SAP_CUST Profile

Hi Experts,
While doing client copy if we use the profile "SAP_CUST" ,Shall I know the List of tables used for client copy with profile "SAP_CUST"
Regards
DK

Hi Anwer wassim,
To change the sap* password follow the following steps :
1) Start the Config Tool.
2) In the tree, navigate to Global server configuration -> services -> com.sap.security.core.ume.service and the list of UME properties appears.
3) Activate the SAP* user by setting the following properties:
ume.superadmin.activated - true (This activates the SAP* user)
ume.superadmin.password  - <password> (This defines the password for the SAP* user)
4) Restart the AS Java. The SAP* user is now activated. While it is activated, all other users are deactivated. You can only log on with the SAP* user.
Thanks

  • Client copy using SAP_CUST profile

    Hi
I have a requirement to copy the Production client (customization only) to Dev-100 customization client (Already existing with customization). Since the production system is having the latest customization settings,my func team wants to copy the production system customization to Dev customization client.
My system config (SAP R/3 4.6C, Oracle 8i, HP UX 11i)
Requirement: PRD 500 --> DEV 100 (Client copy using SAP_CUST)
I have planned the activity as below,
    1. Create a backup client in Dev system ... Dev 110 as a copy of Dev100 (Perform a SCCL with SAP_ALL profile of DEV 100)
    2. Export SAP_CUST from PRD 500
    3. Del Dev100 and import 500 to Dev 100
    My doubt is,
    1. Whether it is mandatory to delete Dev client 100 before importing PRD client 500?
    2. If we import the PRD client in to Dev without deleting, will the data consistency be maintained? ( Profile is SAP_CUST)
    3. How long will be the export and import of SAP_CUST will run on an average(Any ways to find the number of tables that get exported when we use SAP_CUST profile?)
    4. Any post import activity to be performed after SAP_CUST import?
Please share your experience on this regard. Also, please clarify whether my approach to the requirement is correct or not.
    regards,
    Vinodh.

    Hi Vinod,
    1. No need to delete client 100 in Dev system. If you copy SAP_CUST profile from PRD system the Production Only customising data will be over written by existing data in DEV.
2.Data cpnsistency will  be maintained and you can monitor the entire process using SCC3. Here you can monitor how many table copied and how much % of data copied.
    3. As pawan said Please lock all users in DEV system except your user as apreinstallation activity and start client copy. Once you done with that Unlock all users and SGEN to generate nulily created object and to increase system performance.
    4. The time take for complition will be depend on you data you are coping.
Before start Client copy follow pre requisites and start.

  • CUA client doesn't know any profile/role anymore after adding child system

    Hi,
I did set up a CUA client on our Solman system. The client is client 500 which has been copied over from 000 via the SAP_CUST profile.
In this client 500 I did create some users with the SAP_ALL profile, so no problem here.
After adding a child system to the CUA, it seems that if I want to create a new user in the CUA client 500 it doesn't know any role/profile anymore which is standard available in this client.
In PFCG I can find a lot of standard roles, but when adding one via SU01 I do get the error that it doesn't exist. The same goes for the profile SAP_ALL.
Just to be clear, adding profiles or roles from child systems is not a problem, just adding roles or profiles for the CUA client itself doesn't seems to work anymore.
I had this problem on a 7.0 solman system and now also on a 7.01.
Did anyone had the same problem?
    Thanks,
    Gregory

    Hello Georges,
I have exactly the same issue.
I have created a new CUA. I have copie 001 client to 333 client, using SAP_ALL profile.
Now, from CUA client (333), I cannot add any roles or profiles to my user.
I have created an RFC D1CCLNT333, but it does not resolved the problem.
Did you do anything else to fix your issue ?
    Thanks

  • SAP PROFILES ERROR

    Hi all,
I have a Question regarding client...I did a client copy of
client 900 with SAP_CUSTand the client copy is successfull
too but when I try to login with sap* and 0607....password else
with ddic with standard password I am not able to login. In sap*
I am able to login with password -
    (pass).If I try to create a
user its not allowing me to create Company address.
for country---IN (india) does not exist,
    Currency---INR ---its not accepting.
so if anyone knows answer plz do reply.

    Hi,
When you create a new client, always the default password for sap* will be 'pass'.
Here you performed the client copy with SAP_CUST profile which copies only the customizing data and wil not copy the user master records.
If you want get the all the user names and their passwords from the source client to target client, then you need to perform client copy with SAP_USER profile. This task will be over writing the existing user master records in the target client.
About Country and currency codes, go through SPRO.
    Thanks,

  • Customization copy from ECC Prod to Dev

    Hi gurus,
There is a complaint from our BI team that so much of customization was directly made in QA in the early phases of the SAP Implementation Project and this was not re-developed in DEV and moved to QA and Production.  This has resulted in loss of customization in development and is not suitable for Unit and Product testing.
To put Prod and Dev in sync with customizing, I propose to export Prod / QA client 100 (with SAP_CUST profile) and import into DEV client 100.  What are your views on
    the best practices
    technical feasibility
    client security implications
    Thanks for your help.

The same product is installed, with the same release, in both systems.
All components in these systems, including add-ons, have the same development status.

SAP_CUST only copy customizing data. so, there is no risk of misusing production data as in case of system refresh.

  • How to reset password from sql level

    Dear All,
I have created a new client 300 which is a copy of 000,
i have selected only SAP_CUST  profile, no user master profile is selected.
After creation of client i have created one user,
now only one user is existing in newly created client 300, unfortunately , i am unable to login using that user,
for which i have to reset the password,
how do i proceed to attend this issue. Can i do it from OS level or SQL level,, if so then please let me know how do i proceed for it.
    regards,
    SM

    HI,
use the source client password for SAP*
suppose you copied 300 client from source client  000 then use 000 sap* password in 300
if you are still getting problem with login using sap* in client 300
    then  do following
run query analyzer if you use SQl server 2000
or run sql server management studio if you use SQL 2005
    connect to database
    use folloiwng query
in SQL 2005 click on new query
    USE SID
DELETE sid.USR02 where MANDT='300' and BNAME = 'SAP*'
where SID = your sap system id ID in uppercase
sid = your sap system id in lowercase
    query is case sensitive
after executing query login with sap* user and password 'pass'.

  • Data migration from one DEV(DE1) system to other DEV(DE2) BW system using client copy or client export import

    HI SAP Gurus,
    Please find the below details:
    SAP NetWeaver 7.3
We have to copy all customized or developed BW objects like master data, DSO's , Infocubes , Reports etc.
We need only the design changes but not the data within the DSO or cubes that exist .
    We have tried below procedure:
    1) Taken export of DE1 source client 400 with profile SAP_CUST
    2) Imported transports generated for above export into DE2 target client 350.
    3) Executed transaction SCC3 and performed post processing, post processing was successful  . Still we are not able to see DSO's, infocubes ,reports.
Please lets us know what we need to do to fulfill our requirement.

    Hi Basis,
Please refer to below documentation on how to perform system copy in BI systems
How to System Copy in SAP Business Intelligence System Landscapes (NW2004)
Post processing steps for SAP BW system copy or db copy
BI systems has mostly cross client objects. So client copy with SAP_CUST profile will not serve your purpose.
    Hope this helps.

  • Dump "conne_import_wrong_comp_type" during client copy

    Hi gurus!!
Last week I tried to run a client copy with SAP_CUST profile but the next dump was generated:
    Runtime Error          CONNE_IMPORT_WRONG_COMP_TYPE
    Exception              CX_SY_IMPORT_MISMATCH_ERROR
Error when attempting to IMPORT object "TLINE".
    What happened?
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
When attempting to import data, it was discovered that the data type of the stored data was not the same as that specified in the program.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_IMPORT_MISMATCH_ERROR',
was neither caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure "READ_TEXTLINES" "(FORM)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
When importing the object "TLINE", the component no. 1 in the dataset has a different type from the corresponding component of the target object in the program "SAPLSTXD".
The data type is "N" in the dataset, but "C" in the program.
I checked that the report SAPLSTXD had not been changed and I can't found the reason of the error.
    Can anybody help me?
Thank you very much in advanced.
    Edorta.

    Hi nick
I have already checked the note and executed the corresponding report and it shows an incorrect text filtering with the information extracted from the dump.
I have eliminated this wrong text in STXL and rescheduled the client copy for toningth. Tomorrow we will see the results.
Thank you very much in advanced,
    Edorta.

  • Standard Table entries missing in E-RECRUIT System

    Hi,
We are in the phase of E-Rec implementation. We have installed standalone E-recruit system (NW 7.4)
We did client copy with SAP_CUST profile from 000 to 300, but some of the table were not reflected which we copied again.
We run the report RHTTCP77 for tables t77rcf* and copied client dependent tables from 000 to overcome the issue for the missing tables in 300.
But, still we have an issue with VV_T77SK_RCF as all entries are not updated, what is the way fwd?
Shall we proceed with SAP_CUST or SAP_ALL during client copy if we need above entries?
Can anyone please suggest what way we will follow to overcome the issue of missing tables?

  • Creating NEW CLIENT,USER and PASSWORD Please

    Hi ..
I am having this problem ,I am from SD-module. I am trying to work with sending and receiving IDOC's . Here i have problem with creating another logical system.could u please assist me in creating another client/user/password on my existed system.so that i can be able to send an idoc from one logical system to another logical system.i would appreciate your efforts.
    regards,
    SURIYA.

    Hi
You can create a client using transaction code SCC4. Then you need to perform a client copy, use transcation SCCL to perform a local client copy from client 000 using SAP_ALL/SAP_CUST profile.
Once you are done with you need to check whether the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar is set to false (0). This can be achived in transaction code RZ10. You will have to restart the SAP server if the parameter value is altered(if not already 0).
Once the parameter is set then u can login to the client using user SAP* and password "pass". For performing client copy u will log into the destination client that is the client newly created and using SCCL perform the client copy.
Using BD54 u can create a logical system and in transaction SCC4 you can assign this logical system to the new client.
Once you are done with client copy then DDIC user will also be there with the master password given during installation time.
Using transaction SU01 you can create new users according to ur need and assign the roles/profiles as required.
Once this is done you can peform the IDOC sending and recieveing activity in between those clients.
If any more queries feel free to ask.

  • Copy QAS customizing after TDMS copy from Production are finished

    Hi Gurus,
I need your help whit this issue. I use TDMS to create a second client in QAS with Production data but I have to manteinance a QAS customizing.
The TDMS copy was finished OK. So, the customizing is same as the production system; but I need the customizing from QAS system.
Have I import ALL transport to QAS in the new client ?? Or I can do a client copy??
How to copy the customizing QAS to the new client in the same system??
If I do a client copy with SAP_CUST profile, the documentation said that the appliction data was deleted.
         SAP_CUST
Client-dependent Customizing, including authorization profiles, are copied. The application data is deleted and the user data is retained.

I don´t know how is the best practice for this situation...
Somebody can help me for this?
    Thanks a lot.
    Sergio.

    Hello.
What we do here (sucessfully) is to install in QAS all transports in the queue to the production system. Of course for that you have to be sure that your queue really represents the delta between QAS and PRD.
Actually that's already how we did it before TDMS: we made full system copies, but then imported the queue back in QAS so that we would keep the customizing (and ABAP).

  • Client copy completed but scc3 shows some tables deleted why

    Dear Experts ,
here i perform test run for production client 500 to quality client 400 (remote type)
    and i choose sap_cust profile
after some time my remote client copy is completed successfully
and i find log files in scc3
my doubt is when i execute scc3 for log file
it shows log analysys in that
target client source system every thing is their and also
    here i found
number of tables      50089 to 50089
    Deleted lines            10905326
    copied lines             12451200
i did not understand is that my client copy is successful or not
    but log file shows successful,
if it is successful means why some lines are deleted
    please reply me
    Regards

    Hi,
As per your logs, you have run the test run, so client copy is not happened. If status in SCC3 is successful then client copy is successful. You can also further check logs.

  • Solman Clients

    Currently we have 000 001 100 clients.
As you know 000 001 are default clients and 100 is a copy from 000 client with SAP_CUST profile.
When i tried to configure SLD , i dont see SLD related user id's SLDAPIUSER and other service users.
I guess users are not copied when we did client copy from 000 client with SAP_CUST profile?
What do we do now ?
    1. Delete 100 and start using 001 client as productive client ?
    2. Can i transfer only user info by doing client copy from 001 to 100 ?
Please give me some input.Thank you

    Hi
if all the user exists in both the clients,It doesnt matter whether you use 000, or 001 as the source client,
if you want to include the users in your copy then please add any one of the down profiles that includes the users in the target
    SAP_UCUS, SAP_UCSV, SAP_USER... etc

    Hello ,
There is requirement at my client site to build SAP system copy from Production System  without copying Data but
