SAP E-Recruiting -- Application Groups

I delete application groups, no. What happen, to candidate applications that I assign to application group.  I search SAP Help and this forum,no. I see no answer.

Hi Vishal,
It is not possible to delete the Application Group if any open applications exists.
In case if you try deleting the Application Group for which some candidates have applied already, then you will receive a message saying that "Cannot be deleted since open applications exist".
We can delete them only when there are no open applications exists for that Application group.

  • E-Recruiting - Application Group for internal candidates

    Hello,
has anybody an idea how to assign internal candidates to an application group within the SAP E-Recruiting 603? This application group should only exist in the background and should not been publicated. So I guess a requisition won´t be helpful in that case.
If you´ll setup a new application group and start a publication, this group is only available for external candidates for the Recruiter via "Reference Code Search". It seems that it´s not possible to assign internal candidates.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
Application groups are only assigned to external candidates.
If you want to enable initial applications also for employees (internal candidates) this was designed as follows:
If an internal candidate releases his/her profile and maintains there data in the preferences tab he/she shows that they are interested in a new position and the direction this job should be like.

  • E-recruiting -Delete tabs for closed application groups (Menu Applications)

    Hi gurus,
I want to delete the application group tabs from the menu "Applications" in e-recruiting.
The applications are stored on different tab pages. A tab page contains all applications that are based on actual job postings
(which are based on requisitions). In addition, a tab page also exists for unsolicited applications (applications that are assigned to an application group) for each application group. I would like to know who I can delete these tabs when an application group is closed. Currently, I have many tabs created without aplications inside and I would like to deleted and keep only the opened application groups. All the applications status are "rejected" or "hired" for each application group. There's no one "in process". Any idea how can I delete these tabs?
    Thanks in advance,
    Juanjo Garcin.

I'm not aware of any relationship link built in eRC that would allow for a search to the candidates' 'My Applications' (key word...application) or 'Favorites' for expired or closed postings.  Think of when you save a URL in your web browser favorites and the site is no longer valid. Your browser doesn't know it until it searches for the address in the URL you saved  that doesn't exist.
    I hope this is helpful.

  • E-recruiting - Assignment to Application Groups

    Hi,
When an external application is entered and assigned to an application group the object 'application' is created. If an applicant is subsequently assigned to another application group this is visible from Candidate Selection > Assignments.
However, if I look under 'Applications' from the Application Management area of the recruiter start page, the application does not appear against the application group to which it has just been assigned.
Does anyone know if this is standard - i.e. is the application only visible against the application group is was created against?
    thanks in advance
    Jim

    Hello Jim,
    this is standard.
    for some background:
When creating an application the application gets an own recruiting team. All recruiting team members of an requisition or application group are copied to the application (you can see this in HRP5131).
When you create another assignment (candidacy) for the same application this team is not changed and as the"Applications" list only shows all applications in which recruiting team you are, you only see the application for the origiginal application group.
Even if you change the recruting team of a requsition / application group the new assigned member won't see the applications which were entered earlier. If you are using release 600 there is a checkbox to write the rec team change also to the applications so the new member can see the applications. For 300 there is no such option at least to sp13 - not sure if they made it in the later packs.
    Best regards

  • What ismeant by unsolicited application groups in HR of SAP.

what is unsolicited application group , when will be it use?

    Hi,
Internal applicants are those employed by the company on the date that the job application is received. External applicants are those not employed by the company on this date. This latter grouping can therefore also include former employees of the company.
The procedure for entering data is different for internal and external applicants. You have to manually enter all required data on external applicants. When dealing with internal applicants, however, you can import data such as name and address simply by specifying the candidate's personnel number. You can overwrite this data, if necessary.
Both internal and external applicants can submit unsolicited applications, or apply in response to an advertisement. You assign applicants who file an unsolicited application to an unsolicited application group during initial data entry. An unsolicited application group is a user-definable criterion for use in structuring unsolicited applications. You might, for example, want to structure unsolicited applicants by the activity for which they have applied (salaried employee in Sales and Distribution, for example, or salaried employee in Human Resources).
    Hope this solves ur dought,
    Reward if helpful,

  • Applicationwizard in SAP e-Recruiting

    Dear guru's
Does the SAP e-Recruiting module provide the flexibility to make use of different customized applicationwizards for different applications or different targetgroups?
If so. It would be very helpfull if someone is able to point out the customizing steps in which this customizing is done.
    Kind regards,
    L.Tielen

    Hello Loek,
this is possible using web dynpro configuration and the definition of road maps via the IMG (e-rec -> technical settings).
Furthermore you have to implement BAdI: "Specify Application Configuration for Application Wizard". This BAdI implementation is used to switch the application wizard to the correct configuration according to your needs (e.g. by target group).

    Hi Ridzuan,
as the named support packages are already years old is your question actually about e-recruiting 600 or do you mean the support packages for an enhancement package (like EhP 3 or EhP 4) for the e-recruiting application.

  • Web Dynpro ABAP in SAP E-Recruiting

    Hi,
We just imported SP8 for our SAP E-Recruiting 6.0. SP8 offers Web Dynpro ABAP as candidate UI. One question we have is how WD pages incorporated for recruiters who still use BSP pages. For example, when a recruiter logs into E-Recruiting and finds a specific candidate, he/she can click on "Candidate Profile" to get to that candidate's pages. In BSP technology, recruiter actually uses exactly the same pages that candidate uses for Work Experience, Education, etc.. With candidate UI using WD technology, does recruiter use the same WD pages when displaying candidate profile information? I have been searching all the possible places, such as IMG, SICF, in order find a spot so that I can set the switch on, but so far unsuccessful.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Li

    Hi Li ,
At best of my understanding in WD ABAP , its possible to make one WebDynpro page serving same purpose ( showing profile deatils  ) visible for manty( Candidate , as well as Recruiter ) ....
I would like to know what exactly you want from web Dynpro ..then I will be in better position to tell you.
    FYI ...
    1) Web Dynpro ABAP
As the name suggests Web Dynpro for ABAP uses exactly the same meta model as its cousin Web Dynpro for Java. A Web Dynpro component, a Web Dynpro view, a Web Dynpro model, a Web Dynpro controller have the same semantics both for ABAP and Java. The main difference is the designtime environment, the development infrastructure and the runtime environment.
The designtime environment is properly embedded in the ABAP Workbench where Web Dynpro artifacts are simply a new category like BSP applications or classical dynpro based applications before. Also no surprises regarding the development infrastructure. The correction and transport system keeps track on all changes that are done, versions them and helps to propagate the Web Dynpro application from development to production like you would do with ordinary BSP or dynpro-based applications.
Last not least the execution platform is the ABAP server that produces application content ready to be integrated in the NetWeaver Portal seamlessly. Features like portal eventing can be used between applications written in ABAP or applications developed with Java.
2 ) I can give you links that can help you a lot.
First of all start doing SAP SDN tutorials .
Create some compenents with BAPI , Component usage and ALV .

Try to Download demo tutorials from SDN library & Try to search WebDynpro ABAP WebLogs .
Wait not just that SAP has provided you with ample demo example of WD ABAP already bundled with SAP . Just Try out Components starting with WDR . I can tell you few like WDR_TEST_EVENTS ( It shows how every UI elments to use )
    See packages like SWDP_DEMO , SALV_WD_DEMO

  • Integration of SAP e-Recruiting 6.0 in Enterprise Portal 7

    Hi,
I'm trying to integrate e-Recruiting functionalities into our Portal.
    The current situation:
SAP e-Recruiting 6.0 is set up (integrated on ECC 6.0), and works fine when using the BSP-front-end.
De ESS/MSS Business Packages are installed on the portal.
The system alias for e-recruiting is created (and tested).
My test user has the ESS Portal role, and the role "SAP_RCF_INTERNAL_CANDIDATE" in the backend system.
    The problem:
When I log in with my test user, and go to "ESS" => "Career and Job". I have several options under "Job", being:
       - Applications
       - Apply Directly
       - Favorites
       - Search for Jobs
All of these are related/connected to the e-recruiting module. All of these functionalities work fine, when log in to the e-recruiting BSP's directly. But when I click on them via the Portal, I get the message "An internal error occurred. Please try again later."
When I go to transaction "SLG1" for a detailed error log, I see "The system accesses Customizing table T77RCF_sp_ID using parameters [0000]. There are no entries in the table for this."
When I use the BSP-pages, I can set the parameter RCFSPID via a parameter in the URL (e.g. "application.do?BspClient=800&BspLanguage=EN&rcfSpId=0001"). And via this parameter, the system knows which recruiting-role I have (e.g. 0001 = Internal candidate and 0002 = External candidate). But this value is not transmitted to the BSP pages when I access them via the Portal.
What I tried was editing the iview "Career and Job Services". I set the value "Parameters forwarded to BSP" to "rcfspid=0001". But that was not the solution.
    So finally my question:
Where do you set this parameter?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Other applications are fine (although the Portal is not 100% set up yet). I think this is related to the link between the portal and the e-recruiting module.
    More details:
    Serious error; see log

  • Data Conversion in SAP E-Recruiting.

    Hi SAP E-Recruiters,
Our client is using a Legacy application for recruiting candidates where it has 5000 candidates data base (internal and external candidates' applications).
Now they are asking for movement of this whole data to the newly implementing SAP E-recruiting system. We are exploring various data conversion methods and found that BDC, LSMW will not work for E-recruiting data upload as we have every thing in BSP/Web Dynpro pages here.
We need your help in finding a solution for moving this data from legacy to SAP E-Recruiting. Pls do the needful.
    Thanks,
    Sudheer

    Sudheer,
So far there are no SAP delivered migration methods or BAPI's available conversion of candidates/applications, as you have already specified BDC's wouldnot work. Internal candidates always can be brought over in eRecruitment with integration techniques between PA and eRecruit depending upon the landscape.
However, for external candidates custom conversion programs have to be written by making use of methods/function modules that are used in BSP/WebDynpro.

  • E-Recruitment Applications in Websphere Portal

    Hi,
We have a requirement wherein we need to have E recruitmtnt applications in IBM Websphere Portal.I have gone through few documents and i am not clear how to move forward.Could anyone suggest some best way to achieve this.
1.If we do Integration between SAP Portal and IBM websphere, can we get E Recruitment applications in Websphere Portal. If this is the way what might be the issues we are gong to face moving forward.(As suggested through SAP iView Integration Portlet i guess)
2.As E recruitment applications we are using is completely based on ABAP Webdynpro,is it possible to display these applications directly from ECC to IBM Websphere Portal.(As every WDA is associated with an URL,  can we make use of this URL in Websphere)
3.Again E recruitment Portal content needs SAP Portal because some of the functions of the roles ( like Recruiter iview , Manager Iview etc are delivered as Portal Content). Can we achieve all these without SAP Portal.
I would be great if someone suggest me the right way.

  • SAP e-Recruiting - WebDynPro - Flexibilization

    Hi,
I want to configure a custom roadmap for the WebDynPro-based Candidate Portal. I also want my Candidate Portal to refer to a custom build Search screen, instead of the SAP Standard search screen.
I have maintained the follwing customizing in the IMG:
SAP E-Recruiting - Technical Settings - User Interfaces - Web DynPro ABAP - Flexibilization - Backend
In the section "Start Pages" I have defined:
a structuring element for first level called "Employment Opportunities".
a structuring element for second level called "Job Search". This is referring to my custom made search screen.
I also defined a new start page for external candidates (0001) with configuration ID Z_WDCONF_EXT_CAND. The first and second level are the same as in SAP Standard, except that it refers to the custom made "Job Search" instead of the SAP Standard one.
In the section "RoadMap Pattern" I have defined:
"Create Roadmap Pattern": For the startpage of the external candidate, also with configuration ID Z_WDCONF_EXT_CAND I customized that some of the steps are in different sequence ("Attachments" should be the second step).
My question is: how do you call this configuration? I guess you need to specify somewhere that configuration ID Z_WDCONF_EXT_CAND should be used. I tried to add it as an URL-parameter(&sap-wd-configId=Z_WDCONF_EXT_CAND), but that didn't do the trick. Also, the BaDI  HRRCF00_DETERMINE_APPL_CONFIG is only relevant voor the Application Wizard, not for the startpage of the external candidate.
Thanks for the help. Points will be awarded!

    Dries,
Please check - WDA Component/Application Configuration for Logo - HRRCF_C_STARTPAGE
You can find the way to call your URL.

  • Recruiter page in SAP e-Recruiting

    Hi,
We have been live with SAP e-Recruiting 6.0 for about 3 years. We have been using BSP applications so far. We have a standalone e-Recruiting system with a ECC6.0 EHP4 backend. We are in the process of upgrading to EHP5, and want to switch to WebDynpro. I have activated all the Services from SICF, and I can get the internal and external candidation application to work. However, I cannot get the recruiter page to work.  Actually, I dont see any service that shows the recruiter start page.  The requisition list comes up empty.  However, I can get the requisition maintenance screen to work.
    Albert

    Hello Albert,
the short answer: you cannot find a web dynpro startpage for the recruiter as there is not really one like for the candidate.
I assume you are currently on E-Recruiting 6.0 without any enhancement package. The upgrade from this release to EhP 4 or 5 is quite a big task as there are a lot of changes in technology, data model and best practises.
EhP 5 for e-Recruiting requires the use of SAP Portal (or NetWeaver Business Client) for recruiter and recruiting admin. So you have to link the eRec system to the portal and have to deploy the business packages (BP for Common Parts 1.51, BP for Recruiter 1.51, BP for Recruiting Administrator 1.51). Within the recruiter portal role there is the recruiter entry page with the work sets for the recruiter. This application is based on the POWL standard component.
For the upgrade you have to activate the business functions for eRec EhP 5 on the eRec system:
    HCM_ERC_CI_1
    HCM_ERC_SES_1
    HCM_ERC_CI_2
    HCM_ERC_CI_3
    HCM_ERC_CI_4
This brings two issues. The business function activation cannot be reversed and as soon as you activated the one which enables the web dynpro ui for the recruiter, the BSP ui is no longer supported. So you should clone the eRec system to test the upgrade impacts and steps. Otherwise you would loose your maintenance landscape. Another issue is the changed TREX interface with buiness function HCM_ERC_SES_1 which requires a new TREX installation and connection setup.
When you have done this you should be able to access the recruiter entry screen. If you are using the standard eRec role for recruiter (id 0007) you should find requisitions under "Open requisitions of Team" (the "My open Requisitions" work set is empty as no requisition has a lead recruiter flag yet). A hint here: work sets are not refreshing automatically and the refresh link is only refreshing the active work set, NOT ALL!
Unfortunately then the real work starts. Some highlights you will face:
    - ALE implementation has changed and needs to be reconfigured
    - There is no longer a startpage for the decision maker and requisition requester. These functions are only supported by Manager Self Serves. The requisition request is based on HCM Processes and Forms.
    - The correspondence is only supporting the letter section option. If you used the older option to change letters it is no longer working. Even if you use the letter section option the correspondences will probably need adaption as the control in the UI changed which effects the behaviour in the smartforms
    - There are new fields in the requisition data model which are partly even required (e.g. Lead Recruiter flag). There is no SAP report to set this information for active requisitions. So this has to be done manually ever in frontend or database. And we lost some fields in some screens.
So you will have to plan some time and ressources for the upgrade.
    Kind Regards

  • Application Group URL generation - config steps required

    Hi
We have ECC6 and using Erecruitment release 603.
I am seeking guidance on how to generate application group URLs ie the configurations steps required in order for the URL to be generated.
    many thanks
    Julie

    Hello Julie,
basically the generation of URLs for application groups does not need any special configuration. It simply works without any settings. Only configuration which might effect the generation is the general requirement that the full qualified domain name must be set in system parameter icm/host_name_full for every e-rec server. Furthermore you can use table HTTPURLLOC to overwrite e-rec generated URLs for replacing internal server names. But both should not influence the URL generation in general.
I referred to the reference code generation as this is (in sap standard) only possible for requisitions. The button for the generation is placed on view pinstDetails.bsp of BSP application hrrcf_pinst_mnt which is the detail view for publication maintenance in requisitions. The application group container sequence uses the view status.bsp of BSP application HRRCF_APPL_GRP. This view contains 3 fields reference code, status and the field to display the generated URL. If there is a button for the reference code generation or the view is completely different someone either included the wrong view in the container sequence or someone modified it.
So first step should be to check if you are on the correct unmodified view.
Could you please check if this and give a message about your result?
    Many Thanks
    Roman
