SAP Enterprise Project Connection 2.0 in SAP ECC 6.0 EHP6

Hello experts,
Before describing any think let me tell u that i am very new to this field.
We are configuring SAP Enterprise Project Connection 2.0 in our SAP ECC 6.0 EHP6 .I have already installed ABAP add on for EPC in ECC system.
I have also installed trial version of primavera6 in another system.So now how can i connect my ECC system to Primavera6 through Enterprise Project Connection(EPC). I have gone through the installation guide for SAP Enterprise Project Connection 2.0 SP2.But i could not get any clear idea.
Any reply is helpful for me..
Thanks
Debasis

Hello Debasis,
Post EPC installation,you need to perform configuration of EPC through portal.You can see it listed under configuration--> configuration scenarios-->EPC.
During configuration you will be asked to define path of you primavera installation and a user on that system with sufficient permissions. This user is called APS user.
Try to do a mock configuration run on sandbox/dev system and then you can follow the guide.

  • Enterprise Project Connection 2.0 - Architecture

    Hi,
    We are implementing EPC 2.0 to link between Oracle Primavera & SAP PM for turnaround scheduling. We have 1 ECC instance that used by different users from our offices around the globe. I couldn't find here SAP Enterprise Project Connection 2.0 – SAP Help Portal Page information about the architecture recommendation. For example, which is better :
    Having 1 single EPC instance close to the ECC that is connected to 1 Primavera DB and the Primavera clients in all the regions access this DB that is colocated with ECC & EPC ? or
    Having 3 EPCs, 3 Primavera DBs (in each region) and all these are connected to the single ECC instance.
    Performance wise which is better ? is the 2nd option valid  (many EPCs to 1 ECC) ?
    We couldn't find answers to this.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • BI content and SAP Enterprise portal connection

    Hello All,
    i m new to SAP enterprise portal , can anyone explain me the connection of BI content and Enterprise Portal.Please explain me the flow of publishing the Bi reports to EP.
    Thnks in advc.

    HI Sonal,
    For publishing BI reports in portal you  need to Integrate BI into Portal.
    Please refer to SAP Notes:
    916950
    937697
    They are very helpful.
    Procedure for publishing after integrating BI with portal:
    For this you need to create Roles-Worksets-Pages---Ivews.
    The name of the report which you want to  be displayed in TLN you need to make a Role for that and the tab under that name you need to create worksets for that and the content of the report you need to create an ivew for that in this way your report will be displayed in portal also you need to righht click on the workset and <add workset to Role>and similarly for ivew also keeping entry point "YES" for a role is mandatory with the main report name in TLN and and the sub tabs under below it and the content indetailed navigation.
    For publishing simply create a Role --workset and an ivew .
    During creation of an ivew the wizard will ask you for a Query string that Query will be given to you by your BI people you just neeed to copy that query after ? mark and paste it in and then save it hence your report  is published in portal.
    This is basically the proceddure for publishing BI reports in portal. You can ask any doubts if you hae in this.

  • Q: BOBJ reports in SAP Enterprise Portal?

    Hi,
    We want to be able to access Business Objects reports (Crystal Reports and WebIntelligence Reports) via the SAP Enterprise Portal. The integration between SAP BI and BOBJ is completed, and we can create WebI and CR reports based on our SAP queries, but we have not been able to understand how to publish the reports in the portal.
    Does anybody have any idea of how to publish these reports (for instance if it is possible to create a direct link to the report in InfoView)?
    Any help appreciated,
    Thank you in advance,
    Mikael

    Hi Mikael,
    this is the quick (URL iView) but not the recommended (BOBJ iView Template) way:
    1. Log on the BOBJ InfoView, locate your report and look at its properties. Write down its CUID.
    2. Go into the SAP Portal and create a new URL iView using following URL
    http://<name of bobj web server:port of boboj web server>/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=<CUID of your report>
    Regards,
    Stratos
    NOTE: The openDocument URL works for BOBJ XI 3.x installations with Tomcat. Please look in the documentation about the syntax if you are using IIS.

  • Configure SSO Connection from SAP Enterprise Portal to BOE Server

    Hi Guys,
    We recently installed a BOE Server and want to connect it to our SAP Enterprise Portal. What we need is just to display the Crystal Reports via Enterprise Portal. We have set up the following:
    SAP EP with AD Authentication
    SAP EP configured with SNC to SAP BI7 system
    SAP BOE XI 3.1 - SAP Integration Kit
    BOE Server configured with SAP Authentication via SAP BI7 System
    We've also set up BOE IK iviews and URL iviews pointing to existing reports in BOE. However, when we access it from EP, it prompts for a username and login to BOE. Is there a way to configure these so that there is no prompt for login to BOE server and SSO is used? Is it also possible to have a service account (e.g. domain/crystal) that will run the reports in BOE everytime a user accesses a report from SAP EP?
    Let me know if this is at all possible

    Hi,
    You should configure InfoView for SSO first, which required infoview.xml file modification, using windows AD default authentication. If you want to utilize the OpenDocument URL for iView then you also need to configure OpenDocument.xml file for SSO also. The SAP portal must have trust relation with the SAP BW server so the Windows AD token can be authenticate with SAP BW server.
    If you want crystal user to run all the report then you will lose data security. It can be done by hard coding user name and password in the report properties and database logon but the SSO capability can be accomplished only by windows AD, SAP or LDAP.
    For more details check BOXI Admin guide and SAP Integration Guide.
    Thanks,
    Muhammad

  • Connection to database in sap crystal reports enterprise xi 4.0

    Hi,
    When we are trying to connect to database in sap crystal reports enterprise xi 4.0 ,i am geting the below error.please advise.
    Error:
    Failed to establish a connection.The cause was:
    Connot connect to SAP BussinessObjects Enterprise at this time.Please try again later.

    Thanks for your quick response Henry....
    I checked all this things and all are working fine.
    Now I am able to connect to BOE server.
    The cause behind the issue was in "CMC > Applications > Web
    Service > Access URL:"  the URL was having different server name which we have changed earliar, I just correct the URL and issue got resolved.
    But now when I am trying to access BOE Server through Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0 client tool directly not from launch pad, it probes me the same error. (Note: I used the same parameters which i got from launch pad token to this)
    Is that a only way to use Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0 from launch pad ??

  • Connect of 2 SAP BW systems to  one SAP Enterprise Portal

    Hi!
    I have 2 SAP BW systems that should be integrated into SAP Enterprise Portal.
    I currently have already one SAP system entry "SAP_BW" within SAP EP.
    Questions
    Is it possible to define second entry for second SAP BW system in order to use 2 SAP BW systems with one SAP EP in parallel?
    Where can I find appropriate documentation?
    Thank you very much!

    Hi,
    We have a pilot portal with BW DEV, QAS and PRD connected to it.  So it is possible.
    It may be more appropriate to post this in the portal forum to get expert advice.

  • Runtime error while using SAP Enterprise Connector in a J2EE Web Servlet

    Hello,
    I'm facing problems while trying to do a RFC call out of a Servlet.
    I'm using Development Components (DCs) and my project setup is as follows:
    Firstly I've created a DC of type J2EE/Web Module. This DC implements an absolutly simple servlet which has to do the RFC-Call.
    The relevant code is:
    protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
       JCO.Client jcoclient = JCO.createClient("010", "DV*****", "***", "DE", "ovd***", "01");
       jcoclient.connect();
       Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Input input = new Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Input();
       input.setAirline("LH");
       SAPProxies_PortType myproxy = new SAPProxies_PortType();
       myproxy.messageSpecifier.setJcoClient(jcoclient);
       try {
          Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Output output = myproxy.bapi_Flight_Getlist(input);
          BapisfldatType_List list = output.get_as_listFlight_List();
          int listsize = list.size();
          for (int i = 0; i < listsize; i++) {
             BapisfldatType elem = list.getBapisfldatType(i);
             response.getWriter().print("Date: " + elem.getArrdate() + '\t' + "Arrive: " + elem.getArrtime());
       } catch (Exception e) {
          response.getWriter().print(e.toString());
       jcoclient.disconnect();
    The proxy for the RFC Module "BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST" - in this case the classes around "SAPProxies_PortType" were generated by NWDS ("SAP Enterprise Connector" Wizard).
    I had to manually add following DCs as "Used DCs" to get my DC built:
    com.sap.aii.proxy.framework (default)
    com.sap.aii.util.misc (default)
    com.sap.mw.jco (default)
    So far, so good...
    As a J2EE/Web module DC can't be deployed I've created a second DC of type J2EE/Enterprise Application and referenced the first DC. This DC is also built fine and can be deployed.
    But... When I call my servlet I get following Error Message on the web browser:
    The request cannot be processed.
      Details:
      com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exceptions.ServletNotFoundException: Cannot load the requested servlet [LocalDevelopmentservletxxx.com/servlet/TestServlet].

    Hi,
    One thing that can be helpful is to add the references of the JAR files that you are adding as Used DC in the EAR.
    This can be done by adding Library type References in the application-j2ee-engine.xml Deployment descriptor in the EAR project.
    Following link will be helpful: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/83/82814282cfc153e10000000a1550b0/content.htm

  • Connecting Crystal Reports to SAP BW BEx query

    Post Author: mfrank
    CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
    We have used Crystal Enterprise 8.5 to connect to an SAP BW BEx query in the past, however we are having some difficulties.  Rather than trying to upgrade our old CE system, I've been told that we should be able to connect Crystal Reports (2008?) directly to the BW BEx query.  I've been trying to accomplish this, but can't seem to find any drivers that will allow the connectivity.  When I try to set up a connection using OLAP, the only two options listed are Hyperion and Microsoft OLAP.  I have an old version of Brio Query (now Hyperion, now Oracle) that does show up with a driver for BW, but this doesn't show up in my Crystal options.
    Can someone give me some advice as to how to connect Crystal Reports to SAP BW?  I realize there are licensing issues with running live data without using Crystal Enterprise (or later BO products), but I'm just looking to print a report to a PDF.
    Thanks

    There is a specific set of authorizations that you need to provide to your SAP user to be able to create CR reports against SAP data source. Check in the "SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Integration for SAP Solutions Installation and Administration Guide" chapter 13 called "Authorization".
    You can download this guide in the following URL: ht[http://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700000559912010E/xi31_sp3_bip_sap_inst_en.pdf|http://service.sap.com/sapidb/011000358700000559912010E/xi31_sp3_bip_sap_inst_en.pdf]
