Yes, XI has build in JDBC adapter used to connect to database applications. In your case, if your oracle system is sender, then you can choose JDBC sender, if it is receiver, then you can use JDBC receiver.
By default, XI does not have JDBC driver installed, you must deploy the driver first, there is How -To document from SAP, you can easily search on the forum to get it.

Some places SAP might be deficient whereas in other areas , it might be the industry standard.
And also the comparison should be on
a. Technical grounds
b. Functional grounds...
It boils down to ultimately how you want to see it...
Merc might come with heated seats .. and the lexus might not have the same ... but for someone who is in a typical tropical country like India .. it does not make a difference.... got my point ??

IWay adapters between SAP ERP and Oracle

Hi,
The systemlandscape in the future is a SAP ERP System without a java stack and a Oracle system.
Importend: And without a SAP Portal and a SAP PI.
I think we will install the iWay Oracle adapter on the SAP ERP system and on the Oracle the iWay for SAP adapter.
I this solution generally possible with iWay adapters or maybe others solution between SAP ERP and Oracle?

Your question is not clear.
It is true that SAP is no more supporting Dual stack systems because of performance related problems. So, we need to install As ABAP and As Java system separately. As far as oracle is concerned, you need a database to install ERP system then why you want to install adapter ?

SAP Integration with Oracle AQ

Hi,
I'm developing a SAP solution without XI as another Integration system has been proposed.
The problem is that I would like to communicate SAP with the Integration system through Oracle Advanced Queuing, that is, send SAP Idocs trough Oracle queues.
Is SAP compatible with Oracle AQ? Do I need to implement any adaptor like JMS, iWay or similar(I've seen there are a lot developed in the market)?

What I told you is different from an RFC (You can also call an RFC as you said). When you create a BAPI it is automatically published as a Web Service. Going to the webservice browser in BSP applications(transaction SE80 in your SAP). There you have the WDSL of each BAPI. This way you don't need XI. The WSDL export all the functionallity of the BAPI and it's the same as execute the BAPI itself.
If you use XI you can do the same using a SOAP adapter. Even if it is equivalent doing that throw XI have many advantages, above all if you have many aplications to consume.

Configure sap xi with third party application?

Can any pls explain with technical details and steps how do i configure sap xi with third party application and what type of connectivity and interfacing communication channel is preffered?
Is there any option to web-services for interfacing between SAP system-SAP XI system-Third party Application.

This is a very generic question. There are some getting started guides available in the main XI section on SDN, and also some step-by-step guides in the wiki section. A quick search will get you tons of information.
 
The choice of connectivity and interfacing communication channel is really dependent on the capabilities of the third party system.

Using Tuxedo with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)

Our present Producation environment is Tuxedo8.0 with Oracle 9i as database .
We are planning to implement oracle RAC .
Can any one tell us , with the current tuxedo version which is 8.0 ,can we for RAC Or we need to upgrade Tuxedo to 9.1 for RAC Implementation?
If anyone has Implemented Tuxedo and Oracle with RAC successfully

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, support for Oracle RAC has been
implemented in Tuxedo 9.1 and in the Tuxedo 8.1 and Tuxedo 9.0 rolling patch
streams. There are no plans to backport this feature to Tuxedo 8.0. If you
plan to use RAC transactionally and if it is possible for multiple services
that could be located on different RAC instances to be accessed in a single
transaction (which will be true for most applications), then you should
upgrade to a version of Tuxedo with support for Oracle RAC. The
documentation at http://e-docs.bea.com/tuxedo/tux91/ads/adorac.htm#248431
gives an overview of RAC support in Tuxedo.

Question about SAP installation with Oracle 10g

I have successfully installed Oracle 10g on Windows server 2008 R2 64bit. I can connect to the database using mysql or through command prompt and run SQL commands.
I started installing the SAP EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ("51038620_13 BS 7 SR1 Installation Master Windows Server on x64 64bit") The installation goes very smooth. I choose the SAPSID and the DBSID sid, but then it gives an error stating to install oracle and continue or stop the installation & install Oracle. I have tried on continuing the installation since Oracle is already installed but I get the same message again and again.
Does it have to do with ORACLE 10g Sid. My Oracle SID is set to "ORCL" should it be the same as DBSID (during SAP Installation). Or the Oracle needs to be installed after SAP installation gets to the point for Oracle Installation. Please assist what needs to be changed. I can reinstall Oracle if needed. Any tips or comments would be nice.

You can't "change". You installed the Oracle software using "setup.exe" - which is wrong. You also created an example database - which is also not correct.
The Oracle software is installed, according to the installation guide, as
- start "sapserver.cmd" on the Oracle DVD (the SAP media)
- install the software according to the installation guide
- install the latest patchset
- install the latest PSU patch
--> and then start sapinst.

Apex running with Oracle Retail Applications

Hi,
Has anyone had experiance of building Apex screens to run with the Oracle Retail Applications (ORMS, ORPM, ReIM etc) and if so the do you do authentication using mod_sql (as with EBS 11i) rather than using the Apex Listener as you would with EBS R12.1
I am assuming its possible to access the Apex screens from the Retail menu's but I have not looked into it in any dertail and just wanted to know that I am not waiting my time suggesting Apex as an extension technology around the Retail Applications.

      and using DB-Link.
      If you want Read the data using ABAB coding, you need to use "Native SQL" Stament.
     For XI and other Middlware , you need configure so many steps,(RFC defination,PORT,Partner)
