SAP-CRM Siebel integration

Hi all,
We are trying to integrate CRM SIEBEL with SAP basically to be used in loans management, can anyone please suggest me the most appropriate way we can do this example : can we use BAPIs and would they be be sufficient to transfer the data from SIEBEL to SAP.
Or do we have to include a SAP Netweaver consultant for this integration ? Please advice...
Hoping for a reply
thanks & regards

Vinila,
The forum that you have posted your question in is for questions related to the SAP Business One Integration for SAP NetWeaver.  Your question is related to the integration of SAP R/3 CRM with Siebel.  You would want to post your question in the R/3 Discussion Forum.

  • SAP CRM Groupware Integration - Create appointments on mobile phone.

    Hi all
We have implemented the serverside groupware integration with CRM 2007 and Exchange.
Usually the appointments in Outlook are created with category
"CRM_ACT_001". Unfortunately some Mobile Phones (like the iPhone) are not
able to set the category of an appointment.
Our users usually create their Outlook appointments on their mobile.
So we had to customize the GWAdapter to let through all activities from
groupware (without filtering for the category).
To do so we changed the spro entry "Maintain Groupware Object Selectionand Retrieval":
    - From: ACT Categories CRM_ACT*
    - To: ACT Categories *
Unfortunately this causes a lot of problems:
    - The category of the activity in CRM got deleted everytime you change the appointment in outlook.
    - When you set a meeting in Outlook to "private" the activities in
CRM AND Outlook are deleted automatically.
Does anyone had similar problems? How can you synchronize the calender on the mobile phone with CRM?
    Thanks in advance.
    Marco

    Checked the issue with SAP.
You cannot synchronize the appointments without giving an category. On iphone and most other smartphones you cannot chose a category.
Another "contra" of the CRM Groupware Integration....

  • Issues in retrieving the Planning profiles in CRM from BW while doing CRM-BI Integration

    Dear Folks,
We are in the process of doing the SAP CRM & BI Integration wrt Trade Promotion Mangement.
For testing purposes, we tried to create a planning profile in BPS end i.e BW SEM system & trying to retrieve it from the CRM system using the below navigation.
SPRO-->CRM--> Define Transaction types--> ZBPD is the transaction type we had created.
And in Customizing Header level, in SEM Planning tab, trying to retrieve the Planning profile created in SAP SEM-BW.
Tried to search in both ways i.e prefixing the 'zprofile' with /prf/zprofile but still CRM system is not reading the same from BW system.
What ever the pre-requisites that are needed to be followed before doing all these, the same had been done in terms of creating the RFC Connections etc but still unable to retrieve the same.
And also not finding any standard content in the form of Planning areas & profiles at BW end after installing the SEM BW component add on in BW system.
Could you pls let us know what we are missing here.
    Thanks in advance.

I meet the same problem, any solution?

  • Integrating SAP with SIEBEL

    HI Friends,
I need some documents or any links on how SIEBEL system can be integrated with SAP system.
    Thanks,
    Lavanya.

    Hi
First of all, integrating Siebel with SAP is certainly something
that can be done. You mention that your client is moving to 4.6
which is very good for any integration endeavor since 4.6C has almost
2000 BAPIs compared to 400 in 4.0. The hardest part of the project
will be to exactly define the interfaces required and find out
which BAPIs and/or IDoc Message Types to use for the communication.
Make sure that the BAPIs/IDoc Message types you have identified
cover the specific functional requirements your client has.
If not, you may need some custom ABAP development.
If you are looking for tools to help with the project, take at look at
www.scribesoft.com. They have a lot of experience in the CRM world
and specific connectors for SAP and Siebel.

  • SAP-CRM Against Siebel

    Hi all,
Is it advisable to move into SAP-CRM with strong presence of preoducts likeSIEBEL?
Edited by: Sanjiv N on Oct 3, 2008 9:19 AM

    Hi Sanjiv,
The choice of a suitable vendor for implementing a CRM package in your company would primarily depend on the extent of functionality that you would want to deploy. Additionally the cost of implementation would also play a vital role.
Siebel CRM has a modular implementation approach. Depending upon your business needs you can implement any of the three functionalities of sales, service and marketing.
mySAP CRM has all the three functionalities embedded in one, you can customize the feature as per your requirement.
Siebel CRM is well acknowledged for its user friendly GUI.
In response to the GUI parameter, mySAP CRM has come up with portal view. The portal provides the user with the easy to use and navigate screens.
mySAP CRM has an upper hand when it comes to coupling of transactional data with operational CRM. If you have a SAP R/3 in place and you want a big name for your CRM system then, mySAP CRM is the best choice.
Being a product of the same family, mySAP CRM gels well with all the other modules of SAP R/3.
Most of the Enterprise in the world run SAP. To maintain the Customer interaction between the Enterprise and Customer, SAP has a new product in market.
SAP CRM offers easier integration when we have SAP already running in the place.
So i would recommend you go for SAP CRM 2007, which got very good feedback by the customers.
    Hope this answer your question!!!
    Thanks and Regards,

  • MS Word integration with SAP CRM: can a PDF be created from the MS Word doc

    21/11
    Gurus,
I know have a better understanding of the topic but still have 2 open questions.
I now know that StreamServe cannot read .DOC files but can read and work with .PDF files.
Since we are in a SAP forum and not a StreamServe forum,
1/ I am wondering if SAP CRM 2007 can convert the MS Word generated and populated documents into .PDF. Possibly immediatly.
2/ Can the MS Word generated and populated documents be saved by SAP CRM 2007 as .XML files?
    Thanks again.
    Dear All,
On my project, there is a requirement to generate ad-hoc and amendable letters in CRM (2007).
We might have +150 letters so I am thinking about using MS Word integration with SAP CRM to deliver this.
With SAP CRM 2007, I understand that it is indeed possible to generate WebServices that will then be consumed by Word templates through the mail merge functionality. So agents will not have to enter BP name, address and so on. All this can be done by configuration which is great.
My point of concern is how to integrate this design to StreamServe for printing purpose (we do not want to go into local printing)
Can StreamServe collects the Word generated document?
Should this Word document be converted as PDF before or can StreamServe do it?
Should StreamServe exploits the XML contents within the Word generated document?
Thanks for your help and insights about this.
    Brice.

    Hi Chris,
Your advice helps me a lot, thank you.
I upload an XML-Format template Word Doc to server as a MIME Object.
When OfficeControl is started in Web Dynpro, OfficeControl automatically open the XML-Format template.
For the first time, I get the XString-type Context attribute bind to the content of the Word Doc,
then translate it to string, I got the XML-format content, it's great!
However, after the first time, when I input any new contents in MS Word in Web Dynpro,
no matter I execute "Ctrl + S" or click the "savedocument" button,
when I translate the XString Context attribute to String, I got messy code. (but the first time, it is good plain text)
I use the function module: ECATT_CONV_XSTRING_TO_STRING (good for first time, dump after first time),
SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY, SCMS_BINARY_TO_STRING (good for first time, messy code after first time).
My Demo source code is in: (system) SMV --> (local object) zhaode --> (Dynpro Component) ztest_office_control
       core source code is as:
       clear itab.
      CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
        EXPORTING
          BUFFER = lv_datas
        IMPORTING
          OUTPUT_LENGTH = lv_length
        TABLES
          binary_tab = itab.
      CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_BINARY_TO_STRING'
        EXPORTING
          input_length = lv_length
          mimetype = 'text/plain; charset=utf-8'
        IMPORTING
          text_buffer = lv_datas_string
          output_length = lv_data_len
        TABLES
          binary_tab = itab.
Can you give me some advice?
    Best Regards,
    Derek

  • MS Commerce Server integration with SAP CRM (incl. Middleware question)

    Hi,
We're investigating on how to possibly connect a MS eCom solution (MS Commerce Server) to a SAP CRM backend.
With the correct middleware and some Bapi's this would probably be do-able solution I guess, but does anyone have info on standard setups for this?
    - Standard Bapi's to use?
    - Middleware to be used (will XI do it all or do we need a 3th party middleware solution)?
    - Are any of the standard MS eCom screens aligned with what's in the SAP Badi's?
    - What about pricing information - is the info returning from the IPC valid for MS eCom display?
Anyway - if anybody has any ideas or experience around this - feel free to reply.
    Thanx!

    HI Arno,
I asked our CRM guys but because we are doing workforce management and that required server based integration..
Do you have any idea for that ?

  • Crystal Reports access to SAP/CRM 6.0 with Integration with SAP Solutions

    Hello,
we are running Crystal Reports 2008 with SAP CRM 6.0.
To boost productivity or Report writeing we need especially access to:
    - Function Modules
    - the CRM Business Objects Repository (Transaction SW01).
What kind of SAP/CRM  ( or SAP / ERP )  Objects can be accessed with the Integration for

The BO Documentation  [BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions User's Guide|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31SP2/en/xi31_sp2_bip_sap_user_en.pdf]  does not give a clue if this is possible.
However,  Ingo Hilgefort stated in his book that it is at least possible to access  ABAP Functions, SAP Querries and SAP InfoSets.

  • Best Approach for integrating SAP CRM with Outage Management System

    Hi All,
We are moving towards deploying Outage Management System (Oracle Utilities NMS) to help localize the fault, achieve Outage Management and a transparent network with a near-real time stats. We already have SAP ECC 6.0, ISU, SAP PI 7.0 and SAP CRM 7.0. One of the challenges we are facing is to decide how should we go about the integration of SAP CRM with Oracle's Outage Management System.
Here is a sample business scenario,
CSR receives a call from a consumer and inquires about planned outages for a particular area.
This information is contained in the Outage Management System (OMS). OMS is SOA based and is hosted on Oracle Service Bus.
I want to know that is there any ES Bundles available for CRM-OMS integration? Should we go about Service Based Integration? What are the alternatives to Service based integration? Can it be done using BAPIs?
We receive around 1000 consumer complains and against every complain a ticket is generated in CRM. Now If CRM is integrated with OMS using SAP PI, the volume of the data being exchanged via PI is very much high and exceeds our licensed volume for SAP PI. So I do need to know the best practices for either approach that you may recommend.
    Regards,
    Adil Khalil

does anyone have an idea about this one, I've asked this question in a few places and no one really seems clear about it.
Also, I've read here and there that SAP Business One is not a real SAP product. It was bought by SAP and is sold by them but has little do to with SAP's technology (R/3, SAP ERP, Netweaver, SAP CRM, ...), and that therefore they don't support it that much ? Is any of this right ?
I'm just trying to get my vision of the SAP universe clear.

  • Melita Predictive Dialer Integration with SAP CRM WebIC

    Hello All,
Does any one have any information about "Melita Predictive Dialer" integration with SAP CRM Web IC.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks
    Amar Reddy

    Hello Amar,
I am only aware of a few customers who have integrated predictive dialing into the Interaction Center, and those customers all used Genesys or Avaya. I'm not aware of anyone who has done this with Melita yet.
By the way, I wrote a high-level Blog on the topic of automated dialing available on PBX:

  • Integration between SAP business one to SAP CRM, CRM to ECC 6.0

Scope: We have been told to prepare Integration process which is a part of out project plan. Here we have 2 business cases where our SAP XI comes into picture.
    1.     SAP business One talks to SAP CRM through XI to exchange DMS business data.
    2.     SAP CRM talks to SAP ECC 6.0 through XI to exchange master data.
Suggestions:  What kind of adapters (includes proxies) do we prefer to get the data transferred in both cases with high performance level.
Appreciate your response with proper reward points.
    Thanks,
    Kumar.

    Hello,
you can use Proxies for performance benefit for transsferring data between CRM to XI and ECC to XI system.
Also you can use ALE -IDOC communication between your ECC system and XI for master data communication

  • SAP Cloud for Customer & SAP ECC/CRM OnPremise integration using WebServices!

    Hello All,
I would like to ask if anyone has really created a working integration scenario between a Cloud Solution & an ECC/CRM OnPremise solution?
We are trying to build some prototypes for this, however, due to connectivity errors/issues, unable to proceed.
    I'm looking for information on:
    > What certificates precisely are needed on both Cloud & OnPrem systems?
    > What configuration if any is required on Cloud & OnPrem solution, except for communication system/arrangements on Cloud solution?
    > Any use case if available from anyone which can demo integration between Cloud solution & ECC/CRM OnPremise solution.
I'd really appreciate responses on this.
    Many Thanks

    Thanks Sathya for the response.

    ntegration-of-sap-cloud-for-customer-with-sap-erp-and-sa
    p-crm-now-available  : Not working! => Please check & confirm.
Just to give you our background...we are SAP Cloud Partners & VARs, hence we are building few prototypes for Customer Demos & POC.
Per my understanding, its just one of the OnPrem system, either an ECC OnPrem or CRM OnPrem that you can integrate with one C4C tenant at a time, i.e. to one single tenant. In our case, we are trying to integrate ECC OnPrem with C4C system.
We are in the process of deploying SAP PI as the middleware platform for integration between C4C & ECC/CRM OnPrem., which is going to take few more weeks.
SAP HCI will be the other approach, but we are currently not familiar with that, hence we have a trial to start in coming week for SAP HCI, so this is going to take some time as well.
Hence, WebService is the only currently available option for us to build these prototypes, POC for Customer Demos, to show working integration scenarios between ECC OnPrem & C4C system.
We have been facing some technical issues after setting up necessary communication systems/arrangements on C4C system & trying to do a WS call from SDK also we get error when we do a ping test from within C4C system to check connection.
Has SAP developed any WS integration between C4C & either of the ECC or CRM OnPrem system? Or is it just PI & HCI which SAP has for integration?
I'd truly appreciate if you can guide us on creating few integration scenarios (Working ones of course ) using Webservice between C4C & ECC OnPrem system.
    Many Thanks
