SAP Connect: Using general sender email address
Good Morning,
I wonder whether this is possible. Our sapconnect is working properly, when sending the mail the address of the particular user is being used. If there is no email address assigned - the default domain setting in SCOT will create one.
Now, sombody wants me to configure sapconnect using a non existing email address e.g. confirmation(at)companydomain.com. This one should be the sender address in any outbound email communication (the sense of this is a totally different story).
Does anyone know how to accomplish this, or, can tell whether this is possible at all ?
Kind regards,
HeikoHi Mansawi.
Thanks four your reply. I think I have to clarify a bit.
The goal is to achive the following: the sender adress out of sap should be in any case a so called "noreply(at)companydomain.com" email, instead of the personalized email adress "person.a(at)companydomain.com" of the person that triggers the email.
I've checked with some fantasy sender adress in my user profile - the exchange server delivers without problems.
Meanwhile I doubt this is possible, since sapconnect sending usually uses the user's master data to get the sender adress..

How to create dynamic connection string with variables using ssis.
Hello,
Can anyone let me know on how to create dynamic connection string with variables using ssis?
Any help would be appreciated.Hi vinay9738,
According to your description, you want to connect multiple database from multiple servers using dynamic connection.
If in this case, we can create a Table in our local database (whatever DB we want) and load all the connection strings. We can use Execute SQL Task to query all the connection strings and store the result-set in a variable of object type in SSIS package.
Then use ForEach Loop container to shred the content of the object variable and iterate through each of the connection strings. And then Place an Execute SQL task inside ForEach Loop container with the SQL statements we have to run in all the DB instances.
For more details, please refer to the following blog:
http://sql-developers.blogspot.kr/2010/07/dynamic-database-connection-using-ssis.html
If there are any other questions, please feel free to let me know.

Running a Select query against multiple sql servers using SSIS script task.
Hi Guys,
I need to fetch data from multiple sql servers using SSIS scirpt task inside a foreach container.
is there anyway i can build dynamic sql connections using ssis variables inside SSIS script task in each loop
Please guide me or refer any blogs so that i will try..
Thanks in advance.Your only options is using .net code, then it will be no different than using a console app in a loop.
using (SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(connectionString))
connection.Open();
Console.WriteLine("ServerVersion: {0}", connection.ServerVersion);
Console.WriteLine("State: {0}", connection.State);
and so forth for each connection string
the connection string would come from the ForEach loop

Connectivity between SQL Serevr 2008 and SAP BW using Microsoft Connector 1.0
Hi ALL
I am trying to connect to SSIS 2008 to SAP BW using Microsoft Connector 1.0.
Following are stepes I performed.
1. Created RFC on SAP BW Server.
2. Created Prcess Chain in SAP BW.
3. Created SSIS Package using SAP BI Source. Here I set Execution Mode : P Trigger Process Chain.
The process chain is executing fine on SAP BW Server, But it is unable to send back a
notification to SSIS package. And here my SSIS package failed.
I am getting following error message :
[SAP BI Source] Information: Process Start Process, variant Start Variant for MSBI has status Completed (instance D8Z84GJ2RLV7WCI2IYK5CZ1R3)
[SAP BI Source] Error: An internal exception occurred.
Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.SapBw.Connectivity.ERPException:
An error occurred during the dispatch of the incoming function. The last return code was "RFC_FAILURE".
Before this error I am getting following messages are :
[SAP BI Source] Information: Process Data Transfer Process, variant Z09_O101 -> Z09_H101 has status Active (instance DTPR_D8Z84GJ2RLVZKYTTUHZRFEG0V)
[SAP BI Source] Information: The component is waiting for a notification.
Is there any way to test the both the way connections? I mean SAP BW -- SSIS & SSIS --- SAPBW.
Can any one please explain me entire connectivity architecture between SSIS and SAP BW using Microsoft Connector 1.0. (I mean how these RFC are working and how SSIS is pulling the data from SAP BW)I am having the same problem. We actually loaded data a few times but now it does not work. It is amazing that we cannot find help for this problem. Has anyone been successful using the BI connector 1.1 to load data to a BI system using SSIS. I think
this had to do with either a DLL problem on the machine running SSIS or the Service Pack level of the BI system. I cannot find any documentation showing versions. I have looked through the documentation that was written back in 2008 but can't seem to
get it to work.
Sorry we are trying to push data (BW Destination) to BI it looks like you are trying to get data from BI. -
Unable to create new connection using SAP Business One
Hi all,
I am unable to make a connection using the new SAP Business One connetion provided with the 8.8 release of SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package.
There are no Companies available to select from. When I try to manually type in the company name, the logon fails. If I then press "Cancel", I get a message that Crystal reports encountered a problem and needs to close. The details of the error refers to the following DLL: crdb_b1.dll.
The connection is successful from another PC that only has the Client installed (and uses the License server on our server, which also contains the databases.)
I have a local installation with my own license server. I am not even able to connect to the database on my local PC.
Please can anyone explain why this isn't working?
Regards,
RikardHi Rikard,
You may get better help if you post your question to the Business One forum. I can' t move your post.
Thank you

Can we connect and access SAP database using db adapter?
Hi,
I need couple of details:
1) Can we connect to SAP database using db adapter and run select query to extract data from the SAP database tables?
2) Where can I download SAP adapter? How to install it? and how to plug that in to the JDev?
Cheers1) Can we connect to SAP database using db adapter and run select query to extract data from the SAP database tables? It is possible as long as back-end DB version of SAP are supported by DB adapter. Oracle recommends SAP connectivity through Oracle Application Adapter for SAP rather than direct connection to SAP Database tables.

How can you add a new connection to SAP GUI using a domain logon script?
We have two new SAP connections and over 1100 computers to add it to. The computers are on a domain, and using logon scripts. Can someone help me create a script to add connections to the SAP Logon.
Hello,
please make the neccessary entries in your own SAPLOGON...
and then deploy the file SAPLOGON.ini from your client to all other client
via the logon script...
Or, and that is what we ( SAP ) recommend, you can use the SAP FRONTEND ÌNSTALLATION SERVER.

Cannot Connect to Oracle using SSIS
I am working with a client that has the following: a Windows Server Standard 2003 with SQL Server Standard 2005 installed. Oracle 10g is installed on a Linux Red Hat server. All are 64-bit and have the most current service packs installed. We are trying to pull Oracle data to SQL Server using SSIS and/or the SQL Server Import/Export wizard. the 10g client tools are installed on the Windows/SQL Server box. We can connect from there to Oracle using both SQL *Plus and Aqua Data Studio. However, when I try to import data to SQL Server using with the .Net or OLEDB provider, I get the error stating that I have to install the Oracle client tools.
Can anyone help with this? No one on the Microsoft side seems to have an answer.
Many thanks!
JeanneI am also facing the same problem. I have read a related article on
http://stevemchugh.blogspot.com/2007/02/adventures-of-ssis-and-oracle-in-64bit.html
Although the problem solved in this article is not of exact nature as posted in this post but it still provide some thoughtful inside of SQL server 2006 64 bit and Oracle 10 g SSIS connectivity.
If some succeeds in this please also help in figuring out my problem -
Connecting to Oracle Data Source using SSIS
Hi Guys,
Please I am working on a BI Project that requires me to connect to an oracle data source using SSIS.
Can someone assist me with the required steps to achieve that.
I dont want to use a third party tool.
Thanks
meHi lilutchay,
If the SQL Server Integration Services is Enterprise or Developer edition of SQL Server 2008, we can use
Microsoft Connector Version 1.2 for Oracle to connect Oracle databases with version Oracle 9.2.0.4 or higher, Oracle 10.x or Oracle 11.x. If the SQL Server Integration Services is Enterprise or Developer edition of SQL Server 2012, we can use
Microsoft Connector Version 2.0 for Oracle to connect Oracle databases with version Oracle 9.2.0.4 or higher, Oracle 10.x or Oracle 11.x.
While if we want to connect to other Oracle version databases, we can use
OLE DB provider for Oracle which has been tested in SSIS labs and is recommended by Microsoft.
For the detail steps for Microsoft Connector for Oracle, we can refer to the first blog suggested by Deric. For more details about the use of connecting to oracle using Oracle Provider for OLEDB from SSIS, please refer to the blog below:

How to let SAP user use SSO to access Application in DMZ?
Hi All,
Our J2EE application is running on a system in DMZ which can not be connected with LDAP. So I am wondering if it's possible to let SAP user use SSO to access our application.
After talking with my colleague I think the only way is to import SSO public key to our WebAS and create user in UME and then assign user to the corresponding public key, but anybody know where to download SSP verification file or is it allowed to download and import into another system at all?
Regards,
BinHi,
Take a look at this example, it uses property nodes to select tha
active plot and then changes the color of that plot.
If you want to make the number of plots dynamic you could use a for
loop and an array of color boxes.
I hope this helps.

Hi All,
Can anyone help me to connect to SAP from JCO using logon group....appericate if you can give some example such as sample code on how to connect using logon group. Its is urgent.
thanks!
prabHi Pardeep,
Thanks a lot!!!
It seems now the connection is working. I passed the parameters u have told and now I am not getting any connection error. When I print
System.out.println(myClient.getAttributes());
It returns me the following with correct IP address:
OWN_HOST: bpcbz6n
PARTNER_HOST: 172.30.xxx.xxx
SYSTNR: 02
SYSID: TS1
CLIENT: 203
USER: CPIC-DIS-BPC

OWN_CHARSET: ISO8859_1
OWN_ENCODING: ISO-8859-1
OWN_BYTES_PER_CHAR: 1
PARTNER_CODEPAGE: 1100
PARTNER_CHARSET: ISO8859_1
PARTNER_ENCODING: ISO-8859-1

PARTNER_REL: 620
PARTNER_TYPE: 3
KERNEL_REL: 640
TRACE:
RFC_ROLE: C
OWN_TYPE: E
CPIC_CONVID: 385948
So this means connection is working?
But when I call the RFC, it is returning me null value. When I call the following RFC, the functionTemplate instance is returning the "null" value. What can be the cause of it?This RFC exists in the SAP. I hope connection is working?
IFunctionTemplate functionTemplate = aRepository.getFunctionTemplate("Z_RFC_PLANTS");

How to implement SSO to non-SAP systems using SAP logon ticket?
Hello,
We would like to implement Single Sign On between our SAP Netweaver system and a Siebel which is a non-SAP system using SAP logon tickets.
Can anyone please give me some leads on this, in particular:
1. Is there a JAVA API or an SAP plug-in that can be implemented on the Siebel machine to extract the SAP logon ticket?
2. As the other machine might seat on a complete different domain, is it possible to implement SAP logon ticket without using cookies (perhaps through the HTTP header?
3. In case you think using SAP logon tickets is not the best solution here I would be happy to hear any other suggestions you might have.
RoyHi,
I'm currently using SAML as well. Unfortunately the SAP J2EE cannot work as authority (identity provider) but what you can do is using an open implementation of SAML such as opensso which is an open version of SUNs Java System access manager.
There are a couple of other projects such as opensaml, apache's wss4j or shibboleth that might be interesting in this context.
I just installed opensso and got it working with SAP J2EE 7.0 using SAPs JAAS SAMLLoginModule to authenticate users within SAP J2EE.
In this scenario opensso serves as identity provider just as you need! There are a couple of Policy agents available on SUNs Download site you can use with Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, WebSphere, Bea Web Logic etc. in order to authenticate! Otherwise you just directly authenticate against opensso. When installing opensso you can configure the type of user store you want to use! By default it uses LDAP but you can also use different types of user store using JDBC or other mechanisms. Since you have a Directory Service you could easily connect it to your existing directory.
There is also a way to map user ids directly in opensso by adding a uid mapping class. I created some documentation with lots of screenshots about using opensso with SAP J2EE. You can easily use opensso with any other system that supports SAML. In the case of SAP the usage is currently limited to SAML versions 1.0 and 1.1. Version 2.0 is not yet supported but should be in one of the following versions.
Here are some links you might want to check:
OpenSAML: https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/OpenSAML/Home
wss4j: http://ws.apache.org/wss4j/
shibboleth: http://shibboleth.internet2.edu/
opensso: https://opensso.dev.java.net/
On SDN you will find a documentation on how to connect SUN Java System Access Manager to SAP J2EE (see https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/906d9fc6-31b9-2910-1385-90edad7d7570). As I said opensso is based on the SUN Access Manager code and looks quite the same. So you can adapt this documentation in order to configure opensso or you can just ask me for the documentation.
Hope this is helpful...
Let me know if you need further assistance on this topic
