SAP Enterprise Modeling Applications by IDS Scheer (ARIS)

Hi,
Does anyone know where to find the temporary license key for SAP Enterprise Modeling by IDS Scheer?
The documentation in the Service Marketplace directs you to the "download scope" - however I cannot find anything in the download software or in the download license keys areas of the Service Marketplace.
Thanks

IDS Scheer's ARIS (offered also by SAP as "Enterprise Modeling Applications") let's you create, communicate and maintain conceptual models of your organizations processes. They primary serve as 'live' documentation and focus on high level, company wide processes (e.g. "the procurement process").
NetWeaver BPM and the included process composer tool let's you model executable process extensions to SAP applications and run them as composite applications. You would use them to e.g. implement approval, collaboration, exception management, workflow etc.
Now both modelers work with "boxes and arrows" type of models, but their intent is different and they're usually applied by different people for different purposes.

  • Integrate a Oracle Forms Application in SAP Enterprise Portal

    Hello togheter,
    i would like to integrate a Oracle Froms Application in our SAP Enterprise Portal. We use Oracle Froms AS 10g v10.0.2. I read that oracle forms supports single-sign-on, but i don't understand exactly how does it works? What steps i need to do? Has anybody experience in this topic? Supports oracle forms application SAP Logon Tickets?
    Many thanks in advance and greetz,

    Hello, thanks for your answer.
    I can't use the first option from you, because of the necessity to use SAP Logon Tickets.
    If i understand everthing right, it is possible to implemant the SAP-Logon-Ticket-Libary in the integrated application. By Oracle Forms is this not possible, because it is a framework application. The authentification to the Oracle Forms application is transferred over the Oracle Application Server. It is also no possiblity to implement the libary in the application server.
    Today i talked to the Oracle Support and they said that one solution is to use the Oracle Access Management as Middle-Software between SAP EP and Oracle Application Server.
    What do you think about this solution? It is really not possbile to integrate Oracle forms in SAP EP with SAP-Logon-Ticket without an extra software?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Runtime error while using SAP Enterprise Connector in a J2EE Web Servlet

    Hello,
    I'm facing problems while trying to do a RFC call out of a Servlet.
    I'm using Development Components (DCs) and my project setup is as follows:
    Firstly I've created a DC of type J2EE/Web Module. This DC implements an absolutly simple servlet which has to do the RFC-Call.
    The relevant code is:
    protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
       JCO.Client jcoclient = JCO.createClient("010", "DV*****", "***", "DE", "ovd***", "01");
       jcoclient.connect();
       Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Input input = new Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Input();
       input.setAirline("LH");
       SAPProxies_PortType myproxy = new SAPProxies_PortType();
       myproxy.messageSpecifier.setJcoClient(jcoclient);
       try {
          Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Output output = myproxy.bapi_Flight_Getlist(input);
          BapisfldatType_List list = output.get_as_listFlight_List();
          int listsize = list.size();
          for (int i = 0; i < listsize; i++) {
             BapisfldatType elem = list.getBapisfldatType(i);
             response.getWriter().print("Date: " + elem.getArrdate() + '\t' + "Arrive: " + elem.getArrtime());
       } catch (Exception e) {
          response.getWriter().print(e.toString());
       jcoclient.disconnect();
    The proxy for the RFC Module "BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST" - in this case the classes around "SAPProxies_PortType" were generated by NWDS ("SAP Enterprise Connector" Wizard).
    I had to manually add following DCs as "Used DCs" to get my DC built:
    com.sap.aii.proxy.framework (default)
    com.sap.aii.util.misc (default)
    com.sap.mw.jco (default)
    So far, so good...
    As a J2EE/Web module DC can't be deployed I've created a second DC of type J2EE/Enterprise Application and referenced the first DC. This DC is also built fine and can be deployed.
    But... When I call my servlet I get following Error Message on the web browser:
    The request cannot be processed.
      Details:
      com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exceptions.ServletNotFoundException: Cannot load the requested servlet [LocalDevelopmentservletxxx.com/servlet/TestServlet].

    I think it has something to do with the used DCs... but I don't know why the classes are not found after deployment. I also tried
    to package the relevant jar-files from the used DCs into the EAR-File - but the I faced problems with the JCo
    Thank you for any help.
    Osman

    Hi,
    One thing that can be helpful is to add the references of the JAR files that you are adding as Used DC in the EAR.
    This can be done by adding Library type References in the application-j2ee-engine.xml Deployment descriptor in the EAR project.
    Following link will be helpful: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/83/82814282cfc153e10000000a1550b0/content.htm

  • Realationship enterprise service - application/entity service

    I read some books about ESA and CAF but I still don't know the relationship between enterprise services in ESA and application and entity services in the Netweaver DevStudio (CAS framework).
    Are application/entity services also enterprise services? Or is there a difference?
    Thanks for your answers.
    Joachim

    You can consume SAP Enterprise Services. You can also participate in the definition of the Enterprise Services  through the ES Community (see ES Community under Enterprise SOA in SDN) and even create your own Enterprise Services. You can use whatever web development tools you like. In Netweaver Java stack, you can use CAF to implement or develop Application Services (where business logic is coded) leveraging Entity Services taping into your local or remote data model(s). Enterprise Services can be modeled and coded in CAF Application Services but you can use plain J2EE as well. In SAP case, the interfaces for Enterprise Services are defined in XI (input/output/exception). Their implementation happen in the appropriate SAP solutions like ERP where business logic can execute against appropriate data.
    Practically CAF Entity Services cannot be called Enterprise Services unless you want to. They just perform basic CRUD (create/read/update/delete) operations on an data object. They're more like utility services. But like Anton's mention of "Private Enterprise Services", what's private remains your own business!

  • SAP Enterprise Services: Configuration Date

    I need the configuration dates for SAP Enterprise Services.
    Case: my team of APO BPXs has done an analysis of available SAP Enterprise Services using ES Workplace on March 4th. and 5th. But there was the update of APO from 5.0 to 7.0. Therefore I need the following information:
    - Did my APO group use APO/SCM 5.0 or 7.0 on March 4th. and 5th.? (Where is the history of updates on SAP Servers, in particular on HU08).
    - Where can I find a comprehensive list of the available SAP Enterprise Web Services with:
    Date WS Configured (so my BPX can review and check only the new WSs. This is a paramount in order to recommend updates on existing SOA applications that use "home made" web services?)
    Thanks a lot,

  • Question about SAP Enterprise Services Explorer 1.1

    Hi ,
        1. I use dotnet connector before and now someone told me that I can use SAP Enterprise Services Explorer 1.1
            but when I download this app, it says '90 day evaluation ';
            what about after 90 days?
        2. another questions, our warehouse will perform a WTS<Warranty Tracking System> which needs scan some barcode,
            and our scanner's OS is Windows Mobile 5.0 which<Model:intermec 700C> can be developed in VS 2005.
           my question is can I develop a windows mobile application with using SAP Enterprise Services Explorer 1.1?

    From a mobile PC application you can connect only webservice or you should have to develop you own RFC connector from zero.
    the architecture I use for Pocket PC is some webservices hosted in a .net webserver. The pocket PC connects the .net webserver and my webserver used a RFC proxy. My RFC proxy is built with SAP .net connector, JCo, or Erp connect, a .net api for sap developped by a great guy ... • Best Practice for Organizing Enterprise Models

    We need to migrate our Oracle Designer models (almost 10 years in the works) into OSDM to stay with current design tools. We do not have the option of staying with Designer.
    I need to know of any best practices or other documents that describe a way to organize an enterprise model in OSDM. I am coming from years of working with Designer and want to translate the multiple Application Folders in Designer into a similar organization in OSDM. We have 3 COTS packages with 1000's of tables each and many custom applications that use tables from multiple schemes and databases. Our developers like to see all the tables for a single custom application in its own diagram no matter where they come from and the DBA's don't want to wade through several thousand tables to find the handful we need nor have to duplicate table definitions in multiple models. In Designer we have been doing that with Application Folders.
    Another area of interest is in the deployment of database objects to multiple databases where the privileges vary from development to production. In the old Designer world this is done via implementations in the DB Admin tab. Can this be done in OSDM?

    Hi Marcus,
    Our developers like to see all the tables for a single custom application in its own diagram no matter where they come from and the DBA's don't want to wade through several thousand tables to find the handful we need nor have to duplicate table definitions in multiple models. In >Designer we have been doing that with Application Folders.There are no application folders in data Modeler. You can use subviews to define your subject areas. Subview is crated for each application (folder) during import form Designer repository.

    From the ABAP perspective, few differences are.
    The WS_* function modules used in 4.6c has become obsolete from 4.7C. All the WS_* FMs have been replaced by GUI_* FMs.
    (ii) Concept of Unicode is introduced.
    (iii) Few tables have been modified in ECC6.0.
    Tables TVARV & TTREX have been replaced by TVARVC & TTREXN respectively.
    (iv) we have enhancement points and enhancement sections along with enhancemnts and BADI'S . and we can write the part of code in those points.
    For functional differences please check out the following link:

    ECC->enterprise central component.ECC 6.0 is the advanced version.if we consider in technical point of view then i can give u one example.
    In the new version we have enhancement points and enhancement sections along with enhancemnts and BADI'S.SAP has provided these ,so that without going for access keys we can write our code in the enhancement points along with Standard SAP code.So now SAP has provided more user friendly environment.Also a new DEBUGGER also arrived with the new version.Now we can see more things in the new er version of DEBUGGER.

  • EJB Modul: SAP Enterprise Connector, configuring build path

    Hello,
    first of all I'm using SAP NW CE.
    I created an 2 Development Components, an EJB Module and a Enterprise Application(EAR). In the EJB Module I use the SAP Enterprise Connector to generate Java Proxy Classes to do RFC calls.
    In the EAR-DC I add in Properties-->J2EE Module Dependencies the needed jar-files. And in the EJB-DC I reference this.
    When I don't work with DCs and I create a "normal" EJB and EAR project that is the way it works.
    But with DCs I have a problem when I want to build the DC. I have this error:
    package com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core does not exist
    So the build-process don't realize the J2EE Module Dependencies. How can I solve this problem?
    Regards,
    Armin

    Did you mean the Development Infrastructure Perspective? If yes I don't find DC -> DC Metadata -> DC Definitino -> Right-click Used DCs -> Add Used DC... if I browse through my DC.
    Apart from that I don't want to reference DCs as I write above. I want to reference only jar-files. Because the DCs com.sap.aii.proxy.framework, com.sap.aii.util..misc and com.sap.mw.jco are deprecated. And if I reference DCs I have to use this DCs to use the proxy classes made by the SAP Enterprise Connector. So I want to reference the jar-files where the needed source isn't deprecated.
    By the way I use SAP NW CE.

    hi,
    <b>They are different:</b>
    SAP Connector : A development tool, that helps classes and RFC function module method calls in Java application.

  • What versions of the SAP Enterprise Portal support Java 5

    What versions of the SAP Enterprise Portal support Java 5?
    Example:
    If we were to use Java 5 code for an iView what versions of the portal would it run in?
    I have reviewed the Product Availability Matrix (PAM) and this is not clear. All I can find are references to JAVA 4 when using EP 6.

    Hi Alejandro,
    Currently, the version of SAP NetWeaver that is J2SE 5.0 as well as Java EE 5 compatible is the [SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment (NW CE)|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-ce]. It does not provide the "full" Portal capabilities, however it does come with a "Portal Lite" and supports Portal applications development scenarios.
