SAP Fiori - Launchpad: Tile Error

Dear Fellow Members,
Currently, while using a custom made theme via UI Theme Designer for Launchpad, we fail to load the same custom made theme to individual tiles. Once any tile is launched, it opens up using the default theme.
Can someone please support us in identifying the way to fix this issue and have the tiles (individual apps) replicate the same theme that is being consumed by the Launchpad? (Hint: where is the Launchpad pulling the Target URL for the tiles from?)

1) The Action was put Manually - not sure what to fill in that field. Service URL was picked up from Catalogue Administration - Approve Leave Request. See below -

How do I bring predefined catalog delivered by SAP that is used with the SAP Fiori launchpad.

Step 1. Configure launchpad.
Maintaining SAP NetWeaver Gateway OData Services - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library
SICF Services - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library
Configuring Authorization Roles - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library
Step 2. Find the roles from App Catalog
SAP Fiori Apps - SAP Library
App Implementation: Approve Purchase Orders - SAP Fiori Apps - SAP Library
Group role is Business Role -> SAP_MM_BCR_Buyer_X1
Catalog role is Technical Role -> SAP_MM_TCR_T_X1
Step 3. Assign the roles to users
If you can not find the Group/Catalog roles on Gateway server, it means you have not installed Fiori app UI components. Please install.

SAP Fiori launchpad caching

Hi,
I've created a custom theme for the SAP Fiori launchpad and I'm running into caching issues. I've tried a number of ways to clear the cache, but the changes are not visible for users I've logged in with before making the changes. When I create a fresh copy of the same user and login I do see the changes.
I've already tried the following things to clear the cache, without luck:
- Clear the browser cache
- Clear the server cache in SMICM, both locally and globally
- Clear the cache in /UI5/THEME_TOOL
- Clear the cache with /IWFND/CACHE_CLEANUP
- Clear the cache with /IWBEP/CACHE_CLEANUP
- Clear the cache with /UI2/CHIP_SYNCHRONIZE_CACHE
Does anyone know the secret to succesfully clearing the theme cache? Some of these steps above in a particular order or do I need to do something else?
We are on UI5 1.24.4 and theme designer 1.6.2 with all the latest notes implemented.

Hi Robert,
I'm happy to do as you suggest, but I have found no way to delete that entry. Change mode in that screen does not allow the deletion. There is a button with a trash can icon, but it does a “Reset values” and not a removal.
Please suggest how to proceed?

Sap Fiori LaunchPad Error

Hi Experts,
I am facing an error when trying to create a tile on fiori launchpad. I have properly configured the roles in Lpd_Cust and in PFCG also done the target mapping.
Error - resource view/Master.view.xml could not be loaded from /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/resources/view/Master.view.xml. Check for 'file not found' or parse errors. Reason: NOT FOUND
This application is working properly when tested from eclipse.
Kindly provide the suggestions.

Service URl for dynamic data should have only $count appended in the url u have kept.
Also please provide LPD_CUST launchpad role name.
I hope ZZFIORI_SA is your lpdcust launchpad role and not the pfcg role name.
Also check the Additional information field for proper component.js file. Is it proper ?

SAP Fiori- News Tile is not working

Dear Experts,
I've installed and configured Fiori Apps (Analytical, Fact Sheet and X1 Apps); it was a good Experience to work on SAP UX, Learnt Lots of thing in HANA, ES and the traditional 1:1:3 Screen's X1 Apps.
Just only one issue and that is NEWS Tile App..... Configured it, ribbon is going on but post clicking, it is not working.
Although before the upgrade of SAP_UI- it was working perfectly fine. Post Upgrade- its not working..... PFB

which browser do you use? we have implemented this note with internet explorer it works but not with chrome - the news get displayed in the tile, when navigating to the tile with chrome get an error "app cannot be started"

Fiori Launchpad - tile templates not available

Hi ,
In one of our client environment , only UI addon ( sp07 ) is installed in gateway system and custom SAPUI5 apps are developed.
I want to use New Fiori launchpad for catalog and tile creation . i am able to create catalog but when i try to add a tile the templates are unavailable.
Does tile templates are available only when one of the fiori UI component is installed or it available as a part of UI addon.
Right now i have to use old launchpage for tiles.

I have already implemented this note earlier , but now this note is updated with more patches of UI library, can updating the UI library to latest version will solve the problem ??

New SAP Fiori Launchpad issues

Hi all,
I want to use the new Fiori Launchpad, but I ran into two issues:
1 - When I try to logon at the new Launchpad, the result is the following image:
Instead, the old Launchpad was this :
2- If I want to set the new Lanchpad URL in the APP 'SAP Fiori client', after the Logon procedure the home page does not appears .

Ok for this information but why is this not configured by default ?
As a customer, all these not standard configurations add a lot to the complexity and to the cost of implementing Fiori apps.
SAP marketing is always telling us that SAP FIORI is a set of plug and play applications.
This is obviously not the case and internally our managers wonder why it takes so much time and money to install "plug and play" applications.
The change of mind between the Launch Page and the Launch Pad is also so confusing...
When will the "Launch Something New" arrive ?
The SAP Customer Experience Group should really try to improve the SAP Customer Experience !

Problems to add title icon on fiori launchpad tiles page

I am able to add page title for login page but after login i am not getting that icon, The sap standard one is coming. Please check the screen .
Again i am saying for login page the page title icon is coming properly. But its not coming for home page.

The Login page for Fiori is configured separately from the Launchpad. Configuring Login Screen for Launchpad Designer - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library makes it pretty clear that the Login page is a customized standard ABAP Login.
As I am not entirely sure what you mean by page title icon, I would direct you to look further down the page I linked here for you at the Extending the Launchpad and UI Theme Designer. Probably Theme Designer is what you need.
I would also direct you to the All Things SAP Fiori which is the Fiori Landing Page with links to most Fiori related content. A search using a custom Google Search will probably get you other Discussions in the SAP for Mobile community where most Fiori content resides.

SAP FIORI : LEAVE REQUEST ERROR in Launchpad.

Hello Everyone,
We have activated required services & RFCs' and they are working fine between NW Gateway Server 2.0 with 740 SP07 and Backend System ECC with latest patch 740 SP07.
While accessing the LEAVE APPLICATION from Launchpad, we are facing following problem :
1. Failed to start App,
2. Service LEAVEREQUEST failed. Contact your system administrator
Cannot call service with URL: /sap/opu/odata/GBHCM/LEAVEREQUEST;v=2
Not sure how to solve this issue.
Error Found at in SAP ;
1.No service found for namespace /GBHCM/, name LEAVEREQUEST, version 0001.
2.No service found for namespace /GBHCM/, name LEAVEREQUEST, version 0002.
3.No service found for namespace /SAP/, name SRA002_TIMESHEET_SRV, version 0001.
4.No service found for namespace /SAP/, name SRA007_BENEFITS_SRV, version 0001.
5.No service found for namespace , name SRA021_SRV, version 0001

Fiori launchpad - tile title

Hi ,
we have a custom app in the launchpad , and want to maintain the title of the tile in different languages.
I dont see any place to maintain title in different language .
Any Idea how to achieve this ?

I have not created a new launchpad.
in /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html , i have created a new catalog and group .
inside catalog , few tiles are created.
when i open /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html in different language the tile title is disabled for input.
also if scope= CONF is added , i cannot see the catalog created by me.

Error in Fiori Launchpad "could not start the app due..."

Hello everyone,
I am having a previously unseen (well, at least for me) error which raises on a click on the tile "Track Purchase Orders" on the SAP Fiori Launchpad:
"Could not start the app due to an internal error" (see the screenshot attached)
I haven't found any help on this error on Google and SAP portals.
The other applications work fine. So did this one before the implementation of SAP_UI 740 SP09 (before that it was SAP_UI 740 SP08). We applied all the notes specified in this post http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-56967
Components needed for Track Purchase Orders are patched to their maximum levels (UIX01EAP 100 SP03 and SRA020 600 SP05). OData and UI5 services are activated.
Plus, this error doesn't appear in the Gateway error logs (transaction /iwfnd/error_log) so troubleshooting is difficult.
The issue is systematically reproducible and has been reproduced on several computers.

I'm surprised that gbapp_poapproval and sra001 OData services are called here (with an intriguing ";mo")... We have found these errors in our /iwfnd/error_log screen after the SAP_UI 740 SP09 patch. Seeing this, we have installed GBAPP002 600 SP6 and SRA001 600 SP4 and activated the OData services but have not tried to use the corresponding apps (meaning that we have not done any other app implementation tasks because we don't really intend to for the moment).

Mixed content error for FIORI launchpad designer

Dear team,
I have activated a ERP trial on AWS via CAL. Fiori launchpad and designer opens and works properly but when I am creating new tiles in a catalog, none of information on tile gets saved.
I checked in Chrome console and following error is recorded when saving a tile:

Please open the launchpad designer with http (not https). If you can not logon via http, change the protocol to "Do not switch" in the SICF setting.

Error while creating Catalog in Fiori Launchpad Designer

Hi Experts,
We have installed the new UIX* Fiori components on our NW 7.31 front-end server which has the gateway installed as well. Our backend ERP system is a separate system.
I have activated the OData services /UI2/INTEROP and /UI2/TRANSPORT for the Fiori Launchpad Designer. I am acessing the Launchpad Designer with the URL http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html. (I have activated the ICF service /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn).
Now when I try to create a new Catalog (Standard type) by providing Title and ID I am seeing the below error message for POST operation in the PAGE_BUILDER_CUST service in Google Chrome browser:

Can someone let me know how I can resolve this error so that I can create Catalogs in the Launchpad Designer?

Custom SAPUI5 app in Fiori launchpad - wrong resource path

Hi,
I have successfully add custom tile for my custom app to Fiori launchpad, when the application is run from its location (https://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/zcart3/index.html) everything is ok, when I try to execute it from Fiori launchpad tile I got these errors:
Error - found in negative cache: 'view/App.view.js' from ../../resources/view/App.view.js: 404 - NOT FOUND
I think it is because SAPUI5 tries to load files from wrong location, so I have to somehow tell SAPUI5 framework where the files are...
in the index.html I have these entries:
data-sap-ui-resourceroots='{
"zcart3" : "./",
"view" : "./view",
"model" : "./model",
"util" : "./util"
I think I have to add something to Component.js file of my app .

many thanks for your suggestion, but I don't want to create Fiori application, I want to add my existing SAPUI5 application (which is working standalone) to Fiori launchpad, but when exetutes from Fiori launchpad, I got this error:
Error - found in negative cache: 'view/App.view.js' from ../../resources/view/App.view.js: 404 - NOT FOUND
Because FioriLaunchpad changed path to my application files from
/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/zcart3 to /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/resources,so the files of my app are not found...
please see chrome console output:
