SAP Connection with HFM

Hi!
Is there anyone who has implemented an integrated connectivity with HFM and SAP 5 or 6?
Please shear your experience, we need to know the posiiblity and get the documentation.

Which we do not need to run a program in SAP or anyother to extract into a text file and upload through FDM. If the FDM can connects to SAP database directly and fetch data that would be ideal.

SAP Connection with a Website using HTTPS

SAP Gurus,
We are on SAP 4.7. Requesting you to revert whether it is possible to connect SAP 4.7 with HTTPS (Secured) thru some BAPI or BADI.
Details:
1. The Business Process expected to be set is for Vendor Transactions.
2. That is, the Vendor liability document is expected to be posted from the data that would flow thru Internet HTTPS.
3. The request would originate from a website (that is NOT SAP).
4. It would have the Vendor Party credentials.
5. The Line Item Data would come to SAP thru HTTPS and it is expected that SAP would accept the request and process it.
6. After successful process of the file, the system would generate Accounting Document.
7. This Accounting Document is expected to be sent back to the originator website, using the same HTTPS connection.
8. The entire leg is expected to be completed in 180 seconds.
Qs:
a. Is it possible to achieve this with using some BAPI or BADI?
b. Whether it is possible to connect to SAP with some RFC (RFC may not be the right technical word, please recommend what else) using the Secured connection, that is HTTPS?

I am facing the following problem.(I am using Https protocol)
1.A runtime exception is thrown at line no 5. This is the main problem i am facing and as i am not able to establish the connection with the server, i was able to proceeed further.
2. I need help for setting the content type(Remember i am using Https)
3. As u said at server side file has to be decompressed but that is not under my scope so it is not a problem for me.
4. once connection is established, I need to create a byte stream and write to destination and then i have to check the response sent by the server.
I am looking for an idea how to establish the connection with the server. any references let me know.

OBIEE connection with HFM

I am running OBIEE 11.1.1.5 on Linux and client installed on Windows.
I want to use Hyperion Financial Management data source in OBIEE will it run fine?
How can make connection in obiee?

The HFM client that is required by the OBI 11g integration is Windows Based and you cannot just run the Oracle BI Client tools with the HFM client on the Windows machine because it partially uses the Java Host which only gets installed with the full (simple, enterprise, or software only) installation of Oracle BI 11g.
You may want to have a look at the Oracle BI Financial Management Analytics application which was just released after Open World 2011. It is a full blown end-to-end solution integrating HFM and HCM and front ending the data through Oracle BI. They've done the heavy lifting there for you and it should provide a solid example for you to feed off of.

Anyone have idea about how to connect SQL server database directly with SAP. If it is possible then how? And how can i access SQL server database table in ABAP editor using SELECT statement?

SAP Translates ABAP code into the language utilized by the DB, in SQLServer's case TSQL.
Every time you do anything in SAP, it talks directly to the SQL database. Perhaps you can request an ABAP'er to give you some code to perform the query you want through ABAP. I do not know of any tool that lets you just run ad hoc TSQL queries from the SAP GUI.

How can I connect with SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Developer Edition

Hello together,
I downloaded and installed the SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Developer Edition on a virtual client.
I toke a long period to finish the installation.
Now some questions to use this system in the right way:
1.) How can I get a "developer license" which do not expire? Because the link http://www.sap.com/minisap seems to be not ok.
2.) How can I connect via network with the sap system? the application server is running on a vm client with a static ip i.e. 192.168.1.5. And my laptop gets a ip in the same range. I have installed the gui on my laptop and tried to connect with the system. But it does not work! I used as application server the ip of the virtual machine. I use the gui witch is installed on the same host like the application it works (with localhost as application server adress)
3.) Where can I download the newest version of the SAP Gui? I do not have a service marktplace account? Is it possible?
4.) I read in the documentation that it should be possible to reach the sap system also with web dynpro: http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
But it does not work. I got an error message: Service cannot be reached
Note
The termination occurred in system NSP with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
The selected virtual host was 0 .

I fixed in the meantime the second problem. It was a problem with my local firewall. But the other three points are still open.

Authentication error when creating EPM Add-in connection with SAP BO Enterprise connection type

Hello, Experts,
I have a problem with creation of EPM Add-in connection when SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise connection type is selected.
An error message is "Error while communicating with the server. Framework message: Authorization failed."
Here are the steps that were implemented and how this issue was reproduced:
SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.0 SP12 for Microsoft was installed and configured.
Integration between SAP BPC and SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 SP02 was implemented. SAP BO users can successfully connect to SAP BPC system.
EPM connector was successfully installed and deployed in SAP BusinessObjects BI server.
BPC ODBO 2.0 SP04 64BIT was installed in SAP BusinessObjects server.
EPM connection was successfully created in SAP BusinessObjects CMC.
EPM Add-in and BPC ODBO 2.0 SP04 32BIT was installed in another computer (let's call it CLIENT) which has MS Office 2007 32BIT installed.
From CLIENT computer we have launched Excel manually and successfully created BPC connection with Connection Type - Local.
Then we have logged into BI Launch Pad and launched New / EPM document (Excel). Excel has started.
In EPM Add-in we have pressed Logon.
In connection window selected SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise connection type.
An error "Error while communicating with the server. Framework message: Authorization failed." appears.
Before this error appears we are not getting any window where we could select EPM connection (created in CMC) nor the possibility to enter username or password.
Looking forward you valuable comments and suggestions.

Our user has Full Access to all BPC tasks and it is administrator in BI system.
Also we can successfully connect with the same user using Connection type "Local".
We had done some investigation and in the BPC SQL Server trace log we can catch the following message when an error occurs:

It is very interesting that after the EPM workbook is launched via BI Launch Pad till an error occurs we are NOT provided with possibility to enter any username and password. So the EPM add-in should use the same user which was logged into BI Launch Pad - in our case the user with administrative rights both in BI Launch Pad and BPC systems. Am I missing anything?

Getting No rights error in Crystal Reports connection with SAP ECC 6

I am ABAP/BI developer and would like to work in Crystal Reports 2011. Currently, We have SAP ECC 6 and BI 7 set up. I have installed trial version of Crystal Reports 2011.
I am getting error while trying to create blank report in Crystal Reports:
Create New Connection -> SAP Tables.. -> entered SAP Development server user id and password -> following error message :
LOGON failed
Details : You do not have necessary rights to design reports against the SAP system. Please check with your system administrator.
My user id has all rights in development server. So, is any special rights require? OR do we have to install any patch for Crystal Reports at SAP level?

To be able to report off an SAP data source in Crystal Reports, request the SAP Administrator to set the appropriate authorizations for the user.
For a list of authorizations that are necessary for each type of SAP connection, consult the document:
BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Installation Guide
In the "Authorizations" chapter, there is a description of each authorizations needed for each type of connection and actions.
( The document is attached to this SAP Knowledge Base Article in the attachment section )
In addition to the authorizations specified in the SAP Integration Kit Installation Guide, the following authorizations are required:
For Authorization object: S_RFC with Field name: RFC_Name. According to the installation guide the values should be: SYST, /CRYSTAL/OPENSQL
Additionally you will need the value: SUSR as well.
For Authorization object: ZSEGREPORT with field name: ACTVT. According to the installation guide the value is: 02 (Change)
Additionally you will need the value: 01 (Create or generate) as well.

I try to connect with a japanese username to a unicode SAP system. I use VC++ and make the call like this:

I tried it with different codepages and PCS settings (1/2) too but i always get the error:
"Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)"
When I connect to a non unicode japanese system in locale encoding it works.
Another thing i saw is that the utf8 string is truncated after 12 bytes (12 character/bytes is the limit of user name length). When I use a japanese username with 6 japanese symbols (18 bytes in utf8) I see the following in the RFC trace:

To connect with japanese usernames using the SAP-GUI works fine but the rfc traces show that the connection is established in another way.
Can anyone help me with this or is it just impossible to use japanese usernames for logon with RFC.

SAP ECC 6.0 IDES connectivity with internal BI server

Hell All,
We have a connectivity issue for SAP BI with ECC. we have a sap ECC6.0 EHP3 instance running in the customer landscape used for training requirement. In the ECC 6.0 we do also have SAP BI server in the same instance. Now customer want to use the same BI server which is in the same SAP ECC 6.0 IDES without installing an additional instance just for training purpose. As a part of the acitivty we do need to know whether we can configure the BI to R/3 data extraction for this instance. ECC have 800 client and BI also works in the same 800 client. Can we configure the SAP ECC to BI source system configuration and do the R/3 to BW data extraction scenarios. also want to know whether we can do the Process chains and other stuff for training requirements.

SAP PCM 7.0 Connectivity with SAP Business Objects

Hi All
We are trying to integrate SAP PCM 7.0 FP5 with Business Objects. The prime purpose is to fetch PCM data into Xcelsius dashboard and WebI reports via BO Universe.
We are sruggling to understand the plugins required to do this.Since other SAP documentation states that SAP BO Connectivity pack is required which is a part of SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management 7.5 Support Package 06
But , we understand that SAP BO PCM75 Support pkg06 cannot be installed on SAP PCM 7.0.
Also, Please kindly help me in understanding if SAP PCM 7.0 connectivity with BOXIR3 (without using BW NW layer) is possible or it needs to be upgraded to SAP PCM 7.5

I have a XML file with 3 fields with 100 records. I have in SAP a Z table with the same fields of the XML file.
I made the mapping in SAP BC Developer. I want to put the records of the XML in the Z table of SAP. How can I configure this to SAP BC connects with SAP and fill the table?
