SAP Gui 6.40 BeX Analyser problem (Run Time Error)

Really need some help
We get the following error in EXCEL 2003 when running transaction rrmx from SAP easy access:
Run time error 91 Object variable or with block variable not set
When debugging we get the following error message:
call pAddin.SetConnectionFromHandle(p_connectionObj).
We've rolled out the same package globally to all our users, some machines have this problem and some don't - which has been making this very difficult to resolve and troubleshoot.
We've tried patch level 29 of the GUI and this did not resolve.
I've read lots of threads relating to the .net framework and made sure all the service packs are installed, and also tried .net framework 2.0 and 3.0 - the problem still existed with both.
I'm really stuck and appreciate any guidance.
If we manually launch Analyzer (SAP BW 3.x) from the start menu, EXCEL and the BW add-in works fine... we only get the run time error when using transaction rrmx from SAP GUI.

OK, so I've done the following - which DID work and i no longer get the RUN TIME error:
-uninstalled SAPGUI
-uninstalled Office 2003
-uninstalled all .net framework versions + updates.
-install .net framework 2.0 with SP1
-install microsoft office 2003 + SP3
install sap gui 6.40 + patch level 29
However, if anyone out there has got an easier and quicker solution to this problem I'd REALLY appreciate it. I have got lots of our users with this problem and it took a long time to complete all the steps above.. there must be something easier to do to fix this...

I am trying to get my BIP Desktop to work. I have notice previous threads regarding the internet explorer security patches affecting BIP Desktop and my problem is similar. Here is my problem:
1. I installed BIP Desktop 5.7.146.
2. I start Template Builder for Word Language by selecting Start>Programs>Oracle BI Publisher Desktop.
3. A dialog box prompts for UI Language and I select English

Pogo problem/ run time errors

getting run time errors in pogo-- Line :16 error: object expected
line:25 'parent game is null or not an objected'
it happens in AOL but not IE 7.
i have removed AOL & reinstaled, removed Java & reinstalled

Pogo is a Java issue because you have to have Java installed before you can play games . Perhaps Java needs to work with Pogo to resolve these issues . I can't get to the game rooms . I used to be able to play using MSN 9 as my Browser . Now not even IE 7 will work . I keep getting taken to a Window , instead of the game room , that says : Ooooops ...there seems to be a problem Then below that it says : Java is either not installed or working properly . I have installed , uninstalled and reinstalled Java 6 at least ten times and still Pogo won't take me to the game rooms even though it says in the Pogo ToolBox that Java is installed and working properly and there are no Pop-Up blockers .

BEx Query designer : Run-time error '457'

Hey,
We installed the standard query's for HR. When we try to change the query 'Average age of employees', and we try to restrict on 'Calender year/month' then we receive this error.
Run-time error '457' : This key is already associated with an element of this collection.
We're using version 3.50.
I already saw oss note 517232 but that was for version 2.0 and not intresting for my case... Anybody any idea?

Check this conditions as I haven't checked the queries ......make sure that these two conditions are not getting into picture after you make the changes to the query.
1) When we are making restricted key figures we cant use same variable to restrict to two different Characteristics in the same RKF.
2)Once a Variable used to restrict a characteristic in one RKF you cannot use it to restrict it other characteristic in other key figures i.e. You can use it to restrict that particular characteristic only in other key figures.

Check the RFC connection of Source system. It seems that your rfc connection is not working properly. So make sure that you are able to establisthed the connection between these 2 systems.

This part is just the place in the program where the error occured, but why the error occured is mentioned earlier in the dump.
Maybe you have a too big number in the field and hence a field overflow, maybe you have a character instead of a number in the field.
Read the dump from the beginning. if you dont know how to read a dump,then try to get help from any local Abaper.

Run time Error 457

Hi,
We upgraded to BI 7.0, after upgrade the query is executing fine but while restricting a time characteristic the query throws an error "Run Time Error 457, this key is already associated with an element of this collection". This happens only in the production server, the query is working fine on development and test servers. When i try to access the variable associated with the time characteristic thru query designer the query designer window gets blocked displaying the same above message. I guess the error is related to Visual Basic of MS Office.
Please let me know the procedure for resolving the issue.

are you using BW 3.5 or 7.0 (BI nw2004as) ?

SAP Run time error

Hello SAP Fox,
I have problem, when I use T-code QS21 after completing data and try to save it the system terminate and says its run time error. The whole system is working great only above t-code give me trouble while I save the data.The error is following. Let me know what to do? Thanks for answering my email,as you said I go through QS29 and create number ranges exteranlly/enternally and save the no.ranges, but after I worked on Tcode QS21 and save data its diffrent type of error showed up as follow along with yesterdays error. If you think it is possible then I will hook you up on Team Viewer or any other source to get rid of this problem with out this T-code I am unable to work on equipment inspection and tesing/ calibration.

Getting run time errors while executing the copied SAP programs

i want to copy an sap program.after coping i need to change some coding there.then i have to create a new transaction for that.
i am just copying the sap program RQEEAL10(transaction-QA32) to Z_RQEEAL10. it has 4 include programs.i am copying them to z programs like
RQ00MF10 copied to z_RQ00MF10
RQALVF14 copied to z_RQALVF14
RQALVF16 copied to z_RQALVF16
RQALVTOP copied to z_RQALVTOP.
now i am executing that program Z_RQEEAL10.but i am getting run time errors as given below.

The error can occur when using the following options:

I will give you one more check point where you have to give your concentration while copying the standard programs....
Call Customer-Function (Function Exists) if any in the Program when copied will not get executed. Instead you need to call the FM Directly.

Run-Time Error '6' Overflow within BEx Analyzer after copy/paste query

Hi all,
User is getting a "Run-time error '6' overflow" message which is caused after copying any query in a 'query pack' to any free row/column within the same sheet (BEx Analyzer). This "query pack" has multiple queries within one sheet and covers 1800 rows so there is enough free space left for copying one of the queries to another position in the same sheet.
Microsoft Office Excel SP2 is used which is part of MS Office professional edition 2003. The BW version is 3.0.
Please let me know if more details are required or above mentioned error message is recognized and can be explained.

Hi VRV,
This error is caused whenever there is memory issue. If your query is built on a cube which has a BWA index then this problem can be related to the issue with the BWA server. Check your BASIS team to check if there is memory issue presently in the BWA server.
Sometimes the issue is temporary, where the several users accesing the reports to fetch data from BWA lead to this type of error as the BWA gets overloaded. Try exiting the report and run it after some time again.
Alternatively you can also try restricitng the selection for fetching the data in the report as suggested.

Now, it's all probably very nice - if you get to understand it. Which I don't! Gives me headache! lol
And we're having an exam soon. Hmm. Could someone please help to explain it a bit better please?
Oh and by the way, one of the examples mention something about T(N), which I presume is running time for the size of a problem.
So it said:

what exactly is it that takes N steps? How do I know
what takes O(1) steps
and N steps?Depends on what you're doing. Example: adding an item to a linked list of N elements will always take the same effort: attach it to the end. Whether the list already has 0, 10 or 1000 elements doesn't matter. O(1).
If you want to try and find the maximum value in an array of numbers, you need to look at each number in there. So an array with 1 number takes one look, an array with 100 numbers needs 100 looks and an array with N members needs N looks. O(N).
Does the parametres themselves take a step each? How
many steps does the body (as far as I've understood
it, it's c = c + 1; which is the body) take? And how
long time does it take?That body takes only one step. The question is whether you want to account for the repetition or not. If you don't, it's O(1) . There is no N to take into account. If you count in the repetitions too, you end up with an N - the number of times you call the body. So the effort O to run the body once is O(1), the effort to run it N times using the loop is O(N). It really depends on what the actual action is you want to look at.
