SAP Demo content

Hi BW Gurus,
I working on SAP Demo content and i want to load data from the csv files which stores in the Application server. I didnt find the csv files the home directory to load. Can you please forward all the demo content csv files to my id if u are having it to my mail id [email protected]
Please help me i need to give the demo to the client for all the application areas which are there in the demo content
I will assign points for u.

I know Voodi. I managed to resolve the issue by doing the following:
1. Created an SAPDEMO system manually
2. Re installed the Demo content cube
3. Followed note: 370397 and created content for the cube 0D_DECU
4. Created infopackage manually and uploaded data (Not sure why the system did not create the IP while activating.

Help! I need to populate BW demo content.

Hi all.
I've just activated the BI demo-content for ITeLO scenario. Do you know If there's an easy way to populate the InfoCubes?

Installing the demo content (from the Business Content) is also supposed to kick off the loads. However, in my experience I had to install the content twice to get this to happen -- once in background so the installation of the objects wouldn't time out, and a second time in the foreground which was the only way to get the loads to kick off.
Try that. Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll go back and try to dig up some notes that I had on the subject of installing demo content with data.
**EDIT: Here is a good note to start with about demo data [370397|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/370397]. If you perform a search for "demo content data" you will get lots of relevant notes that give insights into how demo data is supposed to work (but often doesn't).

Forms Builder / SAP Demo News / Where is the Savepath specified?

Hi there,
i just want to check out how the forms Builder work and if i can use it for some little things in our Portal.. so i wanna try the SAP Demo News....
So i think i check how it works.. but i have only one question.. where in the Forms Builder in SAP Demo News is specified where the news are saved when i write one?
So the Standart Path is: \documents\News
So what is if i want to change the path to: \Documents\xyz
Where in the Form i have to specifie this?

You can pass the path as parameter (post/path=) to the url.
For example
http://server/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.xmlformedit?XMLFormID=new_form&post/path=/documents/UserMessages
Also change the configuration of km folder to your new folder. This will alow to edit the news directly from km folder.
Go to System administration -> System configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Form Based Publishing -> forms availability.
Creat an id with the following properties - the folder path within which the form has to appear for e.g., /documents/News and under the Forms to Include - Mention the XML forms to be included.

NewsExlplorer shows several links like "SAP demo news", "New FAQ's" etc.???

I created a XmlForm to edit News but the problem is that when i set it to News Explorer, it by default shows several links like New Sap demo news, New FAQ's link. Is it possible to show only one special link, how can i delete the other links?

Please go to Content Management> Form Based Publishing> Forms Availability--> Folder Settings
Here create new or duplicate existing ones .
Folder Path --> Give the path to your folder
Forms to Exclude --> SAP_APP_* (if u don't want std forms)
Forms to include ---> Give the ID of your form, it can be CSV's also

SHINE demo content

Good day,
Ever since upgrading to SPS7 and now SPS8 my SHINE demo content has been broken. Specifically the table references have been incorrect, for example Analytic view AN_PURCHASE_COMMON_CURRENCY references table SAP_HANA_DEMO.sap.hana.democontent.emp.data::EPM.MD.Products instead of SAP_HANA_DEMO.sap.hana.democontent.emp.data::EPM.MasterData.Products.
The download for the updated Demo content doesn't appear to have anything to update these tables..........
And because the tables are renamed most of the objects in the democontent package have errors.
Has anyone else had this problem? And suggestions to resolve it?

Hi guys,
I discovered that the associated EPM.hdbdd file was not activated to recreate these tables because of a problem with _SYS_RT. Eventhough I've updated to SPS8 my _SYS_RT schema version is 1, so calling the "migrate_SYS_RT_25to27.py" returns the following:
- _SYS_RT schema version 1.00 1 differs from expected 1.00 25 => no schema version update at the end of migration
The further along I get an error:
- hdbcli.dbapi.Error: (259, 'invalid table name: Could not find table/view CDS_STRUCTURE in schema _SYS_RT
I'm hoping that this can be resolved and can avoid a complete reinstall.
Any assistance is most welcome and appreciated.

What i meant was if yu have R/3 sys and u knwo the type of data to be loaded, you can connect and try.

did u try the other options i gave?
look at some more options like:
You may log on your bi system, and go to se38, excute program "RSO_BC_FILES_IN_BDS" and then input the demo infocube name which you have activated in the system, in process mode, choose " start bdn" and then ,in the next screen, you check the file and click the download button, and you may get the data for this infocube.

Demo Content FI for consolidation system

Hi experts,
we need to setup a demo-system for the consolidation. Therefore demo-content is needed, including data for the FI (general ledger). Sector doesn't matter.
Do you have any idea where we can get this demo-content?

We have a Enterprise Portal 6.0 in which it does not appear the option SAP Demo News. From which patch level is available that option? On the contrary it shows the News option, that when pressing on this, produces the following error:

The error, you are getting is: <b>No name or formula type has been put at disposal in the string of query. Syntax: XMLFormID=anyValidFormName</b>. As of my knowledge, someone might have been deleted the content ( Under Cont. Admin -> KM Content -> root -> etc). Please check the folder, there might be some problem with xml forms.

Go to NWA>Configuration>Infrastructure>Java System Properties, Click on the Applications tab and search tc~pi~tools~dirmig~wd & Start Application as shown in below screenshot.

Read SAP table content through VBA why Chinese characters display as '#'

Hi ,
I meet a problem . I want to get sap table content through RFC in excel VBA. now i have solve it . It can got table content . when i change a new system , it can get table content ,but chinese characters display as '#' ( it works well in sap 4.6c Chinese characters can display , when upgrate to ecc 6.0 it can't works well )
some VBA code as below :

Hi Chirs,
I am facing the same problem but i am using c sharp and this is a windows application.
I tried to change the CodePage attribute by simply setting connection.codepage = "8040";
But i get an exception.
attempted to read or write protected memory.
I cant seem to change this. What should i do. Also do we have to set this at the point of connecting to the Sap system or when i'm calling the RFC. I tried both instances but none worked. Could you please help me out.
i am using VS 2008.

Regarding Invoice No 1003 in SAP Demo Database

In sap Demo Database SBODemo_US, for Invoice no 1003,
for an item A00006 Price is given as 786.60. Choose Goto Menu and further choose Gross Profit, it displays the base price and Sales Price(770.87). How can the price be different at two places?
If it is how it is calculated?

Problem while installing SAP Business Content - Query

Hi SAP BI experts,
I am trying to install standard SAP BI contents, but getting following error while installing following queries.
1. Warehouse Stock Analytics - Inventory Turnover - 0IC_C03_Q0024
2. Inventory Turnover - 0IC_C03_Q0017
I am getting the following error while simulating install:
1. Error when activating element 4WXUV5NRUZR0GYY1WYB22EUIA / Message no. R9118
2. Object directory entry R3TR ELEM COAFSEIKGP51QJYSMX9FCEI9E does not exist / Message no. TK753 (for Calender Day)
Please share your inputs.

Try to install the following objects with the option 'DataFlow Before and Afterwards ' under the grouping option .
This will collect all the necesary objects that are required for its activation .
After the necesary objects have been collected , tick mark the necessary objects then choose install .

is there any documnets that explain about sap bi contents? i dont want technical information, i know it, instaling bi content and activing it , but its my problem, for example thik i want a report about vendor debit , but i dont know which infoprovider help me, how can i search for this type of problems.

Hi, when your installing inforovideror any object from BI content you should know the infoprovider belongs to which component eg: purchasing you should know the targets to install from bi content. you get many document related to purchasing in scn:
