SAP compatible printers

Hello Gurus,
Which are the SAP compatible printers? I mean, if I have a sapscript or a smartform of something ... can I print on any printer? Or there is some peculiarity that must have?
Is it true that the same script/smartform could be printed differently using different printers?
So to test a print layout should I have the printer that is really used?
Thanks a lot
Guido

Which are the SAP compatible printers?
Most of the printers are compatible to SAP.
I mean, if I have a sapscript or a smartform of something ... can I print on any printer? Or there is some peculiarity that must have?

  • Compatible printers for Mac mini (Mac's)

Where can I find a list of compatible printers for Mac. My current Windows printer is a Canon LBP-1120 and cannot use it with my Mac mini. So its probably time to get another printer for my Macs.

I should add that there are a number of printers that are compatible and that don't necessarily appear to be so as a result of third-party drivers. This includes, if I'm not mistaken, some Canon models which can be plugged in and selected in Printer setup.
Others, such as at least some Epson, HP and Lexmark models, are supplied with Windows and MacOS drivers (you need to make sure they're for the right version of MacOS) or the box will be labelled such that it indicates PC/Mac compatibility.
You might take a quick look at the printers offered through the online Apple store (under Mac accessories) to get an idea of which makes to look at. This will only tell you about current models of course, but should at least prove a reliable starting point.

  • Where can I find a list of Airprint compatible printers?

I'm trying to help someone verify if their printer is AirPrint compatible and if it needs a driver download to make it compatible.  Can someone provide a link to a list of AirPrint compatible printers?
    Thanks for the help.

  • Snow Leopard compatible printers/scanners

Here's a great Apple support document that lists Snow Leopard compatible printers and scanners. Of course it's the drivers that need to be Snow Leopard compatible, not the printers themselves.

Not having any luck here with the UFRII drivers on the Canon Australia website here to install the IRC4058i printer in my office (btw the download url is http://www.service.canon.com.au/drivers/files/ir/osxufr2v200.zip). After uninstalling the old version and installing the new one, I can only install Canon ipv6 UFRII and not Canon ip UFRII, which is what I need. Hopefully an update will be released soon!

If the printer is Airprint-capable you don't need an App to print.
The reference HP AirPrint-Compatible Wireless Printers in an answer to your other thread is a link to information about HP Airprint printing.

    It's not an App.

  • User Verified Compatible Printers

I have just recently purchased a mac mini with the wireless keyboard and mouse package, and the airport extreme network router. One last purchase I would like to make is a printer compatible with the airport extreme usb connection. I have seen some outdated listings of compatible printers, some that work with OS 10.5.5 and lower, many that work sporadically, many that function only partially, but am struggling to find reliable information on a printer that has worked somewhat reliably with OS 10.5.6 and the airport extreme. Ideally I would like to purchase a reliable black and white laser printer. If there are any users that are using the current OS and have a printer likely to be currently available I would sure appreciated knowing the brand and model. Thanks.

I would like to pass on my recent success with a basic USB Laser printer that prints through the Airport Extreme USB connection through my wireless connection from both a Windows XP laptop and a Mac Mini. The printer is a HP LaserJet P1505, non-network model, that I picked up for $119.99. The print quality and speed are excellent. The Airport Extreme and the connected printer are in the basement and the seemless printing of all documents were sent to the printer from the computers two levels up.
The only issue I had in the setup was finding the printer setup utility on the Mac. There is no longer a printer setup utility in applications/utilities, you have to now setup a printer in system preferences/print and fax, using the + or - to add or delete an installed printer. For the windows printer setup I let Bonjour find and select the printer and driver and a Generic driver was selected and successful. For those windows XP user that don't have Service Pack 2, you would have to open a Port named UDP numbered 5353, as per the Bonjour for windows readme file. Bonjour will configure your Firewall automatically provided you have Service Pack 2 or above for XP.
Based on my research and success I know this basic Black and White Laser printer works nicely. If anybody requires any additional information I would be glad to attempt to recall the exact steps I used to get both machines printing. I will also provide updated information if I encounter any reliability issues in the future.

  • AEBS compatible printers

I am searching the apple site for the list of Airport extreme base station compatible printers, it tells me to go to the OS X site and search for it, but it just sends me in a circle.
Does anyone happen to know the web address of the page that lists all OS X and/or AEBS compatible printers?
    Thank you!

    Here you go ...
Take a look at one of these iFelix Unofficial AirPort Printer Compatibility links, depending on which AirPort base station you have:
o 802.11g AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) or AirPort Express Base Station (AX)
o 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn)

  • When will other printers be added to the list of compatible printers?

If anyone in Apple Product Management reads this, do you have a list of candidates for printers to add to the compatible list? Can you share it? I have a Wireless Brother Color Laser printer I want to print to, and was wondering if it'd ever be on the list?

As others have said, it is up to printer manufacturers to support the wireless printing standard Apple has chosen. However there are a couple utilities available (such has Printopea) that enable printing to a shared printer. Of course the downside is that your computer has to be on and awake but it does work and is available now.
