SAP EHP1 FOR NetWeaver Mobile 7.1

Hi,
We plan to install a server for NetWeaver Mobile but wonder to install SAP EHP1 FOR NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 or SAP FOR NetWeaver Mobile 7.1. Any enhancement for the ehp1 package and limitation? Thanks,

Hi,
as Siva already mentioned - just to add the screen - if you enter service.sap.com/swdc and drill down to download the EHP support package for mobile, you get the following warning right at the top:
Important Note:
SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 contains changes mainly targeted for use by the mobile applications SAP Mobile Defense & Security 1.6 and SAP Mobile Direct Store Delivery 4.0. Therefore SAP recommends to install SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 only if you want to use one of the corresponding applications SAP Mobile Defense & Security 1.6 or SAP Mobile Direct Store Delivery 4.0.
Due to that, you should go with usual MI7.1 stack.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Oliver

  • EHP1 for Netweaver Mobile 7.1 available or not?

I am trying to do a install of Netweaver 7.1, and for that reason I would like to have the latest version available. According to the installation and media guides, there should be a Install Master and Kernel 7.11 available but I am unable to locate this in the software distribution center. I can find it for Netweaver PI 7.1, but not for Netweaver Mobile. Anyone who knows more about this?
I could of course install 7.1 and then the EHP1 as an upgrade, but I already installed SQL Server 2008 and NW 7.1 can not be installed directly on MSSQL 2008, so I thought it woudl be easier to just make one install and save a lot of time and extra steps.

I have to come back to this topic, because of a reply I got in another thread some time ago from Mr Stefan Wawrzinek:
"SAP NetWeaver Mobile Always Connected is supporting Stylesheets with NetWeaver 7.1 EHP 1."
My goal by installing Netweaver 7.1 Mobile is to test the "Always Connected" functionality with mobile devices. The tests I have done with Netweaver 7.0 are very disappointing. Either I get good performance but absolutely zero control over the look & feel (using parameter PieClient), or I get terrible performance but a good looking interface (stylesheets and javascript too heavy for mobile devices).
So it seems I will anyway have to wait for EHP1. But what is puzzling me is the fact that there is no Java application server in Netweaver Mobile 7.1. Does that mean that SAP now supports the parameter PieClient for mobile-compatible rendering of HTML also for ABAP WebDynpro applications? With NW 7.0, it was necessary to use Java WebDynpro to use the PieClient parameter.
    Any insight greatly appreciated!

  • Question about SAP Gateway to Netweaver Mobile 1.1

    Hi Gurus.
I am trying to implement SAP Gateway to Netweaver Mobile 1.1 (Sales Scenario) for the first time.
I have read the Master Guide and the Configuration Guide... but I still don't get if the Sales Applications for Hand Held have to be developed from scratch or if they come in the add-on.
Could you please point me to the light?
    thank you.
    David.

    If I were to buy
some CDs or if I decided to rip another of my DVDs
and put it on my iPod, could I use iTunes to do that
without updating to 1.1 or is it a catch 22?
There is ONLY ONE reason to have to update your iPod to 1.1 and that's to use Apple's new FM radio. 1.1 is not required for anything else. Everything else works fine, in iTunes and otherwise.
My iPod works fine right now and I just want to be
able to put more songs and movies on it using iTunes
without going to the 1.1 FW.
If you want your iPod to keep working, stay away from 1.1. You have been warned!
    I'm scared to even
synch my iPod right now after reading the horror
    stories posted in these forums....
Don't be so silly. If you're running 1.0, just get on and enjoy your fully functioning, happy, smiley, healthy iPod.
Let's not get hysterical shall we?

  • EHP1 for NetWeaver + EHP4 ?

    Hello,
Is it possible to install the EHP1 for NetWeaver 7.0 without installing the EHP4 for ERP ?
Because we have installed EHP3 on our ERP and we want to install now EHP1 for NetWeaver there.
    Regards
    Rainer

There is no option who says to keep the version. Its just the error like this:
ERROR: Unable to generate addon queue due to missing addons or support packages.
    Missing Support Package(s):
          (EA-HR)
          (FINBASIS)
          (SAP_APPL)
          (SAP_BS_FND)
          (SEM-BW)
          (WEBCUIF)
The Enhancement Package Stack does not fit to the current system.
SAINT I cannot use, because there is a message, that says I can only use the EHPI.
The only way to solve this, I must change the XML file, but since I created it on the marketplace, I cannot change it.
Info, as its written in the note:
"When Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 is installed on a NetWeaver system, the stack XML file for the SAP EHP Installer (SAPehpi) is not allowed to contain packages for ERP software components. Due to this technical limitation, the EHP4 packages for the ERP software components cannot be included via the stack XML file."
I cannot add the required EHP4 components to the XML-file? How should I solve that problem?

  • Migration of "CRONACLE for SAP solutions" to "SAP CPS for Netweaver"

    Hi,
We have standalone  Cronacle/CPS 6.02.  We are in the process of researching about migrating to  "SAP CPS for Netweaver"  like SAP CPS M33. We have the following questions.
1)Is a migration path available to migrate from "CRONACLE for SAP solutions" to "SAP CPS for Netweaver" ?.
2)What are the benefits of going to "SAP CPS for Netweaver" ?.
3)Is the migration can be done by ourselves or any SAP migration consultant is required?.
    Please advise.
    Thanks.
    Raj.

    Hi Laurence, Raj,
This question is very old and I had not seen it before.
To upgrade from CPS 6.0.2 or 7.0.4 to 8.0.0 (aka M33). I do not know if SAP consultancy offers anything for this, you want to check with them. SAP might refer you to Redwood, though.
As for the differences, where do I start ... ;-)
Actually, CPS 8 is a major platform shift. Version 6 and 7 were PL/SQL-based solutions, version 8 is Java-based. You have many more possibilities built-in, such as better XBP 3.0 support, web services, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP PI/XI control, ... the list could go on forever.
Some older platforms (very, very old) are no longer supported, afaik, but you get native z/OS (mainframe) platform agents, AS/400 agents ... the user interface is platform independent, so you can access it from any OS including, but not limited to, Windows, Unix, Linux, and Mac OS X. There is even an iPhone/iPad client.
BTW, I do not know how long version 6 and 7 are supported.
The platform shift means that you might have to use a PL/SQL API in version 8. I guess it depends on how much PL/SQL you use. If most of your jobs are SAP and OS jobs, you would not even need that.

  • SAP Bibliothek for NetWeaver 04

    Hi all,
do you have any idea if the pdf docs stored in this link:
    http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/Data/htm/english.htm
Have also similar docs been released for Netweaver 04 version?
    Latest version I found is R/3 4.6
    Thanks in advance,
    Loukas

    Hi,
PDF docu is not provided any longer that way.
Beginning from 6.20 you should install the CHM Windows docu DVD (Mat-Nos can be found in http://help.sap.com/ > NetWeaver). This so called HTMLHELPFile type of help appears in an extra viewer, which offers 'Printing of a section including all sub sections'. So if you have a PDF printer installed on your PC, you can print all sections you are interested in.

  • NWDI in SAP EHP1 for NW 7.3

    Hi All,
I am new to NWDI concept.
Can any one provide me the step by step process for NWDI in EHP1 for NW 7.3.
I am having the doc for 7.x but this not explains the process correctly.
When I do so it is asking for more configuration.
Please let me know the DOC start from SLD config.
    Regards
    R.Prakash

    Hi All,
Please let me know the steps I followed is right:
    1. http://<host>:50000/sld/ -> Set up the SLD and it started running.
2.http://<host>:50000/sld/fun -> Enabled the "CM services","NWDI using CMS" and NWDI using CM services - recommended","SLD" and "service Registry".
    3. http://<host>:50000/nwa -> configuration->scenarios->Config Wizard
and tried to run the "DI CMS - create application skeleton" but I am getting error as
"Error: unknown exception: Cannot find software component release (Vendor/Name/Release valenet.net/MYCOMPONENTS/1.0) in CMS. UpdateCMS Server or/and check SLD component content.Error: unknown exception: Cannot find software component release (Vendor/Name/Release valenet.net/MYCOMPONENTS/1.0) in CMS. UpdateCMS Server or/and check SLD component content."
same error I am getting when running "Integration of MII with existing NWDI".
I guess the information filled in the create track is wrong. Can any one tell me the step I followed is right and also where can I get the information about the Software Components?

  • SAP EHP1 for Solution Manager 7.0 - Post Install Procedure

    Hello Folks:
I completed Sol Manager 7.0 EHP1 installation on Win 2008 R2 with MS SQL in a sandbox environment. This is the first time I ever installed SAP on my own and i am in the process of performing post installation steps from Installation Guide.
In the install guide, there is no mention of creating a new client ex: 100. Could you please, provide a list of tasks that generally needed to perform after the installation is completed and before doing any configuration in Solution manager.
I have some very basic idea on the Basis but while going thru Installation Guide I am not sure if there any steps that generally need to perform to complete the installation.  My goal is to complete the Sol Mgr installation first and then start preparing for ECC 6.0 Installation.
    Thanks a lot in Advance.

    Hi,
First - the basic post installation steps are:
    1. sick t-code need to execute
    2. se06 --> Perform Post-Installation Actions
    3. RZ10 --> Utilities --> Import profiles --> Of active servers
    4. execute sgen T-code --> This will take some time
    5. setup STMS
    6. create client (If custom required)
    7. Take backup of the system
For the solution manager client you could use the default created '001' client.
Next you need to run the solman_setup template which 'sets up' the SolMan for usage.
    Follow config guide at: https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000308502009E.PDF
For installing the ECC system, only a install key(from SMSY) is to be generated from SolMan. But if you want to use the SolMan effectively, suggest you to run the entire solman_setup.

  • SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 EHP1 for Windows 32bit

    Hello,
anybody knows where I can download a SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 EHP1 for Windows 32bit?
At the SAP Software Distribution Center I have found only 64bit version.
    Günter

    Hello John,
thank's for your answer which helps me much! In the meantime SAP told us also that it is included in the developer studio.
I don't have DVDs. I can only download from the SAP Software Distribution Center and there I can find 51036014 NW CE 7.11 Appl., Dev.WP 32bit, Doc. 1 of 6.
In the Requirements for the training SAP wrote we have to install SAP EHP1 for NetWeaver CE 7.1 SP4 and Oracle 10.2 or SQL-Server 2005.
If I look to the downloaded 51036014 kit I find the following directories:
    CE711_01_DOCU
    CE711_01_IM_WIN_I386_ADA
    CE711_01_IM_WIN_I386_MSS

    CE711_01_JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_UT
    CE711_01_JAVA_JDMP

    K_CE711_UI_WINDOWS_I386
    MAXDB_UPDATE
    MAXDB_WINDOWS_I386
There is no directory for Oracle. Do you know which directory I have do use for installation?

I'm using a HTC Diamond device, with Windows Mobile 6.1
I hope i says enough information, and somebody can help me.
Thank you so much for your time.

    Hello ,
Prblem is on your windows mobile 6.0 / 6.1. WM 6.0 /6.1  is not officially supported by SAP MI client yet. But eventhough we were able to bring up the MI client on WM 6.0 . You need to install the correct CrEme version using the below download link:
    http://www.nsicom.com/Default.aspx?tabname=me
Check the below two OSS for ore details :
SAP Note 772334 - Download of a CrEme-Cab file with
    permanent license
SAP Note 720225 - Which version of CrEme do I have to
    install on which device?
You have to use the CrEme 4.1.2 for Netweaver Mobile 7.1 .
Alos you need to use the correct MI client CAB file for the MI client installation.
We used MI Client SP 13 version for Windows Mobile 6.0 or try SP 20 . Either one of them will work.
Hope this will resolve your issue .
    Thanks,

  • Advices required for a JAWT implementation for Windows Mobile 5 and 6

    Hi,
I want to create a jni bridge in order to open a player in a java Frame. This player works fine in a mobile native application.
I want to know if somebody tried already to create such a bridge keeping in mind that this is for mobile environment. If yes, is there some specific problems which I should be aware of?
    Specifically I have 2 problems.

    Hello Brian,
the client technology is based on web dynpro, but it runs in an own Mobile Client. Therefore you do not need the internet browser for the application.
During the client development you can use the web dynpro tools to design the layout and the screen flow of your application. In the last step you can deploy the application to your mobile client and run it without a browser.
The mobile client includes a web dynpro runtime to display the data. Therefore you do not need a J2EE server in order to run an application.
The mobile occasionally connected scenario provides a api to access the local database. NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 for PDA supports two different databases:
    1. MinDB ( from SAP, included no additionals license fee required )
    2. DB2E
NetWeaver Mobile includes a complete queing mechanism.
You can also take a look into two eLearnings which provide a good technical overview:

Unfortunetly there is no fixed timeline for WM6.But I guess this will be available soon.
I'm afraid but also don't know of any fixed timeline regarding Adobe Interactive forms.
The architecture of NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 is pretty new and full of great new functionalites. The User Interface for NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 uses eSWT to render the UI elements.
