SAP FI Transaction FV50 - Order Field Importance
Hello Friends,
In FI transaction FV50, Is the order field on the Journal Entry screen tied to a process order or something else?
Thank you in advance for any valuable input.
Regards,
Suvi
Hi Suvi
It is already mentioned in the help document " Number which identifies an order within a client. "

Order to import data in to SAP MDM using import manager
HI All,
Is this the order to import data in to SAP MDM?
Import look up tables
Import Hierarchy Tables
Import Taxonomy Tables -
Non -Qualifiers
Then import main table----map Qualifers along with Mian table and import...
Can we import entire taxonomy tables (Qualifiers, Non-Qualifers) along with main table after importing look up tables?
Thanks
RajeevHi Rajeev
The sequence mentioned by you is correct for importing data in MDM- flat lookup, hierarchy first followed by Main table.
Can we import entire taxonomy tables (Qualifiers, Non-Qualifers) along with main table after importing look up tables?
I am assuming that you are implying Qualified table here.
Import to qualified tables can be done in 2 ways-
1. Import separately using the unique field for the main table for linkages to the main table records.
2. Import can be clubbed with the main table import itself. In the import map we can use Join functionality to do a lookup based on the unique field for the main table.
For more details on the mechanism please go through the threads below-

I am ABAP consultant...in which transaction can we find Service order field
HI...
i am ABAP consultant...in which transaction can we find Service order field...
plz let me know in which transaction we can c service order no: and contract no: and if possible tell me the table relations also...
In which transaction ,can we calculate external, internal labor and material cost for a service.... i
i have gone thru iw32, iw 33,va42,va43.
Thanks
Madhavi.Dear Madhavi,
the service orders can be linked to the sales order in Make-To-Order (assembly) and in Repair-Order process. These processes are absolutely different from the SD point of view, but here some general points:
The button "Service Order" can be observed in the transaction VA02 or VA03, if you go to the sales order, then mark the item and go to the schedule line screen. Under the schedule lines you can see three buttons. The first button from the right side should be "Service Order" if the service order is linked directly to the sales order.
The interface between Sd and CS is the function module CO_61_ORDER_EDIT
It is in the case you want to debug.
On the database, please check the field VBEP-AUFNR for the corresponding sales order and sales order item.
I hope, this start info will help you a little bit further.
Kind regards,
Akmal Vakhidov

Posting to Production Order Field during WIP Calc in Classic Ledger FI/PCA
During our weekly Work In Process Calculation job (SAP Transaction KKAO) the following journal entry posts correctly per our company's SAP configuration:
Debit/Credit Work In Process Change (Income Statement)
Debit/Credit Work in Process Inventory (Balance Sheet)
When the entry posts in the Financial Accounting and Profit Center Accounting Modules within the Classic Ledger, the Order field (BSEG-AUFNR, GLPCA-AUFNR) is not being populated with the Production Order number. Instead it is going into a Text field. An example of the current behavior is below.
Itm PK Account Account short text Amount Text
1 40 530000 WIP Change 9.59 ORD 12345678
2 50 132000 WORK IN PROCESS 9.59- ORD 12345678
The other Production Order transactions such as labor confirmations and finished good deliveries populate the aforementioned Order fields and have no Text entry.
I would like the WIP calculation transaction to populate the Order fields in the Financial Accounting and Profit Center Accounting Postings. How can I make this happen within the SAP configuration?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
RomanHi,
old PCA report painter reports can be migrated to NewGL reports under certain circumstances (see SAPNET note 1555535 for details).
As the NewGL PC reporting bases on the data available in the new GL tables FAGLFLEX* I think that you will miss some infos in NewGL PC reporting compared to infos available in classic PCA reporting (eg object type / object class).
Nevertheless it is possible to add fields toFAGLFLEX* but I doubt that this will be helpful in your case.

Purchase order field in Cash Journal
Hi,
We want to post expenses with reference to Purchase order in Cash Journal. Purchase order field is not available in the Cash Journal. How to update the purchase order field in Cash Journal.
Regards,
AzeemHi,
In Cash journal, there are fields which are standard from the program SAPMFCJ0 and Control FTCJ_E_POSTINGS.
So you can see in FBCJ, while you post transaction line at the extreme right, you can see "configuration" there you can see the available fields. If you want to include, contact ABAP consultant or SAP team.

Purchase order field optional for Movement type
Hi SAP friends ,
Please let me know the config path to make the purchase order field as optional for particular mvt types that are used in MIGO transaction to receive the overage stock or reversal of overage stock
Regards,
JR.Hi John,
If your posting a 101 movement against a purchase order then there is probably no way of making the PO optional, as this is a designed process
I guess I need to understand the process in more detail
In the Interim please look at the following customising settings
Materials management > Inventory management > Inventory management and PI > Field selection for for goods movement
Materials management > Inventory management > Inventory management and PI > settings for enjoy transactions > fields for goods movements

Order field on the requisition
Hi Gurus,
The moment we select account assignment category as F, the order number field appears on the purchase requsition. But right now the system is allowing to save the req eventhough we dont enter a order number. The doc is happy as long as i enter GL account and cost center. is this the standard thing in the system? or can we make the order field mandatory?
thanks
AnushaHello,
I think It is the standard, in fact a purchasing document must be assigned to Cost elment, which could be cost center or profit center or WBS element or internal order.
So a cost center is enough. Furthermore, it is not commun that all purchasing activities be done against internal order.
Neverthless, if there is a real business need that field "order" be mandantory, you can change SAP default setting so that it behaves per as you need. just go to transaction OLME
OLME===>Purchasing===>Account assignment==>Maintain account assignment categories.
Select the account assignment category "F" and click on the loop.
There you can define the cost object is mandatory or not
Best regards -

Reference Object to Refresh Work Order Field Data
Dear Gurus,
In IW21/IW22 the reference object will populate the Responsibilities section of the Notification tab, and fields on the Location Data tab. When the reference object is changed, those same fields will update or refresh. The reference object will also populate field data in a work order if the work order is created from the notification, however, work order fields will not refresh if the reference object on the notification is changed. Nor will work order fields change if the reference object is changed directly within the work order.
Can anyone explain why fields will refresh in IW21/IW22 when the reference object is changed, but similar fields in the work order will not refresh when the reference object is changed in IW31/IW32?Hi Lisa,
When you execute IW31/IW32 transaction, in back ground standard SAP programs are called to perform order related task.
When transaction IW21 / IW22 is executed and order is created or changed at that point also standard SAP programs are called to perform order related task.
But program called by IW31/IW32 are different then that will called with IW21/IW22 and thus refresh dont happen if u change reference object in notification once after order is created.
You need to manually change in work order. -

Order field at item level Account Assignment tab in Inquiry
Dear All,
What is the purpose of u2018Orderu2019 field in account assignment tab of Inquiry?
When we are running sales pricing DP81, face the error u2018reference is incompleteu2019. So, I had to give the Order no. If it is intended for Profitability segment, what is the importance to PS?
We have assigned WBS and system det. Profit centre from WBS. But, getting the error u2018Order xxxxx is a networku2019 while trying to give network no. from dropdown button.
Is there a possibility, we can suppress the Order field.
Also, where does (tcode) system pick the values for item category in sales pricing? Cause, the required determination exists in VOV4 and in material master.
Regards,
Venkatitem category is determine from Item Catergory group in Mat master and Sales Doc Type.

Disabling selected Purchase Order field(s) after released/approved
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to disable specific Purchase Order fields after released via ME29N.
For example, in Purchase Requisition - I can "Release Indicator - Field Selection Key" to control Purchase Requisition screen layout. However, for Purchase Order - the configuration for "Release Indicator" consist only standard default "Chgable" options.
Question:
Is there a way to customize the Purchase Order "Release Indicator" for screen layout based on customer requirements other that using the default as mentioned above?
Thank you.
StevenHi Padmasri,
I understand your explanation on the standard SAP behavior.
Nevertheless, I'm looking for some flexibility to meet customer requirement. Like in Purchase Requisition, there is option to further customize the screen layout by linking it to the "Release Indicator".
Therefore, apart from the standard 6 options given by standard SAP, can we add/customize the options? For example, my customer may one to change a field in the Purchase Order even after released.
Thank you.

How to set up a link between sap fica transaction and cic front office
Hi Guys,
How to configure between SAP FICA transaction (FPR1 for create installation plan) to CIC front office.
I did some changes in FPR1 transaction, same changes which are not reflecting on CIC screen, when i log on to CIC0 and select the create install plan, It is automatically go to FPR1 but it is not showing with that changes.
I checked all the way but it is missing the link some where. plz drop any ideas on this.
Thanks
Venkat.Hi Matt, create a column of type "enhanced rich text." Then in your datasheet view, double click on the field in that column and use your "insert" tab to upload a file. You'll then see the file in this cell and you can open it straight
from the datasheet view.
