SAP Freeze for 30 minutes

Dear gurus,
In our SAP production environment, SAP frequently hold for some minutes, ranging from 10 to 30 minutes.
When that happens, no users can logged onto SAP System (Waiting for system response in SAP Logon).
When that happen, I can't do anything except restarting SAP Server.
We rarely do an update record nor an intensive report program when that happened,
Where can I check the initial problem for this?
For information,
Our system running on AIX 5.2 Oracle 10.0.2.0 with 16GB Memory (SAP ECC 6.0).
The Detail:

Even when the users is only 5, the memory could drop to only 200MB in the server (as in ST06).
I do not know what consume the high memory.
Also, when I go to DB02, an see the space, it shows blank record.
That is, the used space, total DB size, is 0. I have checked that SAPOSCOL is running.

There could be more than one issues in your system.

When this happens, check ORAARCH directory under SAPDATA_HOME. If this directory is full, database goes to dormat state and until and unless this directory is free ( free space is there) database wont allow any user to get it.
What is the frequency of your archive log job? Check https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/391

Could you find any reason of this high memory consumption from OS level, you can check the PID from there and then from sm50 you can check which program is using maximum meory. Also check from ST02 what is the number of swapping for important buffers , like program buffer. What are the values of "Commit charge limit Kb" and "Commit charge free Kb" from ST06 when you see this memory bottleneck?

Run RSORAT0D report and then check again. Clickking Rfresh on the DB02 first screen will run this report for you or else you can run it from SA38 or se38 directly

ITunes freezes for minutes at a time with iPad

This is making me crazy! I sync my iPhone('s) and iPods with this computer, and while iTunes may slow down for a few seconds while the iPhone or iPod mounts, it is responsive almost immediately. Update! Now my iPhone freezes iTunes too... this blows!
With the iPad however, iTunes freezes for up to 2 minute with the spinning beach ball and shows up as unresponsive (duh!) in activity monitor. It finally starts synching and while doing so occasionally becomes unresponsive, but the synching finally finishes succesfully... eventually. I have removed and reinstalled iTunes 9.1 according to apple support protocols, but no real change. I have bit rate convert enabled, but it happens regardless of whether or not music is being added or changed. Have repaired permissions, disconnected various other USB devices, but no help so far... Anybody?

Your MyWebSearch plug-in is the cause of many problems. Google for information and advice on how to get rid of it.
If that doesn't help, you should work your way through this(Safe Mode,Problematic extensions etc ) -

IPhone 5s screen freezes for minutes at a time after iOS 8.0.2 install

My previously perfect iphone 5s has just been updated to iOS 8.0.2 and now for minutes at a time the touch screen doesn't work. The buttons do, but not the screen. It then comes back to life for a minute or two before it stops working again. Anything I can do? Thanx

It sounds like your phone touchscreen is not consistently working for you after updating to iOS 8. I can see how that would be pretty frustrating. It sounds to me like this could be a software issue or an issue with the screen itself. I would start with the troubleshooting in the following article to help troubleshoot the screen itself:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Troubleshooting touchscreen response
Restart your device
Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
If you can't restart your device, reset it by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Avoid using the device while wearing gloves, with wet hands, or immediately after applying hand lotion.
If you have a protective case, or if you are using a plastic sheet or film on the display, try removing them and testing the device without it.
If that does not resolve the issue, I would next quit all the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

For the past few days, firefox is taking a very long time to display pages, and often freezes for minutes at a time. Its very frustrating. It happens especially on facebook, but on every website lately.... what to do?

the amount of time it takes to load is so frustrating that i close firefox and use other methods 2 get onto the web. i would rather use firefox, but time is a commodity. please help.

- I've used Firefox exclusively for around 2 years.
- My outlook express has no problems
- other programs seem unaffected; it seems peculiar to Firefox.
- my main use is surfing the net, primarily entering competitions on line via specialist competition sites.
- every day at some stage(s) I have to switch computer off as Firefox has got very slow/sticky/freezes.
I'm not techy by any means, but I can only thing of un- and re-installing to hopefully start with a clean slate.

When I use Firefox and Hotmail at startup, Firefox freezes for about 1 minute, and then I can continue. First I though it was my computer but 2 other girls in my class have the same problem with Hotmail and Firefox. What can I do to change this?

When I start Firefox, about 15 seconds after I start it, my Firefox freezes for about 1 minute. I found out that it is my Hotmail that makes Firefox freeze.
First I thought it was my computer, but I have 2 other girls in my class that use Hotmail and Firefox and their computer also freezes for 1 full minute.

OS has been slow on program startup, freezes for up to 2 minutes

Hey everyone,
Have fixed many PCs in my day because they broke and I haven't had much experience on Macs because they just never seem to break and I am just not start where to begin troubleshooting. I have a refurbished (from Mac) Macbook Pro which I purchase about a year ago. 2.54 Ghz core 2 duo, 4 gb ram, running OS X 10.5.8 it recently has been freezing for long periods of time while starting programs.
When I got the computer it was running great, now it lags at certain times such as program startups and waking up from sleep. The freezes can range from 30 seconds to 3 minutes of idling where I can move the mouse around but the pinwheel spins and I can hear the hard drive working. It almost seems like some memory issue as if the computer is having a hard time getting going. It reminds me of windows computers that were infected with viruses that needed to be cleaned up. Sometimes it will run okay but other times if I open a program it will stall and take a while to open, most of the times when the program is finally open it runs smoothly.
The hard drive is 232 gb. I thought it might have been caused by space issues but when I freed up to 50 gb I still noticed the problem occurring. Right now I have 9 GB free - I know its low but I still don't believe it should be hanging for 3 minutes when I start some programs.
I am new to Macs but have troubleshooted many Windows computers and my question is where do I look from here? Is there a place that logs the computer activity during the slowdowns so that I can pinpont the issue?

I'm not sure what you mean by "crashing" but this is what has happened to me and a bunch of other users: When working with plugins that have visual analysis and with these plugins open Logic Pro lags very badly. You can't stop it. You can't make adjustments. You just wait for the lag to catch up, which sometimes takes up to two minutes, depending on the stress you are putting on the system. If this is the case with you as well, join the club. It's a problem that has been well-documented on here. It occurs for me when I open channel eq and have the visual analyzer button engaged. As soon as I open two instances I will get this lag.
I had a rather depressing conversation with a fellow at the top of tech support today, who still hadn't heard of this problem. All I can say is, CALL APPLE TECH SUPPORT!!! Make sure they know this is a problem you are having! Otherwise it doesn't get placed into the heirarchy of bugs that need fixing. That's exactly what I was told today and it made me very upset because I have called support, and I have seen that many other folks have done the same. Apple is so large a company they just don't take things seriously enough to need to fix them until they receive calls. So please, call if you can! Ask to be put on with second tier support.

Since loading Itunes update my Itunes takes about 3 to 4 minutes to load and then when it loads it freezes for about 3 minutes and then unfreezes. This happens with every restart. I've have deleted and reload four times but still get the same results. t

Now when I try to open Itunes using the short cut on the desk top it takes about 4 minutes or longer for the Itunes to start and then it freezes for about another 2 to 3 mintues and then starts. This happen everytime I try to open Itunes now. I even deleted Itunes from my hard drive and put it on my SSD to see if it would work and still nothing. I've always been pretty good at sloving my problems. But this one has me stumped. Is there anyone who as had this problem that would be willing to help me out. Router25. P.S. It only happen with this one application of software. Everything else loads up fast. This comput is about 1-1/2 years old. Most people would love to have this computer. 9 out of 10. Restore from backup. If the issue continues, restore as new.

First thing to try is a reset: Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

The next time you have the problem, note the exact times when it starts and ends: hour, minute, second.

I am running the latest iTunes, the latest updates to the OS and on an iMac 3.4GHz Quad core i7 with 8GB of RAM and the music stored on local HDD.
Still locks up iTunes for between 2 minutes up to 20 minutes.
Really annoying.

Computer freezes for a few minutes after minimizing/closing Photoshop/InDesign

So I've had this problem since I got the computer, but it has gotten much worse recently. After I work in photoshop and indesign for a few hours, I minimize both programs and the computer freezes for a good 4 or 5 minutes, even my winamp music player starts skipping. I'm thinking its the RAM that needs time to dump out the data and its doing it very slow.
I have:
Q8200 2.33 ghz overclocked at 2.51
8BG of RAM
ATI EAH4850 512MB
I'm thinking it might the overclocking or the Not so high quality of RAM sticks. please let me know of any other suggestions.

Thank you for the response. I disabled the overclocking and unchecked Export Clipboard. It seems to be a bit faster, but I haven't tried it extensively yet. I'm running XP x64, if that makes any difference.

I'm new to this, but in desperate need of help. Thought i'd give it a shot and let you know what my problem is!
Basically i'm editing a dance concert which is approx 2 hours long. I'm running a late 2011 model iMac w/ i7 Quadcore and 16GB of RAM.
Using Sony XDCAM EX 1080p footage (2 cameras). Everything was going so well until I rendered (not export) the footage overnight. It only rendered less than half of the footage and won't allow me to render anymore. Doesn't even show the details of the amount of frames.. estimated time etc.
Heres a screen shot -
I checked my hard drive space and there's 150 GB left so there's more than enough for it render.
Another problem is that any editing i do to the timeline whether it's trimming, moving, copying etc. It just lags / freezes for about 1-2 minutes (has the loading Icon) then goes back to normal.
Before I did the rendering last night, everything was fine. I was able to edit very smoothly without any lag or freezing. First time i've encountered this. I did the same production last year using the same cameras, file format and software version and it was fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Remove the gaps in your timeline or fill the gaps with black clips and try again.
