The report i built runs just fine when i run it in crystal reports program.
After i link the report to SAP, almost every time i try to run the report in SAP, the SAP program gives an error message saying that SAP encountered a problem and has to shut down.

Thanks, Udi

    Hello,
To get to SP 6 first you have to install SP 4 5 and 6 incrementals.
It is easier if you uninstall CR and then install the full build of SP4 and then apply SP5 and SP 6, 5 and 6 are incremental builds only.

  • Crystal Reports Developer XI shuts down when trying to run a report

I have been using Crystal Reports in my office since 2005 without any problems.
However, recently when previewing reports in the Developer edition of Crystal Reports XI I have experienced a problem. After logging onto the databases and selecting the parameters, instead of displaying the report the application closes. This only occurs on a few of my reports, I have not made any changes to these reports and up until now they have been working without error.
The only change to the operating environment has been a recent upgrade to Windows XP.
    Any suggestions for a fix?

    Naveen,
The reports where developed in the current version.
There isn't any other version installed on the machine.
I only have Crystal Reports Developer XI installed on 1 machine in the office.  The reports are loaded in the Business Objects Management Console and available for other office staff to run from the Business Objects Viewer.  The reports run OK from the viewer.
I have tried un-installing Crystal Reports Developer XI and re-installing it already - the problem still occurred.
There are a number of faulty reports, some query 1 database others only 1 database, some have SQL tables others do not, most of them have subreports, formula fields, parameter fields, and group name fields, 1 also has a running total field.
Most of the reports I have created are similar but have different selections.
Thanks for your help, hope we can find a solution.
    Ann.

  • Parameters screen blank when trying to run crystal report

    Hi All
One of our customers cannot run a crystal report..
    The parameter screen is blank..
    They on SAP version 2007A SP01 PL10.
Any reason what could of caused it.
    Thank you

    Hi Rahul
SAP and SQL are on one server.  There are then 4/5 terminal servers that connect to this server.
All the crystal reports work on both the SAP/SQL server and all the terminal servers except the 1 terminal server.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the runtime, and the add-on itself on this server, yet everytime i run any report from this
server my "Enter Paramter Values" screen is blank and i can do nothing.
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Fin Reports - Error when trying to run a report via Workspace - 11.1.1.3

I can run the report via the client. But when any user tries and runs it via workspace we get:

Have you done any reinstall activities or applied patches recently? I have seen this when I was patching a multi server environment where the reporting server had one patch level but the fr web had the old patch level. I would inspect the sizes and dates of your financial reporting jar files on the different servers to ensure they match.

  • Webutil Error when trying to run excel report from Oracle form

I am trying to run an excel report from a oracle from but it throws me following error:
Oracle.forms.webutil.fileTransfer.FileTransfer bean not found. WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.getmaxtransfer will not work
Can you tell what is this error due to and how to eradicate this.

    hi
    Did you generate .plx?
please check if you did not generate plx and if u did not create db packages please create the webutil user and create db packages.
    here is the webutil configurations.
How to get up and running with WebUtil 1.06 included with Oracle Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2 on a win32 platform
    Solution
Assuming a fresh "Complete" install of Oracle Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2,
here are steps to get a small test form running, using WebUtil 1.06.
Note: [OraHome] is used as an alias for your real oDS ORACLE_HOME.
Feel free to copy this note to a text editor, and do a global find/replace on
[OraHome] with your actual value (no trailing slash). Then it is easy to
copy/paste actual commands to be executed from the note copy.
    1) Download http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/jacob-project/jacob_18.zip
and extract to a temporary staging area. Do not attempt to use 1.7 or 1.9.
    2) Copy or move jacob.jar and jacob.dll
[JacobStage] is the folder where you extracted Jacob, and will end in ...\jacob_18
         cd [JacobStage]
         copy jacob.jar [OraHome]\forms\java\.
         copy jacob.dll [OraHome]\forms\webutil\.
The Jacob staging area is no longer needed, and may be deleted.
    3) Sign frmwebutil.jar and jacob.jar
      Open a DOS command prompt.
      Add [OraHome]\jdk\bin to the PATH:
         set PATH=[OraHome]\jdk\bin;%PATH%
Sign the files, and check the output for success:
         [OraHome]\forms\webutil\sign_webutil [OraHome]\forms\java\frmwebutil.jar
         [OraHome]\forms\webutil\sign_webutil [OraHome]\forms\java\jacob.jar
    4) If you already have a schema in your RDBMS which contains the WebUtil stored code,
you may skip this step. Otherwise,
Create a schema to hold the WebUtil stored code, and privileges needed to
connect and create a stored package. Schema name "WEBUTIL" is recommended
for no reason other than consistency over the user base.
Open [OraHome]\forms\create_webutil_db.sql in a text editor, and delete or comment
out the EXIT statement, to be able to see whether the objects were created witout
      errors.
Start SQL*Plus as SYSTEM, and issue:
CREATE USER webutil IDENTIFIED BY [password]
         DEFAULT TABLESPACE users
         TEMPORARY TABLESPACE temp;
         GRANT CONNECT, CREATE PROCEDURE, CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM TO webutil;
         CONNECT webutil/[password]@[connectstring]
         @[OraHome]\forms\create_webutil_db.sql
-- Inspect SQL*Plus output for errors, and then
         CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM webutil_db FOR webutil.webutil_db;
      Reconnect as SYSTEM, and issue:
         grant execute on webutil_db to public;
    5) Modify [OraHome]\forms\server\default.env, and append [OraHome]\jdk\jre\lib\rt.jar
      to the CLASSPATH entry.
    6) Start the OC4J instance
    7) Start Forms Builder and connect to a schema in the RDBMS used in step (4).
Open webutil.pll, do a "Compile ALL" (shift-Control-K), and generate to PLX (Control-T).
It is important to generate the PLX, to avoid the FRM-40039 discussed in
      Note 303682.1
If the PLX is not generated, the Webutil.pll library would have to be attached with
full path information to all forms wishing to use WebUtil. This is NOT recommended.
    8) Create a new FMB.
Open webutil.olb, and Subclass (not Copy) the Webutil object to the form.
There is no need to Subclass the WebutilConfig object.
Attach the Webutil.pll Library, and remove the path.
Add an ON-LOGON trigger with the code
             NULL;
to avoid having to connect to an RDBMS (optional).
Create a new button on a new canvas, with the code
             show_webutil_information (TRUE);
      in a WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger.
Compile the FMB to FMX, after doing a Compile-All (Shift-Control-K).
    9) Under Edit->Preferences->Runtime in Forms Builder, click on "Reset to Default" if
the "Application Server URL" is empty.
Then append "?config=webutil" at the end, so you end up with a URL of the form
          http://server:port/forms/frmservlet?config=webutil
    10) Run your form.hope this helps u.

  • Missing Classification Category When Trying To Run a Report Inside SCSM!

    Hi Folks,
Some of my incidents categories go beyond five levels which means they have sub-sub-sub-sub categories like below :-
For Example (for a lack of better examples :D ) :-
    Email Problems
         1.1 Mailbox is full
             1.1.1 Can't receive mails
                    1.1.1.1 Inbox can't receive mails
                              1.1.1.1.1 No more mails
I need to run reports for the fifth level (No more mails) but it does NOT appear as a parameter , the last level I can run the reports against is level four as it is the last subcategory shown ..
Can I add the fifth level ?? or is it a limitation inside SCSM ??
    Thanks ..

This is run against the Data Warehouse (DWDataMart).  The data warehouse doesn't store anything close to the level of information that the CMDB keeps.  However, it does store all the important information from work items and configuration items.
The data warehouse has been normalized so the data isn't all stored in the same table.  Adding new reports isn't that simple of a task but after you learn the lay-of-land inside the data warehouse, it becomes easier.
If you are unfamiliar with transact SQL or databases, see if your organization has an individual or team familiar with reporting and database structures, I would seek their assistance on reporting.  The learning curve can be pretty steep.
First thing, you'll need administrator rights on DWDataMart so that you can create new Stored Procedures.  You will also need to review how your reporting was configured in the regards of permissions.  Basically, if you have a separate service
account for reporting, that account will need Execute permissions on the new stored procedures, otherwise, users get error when they run reports.
Next, you'll need Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio installed.  This is where all the transact sql will be written and tested before it's finalized.
The final piece is Microsoft Report Builder.  This software allows you to select a stored procedure and then build reports, complete with special formatting, and publish them directly to the Service Manager reporting server.  Once on the server,
they become available in the SCSM Console after a restart.
    My steps are usually:
    1. Identify Required Information
    2. Identify how that information is stored in the data warehouse
    3. Create a stored procedure to extract required information
    4. Create a report in report builder, add necessary graphics elements and formatting to make report easier to look at
    5. Publish report to reporting server

  • Error when trying to run delivery report via OWA

When I click 'search' to run a Delivery Report via OWA I get the error "Sorry! We're having trouble processing your request at the moment. PLease try again in a few minutes".
It does this contstantly no matter how many times I try. And it's not as if the server is struggling with resources or anything, that's fine.
The following event shows up in the server event log too at the same time I try to run a report:
    Event ID 12014
Microsoft Exchange could not find a certificate that contains the domain name NMSMAIL01.nms2k.int in the personal store on the local computer. Therefore, it is unable to support the STARTTLS SMTP verb for the connector Applications and Printers with a FQDN
parameter of NMSMAIL01.nms2k.int. If the connector's FQDN is not specified, the computer's FQDN is used. Verify the connector configuration and the installed certificates to make sure that there is a certificate with a domain name for that FQDN. If this certificate
exists, run Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Services SMTP to make sure that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service has access to the certificate key.
I wonder if anyone has had this particular error when running delivery ports. I don't want to caryr out any changes until I'm sure it's the right thing i'm doing for the right reason.
    Thank you

    Hi,
If the issue persists, I recommend you follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
    1. Please stop all the Exchange services on CAS Server and then stop IIS by running the iisreset/stop command.
    2. Locate to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET, delete all the files and folders after taking a backup.
    3. Start all Exchange services on CAS Server and then start the IIS by running iisreset/start command.
    4. Locate to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files, once user logon via OWA and then go to Options, new folders like OWA, ECP, will get created automatically.
After the above settings, please check if users can run delivery report via OWA.
    Hope it helps.

I am working with Crystal 2011 v1.  Both the SAP GUI and Business Explorer tools are installed on this workstation.
There are some Crystal Reports on BW that the client wants to extract.  From Crystal Designer I click on the SAP menu item and select u201COpen Reportu201D.  The SAP Logon window pops up, and I enter the data for the BW system needed.  When I click OK, it will hang for a while, and then Crystal will crash.

    Hello,
I moved your post to the Integration Kit forum. Likely a configuration issue.
Search here on how to config the kit for CR 2011. Or you should have a Support Contract so log into SMP and discuss with a Rep.
