SAP  for  slaughterhouses

Hi all , i need information      about any implementation of sap in  slaughterhouses , any relevant information i will be apreciatted. thanks.

Dear,
Catch weight functionality of SAP is useful in slaughterhouses.
The typical value chain within the food industry is a combination of two distinct strategies:
a) u201Cpushu201D - inbound delivery of livestock or raw material
b) u201Cpullu201D - outbound delivery of products
These two approaches are represented within the business scenario by 2 separate production
stages. The u201Cpushu201D approach is triggered by the Procurement business process. And the u201Cpullu201D
approach is triggered by Demand Planning and completed the Sales & Delivery business
process. These business processes are connected by inventory scenarios of slaughterhouses.
The item hog in sloghterhouse is represented in the system as a catch weight material, i.e., it is controlled in
two units of measure which ratio varies per animal; in other words, each hog has to be
accounted for with a different weight. In this business scenario, hogs are controlled in the
base unit of measure EA (each) and in the parallel unit of measure KG (kilograms).
IN production CWM  material was linked through a BOM to the primal cut process order BOM:
CW-PORK-PLANNING (planning material) => 40 KG
CW-HAM (header material) => 1 EA
CW-BELLY (co-product) => 1 EA
CW-LOIN (co-product) => 1 EA
CW-SHOULDER (co-product) => 1 EA
Independent requirements are defined for CW-PORK-PLANNING in weight (KG) and
u201Ctranslatedu201D to the lower level components in the logistical unit (EA). Thus, the planning
process can be held in weight units.
As an example, if 500,000 KG is defined as independent requirement for CW-PORKPLANNING,
12,500 EA are generated as dependent requirements for each one of the primal
cuts.

  • INBOUND MAIL PROCESSING in SAP for Offline ADOBE FORM Concept

    Hi to all,
Please can anyone tell me, what INBOUND MAIL PROCESSING in SAP for Offline ADOBE FORM?
What is concept and how to use it, is any program need to write for that or only need to configure it.
I have searched the SDN, but only get topic how to configure inbound mail processing.
I am new to this area; please any one put some light on it.
I shall be thankful to you for this.
    Regards
    Pavneet Rana

    Hi Pavneet,
Inbound processing of an offline adobe form consists of several things -
    a) an email id to be created on the server (to accept the mail & process the adobe form - this needs to have the right roles)
    b) the smtp config needs to be done by basis
    c) the abap developer needs to create a handler class that gets called when an email is recd in SAP. This handler class has 3-4 methods (first to read the mail and extract the pdf, convert data in pdf to the abap variable, process the form to do the specific function in sap (which will vary from requirement to another).
I found this blog very useful when I was getting my adobe form done -
    /people/thomas.jung3/blog/2004/09/09/receiving-e-mail-and-processing-it-with-abap--version-610-and-higher
    Hope this helps.

(ps: you might get more help in the adobe form specific forum in sdn)

  • Is there any table or report that available in SAP for any PR/STR

    HI All,
Is there any table or report that available in SAP for any PR/STR that are remain opened after S/O canceled.
    Please advice at the earliest.
    Thanks
    Chandru

    Chandru,
Of course.  The standard MD06 transaction will display ALL MRP generated exception messages, and will take you to the individual material to allow you to determine how you wish to respond to it.
So, MD06>enter the plant.  Optionally, enter the controller if you wish to limit the results by planner.
If you are interested in Sales order cancellations, then these exceptions would be categorized by SAP as belonging to the  "exceptions during Scheduling" or "exceptions during availability" groups.  On the Exceptions group tab, select these two items (6&7), deselect the rest. Enter.
You are now presented with a list of all materials that contain one or more of these exceptions.  From the menu bar at the top, select Edit>Find.  If you get a 'statistics' popup, click through.  Select the 'Find Exceptions' tab.
Message 26 "excess stock in individual segment" means that in a MTO environment, you have more supply than demand against given order/items (as you would have if a cust. cancelled his MTO order).  Select this message.
Message 20 "Cancel Process" means that you have a supply element that has NO requirements (as you would have if a cust. cancelled his MTS order).  Select this messaege.
Message 15 " Postpone process" means that you have supply elements that are scheduled to be received earlier that necessary (as you might have if a Cust cancelled his MTS order). Optionally select this message.
Clik the green check.  You will now notice that certain rows on the listing are highlighted.  These are the ones that contain your problem children.  Hit the "glasses selected MRP list" button.
This takes you to the first MD05 of the highlighted items.  Review the problem.  Decide what to do:  Cancel a supply element?  Push out a supply element? Leave it alone?  Call customer service to discuss which order was cancelled and why?  etc etc etc...
Once you are done with the first material, clik on the 'next material' icon or hit Ctrl-F2.  Repeat.  Continue till all materials have been evaluated and resolved.
This works for any other MRP message as well.

  • Assignment test in SAP for Logistic Invoice varification

    Hello Experts,
We want to carry out Assignment Test in SAP for Logistic Invoice varification asp er the scenario:
"The assignment text is a process step preceeding the invoice verification in background processing. The software checks cyclically whether an open goods receipt exists for the invoices entered in background processing. The software begins the invoice verification only when open goods receipts exist for an invoice. Effects on system administration are characterized as follows: the assignment test should be called in background processing before the report for the invoice verification, because the assignment test helps create the worklist for background processing. An assignment test is faster than a complete invoice verification in background processing, inasmuch as the software does not have to process as much data from the database and does not have to execute as many checks and reports. In addition, the software does not execute full assignment of the open goods receipts as in background processing; it executes only basic assignment"
Please tell me if anybody has executed this and the required settings.
    Thanks,
    Radhakanta

    Hi
The assignment filed material will be populated only for the documents after the Chnage in the G/L account.
This change will not effect the Previous documents
Mass change may not be posssible as accounting documents may not contain the same material.
    Thanks & Regards

  • One SAP for several company

We are using SAP as our ERP system. And now, we would like to add one more company into the system, Actually, the business of new comapany is totally differ to our existing business, and they are two entity. I would like to know, we use the existing to add new company or separate it into new SAP system. If add it into existing, anythings we have to concern. Thanks!

The way you described the New company term in different posts, it's really confusing. Is this only a separate company code along with other related Org. Units? And the some extra user for that? If yes, you can go on creating them in the same client and create separate role structure (with different naming convention) for better security and assign them to the new users.
And if it is different like: You are running one Cosmetics company through SAP and now want to implement SAP for other company, say Medicine,..... then you should forget about tampering your existing SAP Landscape. Please use new setup (hardware, OS, DB, ERP i.e. SAP etc...) for this.
New client in the existing Boxes will become Night mare in future.

    Dipanjan

    3)      What are the perquisites for Installing SAP for Professional Services?
    4)      Integration with Microsoft EPM server possible? To which extent?
    5)      Is SAP for Professional Services is available in any SAP Enhancement Package for ECC 6?
    Regards,
    Ravi Duggirala

Hi Ravi the following are my answers to your points:
    1) Can we install SAP for Professional Services pack on a running ECC 6 system?
    Yes
    2) What is the Impact on existing ECC 6 on this installation?
No impact on the existing set up. We have to add cProjects suite with ECC 6.0.
    3) What are the perquisites for Installing SAP for Professional Services?
If you are looking for full IS-Professional Services then you need CRM, ECC, cProjects and BW. If your organization is into NPD and if you have critical mass in resources then you can go for xRPM also.

I don't know exactly what is EPM?
    5) Is SAP for Professional Services is available in any SAP Enhancement Package for ECC 6?
ECC 6.0 service pack 11 will have some part of modules specified above. But CRM and BW are seperate modules, which needs to be installed seperately.
You can award points if at all this info helps you.
Apart from can you eloborate on your requirement. I can help you if at all you are interested.

  • Business Flow in SAP for courier Industry

    Hi,
anted how will the business activities flow in SAP for a courier industry configuration.
The complete scenarion from receiving a call from Customer in a call centre / directly by route agent to collection with status management and thereafter repacking for transfer to another HUB or distribution from the centre directly along with FI.
Request to please send me the complete process mapping in SAP.
    Rgds,
    Rajeev

    Dear Rajeev,
This courier concept is mapped in SAP through Service Notifications in Customer Service module.
The Service Notification  which is attended by the Call center has to be linked through the Action Boxes by configuring it whether or not to be notified to the concern Pick up / Delivery Agents by a pager or sms to their mobile and inform about this to the customer also simultaneously.
For this some ABAP requirements will be there.  Some of the Action boxes configuration need to set the workings via ABAP coding.
Again each notification status will be updated based on the actions taken for the process number.
The entire process scenario, you can get from the Customer Service Module.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks and regards.

  • Do we need to buy the license from SAP for EACH 'Z'form

    Hello
I heard that, we (company) have to take license for the development of EACH adobe interactive form (even though its totally custom brand-new interactive form created from scratch), on individual form basis, is it true? (i know, its free of cost to play around with interactive forms in DEV and QA, but, if we want to move them to PROD, in that case do we need to buy the license from SAP for EACH form individually?)
    Thank you

Thats true...license based on end user usage is required for SAP interactive forms. For more information read SAP note number 750784. The license comes in package like per 1000 users one time payment.

  • Configure SAP for server-side trust

    Hi all,
I am installing BusinessObejcts XI integration for SAP Solution. I need configure SAP for server-side trust. I have read BussinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solution Installation Guide. In chapter 6, It introduce how to configure SAP Server-Side trust. But I don't understand how to configure SAP for server-side trust, specially configure SAP Cryptographic. Would you please to give me more detailed explanation?
    Please advise,
    Duypm

    Hi Duypm,
the SAP server side configuration is part of the Installation Guide Chapter 6. It starts on Page 94.
If you unclear about this and what SNC configuration means for the SAP server make sure you talk to the administrator for the SAP system. You need administrative rights for the SAP system and the system will have to be restarted as outlined in the installation guide

  • BI and SAP for Mining

    Hi!
Has anybody implemented BI with SAP for Mining?
Do you have any information about BI Content, features, reports, differences...?

There are APIs to use the ABAP application AS to remotely read the files and return them externally (e.g. to a SolMan or BW).
See the reports which start with RSAU* for some examples. A known demo program is RSAU_READ_AUDITLOG_EXTERNAL which will show you how to make the calls. You can also find the meta data here for your BI reports (don't forget to read all the fields, parameters 1 to 4 are very usefull as well).
Regarding "other" transaction usage logs, I can only recommend being very carefull. They have been widely misused for security although originally intended for response time statistics per program, to watch for "early" indications of problems.
The security audit log is the correct tool to use - others are semi-co-incidental.
Personally I then also use an external call as needed to rattle through 15 different logs I know of using import parameters from the drill down (in SolMan or local with user name, start time, no. of hours) exported into a cronologically sorted list showing the origin of the entry. Here it is usefull to use the STAT data to show what the user clicked on before hand to give the other 14 logs a context, but does not tell you what they actually did (particularly after the aggregation takes place).
The main hassle is the output formats. You will soon learn to hate spool....
    Cheers,
    Julius
