigation capabilities).
    Does any body knows how can I get the promissed forever-lisence?
