    Regards,

    Hello,
I run 'R3trans -x' command, but there was no problem - connection to database was working.
    Problem was following:
Before starting the sdt service on host, I set environment variables JAVA_HOME and LD_LIBRARY_PATH for sidadm. That's not neccessary and that was the problem. Without setting these variables it is working now.
    Thanks,
    Julia

  • Automatic creation of contract in SAP ECC from ESO

    Hello Experts,
We are installing SAP ESO 5.1, with integration package, linked to a SAP ERP 5.0 system.
With the out-of-the box integration package, it is possible to create an outline agreement (contract) from an ESO Master Agreement / Agreement by selecting Scripts -> Publish to ERP from the toolbar (this can only be done if the Master Agreement is in a "saved" state). This is a manual process.
My question is: is it possible to automatically execute this script by means of Workflow?
The goal would be for E-Sourcing to always create a contract in the SAP ECC backend system from a completed ESO Master Agreement. I believe this can be achieved by executing a script at the "saved" event?
I'll appreciate your feedback on this approach, or any other solutions you might have implemented with customers to reach a solution to a similar requirement.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Gilberto Gallardo

    Hi Gilberto
I would not suggest "Publish to ERP " to me made a post save script as contract managers/ buyers might "save" a draft version of the master agreement which might still need some validation. Also since a  word contract is not in place at this point in time, there might be changes later on which could make the situation rather messy.
In case you are going for approval workflows in phase definition of contract, you can use "Publish to ERP " as a postscript for workflow when contract finally is moved to executed phase but again would support Howie here that it should remain a manual process since a lot of validations would be required.
A lot depends on business on what they consider to be the culimination of CLM cycle. Few would like to start transactions through oultine agreement before actual contract is signed to speed up the process while many would like to wait for the actual signed document to be in place before starting transactional procurement.

    Edited by: Manjug77 on Oct 29, 2009 2:45 PM

    Hello Manjunath.
This looks like a configuration problem.
Please check if IP_NETWORK is set to the name of your network adapter and
if your IP_ADDRESS and IP_SUBNET are set to the correct values.
    Note:
    - IP_ADDRESS is a new IP address that is not used by any machine in the network.
    - IP_NETWORK is optional
If you still get the same error debug your db2mscs.exe-call:
See the answer from  Adam Wilson:
Can you run the following and check the output:
    db2mscs -f <path>\db2mscs.cfg -d <path>\debug.txt
I suspect you may see the following error in the debug.txt:
    Create_IP_Resource fnc_errcode 5045
If you see the fnc_errcode 5045
In that case, error 5045 which is a windows error, means
ERROR_CLUSTER_NETWORK_NOT_FOUND. This error is occuring because windows
couldn't find the "public network" as indicated by IP_NETWORK.
Windows couldn't find the MSCS network called "public network". The
IP_NETWORK parameter must be set to an MSCS Network., so running the
Cluster Admin GUI and expanding the Cluster Configuration->Network to
view all MSCS networks that were available and if "public network" was
    one of them.
However, the parameter IP_NETWORK is optional and you could be commented
out. In that case the first MSCS network detected by the system was used.

  • SAP 4.0 Integration to update SAP ECC 5.0 HR information

Hi, my project currently requires an existing HR module in SAP 4.0 to integrate and update HR information to a non HR system which is SAP ECC 5.0.
This HR information in SAP ECC 5.0 will then be used for DBM Clock in Clock out integration with HR . There is an existing tcode to run replication of HR which is 'PFAL'. I found that in SAP 4.0 and SAP ECC 5.0 there is a difference in the selection screen. I just wanted to know is it possible to use it to integrate between the 2 systems of different versions?.

    Hi,
Please check the note 147519 which mentions the limitation and maintenance strategy. According to the note SAPGui 6.20 is "upward compatible" with ECC 5.0 and ECC 6.0 and SAPGui 6.20 supported until 31/12/2010.
However, always recommended to use the latest patch and this is currently at 69.
    Cheers !!

    Hi Guna,
    maybe note [1083886|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1083886]?
One comment: For EHP2, please mind note [1052522|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1052522] and use an equivalent support package stack to your ECC 6.0 installation. EHP2/SPS02 as a minimum, higher even better.

  • SAP DMS - SAP ECC network traffic

    Hi all,
    I have the following situation:
The SAP ECC servers are hosted outside my company and we are planning to install a SAP DMS server.
We have 2 options: host the SAP DMS outside or install SAP DMS in our datacenter.
When the SAP user attaches or reads a file to/from SAP DMS, how is the network traffic ?
Is there any traffic fom SAP ECC to SAP DMS or the file goes to/from DMS from/to end-user ?
How SAP DMS impacts my WAN ?
    Best Regards,
    Leonardo.

Leonardo,  I have done some research /  trouble shooting and architectural changes to raise the upload / download speeds, there are several dependencies like Network, Application, hardware etc but to your question:
First of all, DMS is a core functionality of ECC and utilizes both ECC for execution and Content Servers (recommended for Obvious performance reasons) for Data Storage. For your case I recommend that you host Content Server at the Data Center (assuming you have no other option) and have a Cache Server installed Onsite. (This requires minimal maintenance). When the user uploads a file the traffic is high as the entire File needs to be transferred to the data center, on the other hand Cache server (if installed onsite) considerably reduces the retrieval time.
Again having said above there are several other parameters that could affect your upload / download speeds.
Hope you'll find this useful, let me know if you have further questions.
    regards

  • SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4 Compatible with MDSD 3.0?

    Hi Folks,
Is SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4 compatible with MDSD 3.0? I have read the documentation but its not clear for me if this would be possible.
It says that MDSD 3.0 is compatible with SAP ECC 6.0 EHP3, but i would like to know if compatible with EHP4.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Gilberto,
yes, this should work fine. We just have one client who did the upgrade and he has not experienced issues up to now - even he is still in testing phase.

  • SAP ECC 6.0 Update to EHP3: Wrong tp buffer format

    Dear Experts,
in order to update SAP ECC 6.0 to EHP3, i'm facing a problem at the IMPORT_PROPER Phase of the Update. Here is the message error:
The import checks of your system showed that you still use the old tp buffer format in your Transport Management System. Since the current queue contains packages with a name longer than 10 characters, tp needs a buffer with the new format to import the queue correctly.
Set the parameter NBUFFORM = 1 in the transport tool configuration in the Transport Management System (Transaction STMS) (See also the documentation of STMS). Then continue the import of the queue.
I have checked in the TP_DOMAIN_ECC.PFL file in D:\usr\sap\trans\bin path and it is per default as show below:
    TRANSDIR            =
    sap-ecc\sapmnt\trans
    ECC/DBHOST          = SAP-ECC
    ECC/DBNAME          = ECC
    ECC/DBTYPE          = mss
    ECC/NBUFFORM        = 1
    ECC/TP_VERSION      = 266
My question is: How to perform NBUFFORM = 1 with the STMS T-Code?
    Any ideas are welcomed.
Thank you very much in advance.

    Pascal.

    - logon to client 000 on your TMS domain controller system
    - start STMS
    - "Overview" - "Systems"
    - doubleclick on the domain controller system
    - press on "change"
    - select tab "transport tool"
    - check the parameters and save
    - then go back and select in the systems overview "SAP System" - "Update configuration"

  • Org management (integration with SAP ECC 6) and shopping cart approval

    Background:
We currently use EBP 3.0 - Classic Scenario.
Our current Organisational plan was manually created in EBP, and is not the same as the HR hierarchy in SAP ECC 6
Shopping cart approvals use the workflow WS10000276 u2013 Approval Single Level over Limit, which utilises the SLAPPROVER attribute. The user name assigned to the SLAPPROVER attribute does not have to be the manager of the user. To meet our Business requirements, a fairly flat structure was created at the time we implemented EBP 3.0. The approval level an approver is allowed to approve up to is controlled with the use of roles assigned to a user.  Each of the approval roles has an appropriate value set against the BBP_APPROVAL_LIMIT attribute under Personalisation.
    Moving onu2026
We are just about to move from EBP 3.0 to SRM 7.0 u2013 Classic Scenario - by carrying out a new installation.
Our Business requirement has changed, in that they want the approval of shopping carts to be carried out by the line manager, if that person can approve the value of the shopping cart. If not, for the approval to go up the HR hierarch until a manager with a suitable level of approval is found.
I believe it is possible to create the Organisational structure in SRM from the HR hierarchy in SAP ECC 6. I have tried to do this in our play/test system using - Integration Business Partner-Organizational Management, without much success as yet!
I have a few questions in this area:
    1.     Not all of the users in the SAP ECC 6 HR hierarchy will be SRM users. E.g. In the SAP
hierarchy there are 3 users u2013 User A, User B and User C. User B is the manager of User
A and User C is the manager of user B. In SRM only User A and User C are users. That
being the case, is it still possible to initially create the organisational in SRM from SAP ECC6?
    2.     If it is possible to create the organisational structure as described, then using Process
Controlled Workflow we could use the Shopping Cart BC Set One-step manager approval.
If we did this, what would be the best way to incorporate the approval limit of a manager?
Can this be simply achieved by setting the BBP_APPROVAL_LIMIT attribute in conjunction
with the One step manager approval?
We want to avoid having to use the SLAPPROVER attribute due to the high level of
                 maintenance we currently experience.
Thanks to anyone who can advise me.

    Hi everyone,
I had already installed SAP Development Sysem with the media "SAP ERP 6.00 EHP4 Ready SR1" (SAP Note 774615 - Support Package levels of ERP/ECC installations/upgrades).
Currently we are analyzing with funcitional consultants to install SAP Baseline Colombia v 1.603 over "SAP ERP 6.00 EHP4 Ready SR1" installation, is this scenario correct? Or which installation media should I use?
In SAP Note 1083533 - Installation of Enhancement Package 3 on SAP ERP 6.0, it states that "For Enhancement Package 3, you require the Support Packages of ERP 6.0 Stack 08" so the installation media that is more close to stack08 is "SAP ECC 600 Support Release 2", please confirme me if is this correct?

You need to use Solution Manager, create a task in the maintenance optimizer and get the correct packages.
Since your system is already on EHP4 (or EHP4-ready) you can forget about the notes of EHP3 and EHP2.
