  • Is SSO possible for SAP ERP and xMII

    Hi,
    Is it possible to have Single Sign-On between SAP ERP and xMII.
    The requirement is that the user wants to login to the SAP ERP and using the same credentials he/she should be able to use xMII (without prompting for login credentials again.)
    If it is not possible why is it so, and if it is then how?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
      UME is User Management Engine. The UME provides the centralized user management for all Java applications and can be configured to work with user management data from multiple data sources. It is seamlessly integrated in the J2EE engine of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server for Java as its default user store and can be administered using the administration tools of the AS java.
       You can configure multiple data source (DB, LDAP or ABAP) to UME for managing user data.
    For more information on UME please, refer the below link as well.

  • Connecting SAP ERP and SAP XI via RFC (in cluster)

    Hi all,
    I have a strange problem with SAP ERP and SAP XI (production systems). Both systems are installed in cluster. I am trying to connect both systems via RFC, so I configurred TCP connection using SM59. But, when I try to test connection, I am always getting error "Program xxxx is not registered". When I register the program on the sender communication channel on different system (develop system - different machine), connection works fine. Configuration on both SAP XI production and development systems is identical. I just cannot understand, why production SAP ERP does not see registered program on production SAP XI. Has anybody experiences with this? Or any other ideas where should be the problem?

    Are you configuring the RFC Sender adapter with load balancing?
    what is the hostname you're using for ERP?
    Is it the message server's?
    Also, make sure the dispatcher is properly configured, sending the requisitions to the application servers.
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • IWay adapters between SAP ERP and Oracle

    Hi,
    The systemlandscape in the future is a SAP ERP System without a java stack and a Oracle system.
    Importend: And without a SAP Portal and a SAP PI.
    I think we will install the iWay Oracle adapter on the SAP ERP system and on the Oracle the iWay for SAP adapter.
    I this solution generally possible with iWay adapters or maybe others solution between SAP ERP and Oracle?
    Thank you for all answers.
    Regards
    Richard

    Hi,
    Your question is not clear.
    It is true that SAP is no more supporting Dual stack systems because of performance related problems. So, we need to install As ABAP and As Java system separately. As far as oracle is concerned, you need a database to install ERP system then why you want to install adapter ?
    Thanks

  • RFC conn between SAP ERP and TREX not working

    Hi experts,
    we run a TREX instance on a Windows 2003 server and use it for our HCM portal.
    The solution is in operation since 2 years but actually we face the problem that objects which have been created within the last month will not be covered by the index.
    Without knowing about any changes in the setup I see the following error message when I perform the RFC connecten test in our ERP system:
    Logon     Connection Error
    Error Details     Error when opening an RFC connection
    Error Details     ERROR: program Trex_UKP_20071025104543 not registered

    Error Details     TIME: Mon Jul 27 10:34:48 2009
    Error Details     VERSION: 2
    In the TREX admin tool on the Windows server I see the following log message:
    Source->Destination: Not set in TREX but TREX reachable -> ini file section missing?.
    After reading lots of notes I guess that I have to register the server program that's used in the RFC on the gateway.
    Unfortunately I have no idea how to do that.
    Has anybody experiences with such a problem case or can tell me how to continue?
    Is the problematic RFC realy the reason of my problem or just another side effect?
    Many thanks for your really appreciated help in advance and best regards
    Günter

    Hi again,
    the saprfc.ini on the TREX server look like follows:
    DEST=UKT
    TYPE=A
    ASHOST=medos
    SYSNR=00
    DEST=UKP
    TYPE=A
    ASHOST=janos
    SYSNR=00
    UKT is our test system which is connected to the same TREX server and everything is fine there.
    On the test system I can also see the registered server program in SMGW.
    UKP is our productive system where the configuration should be the same.
    Of course I do not see the registered server program in SMGW there.
    Is the way described in above link (RFCACCEPT) the only correct way to register my server program?
    I ask because I found information that the server program has to be developed according to this rfcaccept command and I have absolutely no idea wheather this is so.
    Thanks again for your help!

  • Scenario for interface between a non sap system and a SAP erp

    Hello,
    I need some help in order to elaborate a interface between a SAP ERP and a non-sap system with the help of a XI system.
       -  At first regarding the interface from the non sap system and a SAP ERP :
           the non sap system sends a flat file to the XI system. The flat file contains a row with header data and rows with item data. We were thinking when the file arrives to the XI system, to save the data in a header database and in a items database in XI. is it possible ?
    And then to have like a job that reads the database and creates idoc and sends them to the SAP erp and updates the xi header and items database  with a flag that means that the records have been sent to the SAP erp.
       -   Regarding the interface SAP erp to non SAP system:
           the SAP erp sends idoc to XI. Then the idocs are transformed into flat file.
    Is this scenario possible ?
    Do we need any adaptator between the non sap system and the XI ?
    Thank you for your help
    Christophe

    Hi Bontron,
    Idoc doesnot support synchronous call. So you can use either proxy or function module and inturn call the idoc from them and send response back to xi. You need to have two scenarios for your design.
    Scenario1:   Source File (file adapter) -- xi -- Dump into database tables (Jdbc Adapter)
    Scenrio2:  Pickup form Database tables  (Jdbc Adapter) -- xi -- RFC Adapter  ---> This is synchronous call.
    Regarding the interface SAP erp to non SAP system
    You can send idoc to xi and from there use File adapter to send to the receiving system.
    These blogs may help you to some extent:
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/06/01/file-to-jdbc-adapter-using-sap-xi-30
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/step%2bby%2bstep%2bRFC%2bto%2bJDBC%2bscenario   (your scenario will be opposite to this)

  • SAP Sourcing 7.0 integration with SAP ERP - issue with SAP PI

    Hi All,
    We are integrating SAP Sourcing 7.0 with SAP ERP 6.0 with SAP PI 7.1 in middle. So the Sourcing will talk to PI and this intern will talk to ERP. Sourcing is on oracle 11g where as PI and ERP are on SQL 2008. All these 3 are on windows 2003 x64.
    We are following the "Configuration Guide Integration of SAP ERP and SAP Sourcing 7.0" provided by SAP.
    We have successfully configured Sourcing and PI systems as pe the document. In Sourcing, by using background jobs we are able to successfully generate files in "export" folder which is part of FTP directory.
    However the issue is with PI, we configured the "configuration scenerio" in Integration builder and point all channels to the FTP folder in Sourcing. But PI is not picking up these files.
    Is there any way to trigger this in PI system. Or do we need to do anything in sourcing itself.
    Regards,
    Siva.

    Hello Siva,
    I am thinking that you may need to deploy FTP adapter in PI to get this process work fine but not sure.
    Let's see what other experts suggest.
    Thanks,
    Siva Kumar

  • Is there any upragde tools for SAP B1 to SAP ERP?

    Hi,
    I know, SAP B1 and SAP ERP are totally different SAP products.
    In my mind, maybe we should implement the new SAP ERP, and then, migrate the old master data from B1 to ERP...
    So, is there any upragde tools or procedure (or data migration tools)for the project of upgrade SAP B1 to SAP ERP?
    Is there any documentation for this?

  • Customer Hierarchy details in SAP ERP BP transaction

    Dear All,
    Currently we are using BP transaction in SAP ERP and also using customer hierarchy transaction VDH1N.
    Now the problem is we cannot see customer hierarchy in BP transaction, we have any option that we can create relationship in the BP transaction, however its a double effort.  Is there any option that we can see the Customer Hierarchy details in SAP ERP BP transaction?
    Regards,
    Murali

    Hello Murali,
    With BP transaction, do you mean business partners in XD03 / VD03?
    >> we cannot see customer hierarchy in BP transaction
    No, you can't see the customer hierarchy in XD03. That's correct.
    In XD03 you have sold-to, payers, bill-to and ship-to.
    You also have hierarchy nodes (012).
    In my opinion, the customer hierarchy should only have relations between hierarchy nodes and sold-to(s).
    Therefore these are different information segments => No need to see the hierarchy from the BP transaction.
    Hint: Maybe that is the reason why the functionality is not available in the standard system!

  • Business System name - SAP ERP

    Hi everyone!
    Quick question: my BASIS team created the Business System name for our SAP ERP, and they call it "DR1", which is the system ID.
    Is  this going to bother me in the transport situation? (All I imagine is changing all of my Configuration in PI (Sender agreement, and such) in a new environment, so I´m thinking about changing this ASAP.)
    Any suggestions for the SAP ERP Business System name?
    Regards!
    Ricardo Sancio Lóra
    Brazil

    Hi Ricardo,
    ll I imagine is changing all of my Configuration in PI (Sender agreement, and such) in a new environment,
    You dont need to change the Sender agreement and other stuff in configuration while transporting to New system.
    You can maintain transport targets in SLD of XI.  Means you need to maintain corresponding target for DR1 into Quality system.
    Ex: For DR1 transport Target QR1 in quality. This will automatically change Configuration object in Quality system. No need to maintain manually.
