SAP Cryptographic Library SSF version

Hi,
We have a requirement to upgrade SSF version to 1.555.29 or higher.
We have downloaded the latest SAP Cryptographic Library 1.555.32 and followed the below link to install SAP cryptographic library.

but still in strust T Code Environment Menu Display SSF Version, still it showing 1.555.26
Please suggest us

After setting the parameters correctly, issue is resolved.
DIR_EXECUTABLE: /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/
DIR_INSTANCE: /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>

Even though this library is used for security, installation of SAP components is more a basis thing. Didn't the download site provide any manuals?

SAP Cryptographic Library Vs JAVA Cryptographic Library

Hello All,
Whats the functional difference between SAP Cryptographic Library and JAVA Cryptographic Library. How they differ in fuctionality and When do we use one over the other. Naming convention says both are different but I am not sure of the functional difference. Any help in making me understand this is appriciable.

Well, it's pretty easy:
"SAP Cryptographic Library" (aka "SAPcryptolib") is a native library (DLL) - and therefore platform-specific. It's typically used with components such as WebAS ABAP, JCO, WebDispatcher, etc.
"Java Cryptographic Library" (aka "IAIK Toolkit") is implemented in Java. It's typically used for the WebAS Java.

Can someone post a link to where this thing is? Everything that i read says just go to "http://service.sap.com/swdc" and download it, except i cannot seem to find it anywhere.

You must be able to receive the SAP Cryptographic Library according to the German export regulations.
The distribution of the SAP Cryptographic Library is subject to and controlled by German export regulations and is not available to all customers. In addition, the library may be subject to local regulations of your own country that may further restrict the import, use and (re-)export of cryptographic software. If you have any further questions on this issue, contact your local SAP subsidiary.
If you have cleared all this, then you can find it by log in on [https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/swdc]
Here follow the path as "SAP Software Download Center" ->Installations and Upgrades" -> "Browse our Download Catalog" -> "SAP Cryptographic Software".
Also check the SAP note [397175|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=397175] for more information of downloading the SAP Cryptographic Library.

SAP Cryptographic Library for Windows 2008

Hello,
Do you know where can i find SAP Cryptographic Library for Windows 2008 x64?
I was trying to find it in swdc, but there's only for Windows 2003 - and it's not working with 2008.

Just an information from my experience : I have never been able to download any release of the SAP Crypto library contrary to what all the documentation and SAP notes tell.
We had always to ask our SAP representative and to wait for several weeks to receive a DVD by physical mail.

Earlier today I posted this query under the "Security" Forum but was told it's better posted here... so apologies in advance if you're seeing this thread again.
What I would like to know is how to install the SAP Cryptographic software?... I have downloaded the SAP Cryptographic Library SAR file, and unpacked it, but am now looking for instructions on how to install and configure the software... anyone know how to do this?

Hi Sharon,
First uncar the SAR file in the folder \usr\sap\<sid>\saprouter
Just paste the files here once you uncar it.
Then you have to set the variables as
'SECUDIR' = \usr\sap\<sid>\saprouter
SNC_LIB = \usr\sap\<sid>\saprouter\ntadm64\sapcrypto.dll
ntadm64 or what ever folder you get once you uncar it.

Installing the SAP Cryptographic on Web Dispatcher

Hi,
I need to install the SAP Cryptographic on Web Dispatcher but the first step is ask for generate a public certificate. I found a documentation saying that is required to upload sapcrypto.carcontains which is the SAP Cryptographic Library Installation Package.
I looked for it at service.sap.com/swdc and didn't find. Could someone help me?
By the way, is it the right process?

Well, if your Web Dispatcher runs on Microsoft Windows operating system (32 bit) then that's the right library to enable SSL.

I have tried to download the SAP Cryptographic Library package from http://service.sap.com/swdc. I don't find that package under :

Where could I find it ?
What approval must I have ?

you must logged in with an S-User account and confirm the terms and conditions form, before you are offered the download links of the SAP crypto software.

SAP cryptographic libraby install

Hello,
I am trying to install SAP cryptographic library on my WEBAS Java.
The recommended location as per SAP is
Windows NT: <DRIVE>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\run
But, I could not find dorectory "run" on my machine.
i have E:\usr\sap\J2E\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386
Can i install on directory "uc" whether it will work as expected.
If anybody experienced this, pls help me.

Can you please clarify me whether you are using NW04 or NW04s, because the path structure which you are telling as Windows NT: <DRIVE>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\run comes with NW04 but the path which is
present on your machine is E:\usr\sap\J2E\SYS\exe\uc\NTI386 which is the path structure for NW04s.
So may be you are using NW04s system. So you can install SAP Cryptographic library under "uc".
Both the file structures are same.It differs only depending whether you are using NW04 or NW04s.

if you would give us the error message we could give you an advise.

on the screen where you need to enter the path to the JCT, the links are given on where to download those libararies.

Merge SAP GTS Library ("Help") with "ERP Library"

Hi all
I downloaded the sap global trade service library (means the sap-help).
Because my gts system is on the same system like my ERP (on a different client) I need to merge the sap-help library of the erp system with the sap help library of the gts.
Now I copied all .chm files from the gts library directory to the ".chm-folder" of my erp system. Now I have to update the "index" (00000001.chm) so that the GTS-part of the documentation is listed in the first page.
Does anyone has an idea how that could work?

NOTE: With SAP NetWeaver AS 7.0 something really important changed! The cryptographic toolkit is now part of the SAP NetWeaver AS Java and does not have to be installed afterwards. In earlier versions the cryptographic toolkit had to be downloaded on the SAP Service Marketplace due to some export and import control regulations. How to do Post Install SAP Cryptographic in Netweaver CE 7.1 to enable SSL?

Dear all,
I have install sap netweaver CE7.1 and SSM 7.5.
During installation netweaver CE7.1, i didn't tick install SAP Crytographic Library, and after that NWCE setup, now i want to install Crytographic file that i have download.

So how to Install SAP Cryptographic in Netweaver CE 7.1 to enable SSL, without again reinstall NWCE 7.1?

Even though NetWeaver CE is a required piece for running Strategy Management, for a specific NetWeaver CE question you need to go to the NetWeaver experts, not SSM.
