Typically there is no single process flow defined for any given business scenario within SAP, normally there are a number of alternatives based on industry best practice.
When you have carried out the business blueprint phase and captured these requirements within Sap solution manager you are then able to generate process flows that describe the business scenario.
These are not currently able to generate BPEL or UML models, to do this you would need to use something like ARIS for SAP Netweaver.
Unless the context of the business requirements are understood and without access to SAP Solution manager you might be limited as to the "process flow" view you seem to be after.
Therefore please have a look at the business scenario maps, I would also recommend downloading the solution composer, this should be capable of generating the business scenarios for you.

While this may not be exactly what you are after, you could also search the best practice packages components on http://help.sap.com

  • SAP business process maps for mySAP ECC6.0?

Any idea how we can get the SAP business process maps for mySAP ECC6.0?  Is this imbedded in Solution Manager?
    Thanks,
    Phani

    Hello Phani,
I suppose you are looking for the solution maps for mySAP ERP (which contains SAP ECC as a component). These maps are not contained in the SAP Solution Manager, but they are delivered with the SAP Solution Composer, an offline PC tool which allows you to browse and pre-scope your own solution (evaluating your solution). The tool itself including the latest solution map content is always available for download at the SAP Service Marketplace:
    <a href="http://service.sap.com/s-composer">http://service.sap.com/s-composer</a>
You can also view the mySAP ERP - as part of the cross-industry maps -  right here:
    <a href="http://service.sap.com/form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000338980&">http://service.sap.com/form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000338980&</a>
The SAP Solution Manager would then come into play for configuring the respective processes (implementing you solution).

  • Mapping between SAP work process and db2 application/applications ?

    Hi,
I want to identify what db2 application(s), maps to particular SAP work process.(when I mean db2 application I mean entry in "list applications" command output)
Both db2 "list applications" and SAP work process lists PIDS of processes they belog.
I want to find what db2 process maps to particular sap work process ? (I'm not sure is it one-to-one or one-to-many)
    thanks
    Vilius

Using the DBACOCKPIT / ST04 (DB02 ... just leads you to a different branch of the DBACOCKPIT) gives you the option to view the mapping from SAP level.
The DB2 facility to use is the application snapshot
db2 get snapshot for applications on <dbname>
which is not very handy to use.
Another way that can be used from DBACOCKPIT (see Diagnostic -> SQL Commands) and database level is SQL - in V9.1 and V9.5 e.g. use
    select agent_id, client_pid, coord_agent_pid from sysibmadm.snapappl_info
In v8 (as of fp9), you also can use SQL - just the view names are different. The beauty of this approach is that you easily can taylor the query to provide exactly the info you need. I suggest to consult the documentation on available views and routines.

  • SAP standard business process mapping

    Hi All,
Can you provide any link or document where I can find standard business process mapping with various SAP modules for Hi-tech manufacturing industry.

    Cool,
The below link should help you.
    http://help.sap.com/bp_hightechv1600/HighTech_DE/html/index.htm
In the area Industry-specific information you will find general industry information and general information on SAP Best Practices for High Tech.
The section Business Blueprint provides a SAP Best Practices Solution Scope document which outlines the processes and functions covered by the SAP Best Practices for High Tech. It describes the various functions and explains their business purposes.

  • SAP Implementation Process !!!

    Hi Folks,
I need brief information about the SAP implementation process. As per the ASAP Methodology we have different phases involved in the entire implementation process from Project preparation,Blue print analysis,Realization,Final Preparation and Go Live Support.
I did not involve myself into implementation. Being a Basis consultant I would like to know what is the involvement of basis consultant in each phase in detail and what are the activities being carry out by a basis team, what would be the avg team size and what would be the duration of the project approximately. I know it depends on the project and modules being used, architecture and all. i just wanted to know the rough details for information.
I would really appreciate for any useful information.
    Regards,
    Vinod

    Hi Viond,
Please find below an elaborated details for SAP Implementaion.
The ASAP (Accelerated SAP) Roadmap provides the methodology for implementing and continuously optimizing your SAP System. It divides the implementation process into five major phases and offers detailed Project Plans to assist you (Microsoft Project format). The documentation stored at each level of the Roadmap tree structure contains recommendations on implementing your SAP System and links to helpful tools and accelerators. We use SAP Solution Manager for the same and define the steps and this information can be transformed into MPP.
The implementation of your SAP System covers the following major phases:
    Project Preparation
In this phase you plan your project and lay the foundations for successful implementation. It is at this stage that you make the strategic decisions crucial to your project:
Define your project goals and objectives
Clarify the scope of your implementation
Define your project schedule, budget plan, and implementation sequence
Establish the project organization and relevant committees and assign resources
Sizing for the SAP Servers (SAPS) Important for Basis.
    Business Blueprint
In this phase you create a blueprint using the Question & Answer database (Q&Adb) older versions and now it has been replaced by new value adds from SAP in Solution Manager, which documents your enterpriseu2019s requirements and establishes how your business processes and organizational structure are to be represented in the SAP System. You also refine the original project goals and objectives and revise the overall project schedule in this phase.  In short its As is >> To be its from from functional consultant (mapping of business process) Basis will be involved how and when backup will be taken what 3rd party/vendor will be used, how users will be handled (CUA or normal procedure).
    Realization
In this phase, you configure the requirements contained in the Business Blueprint. Baseline configuration (major scope) is followed by final configuration (remaining scope), which can consist of up to four cycles. Other key focal areas of this phase are conducting integration tests and drawing up end user documentation. Major part will be creation of transport requests and transportation to QAS system. Configuration of SAProuter, Solution manager and its various configuration
    Final Preparation
In this phase you complete your preparations, including testing, end user training, system management, and cutover activities. You also need to resolve all open issues in this phase. At this stage you need to ensure that all the prerequisites for your system to go live have been fulfilled...Final Check.
    Go Live & Support
In this phase you move from a pre-production environment to the live system. The most important elements include setting up production support, monitoring system transactions, and optimizing overall system performance.
You can also download an HTML version of the ASAP Core Roadmap 7.1 on [SAP Services Marketplace - ASAP Roadmaps and Run SAP Roadmaps|http://service.sap.com/asap] (SMP login required).
    All the best !

  • Best Practices for ASAP Inputs - As-Is Business Process Mapping

I am new to the SAP world and my company is in the early phases of implementation.  I am trying to prepare the "as-is" business process maps for the Project Preparation and Business Blueprint phases and I am looking for some best practices.  I've been told that we don't want them to go too deep but are there best practices and/or examples that give more information on what we should be capturing and the format.
I have searched the forums, WIKI, ASAP documentation, and other areas but have not found much at this level of detail.  I have reviewed the [SAP BPM Methodology|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SAPBPX/BPM+Methodology] but again I am looking for more detail if anyone can direct me to that.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.
    Kevin

    Hello Kevin,
You can try to prepare a word document for each of your As-Is processes first before going to As-Is Process Design in a flowchart.
The word document can have 7 sections -
The first section can include Name of the Process Owner, Designation, Process Responsibility, User Department(s) involved, Module Name and a Document number for reference.
The second section can include Process Definition details - Name of the major process, Name of the minor process, Name of the sub process and a Process ID for future reference.
The third section can be titled as Inputs - this contains details of - Input, Vendor for the input, Type of Input (Data / Activity / Process), Category of Input (Vital / Essential / Desirable) and Mode of Information (Hard / Soft Copy).
The fourth section can be Process Details. Here you can write the process in detail.
The fifth section to contain outputs of the process, customer to whom these outputs are sent, type of output (report / approval / plan / request / email / fax), Category of Output (Vital / Essential / Desirable) and Mode of Information (Hard / Soft Copy).
The sixth section can be Issues / Pain Areas in this process - Issue Description, Remarks, Expectations, Priority (High / Medium / Low)
The seventh section can be expected reports in future out of this process for internal and external reporting.
    Hope this helps your question.

  • Rloe Creation in the SAP template process

    Hello,
Our Company is a subsidiary co. of a German based MNC Co. who have a global presence in Europe, America & Asia.
Our compnay is the first subsidiary Co. for roll out of SAP templet process and later on the same templet process has been rolled out in America & Asia. Our MNC co. has trageted to rolled out the same templet process for all the subsidiary Co. globally.
Under the global template process, presently, we are using the SAP standard roles and user specific roles for the transactions authorisation.
We being a subsidiary co., developing the Role based transaction authorisation matrix and would like to define the same in Global SAP Template.
    Questions:
    1. Being a SAP global templet process, whether this new role based trasaction authorisation roles can be define for our subsidiary Company in the templet?
    2. If , the answer is no what is the alternative remedy.
We would be glade to know the answer.
    Thanx & Regards

    Hi Prasad,
Yes it is possible. You will have to use handling units only as shipping units in the outbound delivery packing function. The handling unit can be defined during the transfer order confirmation (you have this in LT12 as packing) or in the delivery after the TO confirmation. You can only perform packing before goods issue.
I hope i'll helps you lot

  • Sap-ps process

can anybudy tell me the sap-ps process like sales process in sd ....

    Hi Arvind,
SAP PS helps in formalising any large or small size projects. Like buidling a boeing to conducting a trade fair can be fit in SAP PS.
It is nothing but breaking down the total effort/work into manageable chunks and accounting the total effort.
The basic structure of sap ps is below:
    Project Definition->WBS elements->Networks-> Activities->Internally/Externally processed activities -> Material components
After the project has been defined, it would be further devided into Work Breakdown Structures and further to networks and activities. These activities will be assigned with material components/Manual effort if required.
Criteria of deviding a project into subsections and elements would depend on the hugeness and complexity of the project.WBS is the first element in hierarchy for planning the tasks, material and manual effort. Networks help in giving a proper sequence to the tasks.work packages/activities sub devide the work in minute level with the qualitative and quantitative details.
Please let me know if you need any further info..
    Thanks

  • Distribution Planning within SAP - APO 3.0 or SCM 4.0

    Hi,
Can do any 'Distribution Planning' within SAP SCM V4.0 or V5.0.
We are trying to  improve  'decision-making' associated with selection of a particular warehouse  for shipments coming out of a specific plant. The application should be able to produce a recommended set of shipments by week from each plant. Critical inputs that go into the process will be (a) Procurement Forecast; (b) Production Forecast; (c) Warehouse Space; (d) Production Plan etc
Can this be done utilizing SAP APO 3.0, SCM 4.0 or SCM 5.0?
    Thanks

    Hi Tushar,
APO 3.0, SCM 4.0 nd SCM 5.0 all provide replenishment, distribution and deployement along with basic transportation planning functionalities wihin SNP (Suppluy Network Module) of APO. With SCM 5.0 you get other applications (along with APO) like EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and better transportation planning features.
Moreover it makes sense to go in for the lastest version of the solution to get the latest set of features. Please check on help.sap.com under my SAP Business Suite >> SCM >> APO >> SNP or http://www.sap.com/solutions/business-suite/scm/featuresfunctions/index.epx for more details.

  • Business Process Maps/ Process Flows for Retail Operations

    Dear All,
I am looking for Business Process Maps/ Process Flows for Retail Operations like forecasting, inter store transfers, ASN, Procurement, Allocation etc.
Kindly provide me with a link, docs, PPts etc.
Appreciation would be in the form of points.
    Regards,
    Jack Silverz

    Hi Jack
Seeing as you only got one reply - I'm jumping in with my 2-peneth.
Seldom have I found process content which sufficiently explains both manual and automated processes in a format which is sufficiently simple to engage discussion (between project teams and business representatives).  Is there a way to strike the required balance - simplicity for the sake of engagement; yet rich enough to record SAP dependencies, system requirements and so forth.
An answer in my opinion is [here|https://ecohub.sdn.sap.com/irj/ecohub/solutions/control2007].  (Honest account - I work for Nimbus.  But you don't have to take my word for it.  Check out our case studies if you like. This approach is being adopted by several strategic SAP accounts several of which are listed [here|https://ecohub.sdn.sap.com/irj/ecohub/solutions/control2007]).
What might partly address your requirement is the [APQC Process Classification Framework|http://www.apqc.org/portal/apqc/site/?path=/research/pcf/index.html] . We took this framework as a starting point for building a model company process map. I cannot claim that it is Retail specific, but we have quite a few retail customers who have adopted Control 2007 and also several supply chain optimization projects which we have delivered.
If this is of interest - we provide a web hosted demonstration environment where you can explore the APQC process content I mentioned above. You can contact me through [SAP EcoHub|https://ecohub.sdn.sap.com/irj/ecohub/solutions/control2007] for more details
    Kind regards,  Nigel
