    Hi,
    This type of functinality can be Map through using Inventorised  excise  duty.
    In this tax procedure is if TAXINN.
    then you have to make tax code using FTXP.
    In which you will maintain  Condition records for those  condition types which are of inventory type rather than set off.
    Like for BED - JMIP.
                ECS-JEIP
    and then two other conditions  JMX2 and JEP2.

    There is a major change of inclusion of CRM ITSM in solman 7.1 that is why you might be confused.
    Anyway let me explain
    enter the tcode solman_workcenter in solman choose the incident management tab
    now  on the left side you can see an action for Create support message
    thus clicking on it will open the browser for posting messages
    (the same can be shared with end user for message posting )
    further once posted it is accessible in this incident management tab for further processing and you get the status wise queries in overview.

  • Relevance Engine in SAP CRM 7.0

    Does SAP support or have Relevance Engine concept in SAP CRM 7.0 or any plans for SAP to build this process.
    Some brief on relevance engine (taken from Lead PAC )
    How does the Relevance Engine Work?
    In a nutshell, at the core of the LeadPACu2122platform is online audience data. We u201Cgroupu201D people based on business demographic data such as industry, company size, job function, seniority, subscription information, business registrations and more. Each group is then associated with thousands of B2B ad categories and topics based on aggregated, non-personally identifiable behavioral information.
    When you launch your campaign, the LeadPACu2122 Relevance Engine automatically identifies those groups that are most likely to find your ad relevant, based on responses to previous, similar campaigns.
    The Relevance Engine includes a vast library of topics, grouped into categories. This topic-level grouping allows the Relevance Engine to tap into behavior across similar topics. The library is constantly expanding as more and more topics are added and associated with one another. This real-time, adaptive prioritization ensures that, at all times, your ads are reaching the most relevant people.
    Relevance Scoring
    For each campaign, the Relevance Engine identifies which groups are included in the list. For each group, it calculates a score based on that groupu2019s aggregated responses to the same or similar topics. Past behavioral responses are weighted according to a series of rules.
    For example:
    u2022 Different responses, such as opens, clicks and unsubscribes, are weighted differently
    u2022 A recent click for the same topic has a heavier weight than a click that happened six months ago.
    u2022 A click for the same topic has a heavier weight than a click for a related topic.
    As each group is scored, they are ranked in decreasing order of relevance. Groups that fall below a certain scoring
    threshold are omitted from the campaign. The groups that will find the ads most relevant are selected to receive
    the campaign, and scores and rankings are recalculated real-time as those people respond to the ad.

    whilst generally I agree with you a question (or two) for clarification so we can be sure we're not comparing apples with oranges
    I'm not familiar with O2's product lineup but given you're on Annex M is that a business package?
    Are you on an Infinity residential or business package?
    On the subject of the offshore support teams my experience from the other sife of the fence is that many, many of them are very technically orientated. The problem is that the ISPs they work for don't give them access to many of the tools that are needed (they need to raise internal requests to even get line checks done in some cases) and also they are very heavily scripted & monitored in what they do/say on a call.
    Sounds like O2 are operating as a contact centre rather than as a call centre which is much more preferable from the customers point of view.
    DISCLAIMER: although I work in the industry I do not work for BT and any opinions given are purely my own.

    1. Which CRM application you were working on when you were in Stan Chart? Is it SAP CRM? Every CRM application is different and has it's specific user interface.
    2. The customer service role which you working in currently is totally different than what you actually implement or support in SAP CRM.
    3. The background of sales and marketing or working knowledge of retails, manufacturing, healthcare industry etc would have been an added advantage.
    4. SAP CRM as a software involves mapping of business processes in SAP. Even if you do not have SAP background but if you could have the working experience in above mentioned indutry it will be helpful.
    5. Also, usually IT firms (in INDIA), would prefer to take candidates (even if they do not have SAP background) with engineering+MBA background.
    6. But you want to make a career in SAP CRM, you would have to undergone training + certification from SAP Authorised Education partner. You can find more information on the same on SAP web site. You may find the SAP authorised education partner in Chennai also.

    Hi All,
    I need to upload data from EXCEL to SAP-CRM system.The problem is in crm there is no ALSM_EXCEL_INTO_INTERNAL_TABLE or corresponding function modules exist.Using GUI_UPLOAD I can upload data from excel to CRM but the main problem with this is it supports only 255 chars for entire line, in my excel file it contains more than 255 chars.Please help me out.

  • Question regarding Authorizations in SAP CRM 7.0

    The problem is this:
    We have a client who will use two ways of accessing SAP CRM 7.0 data -
    1. CRM Web UI
    2. Mobile devices via standard SAP CRM BAPIs
    Now the situation is that the client wishes to control display authorizations based on the Business Role. Certain Business Roles can allow its User to see Accounts where the User is also Employee Responsible and certain other Business Roles can allow its User to see all those Accounts that are associated with that Role. In summary Business Roles control what an User can see.
    This has already been implemented for the CRM Web UI using the Access Control Engine (ACE).
    Now the questions are:
    1. How do we implement this for BAPI Access?
    2. Should we recreate what has been achieved by ACE, via PFCG Authorization Profiles?
    3. Can we not reuse what has been done by ACE?
    4. What are the runtime APIs that allow somebody to use the authorization checks of ACE?
    5. Does the standard Function Module CRM_ORDER_CHECK_AUTHORITY_ACE help in this regard?
    Any help here will be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need any clarifications.

    Normally, some notes are recommended in addition to the current support package implementation because they were developed to solve any known issues. These known issues occurred as side effect of any note which belongs to the implemented support package.
    If you take a look at older release notes, you will see the same.
    This is a part of implementation stack.

    We are in the design phase of an SAP CRM 7.0 EhP3 implementation project. In the current landscape the legacy system for customer service  (CS) management uses an external shared fileserver for storing attachments from the CS system. However we plan to decommission this external content server as it does not support good security features.
    Storing attachments in SAP CRM via content management - can SAP CRM content management support large files? What is the maximum capacity per attachment and also the overall maximum capacity that SAP CRM content management can support.
    We have "heard" that SAP does not recommend storing attachments within CRM, but rather in an external secure storage server. Is this true? Is yes, what would be the best approach to store and read attachments from SAP CRM?

    Facebook and Twitter are officially integrated into SAP CRM 7.0 EHP 3. Not LinkedIn though.
    You can use a custom solution in EHP2. Example is provided in SAPPress book SAP CRM: Techical Principles and Programming.

  • SAP CRM 7.0 - Interactive reporting tool enhancing reports with new fields

    Hi Everyone,
    I am a BW Professional, currently working on evaluating the true benefits of implementing Interactive Reporting tool for our company. As I understand the Interactive reporting tool restricts us to report on individual reporting areas like Activities, Leads, Opportunties etc.
    But according to our business it is very important for us to be able to report on cross reporting areas real time i.e. activities & leads together or activties, leads & opportunties together etc.
    I learned about the enhancement work bench in interactive reporting tool where we can add SAP fields to individual reporting areas, so I thought of adding leads & opportunties to activities. This is where the fun part starts.
    Here I learned that all activty ID, Lead ID and Oppo ID are all fed from one single field from SAP CRM i.e. OBJECT_ID, which means the system is dividing this data into individual reporting areas based on type of data i.e. leads or oppor's etc. and may be based on some key like account etc. So here is a technical question, for me to add a new field to a reporting area I have to give a field name but we already have OBJECT_ID from where I am pulling activties data, so if I want to include leads also in activties then I will have to add some logic manually to get that and can't use enhancement workbench because it is for missing fields from SAP CRM whereas in my case I already have OBJECT_ID from where I am getting Activity data.
    Sorry if I am driving you guys crazy but I am just trying to think loud to make myself clear with concepts.
    Also I have seen that a reporting area in Interactive reporting tool is based on a BW query, but I am not sure why not all the fields in BW query are available for reporting in Interactive reporting tool?
    Any help or commets will be greatly appreciated.

    checking with the config wizard is always a good idea since it's the only supported way to configure this scenario
    The secret is that you apparently did not activate the report areas. It is a bit missleading that the queries are checked before the report areas are checked, therefore you see the errors concerning the queries first. Below those errors you should find some lines like
        Report areas: delivered 15, active <?>
        CRM interactive reports: delivered 20, active <?>
        Activation of report areas checked
    The last line offers some documentation and the actual link to activate the report areas.
