SAP CRM with multiple MS Exchange Servers

Hi all,
I would like to use a SAP CRM 7.0 system with multiple MS Exchange servers. It is possible to forward emails from these Exchange servers to the SAP WAS via SMTP, so that SAP ERMS functionalities can be used to process the emails?
Thank you,
Till

The answer is yes.  You need to just setup the exchange servers to route the e-mail to the inbound SMTP port setup on the CRM WAS server.  You will then configure the inbound e-mail address on the WAS to map to the ERMS service.
CRM does not care how the message got sent to it, it just needs to be dropped off at that location.
Take care,
Stephen

  • Best Approach for integrating SAP CRM with Outage Management System

    Hi All,
We are moving towards deploying Outage Management System (Oracle Utilities NMS) to help localize the fault, achieve Outage Management and a transparent network with a near-real time stats. We already have SAP ECC 6.0, ISU, SAP PI 7.0 and SAP CRM 7.0. One of the challenges we are facing is to decide how should we go about the integration of SAP CRM with Oracle's Outage Management System.
Here is a sample business scenario,
CSR receives a call from a consumer and inquires about planned outages for a particular area.
This information is contained in the Outage Management System (OMS). OMS is SOA based and is hosted on Oracle Service Bus.
I want to know that is there any ES Bundles available for CRM-OMS integration? Should we go about Service Based Integration? What are the alternatives to Service based integration? Can it be done using BAPIs?
We receive around 1000 consumer complains and against every complain a ticket is generated in CRM. Now If CRM is integrated with OMS using SAP PI, the volume of the data being exchanged via PI is very much high and exceeds our licensed volume for SAP PI. So I do need to know the best practices for either approach that you may recommend.

    Adil Khalil

does anyone have an idea about this one, I've asked this question in a few places and no one really seems clear about it.
Also, I've read here and there that SAP Business One is not a real SAP product. It was bought by SAP and is sold by them but has little do to with SAP's technology (R/3, SAP ERP, Netweaver, SAP CRM, ...), and that therefore they don't support it that much ? Is any of this right ?
I'm just trying to get my vision of the SAP universe clear.

  • What is activity in SAP CRM  with examples plz?

    Dear All
What is activity in SAP CRM  with examples plz?
    Thanks
    CRM Newbee

Activities are explained in CR010 & CR300. It is a transaction type used to record sales activities e.g. telephone call, email or customer visit or a follow up call, request to fill up a questionnaire or request to set the status to complete etc. in customer/partner engagement lifecycle. This has mainly information like: Activity type partner, texts & dates. However it is an order document like opportunity, sales order etc. & extra information can be added by including customer set types like we do in opportunity, quotation, sales order, conttract etc.
Activities are a central part of SAP CRM & used across application e.g. Interaction Center, Sales, Marketing etc.
I hope this should be sufficient & helpful.
If you need to understand more about basic concept of Activities please see the dropdown list for Activity types..this will give you a good idea as to what are the kinds of business transactions which can be activities.
Regarding Quotation thing...Quotation is not an activity but 'Create Quotation' or 'Create Quotation as follow up to a lead or opportunity' can be an activity.
    Thanks,
    Vivek

  • Inbound Email configuration - SAP CRM with MS Exchange Server

    Dear Pundits,
We are implementing SAP CRM and one of the requirement is to configure the Inbound email functionality.
As of now, we have successfully configured the outbound mail functionality.
The inbound email functionality to a Single client:
Our MS Exchange Server Domain is ITAstute.com.
Where as, on the CRM system, under SCOT transaction --> Settings --> Default Domain, we have entered the Domain name as
    crm-dev.itastute.com
We are planning to receive emails for different email id's like service, complaints, and so on into our SAP system.
How will the exchange server can direct the mails from above external emails from domail itastute.com to onto CRM server domain crm-dev.itastute.com????
    Thank you,
    Nikee

Then you need to define the routing rule in the exchange server.
Exchange server config is outside the SAP scope and you should contact your exchange admin to get it done.
Also they might force you to use the port 25 if you have any policy such in your company.
We used the routing rule from exchange to BIGIP and BIGIP to our SAP server, that way we could use different port.
You could search in google for the steps and i come accross the link given below.
    See if its useful.
    Link: [exchange rule|http://www.petri.co.il/forums/showthread.php?t=13120]
Additional input related to the rule.
you need to define the virtual host if you have more than one client that need to be configured for inbound routing.
*@crm-dev.itastutecom => * applies to any user in your system and crm-dev.itastutecom should be your virtual host.
janus.itastute.com => is your hostname and define port number for each client that need to configured.

  • SAP CRM Groupware Connector for Exchange on 64 Bit platform

    Hi All,
We have successfully installed SAP CRM 5.0 on Windows 2003 x64 Server R2 SP2.
OS, Database and SAP Kernel are all 64 Bit enabled.
Now we are trying to install SAP CRM Groupware Connector on the same server.
But we encounter problems with SAP Groupware Connector 2.1 for MS Exchange installer (setup.exe), which stops with the following error:
    Required Software missing:
    - MS SOAP Toolkit
    Installation cannot be continued !
But SOAP Toolkit 3.0 definitely is installed.
Obviously the Groupware Connector is still 32 Bit.
It is the only available download in SAP Marketplace i could find.
The CD is located in the same area where the CRM installation CDs can be downloaded.
SAP does not differ between 32 Bit and 64 Bit versions.
I'm wondering if it is possible, to run a 32 Bit Groupware Connector in a 64 Bit environment.
Does anybody have experience with such a configuration ?
Or is there a 64 Bit enabled version available for download ? Where can i find this version ?
    Thank you in advance.

I got an answer from SAP Support:
SAP still recommends to use 32-bit system OS in order to avoid any future confusions.
So we have to install another 32 Bit Server only for the Groupware Connector.
    Thx for your interest.

  • Integrating Presence with multiple AD/Exchange Domains

We have a single CUCM cluster that support several organizations.  Some of these organizations want to implement CUPS with integration with their Exchange Servers.  Each organization has their own, seperate AD Tree and Exchange server (some integrate with their own Unity, some others have their own Unity Connection server).  However, Presence only allows a single Outlook Presence Gateway for Free/Busy indication.   This is a problem.
One thought is that each organization get their own Presence server, but can non-clustered Presence servers integrate with one CUCM cluster?  I know that a single Presence Cluster will not support multiple CUCM clusters, but does it have to be a 1-to-1 relationship?
Second, can different Presence servers in the same cluster point to different Outlook Presence Gateways?  If so, we can simply add a Presence server for each organization that points to that org's Exchange server.

The answer is yes and no.
Yes, you may install multiple CUPS servers with one CUCM cluster.  You may point each CUPS server to different Exchange server.
Most of the features will work but phone presence ("on-the-phone" status).  Because on CUCM, you can only specify one SIP trunk as PUBLISH trunk.  And one SIP trunk can only point to one CUPS server (cluster).
There might be some "workarounds".  But I haven't tested them yet.  So it might or might not work.
Workaround 1:  Set up a "proxy device" to redirect traffic.  All CUPS server point to this device.  This device will redirect the traffic based on difference email domain.  This device could be a layer 7 content switch, an Exchange server, or a firewall/web proxy with content inspection features.
Workaround 2: On CUPS > Presence > Settings, uncheck "Enable SIP Publish on CUCM".  Without this option, CUPS will use SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY model to get phone presence from CUCM.  You don't have to specify a PUBLISH trunk on CUCM.  This works on CUCM 5.x.  But I haven't tested on CUCM 6.x or above.
Ultimate Solution: talk to a Cisco sale person and request multi-tenant feature to be added to CUPS.  You're not the first one who asked for this.  Development team just wait for enough requests to justify the decision.

  • Integrating SAP CRM with the SAP HR module using ALE/IDOC

    Hi,
We replicated HR data(employee and position) from SAP HR to SAP CRM system using ALE/IDOC.
Here I have one question,If I change the position to the employee in CRM system, will changes happen in SAP HR system automatically? or Delta changes will haapen? If yes pl explain.
Using change pointers master data changes flowsfrom SAP HR to SAP CRM .
    TIA.

    Hi
    To integrate... between those systems
first of all u have to create message type to tose fields with t code bd52.
then activate that massege type in bd50.
and after that one u have to activate chaneg pointers globally with bd61.
if u did these thigns if u made any chnegs to those fileds that witll be reflected in the next system

    Hi Team,
I am new to BOBJ and its components. I want to integerate SAP CRM system with Xcelsius to generate dashboards. As per my understanding only  through three sources we can generate Xcelsius dashboards
    1) Excel sheet  2) Web services  3) Live Office
Now in this case, how can I generate Xcelsius dashboards. How can I connect it to CRM system and How can I fetch the data from it?
    Regards,

CA Forum: Xcelsius and Live Office
to create dashboards with xcelsius is not a big issue, just you've to understand how u get the data from ur database , for the excel sheet its a primary thing that make the xcelsius dashboards work, for the other things its just a work arounds to let ur data come live
like "Live Office" , or "Web Service" or "XML Data map",,,, etc
based on ur business and ur available tools, you can use anything of them to get the data life to the Xcelsius dashboards, read the xcelsius developer guide from business objects thats may help you much around this issue
    good luck

  • Integrating CRM with multiple R/3

    Hi All,
We have 3 R/3  and 1 CRM systems. All master data same 3 ERP systems. For example Material number :ABC same 3 ERP systems. 3 ERP systems different master data GUID number produced and this GUID number problem extraction to CRM system.
Can somebody please tell how to integrate the CRM to multiple R/3 systems for both Initial and delta download
    Best regards,

    Hi Okan,
Define the naming convention that you are going to follow in CRM for the Business Partner.
Define a External No range for your Busienss partner in CRM w.r.t to your R/3 system
It is very much possible to assign your No ranges to the Business partner during its intial Load.
When delta comes you have to mach the same key as it was generated during the intial load.
    Hope this helps
    Regards

  • Use sap webdispatcher with multiple hosts

I need to support 2 different senerios with our SAP Webdispatcher.  I need to have some users accessing services on our backend ECC system using SSL between the SAP Web Dispatcher and the client.  I have another group of users that need to use a different URL that does not need to use SSL.  Do I need to run 2 separate instances of SAP Webdispatcher or can I configue one to handle both accesses?

Are all the users accessing the same back end system?  If they are, you should be able to do it with one dispatcher.  You would just need to configure two ports in the <SID>_Wxx_hostname profile, e.g.:
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=80
    icm/server_port_1 = PROT=ROUTER,PORT=443
This will route users to who connect to the web dispatcher on port 80 to the backend system via HTTP, and users who connect to the web dispatcher on port 443 will be routed to the backend system via HTTPS (Using end-to-end ssl).
If you're trying to route users to different back end systems, I think you will need multiple web dispatchers.  As far as I know, a web dispatcher will only load balance users over a single system.  But I'm not 100% on that, so maybe somebody else knows for sure.
    Hope this helps,
    Glenn
