Thanks,

  • CRM 2007 Upgrade - IE 7.0 Tabs

    Hi Gurus
Our client has recently upgraded from CRM 5.0 to CRM 2007
We are using the IC Webclient
I have an issue when I confirm the customer:
When I have IE 7.0 open with only the IC Webclient active, on confirming the customer the Account Info area is correctly populated.
When I have IE 7.0 open already and then launch the IC Webclient, it appears in a new tab for the current IE 7.0 instance, on confirming the customer the Account Info area is left blank.
I have not been able to locate any threads or notes on this subject but would imagine this to be a common issue.
Any guidance gratefully received and rewarded.
    Many Thanks in advance

    Hi,
We were also facing similar problem with password. Actually what happens is if session is opened in other  tab of explorer, it reads the cookies of first tab. So problem like this come. I dont think any note/ thread can solve this problem beacuse it is issue of internet explorer and not of SAP CRM.

  • CRM 2007 upgrade roadmaps

    Hello there,
We are planning to upgrade from CRM 4.0 SP7 (on WAS 6.20) to CRM 2007 later in the year. Before this, it is desired to start using the CRM Web Shop (E-Commerce with CRM), which is not in use yet.
What's the popular opinion on here: upgrade CRM first and then tackle the Online Store - or is there any reason not to implement the Online Store first, ie before upgrading. In other words, how easy is it to migrate a CRM 4.0 Online Store to a CRM 2007 Online Store later on ?
Also, is there any material available regarding upgrade roadmaps? I don't mean release documentation, but a guide that picks you up on your current CRM/ERP release / Netweaver platform and then tells you which options you have for upgrading.
    Kind regards,
    Michael Koch

Thanks for your helpful answer, Andrew.
I think the web shop scenario we're after would be B2B - any infos on changes and implications for this?
Also, what do you mean by "direct technical upgrade"? I know that minimum requirement for CRM 2007 is NW 2004s (7.0), is that what you mean?
    Kind regards,

  • CRM 2007 Upgrade - Std Comm. Method not visible in "More Fields"

    Hi Gurus
We recently upgraded from CRM 5.0 to CRM 2007.
I'm verifying the Identify Account views, when I compare the "More Fields" view between CRM 5.0 and CRM 2007, the "Std Comm. Method field is not there.
I though I could add this via configuration mode but the only Comm Method field I can find does not have a drop down list associated with it which doesn't make sense.
Has anyone else had this same issue and how resolved.
    Many Thanks
    Panduranga

The Comm Type field is supplied but without a drop down list as it did in CRM 5.0
We have to modify the field to include the drop down.
    A loss in Standard Functionality!!!

  • From R/3 to CRM create one logical system for CRM client 300.

Suppose i create one logical system for CRM in R/3 TO CRM scenario for client 300.another user wants to work on jdbc to CRM client 300 for this he wants to create another logical system for client 300 it is not possible,so,it is ok if he assign same logical system when he was working for CRM client 300 when he wants to create business system for CRM in JDBC to CRM.

    Hi,
Business Systems are te logical system name for a CLient in the SAP.
These can be reused again for different configuration scnario that you must have created for different interface.
All you need to do is assing the Business system to your configuration scenario and Communication channel to the same.

  • For R/3 to CRM Scenario ,creating ABAP Proxy for CRM which is in Target

In R/3 to CRM scenario it is ok creating ABAP Proxy for CRM which is Target system.if it is possible it is Client Proxy.it is correct or not

    Hi,
Client Proxy. When you need to create Proxy for your Sender system then the proxy is generated on the client side and the Class created in Proxy generation is called in a report/FM etc.
Server proxy. The server proxy is created when you are sending the data from SAP XI to the receiving system.
The generation of proxy in both the cases happens on the sender or the receiver system.

  • MRS - CRM Integration:  Resource Planning Node for CRM demands

    Hi all,
We have a multi backend scenario where MRS 800 add-ons (ECC and NW add-on) have been installed in ECC. Demands can come from the ECC PM/CS orders or from the CRM system as Service orders.
For PM/CS orders, from the work center of the activity or operation, the system determines the planning node and assigns the demand to that planning node. But we need help in identifying the Evaluation Path for determining the Resource Planning Node for demands coming from CRM. Currently we have to manually select the CRM Service Order to be able to view the demands in the MRS planning board.
The service organization structure has been created manually in CRM and is not available in ECC system. We are unable to identify which organization structure can be used as resource planning structure (in the Planning board which is in ECC) for CRM service orders.
Please provide your inputs on these two issues in the MRS-CRM scenario:
    1. What is the evaluation path for determining the Resource Planning Node for demands coming from CRM system?
    2. Which organization structure can be used as resource planning structure (in the Planning board which is in ECC) for CRM service orders?
I would appreciate any help in this regard.
    Thank you!

  • CRM 2007 Upgrade - Component Type is Missing in Structure

    Hi,
we found that structure /1CRMG0/CNBCCPSAP005 has empty data type for each of its component types. this causes error each time we try to activate the structure and we can't proceed the upgrade to 2007.
we try to maintain the component type, but we encounter message "Object can only be created in package of namespace /1CRMG0/". even we try to maintain in the suggested package, it prompts error System setting does not allow you to change R3TR TTYP /1CRMG0/CCPSAP005001T. we can't proceed further at this point.
we implemented sap note 0000817539 & 0000643510, but still no success.
    any lead is really appreciated
    JD

    Dear JD,
hopefully you have already solved your problem. If not perhaps the following information is helpful:
These Function Modules are created when the Sbdoc is generated
    using the report CND_MAST_GEN_TRANSFER_OBJECTS.
Please check if the Sbdoc is generated correctly in your system or not.
You can check this in transaction SBDM.
    The Sbdoc name is CNBCRMPRSAP005.
If the Sbdoc is not created correctly please use the report above to
    generate and activate it.
In any case if the problem is solved, please close the thread!

  • CRM 2007 Java Upgrade to CRM 7.0 EHP2

    Hi All,
I performed dual stack split in CRM 2007 with separate DB for ABAP and JAVA. For upgrading CRM 2007 I tried generating solman XML file. For CRM 2007 Java, the target is chosen as CRM 7.0 EhP2, but the Net weaver components are showing the current version 700 SP21. I tried couple of times still NW 7.00 SP21 (current version) only appearing for target in solman. In Abap side, I got NW 7.03 as target for CRM 7.0EHP2 upgrade. Please advise what could be wrong.
    Thanks,

First, you have to use EHPi installer to do this upgrade. Second, for EHP2 upgrade, MOPZ is must because you need stack file that you can get from  MOPZ only.  Also, patches for EHP2, you can get from MOPZ only.

  • Partial display of large Alert message - SAP CRM 2007.

    Hi,
I am using SAP CRM 2007.
I created a simple alert with 150 char message in IC which will be triggered on confirmation of an account.
The alert gets displayed on the IC agent screen but he can only see partial message of the alert.
Only the message that can come in the first line gets displayed. There is no option to scroll to see the remaining message.
Please suggest how can user see the complete alert message. Can the alert text area be controlled by some customization?

  • Upgrade from CRM 5.0 to CRM 2007

    Hi,
We are planning to update from CRM 5.0 to CRM 2007. We are using CRM for Leads, Opportunities and Account & Contact Management with PCUI as front end. We do have some customized iViews for Sales People and Customers. Can any one, please provide me the step-by-step process to do technical and functional upgrade or point me towards the documentation on the same
You will rewarded with the points. Thanks in advance. Please, Its URGENT...
    Cheers,
    Amit

    Amit,
Based on your reply your work looks like the following:
    1.  Basis teams performs tech upgrade of your dev system
    2.  Security team grants temporary expanded access in dev system to access new UI and new UI tools
    3.  Dev/Config team takes standard delivered new UI screens and adjusts screen layouts
    4.  Dev/Config team adjusts any BADI's built in the previous release
The data model of CRM has not changed.  If you stuck with the EEWB and used all the standard methods of enhancing the data model, you don't need to worry about data migration.  However if you did not play by the SAP standards you could have more work.
As far as tracking your project you can use solution manager or build simple project tracking in MS project.
If you did no coding period, and only configuration.  You should be able to complete all the configuration work in less than two weeks to get the screens as needed.  However that is based on having at least one to two weeks of learning the new UI tool.
I would guess a config-only CRM implementation would only need two-three to finish all reconcilation work not including testing and training.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • FAQ: User Interface Guidelines for CRM 2007 are now available

The CRM UI Concept Team has made the UI Guidelines for CRM Web Client User Interface (CRM 2007 UI) available to the BPX community:
This document provides an overview of the on-premise as well as the off-premise versions of the SAP CRM Web Client User Interface (UI). It contains the properties and principles of the SAP CRM Web Client UI that are already committed and available. For planned features, refer to the corresponding specification documents.
The information in the guidelines starts with general topics, followed by details. The sections are organized with high-level topics like Page Types and Navigation Schema first, followed by the consecutive sections describing which building blocks and elements of the UI populate the various pages. A section typically starts with one or more screenshots of a central UI element with a generic explanation. The subsequent sections explain the detailed aspects of each element.
We hope that you will find this information useful.
