SAP E-Commerce for mySAP CRM / mySAP ERP from struts to Visual Composer?
Actually, "Internet Sales" as known by most of the people, is based on STRUTS (from Apache) that it's not so much common in SAP NetWeaver based solutions.
Anybody knows if SAP E-Commerce will be released also based on Visual Composer or Web Dynpro?

Hi,
Is there any documentation which gives a step by step configuration for the SAP E-commerce for mySAP ERP. I am looking for some thing similar to the C14 Best practices document which give the detailed configurations (including XCM ) for CRM E - Commerce.
Or it would be great if some one can explain the steps needed for configuring the web application of SAP ERP E - commerce.
Thank you

Upgrading ISA 4.0 to "SAP E-Commerce for mySAP ERP"
We currently have a Internet Sales (R/3 edition) environment connected to a R/3 4.6C backend. We are upgrading the backend to mySAP ERP 2005. This has necessitated an upgrade of the Internet Sales environmet, too.
Has anyone does this or had any experience with the ISA side of this upgrade?
Currently the ISA 4.0 environment is running on a NW2004 SR1 framework with a SAP Web AS JAVA 6.40 (J2EE 6.40, too).
I know after this upgrade is completed, my environment will change to the following...(I think)
Internet Sales (R/3 Edition) will become "SAP E-Commerce for mySAP ERP"
NW2004 will become NW2004s SR1
J2EE 6.40 will become J2EE 7.00
I guess I'm looking for anyone who has been through this type of upgrade and how best to tackle it (aside from looking at the upgrade guides).
What to watch for? What to double-check? Anything noteworthy would be of value to me.
Should I even bother running through the upgrade process or should I just flatten the environment and start over with installation media?? Is that path easier and less of a pain?
I'm open for any feedback or thoughts.....
Thank you,

SAP E-commerce for ERP with SAP Retail back-end
Hi,
does anyone implemeted an E-commerce solution with a SAP Retail backend system?
Our dubt is if durig order entry E-commerce application consider the product variant grid (like in VA01) or not.
We found that this function is supported with an AFS back-end, but we would like to know if it is available also with a retail system.
Thank you very much for your help.Hi,
while we have quite a few implementatinos with E-Commerce and SAP Retail backend, the specific grid functionality you have seen in AFS is not supported with Retail backend. Hence, most customers enhance the standard product offering at that point, catering for e.g. drop down list boxes with style/color/size selection. In case you're only selling "normal" retail products (individual SKUs), the standard product works fine.
Thanks

SAP E COMMERCE FOR ERP : Maintaining catalog variants in multiple languages
Hi All,
I have created a product catalog with 2 variants, one for english and other for russian, have maintained the texts in corresponding langiages in the layout area.
I created a webshop and used the catalog variant for russian, but still when the end user( his correspondence lang is maintained as russian) logs in to b2b he sees the product descriptions only in english.
In the shopadmin , webshop properties -> General Information tab, there is a field called "Language". When i maintain this as "RU" the shop itself is not displayed to the end user.
Please let me know what is the procedure to display the products in multiple languages!!! I must be missing something.
Thanks for help!
LishaI've to ask you in an other way...
What you see when you call this link:
http://<server>:<port>/contextroot/b2b/init.do?language=ru
And what you see when you call:
http://<server>:<port>/contextroot/b2b/init.do?language=en
You say en is working, but what you see by the RU-link?? Any error or something?
I think your problem is this:
--> Now when I login to my B2B, then I am unable to see this russian shop, but the other shop that I maintained for "Language" as EN, I can see that shop.
You want to login and then want to see the 2 variants? But you've to call the apps only with http://<server>:<port>/contextroot/b2b/init.do?language=en or http://<server>:<port>/contextroot/b2b/init.do?language=ru
then it should work with 2 languages?
If it's not working, there is an error message?
The language RU is installed on your SAP?
I'm configurating this for you on my testsystem now. Please contact me at fan @ sfsservices.biz to receive the logindatas. -
Correct process for updating CRM Z fields from ERP Z field.
I currently have an accounts block with a field (Region) which has a drop-down list box containing values, plus another field containing the description/name of the region. Based on other fields within this same block I need to replace the Region and its description with a single value which should be sourced from an ERP Z table, or joined Z tables if I include the description as well.
I believe that I know how to change the attributes of the Region field using the AET, although I can't see anything which displays or allows me to displable the drop-down list of values, although I'm sure I've seen a video demonstrating the AET being used to create a list of lookup values.
Anyway, what I need to do is to change the Region field, making it and its description field Read-only, remove the list of values option so there's no drop-down list box against the Region field, and also update this field from an ERP Z field. Can this all be done using either the AET or EEWB, or is there some code required to be manually entered, and if so, what transactions need to be used to do this?.
Any help would be much appreciated.
JasonMIcha,
With regards to youe 9 steps that gave.
I am looking at component BP_ADDR and view BP_ADDR/StandardAddress. However, there are no enhancements shown when I click on the [Enhance Component] button. So I assume that I need to create an enhancement in order to change the code. Does this enhancement create am implementation or does it create replacement code?. The reason for asking this is that the code shown against the View_controller->Content->Content_Nodes->STANDARDADDRESS->Attributes->STRUCT.REGION->GET_V_REGION method is as follows::
METHOD GET_V_REGION.
DATA:
lv_fieldname TYPE name_komp,
lt_fieldname_additional TYPE crmt_attr_name_tab.
lv_fieldname = 'COUNTRY'. "#EC NOTEXT
INSERT lv_fieldname INTO TABLE lt_fieldname_additional.
lv_fieldname = 'COUNTRY_TEXT'. "#EC NOTEXT
INSERT lv_fieldname INTO TABLE lt_fieldname_additional.
lv_fieldname = 'REGION_TEXT'. "#EC NOTEXT
INSERT lv_fieldname INTO TABLE lt_fieldname_additional.
CALL METHOD cl_crm_uiu_bp_cust_get=>GET_VHELP_FOR_REGION_VATTR
EXPORTING
iv_index = iv_index
it_fieldname_additional = lt_fieldname_additional
RECEIVING
rv_valuehelp_descriptor = rv_valuehelp_descriptor
EXCEPTIONS
OTHERS = 0.
ENDMETHOD.
The above call gets the value helps and if I replace this code how can I also ensure that the value-help pull down icon does not appear next to the Region field, as all I'm attempting to do here is replace the code. In other words where do I update the screen to say that this field is no longer a value help field?. I wondered if this code actuallypoints the pull-down icon next to the Region field, although I suspect all it does is physically display the list of values and allows you to select one.
So, I need to determine how I can create an enhancement. I've just been trying different things in the BSP_WD_CMPWB tranx but have not found out yet how this is achieved, although I think this is achieved via the creation of a new View set, but am not 100% sure.

E-Commerce for mySAP ERP: Problem with java source code
Hello everybody,
we try to implement web shops on the basis of ECO for ERP 5.0. The shop is running fine and we want to start with some extensions in java classes and web UI with NWDI 2004s.
We created a new track and our own application as described in "Development And Extension Guide". We need to extend some of the original java classes for the b2b scenario and of course the user interface.
We got the information from SAP, that the original java classes are not intended
to be modified by customers and therefore it is not intended to create a project with NWDI that contains that source code. But we should be able to create own DCs and copy the source code into it and then modify them on own risk.
We tried to do that, but always got errors.
Due to customer requirements we have to make some modifications otherwise we can not use this solution.
If there is anybody who has already some experience with this topic we
would be very glad to get some hints.
Kind Regards
HelmutHello Raju,
I am sorry, but I am no technical consultant, but I am have to change
the already installed application for our customers.
Nethertheless I try to give you some information I have. I had a look at SAP note 883948 you mentioned. The software components which are listed under XECO are the software components which contain the E-Commerce Application. You also find them in the "Development and Extension Guide".
There are some guides under http://service.sap.com/instguides -> mySAP Business Suite Solutions -> mySAP ERP -> mySAP ERP 2005 -> Installation. In the document "SAP E-Commerce for mySAP ERP: Business Scenario Configuration Guide" there is a table of the needed components on a high level.
From the view of the application you need the E-Commerce application itself, the TREX for searching in the product catalog, the IPC if you want to have price calculation in the shop or configuration of products with optional components.
Hope this helps a bit
Kind Regards

Where can I find the documentation for installation of E-Commerece for ERP? We just upgraded to ECC 6.0 and was looking for a solution to move away from the old "Online Store" & ITS. We currently use this old way for B2B & B2C transactions.
I heard that it should be packed w/ ECC 6.0.
I have a couple other questions: is there a specific stack that it is located in? The current stack we have installed is the ABAP stack and not the Java stack because we ran into issues getting it installed.
Is there any new coding that would need to be done to port what we've done with the online store over into E-commerce for ERP?
What resources are needed to install, migrate and setup the new E-commerce for ERP?

Better late than never Good news is, you can leverage all of the new features and easily maintainable application. Bad news is, there is no upgrade path. It will be a totally new implementation as far as the E-Commerce side is concerned.
I heard that it should be packed w/ ECC 6.0.
Can you be more clear.

Java stack is mandatory for E-Commerce for ERP and you should be installing the component XECO See if this note gives some tips on the Java installation. For more details, please open a separate thread. I can provide help if you are more specific.

Is there any new coding that would need to be done to port what we've done with the online store over into E-commerce for ERP?
SAP E-Commerce for ERP is a Java Web application and runs in a J2EE compliant Java application server (read as Java stack).The Online store was totally ITS and any changes you have made in them can not be reused in the E-Commerce application.
What resources are needed to install, migrate and setup the new E-commerce for ERP?
[Consulting team |http://www.parxlns.com/index.php~page=Services&sub=ProjectEngagement.html]consisting of
SD functional with SAP E-Commerce skills,
E-Commerce technical (one who has Java development skills),
E-Commerce technical (ABAP skills)
It will be great if the incumbent technical consultants know about Online Store and ITS (Flow logic etc). to understand the custom enhancements to the store.# Business Analyst - to migrate / redesign the catalog and the strore front.
Does it have a restriction on Browser it supports? I know w/ the integrated ITS it only supports IE & Firefox.

SAP E-Commerce 5.0 for R/3 walkthrough anyone?
Where can I find a document that describes the installation of the E-commerce for R/3. I do find those two CDs but that wouldn't be enough to install it. in the Netweaver link under the
Installations and Upgrades->SAP Application Components->SAP E-COMMERCE FOR SAP R/3->SAP E-COMMERCE 5.0 FOR SAP R/3
...I find the following DVD "BS2005 SR3 Installation Master Windows Server" which I guess is the sapinst to use. Looking in the ERP master guide it says that you should install XECO to get it all to work. Is that the case and if so, where do I find it on that Master install DVD?
My question really is. How do I get 'SAP E-Commerce 5.0 for R/3' on my server?
Regards,
DanielHI,
I can obtain detailed description of product on russian after i installed SAP E-commerce for SAP ERP version 7.0 instead of version 5.0.

Hi all,
A client found in a SAP Portal, information about pre-configured solution ECC E-Commerce, and want the implement.
The problems:
1-The client does NOT want to implement CRM, just wants to deploy preconfigured E-Commerce. Is possible?
2-The client already installed SAP ECC 6.0, the two products (E-Commerce and ECC) can work together?
3-What is the staffing and time to implement this solution?
