SAP CRM Vs other CRMs

Hi can any one tell me the exact difference between SAP CRM and other CRMs like siebel CRM,peoplesoft crm etc, How SAP CRM is suitable for organizations?

HI
Basically all CRM's follows Same theory and concepts from lead stage to service contract the concepts won't change for CRM to Another CRM , only screens and configuration and Implemetation Guide changes, where as if you take siebel CRM
it's more into Technical side , very less scope for the Epople with Functional knowldge, delas with servers, data migration you need to know Vb scrpting Oracle also for Siebel, also you must have some technical knowledge , you also can be Siebel Functional called as Siebel Business Analysts , but very few like out of 100
4 may bethere hardly as business analysts, in sap crm scenario as this involves
long implementation process they need technical consultants , functional consultants separately, in siebel u must be technofunctional , but in Sap need not be,even oracle crm also u must be technonfunctional with oracle sql, pl sql and functional knowledge,People soft also techno functional with oracle , any scrpting language, but only sap crm allows you to prove your functional skills this iam saying by exp i worked on both crm/s siebel and sap siebel for 2 years sap into 3 years and now continuing, other crm's i have theoritical knowledge,Microsoft is liitle but user friendly but also needs technical skills,Product is CRM it may belongs to any company it may be a SAp, Siebel , Oracle, i think it's helpful
don't forget to give points

  • Using SAP PI instead of CRM Middleware

    Hi experts,
Is it recommend to use SAP PI instead of SAP CRM Middleware.
If yes how can I do that.
I have read in forum requests that it can be implemented by using iDOC instead of BDocs.
I need a technical guideline how data (eg. Business Partner Data) can be tranferred from CRM to other ERP System.
    Thank you for help.
    Greetings

    Hi!
SAP PI itself is a middleware Product but very roboust and capable enough to integrate any system to any other system, either it is SAP or Non-SAP. And there are two ways to integrate other ERP System to SAP CRM using SAP PI.
    1. SAP PI will receive the message from back end ERP system & convert it to the XML format. SAP CRM receives the message using the Middleware XIF adaptor and convert the incoming XML Messages in the BDocs and the BDocs upload the data in the SAP-CRM Data base.
    2. SAP PI will receive the message from back end ERP system & convert it to the XML format. SAP CRM receives the message and using the Functional Module convert the data into the  BDocs and the BDocs upload the data in the SAPCRM Data base. In thsi situation, you need an expert ABAP Consultant to write the accurate functional Module.
The data inside the SAP_CRM System always transported in the BDocs not in Idocs. It is the BDocs data containers which transport the data from CRM Middleware to CRM Database and CRM Database upto CRM Middleware.

  • Difference between SAP Business Workflow and CRM Workflow

    Hello guys,
Is there any difference between SAP Business Workflow and CRM Workflow?
Are there others workflows types in SAP?
In all SAP Workflow Courses (BIT600, BIT601, BIT603, BIT610) only was talked about SAP Business Workflow, and nothing about CRM Workflow.
    Thanks a lot!
    Kleber

    Hello Kleber,
There is not much of the differance between CRM workflows and SAP Business  workflows..
Workflows are esentially part of Basis (BC) components and hence its the same across all SAP products as all these products have components of Basis(BC) in them...
To Conclude, SAP Busines workflows and CRM workflows are the same things... However when you work on CRM, the BOR objects would be belonging to CRM and not to ECC... However conceptwise , there in no change at all.. If you learn BIT100......, you can also work on CRM workflows..

  • Difference between SAP CRM and mySAP CRM

    Hi ,
can anybody tell me the Difference between SAP CRM and mySAP CRM.
    Regards,
    Shaker.

Personally I have never called it mySAP CRM even though I have worked with SAP CRM since version 2.0C.
IMHO:  Calling it SAP CRM + numerical version number is lot easier to understand
If you look at a CRM system the installed component could be one of the following:
    BBPCRM 20C SAP CRM 2.0C
    BBPCRM 300 SAP CRM 3.0
    BBPCRM 310 SAP CRM 3.1
    BBPCRM 400 SAP CRM 4.0 / mySAP CRM 2004
    BBPCRM 500 SAP CRM 5.0 / mySAP CRM 2005
    BBPCRM 510 SAP CRM 2006s(1)
    BBPCRM 520 SAP CRM 2006s(2)
    BBPCRM 600 SAP CRM 2007 / SAP CRM 6.0
    BBPCRM 700 SAP CRM 7.0
I'm not sure about some of the other versions.. but I believe that covers most.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Why Siebel and not any other CRM

What all members have to say: Why Siebel and not any other CRM?

    What are you looking for?
I hope it's not related to your nick. ;-)
Seriously, there is no set of rules that makes you decide for or against Siebel.
If Siebel is a good solution for one company, doesn't mean it's a good solution for all companies.
    It all depends...

  • Do you know any other CRM where users can do this in interface?

Do you know? In CRM where you can link one record with the other based on the same value of the
field (e.g. you can use Sugar for email, but email is not linked to contacts). This is possible by doing some hacking in the database. Do you know any other CRM where users can do this in interface?

    Hi Amanda,
It could be that DSO_X is a write optimized DSO. Since a Write optimised DSO does not require any activation, it is capable of loading data much faster. Once the data is in BW, you have an exact copy of the R/3 data, so you dont need the PSA and they can be deleted on a regular basis. You have a definite performance improvement in this case.
As you said a backup is also possible if you have a DSO. Helps in the case of LIS loads, since you already have a copy of the data in BW, you would not need to perform setup activties if you need to do so minor changes.
It could also be that different transformations are happening at each level of DSO. You would need to check for start and update routines for exactly what changes are being made. for eg. If I need to change some records, i do it in DSO_X, if i need to change these records based on the changes made in DSO_X, i change them while loading to DSO. Further changes can be done while loading to the cube.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards.

  • Crm-action and crm table document needed

    Hi ALL,
I need  documents on CRM- Action and CRM - table , if anybody has please send it to the following id : [email protected],it wll be great helpful.
    Thanks in advance
    Satya

    hello,
Most of the replication of documents from CRM to ECC is done via the messaging BDOCs which are in CRM Middleware. The analysis of these will give you the mapping of fields.
Some general rules in identifying tables in CRM.
CRMM  - tables starting prefix M is for Master data
CRMD - tables starting prefix D is for the Document data or transaction data
CRMC - tables starting prefix C are for customizing data
    for example,
CRMD_ORDERADM_H contains transaction data for transaction types (document types)
Below are some of the links where data is transferred to R/3.Analysis of this will help.

  • CRM 2007 with CRM Mobile Infrastructure

We are building a Prototype (Non Production) CRM 2007 with CRM Mobile Infrastructure as an internal project.
Question 1: I wanted to ask, as it is stated that Commstation cannot run on64 Bit Hardware/64 Bit OS hardware and it is not supported by SAP. I was checking the CRM Mobile Installation Guide
    https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700002090432006E/
and wanted to confirm if there is a possibility of us using one server instance to install the Mobile Repository Server, Mobile Development Workstation, Communication Station (CommStation) all
    in one box??
Q2: Secondly, if we were only using mobile infrastructure for CRM scenarios Field Account and Contact Management, Field OpportunityManagement,
and possibly Quotation Management (not the Order Management) will we still need to install a Workgroup Server/Workgroup Client??
Is it also possible to install Mobile Repository Server, Mobile Development Workstation, Communication Station (CommStation) on the actual CRM 2007 server we currently have??
Q3: Can we realize the CRM Mobile scenarios with just three servers?
1 CRM 2007 Server (existing server already deployed with CRM 2007)
    1 SAP CRM Mobile Server
    1 CommStation Server
Q4: Can we realize these CRM Mobile scenarios Field Account and Contact Management, Field OpportunityManagement, and possibly Quotation Management (not the Order Management), by simply installing Usage Type MI on our CRM 2007 (existing) Server?
    Thanks.
    James

    Hi James,
It is possible to install Comm Station\Repository and MDW on the one machine.
The repository server contains only the db and some tools
    But not recommended by SAP.
The prerequisites are that the Development Workstation is installed on a separate machine from teh repository server.
But as you can see in the installation guide, it is possible to install a local repository.
However its recommended to have one central repository and have a dev workstation connect to it.
If you have several developers accessing the same central machine, it would cause problems. Its recommended to have the MAS application
installed on their local machine connecting to the repository.
I would also keep the mobile scenario separate from CRM Online. As you have stated below, the 3 servers would be enough.
You dont need to have the Workgroup for the CRM scenarios you have mentioned.
    Rgds, Gervase
