SAP Generated Report (RV13F501)

In Dev. there is a report that is generated (RV13F501) and that report is trying to access the table KOMGF, field ZZPartner. The problem is ZZPartner does not exist. In Test and Prod RV13F501 is not generated but RV13F502 is instead. Can anybody give me a reason why these two different reports are being generated in the different systems? Everything works great in Test and Prod but not in Dev. A consultant suggested that we delete the table KOTF501. Would that solve the problem? If so why? The only thing I can think of it doing is forcing the system to generate RV13F5202 instead of RV13F501.

These program are generated from objects such as copy requirements.
Use TCODE VOFM to look at the set up of these requirements. There will be one for the requirement 501..502.

Reading Archived Data Through SAP Query Report

Dear SAP Gurus,
My client archived their SAP data in a particular year range and all the Z reports have to modified to read these archive data. Normal ABAP reports can be modified to read the archive data without no problem.
But there are two Z SAP query reports which should be modified the same way so it will be able to read archive data.
What is the best method for this? Does SAP Query tool provide facility to read archive data? or do I have to append the code?

No, do not adapt the SAP generated report source. The reason is: every time someone re-generates the query from tx. SQ01 your changes will be lost.
You could add the functionality Manathan gave you to add to the infoset of said query - but to be honest: in my opinion that is shooting nuclear rockets at flies. Also you run the risk that every change of the infoset (add a join/delete a join) requires adjustment of said coding you applied ... and where will you be then? Fancy repairing the same query over and over again? Try talk sense to your client - go for a Z-report here ...

Generating reports in SAP BW. Pros & Cons of doing it.

Is SAP recommends to frequently generate reports in BW. The pros and cons of doing it. How frequently we need to generate reports? Can any body provide the information on this and it will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
There is actually no performance impact of creating multiple reports. Performance depends on how many reports you run parally. so it depends on the requirement. Whenever there is a requirement you can either create adhoc reports and use them or you can design specific reports for requirement.
At the moment in my system there are more than 500 reports. The only thing is the more you create reports maintainance effort increases. So you can follow some naming conventions to manage reports.

Unable to generate report for size of KM folder

hi all,
i want to generate report for size of folder in KM.I am havingthe following roles content admin,content management,system admin,home, are these roles sufficent to generate report or any roles are needed?
And other issue is after going into Content management role I am clicking reports workset but I am unable to see "Folder Size Calculation" option, any full access are needed to see it.
I am following help.sap link plz don't send it ,give me any other Material.
After starting the Km report in Resource Statistics its showing size as zero.
help me in sloving this issue.

Unable to change language for SAP BW Report Iview

Dear all
We are currently rolling out BW Web Templates can be displayed in both EN and MS languages. The language can be changed via the URL that we display, e.g.
For English Language:
http://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bw/BEx?SAP-LANGUAGE=EN&cmd=ldoc&template_id=ZTEST
For Malay Language :
http://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bw/BEx?SAP-LANGUAGE=7&cmd=ldoc&template_id=ZTEST
We have published these templates into Ent. Portal 6 using SAP BW Report Iview, but unfortunately we cannot view the report in the Malay language (SAP-LANGUAGE=7), even though we have inserted the command SAP-LANGUAGE=7 in the SAP BW Report Iview query string. All the reports, although defaulted to SAP-LANGUAGE=7 displays in English. We also tried to set the language settings for the Iview, but there are no language 7 or MS in the Iview. It can only be defaulted to the Portals language, which is English.
Note that the reports can be viewed in the different languages if we using the URL separately outside of Portal, and also within BW Bex Analyzer itself. Only the Portal doesnt allow us to view the reports in MS language.
Can someone help us on this matter? All helps really appreciated. Thanks a lot.

That's a bit odd indeed. If I understand your question correctly, you do get the BW reports in the correct language (either English or Malay) using the url's in your post but not when using them within a standard BW report iView?
The language setting for the iView has, unfortunately, nothing to do with the language for the content itself but can you tell me what the requested URL is for both Reports?
The BW Report iView is based on the Application Integration Component that generates the URL based on the paramaters you provide in the BW report iView.The following template is being used: <iView[PORTAl_URL]>?System=<System[url_Encode]>&Report=<Report>&DynamicParameter=<DynamicParameter[url_Encode]>. I could be that the generation of the URL fails due to the 7 (don't know why, just a gut feeling because it's the only thing that's different between those urls). You could try to use create an iView based on the Application Integrator instead (some more control over the URL template) but first you need to check whether the URL generated by the iView is correct.

Issue with SAP BW Report Iview

Hi,
The issue stands with the context menu(right click menu)
I have created a BI Query and generated a BW Report with the Web Designer Wizard.
When I run the generated URL it is working fine, with the context menu also working perfectly.
However when I use that report in SAP BW Report Iview, the report gets opened perfectly but the context menu is taking me to a new page with those options.
As of now i do not know of any setting for context menu specially.
If anyone can help me or if anyone has encountered this error before, pl. let me know the solution.

Difference: SAP BW Report iview - Query iView - URL iView

Hi,
I want to show BW reports on the portal. Can anybody suggest me the different ways of doing it ? And also let me know about checklist of steps that need to be performed.
Can anybody tell me the difference between showing BW reports through URL iviews, showing reports through Query iView and showing reports through SAP BW Report iView ?
Which one can i use for showing BW reports taking into consideration the implementation of SSO between the two? I tried the URL iView (using the Web URL of reports generated by BW) but it asks for Username/password. Is that the problem with SSO. How can i check if SSO parameters have been set or not. I have imported the verify.der to BW System and added that to ACL. Is there anything else which is required?

Hi Manoj,
I feel BW report iview will solve your problem. You can create a query sting in BW query designer and give the same in BW query string text area while creating BW report iview.
In the case of an url iview you are just giving a URL link of the BW report (this will ask for username/password).
But, in the case of a BW report iview you can view the required query as an iview (user mapping can be successfully done in this case) You should give fully qualified domain name in Was server option while creating the system.
While using the logon ticket Login id of both the system (ie BW and Portal) should be the same.

Issue in transaction code creation for sap query report .

I have a requirement to create transaction codes for sap query reports. I found two ways to create transaction code for sap query report
1) By Generating program for sap query report and creation of transaction code for that generated Program. in tcode.
2) By using parameter transaction options in start object of se93
What are the difference between creation of these two ways. Please specify the advantages and disadvantages of both methods.

After transporting to Production system I have used the code created in development system, but it is giving Error ' No Program Found for that Transaction Code. And I would like to know on what conditions should I have to use the First one and as well as a second one in sap query reports.

Syntax error in generated report

Hi,
I execute a transactions say VB21 and enter the sales org data and when i click the copy button, the processing takes place and finally i get a dialog that shows the generated log messages and which shows details like this..
status   mesage   Note
information 801   report rv13a944 generated
information 802   screen sapmv13a 2944 generated
errors      888   report rv13a921 has a syntax error
and so on.
Whats this transaction about ? and how do i debug the syntax error in the generated report ? Is this report generated out of ABAp query ? How do i trace this ? Any help ?

Total No of pages different in report printed using Crystal Report XI R2 vs SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8)

Currently in our application, we are using Crystal Report XI R2 for generating the reports. We are in the process of upgrading the Crystal Report to SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). I updated that on my machine and all the reports work fine. I didn't have to modify any of the reports.
However when comparing the reports, we found that there are few reports on which the total no. of pages differ from the report displayed using Crystal Report XI R2 vs SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). Comparing the reports, it looks all the data that were fit on one page earlier with version XI R2 doesn't fit on the same page with version 13.8, thereby increasing the page counts.
The fonts, page margins everything set on report itself. Nothing being set in the code.
Both the application is using the same report that is pulling the data from the same database. Our application is a web application.
Any suggestion, why this is happening.

I am not sure what is being compared here?
CRXI R2 designer to CRVS?
CR XI R2 in some version of .NET to CRVS?
CR XI R2 using RDC SDK to CRVS?
Also, is this happening on your development computer or after you deploy?
If you compare the the "Page setup" options dialog between reports that work and those that do not work, do you see any difference?
Is this a web or a win app?
Are you seeing the same issue when viewing and exporting - say export to PDF?
What is the printer driver used and it's version?

Every Query generated one program like AQZZ/FSCMA/IS===CDM_10_Q1=====
Go To your QuerySQ01 , run your query and From selection screen, check your program name after that you can search your added code. what you added in infoset but your breakpoint and debug your query code.

How to transport generated reports through report painter

Hi All,
We are upgrading from 4.6 to ECC6. Previously somebody created reports for Finance through report painter, now in the new system they are two to three system generated reports which are produced by report paintyer (I guess) are retrieveing wrong data.
So I debugged the generated reports and found two locations
1. generated report as syntax error
2. at selection it is having an additional filter with company code for each table like coss, cosp, cospp which I dont find that filter in the old 4.6 generated report, I modified the generated report but problem is that it dont give me any transport number.
So these reports are client specific, can any one suggest me how to transport these changes to quality and production environment.
I tried with transaction GCTR , but it is failing when it is released.
Can any one suggest me.

SAP Crystal Report Designer

Hi
Does SAP Crystal Report Designer ( which is used to design reports , where these reports can be used in WPF Crystal Report Viewer , WinForms Crystal Report Viewer has Localization support) , has localization support , can we generate custom language assemblies and bind to Report Designer?

What version of CR Designer?
Have you consulted your CR Designer Help files? I suspect searching the help file for "localization" will give you quite a bit of informatoin. Also, don't forget to use the search box in the top right corner of this web page.
