SAP GRC Installation

Dears,
We are planning to install GRC.Beinf new to GRC I have some doubts for it.
1- When searching for installation guide I found several components Like Access Control,Risk Managament..
We want to install all these component so I want to know do I need to install all these components sepratley on server or they can be install on a server and these components are independent of each other or do i need to install a common platform and on that i can install all required componenets.
2-I have searched a lot but not found any sizing guide for it,So please what should be hardware configuration for it.
Please Suggest.
Shivam

Hi Shivam,
GRC AC5.3 contains four components called
1)Risk Analysis and Remediation ( Previous Name Compliance Calibrator)
2) Compliant User Provisioning (Previous Name Access Enforcer)
3)Enterprise Role Management (Previous Name Role Expert)
4) Superuser Privilege Management (Previous Name Fire Fighter)
Depending upon your organisation requirement you have to install these components.
You can deploy these component in one netweaver server.
For Installation guides click on the links of SAP service marketplace below,
https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000718186&
Then click on SAP GRC Access Control 5.3 and you will get the list of documents of GRC AC5.3 which is the latest version of GRC.
And the GRC Sizing guide is available in the marketplace.
If you require any other info then let me know.
Reagrds,
Sudip.

• Installation of SAP GRC AC 10 without SAINT?

Hi,
We are facing the issue that some pre-installation requirements are not met - SP Level of SAP_BASIS.
SAINT doesn't support the installation because of missing pre-installation requirements.
Do you know another way to install SAP GRC AC 10 Plug-In's? We would like to test it in our Sandbox.
Thanks for feedback.
Kind regards,
Bianka

Hi Bianka
What SAP_BASIS version are you on? According SAP Install Guide 4.6C is minimum level. If system is older than that you might need to look at a legacy connector instead.
This post most likely belongs in a different community - Basis related for system installation question

• Installation SAP IDM 7.1/SAP GRC Access Control 5.3

Hello,
I can install Access Control products with Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal... But it is possible to install Access Controll 5.3 and IDM 7.1 on the same server?
Thanks and best Regards
Alexander

Hi Alexander,
SAP IDM 7.1 is still in the ramp up state. as per the product availability matrix [pam|https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001303&_EVENT=DISP_NEW&00200682500000002804=01200314690900001014] , I am not yet sure if SAP IDM is available for 64 bit servers.
SAP GRC AC 5.3 should be installed on as java netweaver
server after properly sizing. If your hardware can support sizing for both GRC AC 5.3 and SAP IDM 7.1 , then you can install both on them. usually netweaver 7.0 sp12 will be in 64 bit system.
You can get GRC AC 5.3 sizing information from [link|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000071612&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000112&_OBJECT=011000358700000435122007E]

• List of Issues/ problems in SAP GRC AC 5.3 Implementation

Hello,
Can anyone provide me with the list of most commonly occurring problems related to
1- SAP GRC Suite Installation
2- RAR Module implementation
3- CUP Module implementation
4- ERM Module implementation
5- SPM Module implementation
6- SAP PC 2.5 implementation
7- SAP RT Module implementation
8- SAP GRC Suite Upgradation.
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi Abdul,
As such there are no issues in implemeting the AC modules.
Just make sure that you undeploy previously installed SP before deploying the new Support packages.
1. You have to upload the initial file (xml files) again in CUP and ERM. These files should be corresponding to latest support pack.
2. upload the CC 53_Messages.txt file in RAR with every upgrade.
Also restart the server after deploying any following the above steps.
For RT you can follow the note 1225960, 1060673 and make sure to restart the server after configuring the SAP Adapter.

• Can SAP GRC AC 5.3 connect without any problem with SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise?

hello,
I went to the PAM in the SAP Marketplace to see if SAP GRC AC 5.3 could connect to SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise but I can't see all the "Add-On Product Version for...", it's cut off.
Can SAP GRC AC 5.3 connect without any problem with SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise?
If I can't is there any proof about it? I have to show it to a client.
Best Regards,
Pablo Mortera,

Pablo,
GRC AC 5.3 works perfectly fine with SAP's R/3 4.6c, mySAP ERP 4.7 and ECC systems. In fact we have two 4.7 Enterprise systems connected to GRC AC 5.3 system.
You can get the details of supported SAP ERP systems under prerequisite section of Info page of GRC AC 5.3 , it can be accessed on marketplace at -
Downloads-->Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group > SAP Solutions for Governance, Risk, and Compliance>SAP GRC Access Control>SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL>SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL 5.3
Just ensure to have proper BASIS and ABAP support pack level as mentioned in prerequisites.

• Role Upload template for SAP GRC CUP 5.3

Good Morning / Afternoon / Evening SAP Security Gurus,
I am looking to upload end user roles via a role upload template spreadsheet for use in SAP GRC CUP 5.3. I am referring specifically to the recommended template mentioned in step 11 of the 5.3 Post Installation CUP guide, so that roles can be picked within ERM for workflow.
According to the guide, it recommends uploading from the backend systems via a spreadsheet - any template versions or advice on finalising this would be most appreciated.
Best Regards
Steve

Thanks Ashish,
Someone else recommended this option as well via another forum. Have tried it out and working fine.
Thanks for the reply

• Upload of SU24 Auth. objects in SAP GRC AC 5.3

Hello,
We are in process of SAP GRC AC 5.3 implementation, and our SAP System is not updated to SU24 (Authorization objects), in which USOBT_C is populated.
In GRC AC 5.3 Pre-implementation checklist, it is mentioned about the above, being necessary.
If the SAP System is not updated to SU24, then what is the other way, to upload authorization objects in RAR Post-Install Steps, after we have already completed SAP GRC Tools ( all the SCA files) install and backend RTA installation?
Thanks!

hi
1. Create file (automated via batch job) from SU24 (report /VIRSA/ZCC_DOWNLOAD_SAPOBJ)
==> SA38 --> Background --> create a variant where you fill out the value for the server + filename (no extension needed for filename) --> schedule periodically
2. convert to UTF-8 format (how can this be automated?)
--> not necessary ; in my system it is UTF-8 by default
3. upload periodically into RAR via background job (from AIX based file system !)
--> configuration tab --> upload objects --> permission --> choose system --> leave local file blank and fill out server location (drive letter) --> click background and schedule the job daily. This is not a heavy job, therefore daily.

• Tcodes & Roles for SAP GRC AC 5.3 SPM in R/3

Hello,
After installing part of the SAP GRC AC 5.3 SPM in the Tcode SAINT (R/3).
I want to know what Tcodes do I need to use the Tcode /VIRSA/VFAT.
Or what type of roles do I need. Is there some.
I have read the PDF "SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance Access Control 5.3 - 02 Post-Installation - SPM.pdf", and I have seen some roles. Are this the standard roles for the SPM in R/3?
Best Regards.
Pablo Mortera.

Hi Pablo,
In 5.3 we can use the SPM by two different ways.
1. FFID based: In this you make a user as a FFID and then you use this FFID to perform all the actions.
User based roles are for the above.
3. Role based: In this you assign the roles(maintained in SPM) to the user.
Role based roles are for above.
The basic diffeence is in first one you use user (FFID) to perform the activities whereas in second you use role (which are maintained in SPM).
You can get more details of this in user guide and configuration guide.

Shweta

• Migrate SAP GRC AC 5.3 SP13 (System A - System B)

Hello all,
currently we have setup 2 SAP GRC AC 5.3 SP13 SAP instances (DEV / PRD) for the customer's SAP ERP system landscape. Those systems also contain some customer business functionality.
Because of business requirements the PRD Java Instance needs to be deleted and built up again from scratch with another WebAS Java Release Version (same SID, same Hardware, etc.).
Our plan is now to setup a dedicated Java instance which will contain the PRD installation of SAP GRC AC (new SID, different hardware, etc.) to avoid similar problems in the future. Therefore we have to migrate all of the RAR data from the "old" Java instance to the newly setup Java system. We especially need to migrate all of the RAR analysis data (e.g. SoD violation analyses of previous months, etc.), otherwise we would loose all of this information when the "old" installation is deleted and built up again.
I have checked all of the SAP documentation for SAP GRC AC 5.3 and only found these clues:
In document "SAP GRC AC 5.3 Configuration Guide v3.16 - Chapter Utilities -> Export Utility / Import Utility" it only says
something about exporting / importing rule sets, mititgating controls, etc. Can these tools also be used to export / import
analysis data too ?
In document "SAP GRC AC 5.3 Installation Guide v2.2 - Chapter Post-System Copy Configuration" it only says something about
steps to be executed if the SAP GRC AC installation was done via system copy. But there is no information about migrating RAR analysis data.
In document "SAP GRC AC 5.3 Operations Guide v2.1 - 7.2 Backup strategies" it says that in order to restore the system "you need to back up all tables with the following prefixes: VIRSA and VT". Can we simply do a backup of all of those tables, import
them into the database of the new system and the use the export/import utility to move all of the configuration etc. from the old system to the new one ?
Regards,
Benjamin

Hello Sunny, hello Frank,
thanks for the quick replies.
I did know about the SNOTE regarding the post migration steps, but the To-Do's Frank posted had some additional info in them.
One question remains still open though:
How to actually migrate all the GRC AC RAR data (incl. old analysis data) from System A to System B
Our intended course of action would be:
1. Deploy SAP GRC AC on System B (same Version, SP-level etc. as in System A)
2. Export all VIRSA* and VT* tables from DB of System A, import them all in DB of system B
3. Export all configuration, etc. from System A, import it into System B (using the export / import functionality within RAR)
4. Do all the post-migration tasks described by you
Would you agree with that course of action / know any pitfalls, etc ? We need to have all the "old" RAR analysis data from System A in System B after the migration because System A will be shutdown and deleted.
Regards,
Benjamin

• Not able to upload SAP GRC 5.2 rules

Hi All,
We are in the process of performing the Post Installation steps of SAP GRC CC 5.2
While we are trying to import rule set the system is creating/scheduling a background job. In the log there is a warning regarding the URL
WARNING: Cannot get Application URL: null. PLEASE SET 'Background Daemon URL' IN CONFIGURATION TAB
Pls guide us as to how to import standard SAP rulesets witout getting above warning message.
Also I dont understand why the background job is triggered when i am still trying to import the rules.
Regards,
Kiran Kandepalli.

Hi Kiran,
This is a common issue in GRC AC 5.2. Please follow the pre-implementation guide thoroughly which will take care of this issue. Look at the last section in the guide. Here is the link:

• CAreer in SAP BASIS comaprision with SAP GRC/Security

I want to change my career to SAP GRC/SAP Security, i have some basic knowledge on SAP Security,
COuld you please advice me, which one to choose,?
Does SAP GRC/Security has demand , and can we get oportunities to work abroad compared to SAP BASIS ?
which one has more scope SAP BASIS or SAP Security/GRC ?

Hi Rakesh
I saw your post in GRC and was waiting of it to appear here
First up - 2 years is still junior. You may find batch jobs, transports, monitoring, etc all mundane but it is a foundation and learning ground work and foundations to being a good Basis Administration. And one things for sure, an awesome basic (I name my best-techy-friend) makes a huge difference on project timelines and deliverables for the rest of us.
Installation and Upgrades come with time. Whilst still performing junior tasks you could focus on reading up on approaches in case an opportunity in your job comes us and be prepared to prove to your management that you are ready for a bigger responsibility.
Switching to GRC/Security would be pointless unless you have a desire to learn GRC or Security. These are my background and they are undervalued until things go wrong (insurance policy in a way).
If you do switch you will reset your 2 years of domain experience back to 0 and you will start off with password resets and basic user administration
It takes time to work through the ranks. It was 3 years before I got to build my first role. I spent my first few years in security on email chasing approvals, password resets, user account creation, running reports for audit - sounds familiar to what you are doing now?
You have to master the basics before you are trusted and ready for the more complex activities. By knowing what you are doing now you will be more successful when the time comes to step up and do migrations, upgrades and installations. Support production by mastering you technical analysis skills is how you can break through being a fresher/junior
Regards
Colleen
Ps - if your motivation is more than "good things" happy to answer questions specific to security and GRC.
Also, boring doesn't mean it can't get interesting nor does it mean it's a worthless activity: SPAU transport imported before patching!!

Hi Experts,
Hope you are doing well.

I need to do the lab setup of SAP GRC tool in our company .to do that what the setup we require (software and hardware). Its help me if you provable me in details.
As of now I have installed IDES ECC6 (Hardware: win 2003, 2 GB ram, 250 GB Hard disk) in company Lab.
Query,
1, what are software and server I need to setup to work on Sap GRC in LAB.
2, What are the added on software we need to SAP GRC Tool (In details)
3, Can I get SAP GRC (trial ver) and patch ( In details) . I have OSS id to download also in SAP Site
Thanks for your Support
Regards
keshava

1, what are software and server I need to setup to work on Sap GRC in LAB.: You need at the bare minimum a system running Netweaver AS 7.0 JAVA with SP12. You could run it on the same system as your ECC installation, but I would not recommend this in a production environment due to performance overheads.
2, What are the added on software we need to SAP GRC Tool (In details): In addition to your NWAS7.0 JAVA server, you'll just need the installation files downloaded through service marketplace and follow the configuration guide from the same place.
3, Can I get SAP GRC (trial ver) and patch ( In details) . I have OSS id to download also in SAP Site: I don't believe you can get a trial version of GRC AC 5.3, but you might consult your SAP rep to make sure.

<infAdProd>VLR. PIS R$ 6,81 VLR. COFINS R$ 31,44

<PED=4500159772/>
<UM=PC/>
</infAdProd>
Sendo assim, ocorre o erro abaixo:
<nm:ExchangeFaultDataExt xmlns:nm="http://sap.com/xi/NFE/common" xmlns:prx="urn:sap.com:proxy:NED:/1SAI/TAS8DFA2846CCAA9B6570C6:702">

</nm:ExchangeFaultDataExt>
Sei que temos algumas opções como:

Abs.
Rodrigo.
