SAP GUI for Java 7.00 or 7.10 for mac os 10.4 or 10.5

Hi
From which site I can download SAP GUI for Java 7.00 or 7.10 for MaC os 10.4 or 10.5 version
Regards,
Harish Shetty

Hello Harish,
SAP GUI for Java 7.00 and 7.10 are no longer supported and as a result, are not available from SAPs download locations.
You can use SAP GUI for Java 7.20 on Mac OS X 10.5 in case JSE 6 can be installed (requires 64-bit Intel CPU, see [note 1400273|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1400273]).

  • SAP GUI 7.20 pro blem - the resource DLL for bitmaps cannot be loaded

    Hello guys,
I am fighting the problem all day long.
I've installed GUI for windows 7.20 , and it cannot be lauched because of the error message :
SAP GUI 7.20 pro blem - the resource DLL for bitmaps cannot be loaded
Maybe you know what exact dll is missing or how to repair the problem manually ?
    Thanks guys .
    Regards,
    Laimonas

    Thanks David,
I don't see any errors in the file - these can be found by searching for '1E ' (note the space after
    the E or '2E ' .
At the end of the logfile it shows:
C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp.Sap\SAPGUI_INST_720\Sap1F6\system\sapbtmp.dll' successfully copied to 'C:\Windows\system32\SAPbtmp.dll', so it does copy the file to the destination directory sucessfully.
I would suggest reinstalling the SAPGUI again but this time without any /package switches
    In the logfile it shows:
    NwSapSetupEngine.dll:     8.6.1.74
We recommend that you update your installation server with the latest sapsetup patch as per
    note below:
    http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1587566
You will also require .NET4 runtime to use the latest installer files.
run nwsapsetup again from the server and it should install again.
Any more errors, update the nwsapsetup.log file again.
    Regards,
    Jude

  • SAP GUI and Java reqs

I am putting together some documentation for the Java requirements for SAP applications on RHEL5 for customers.
Can someone sanity check this for me please?
The SAP GUI requires at least Java 1.5 to run, so a customer should install the Java 1.6.0_16 version from Sun.
1.Download the Sun JRE from http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp.
    2.Install the Sun JRE.
3.Set the PATH variable so that the Sun JRE is the default version of Java. You can verify this with the java u2013version command.
4.Install PlatinGUILNX_9.JAR from SAP to install the SAP GUI.
The SAP engine on the other hand requires version 1.42 JDK. Moreover, the only JDK supported for 64-bit Linux is the IBM version.
    1. RHEL 5.4 and newer ships with the right IBM JDK so install the IBM JDK. By default, it will install in /opt, so we show the path for the IBM JDK as /opt/IBMJava2‑amd64‑142 in our instructions.
2.SAP NetWeaver 7.0 requires strong encryption. You need to obtain and install the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files for the IBM JDK you are using beforehand starting the installation. Register to download the JCE files at https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?source=jcesdk and download the ZIP file from https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/reg/pick.do?source=jcesdk&lang=en_US.
2.The file you download is named unrestricted.zip. Copy the file named unrestricted.zip to /opt/IBMJava2‑amd64‑142/jre/lib/security directory.
Do not unzip the file. Instead, copy the archive.

    Hi,
That's a good documentation, but what do you mean with
4.Install PlatinGUILNX_9.JAR from SAP to install the SAP GUI.
You should post where to download that file, some days ago I downloaded a new version of SAPGui for Java ( 720 ), I don't know what version of SAPGui for Java is PlatinGUILNX_9 or where  can I download that version, I downloaded my SAPGui for Java from:
    ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/java/
You can see different versions and releases... 720.

  • SAP GUI for Mac OS X 10.4

I want to upgrade my Macs to Apples current operating system Mac OS X 10.4.1 Tiger. I had read few weeks ago, the JAVA-Implementation doesn't work with any SAP GUI for Java. SAP has recommended, to still work with Mac OS X 10.3.9 and SAP GUI for Java 6.30 Revision 8.
When will be available a working SAP GUI for Mac OS X 10.4.1 Tiger ? Has someone informations ?

    Hello all,
I completely understand the impact of the missing Mac support. I try to explain the reason for the current situation and give an outlook.
Starting in summer 2004, the SAPGUI development team and test labs have dedicated a significant amount of time in testing on Mac OS X 10.4 preview versions, reporting bugs and pushing Apple to fix them. We opened more than 20 bug reports, which were not exclusively related to SAP GUI, just plain JFC/Swing issues. Unfortunately two show-stoppers for SAP GUI were left at the time Apple shipped Mac OS X 10.4.
Since April this year we are running more tests on developer preview versions of the Java 1.4.2 Release 2, which is supposed to address these issues.
With developer preview 3, there are no severe open issues left and we are just waiting for Apple to ship the final version of JRE 1.4.2 Release 2.
Apple has not disclosed any shipment schedules in the past and so we have not been able to plan for something. If we would have known in advance, that the final version will be that long after developer preview 3, we would have started a beta seed based on a TEA (test and evaluation agreement) at the time developer preview 3 was available (beginning of August).
Last week Apple has indicated that the final version of Java 1.4.2 Release 2 is expected to become available every day now. I hope Apple is right and this thread will be obsolete soon. SAP GUI for Java 6.40 rev 4 including the Mac OS X version is already waiting on the loading ramp.
If there is no final version of Java 1.4.2 Release 2 by end of September we will provide an unsupported SAPGUI based on a test and evaluation agreement.
    Best regards

  • Does a SWC defined for Java not update the Standard SAP SWC changes?

    Hi,
I am facing this problem on 7.0 SP 13 box.
I have a standard SAP provided SWC.
There is a field in data type with occurrence - min 5 max 5.
I wanted to change it to 0...5. SAP has provided me a note and after applying, it is seen in the imported standard SWC.
There are 2 SWC using this mesg (through dependencies of SLD).
    1. SWC for Java system.
    2. SWC for ABAP system.
Under the BASIS objects of SWC for ABAP I can see the new data type with 0..5 occurrence.
But under the Basis objects of SWC for Java, I cannot see the new changes. It still shows up 5..5
I updated SWC, re imported, deleted and re created the dependencies in SLD.
None showed up the currect occurrence in SWC of Java.
Can someone who faced a similar problem explain me if SWC defined or a Java system doesnt show up these updates?
    Venkat

    Hi,
Please try to re-import SWC again in Java to reflect correct changes.

  • How to read the configuration for SAP GUI elements in Plant Maintenance module from SPRO and leverage the same in NWBC for HTML.

    Dear Members,
    Greetings for the day!
I am working on NWBC for HTML in Plant Maintenance module.
We have configured some changes in SPRO for customizing the UI elements( like visibility, mandatory ) like tabs and fields in transactions like IW21( Create Notification).
As of now separate parallel configuration needs to be carried out in NWBC for HTML in PM module to achieve the same UI features for creating notifications and this is time consuming.
Is there any way to read the configuration done in SPRO for the SAP GUI's and leverage the same in NWBC for HTML.
Appreciate your time in responding to this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ram.

  • Export SAP GUI Logon system properites to another laptop

    Hi, SDN Fellows.
I want to run SAP GUI logon systems in another laptop. After installing a new SAP GUI client. Instead of re-add the logon system properties, is that a way I can export and import from another laptop? Say I have 10 logon system properties (some with application server and some with logon groups), how do I pick the 8 of 10, and export to another SAP GUI in another laptop?
    Thanks,
    Kent

    Hello Kent,
for SAP GUI for Windows 6.20 or 6.40, please have a look at [SAP note 512040|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/512040], for SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 refer to [SAP note 1035560|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1035560] and for SAP GUI for Java please read chapter 7 of the manual included in the SAP GUI for Java installation.

  • SAP GUI 7.10 - What are your experiences?

    Hi All,
We are considering updating our GUI from 6.20 to 7.10.  Has anyone out there done this?  If so, did you come across any problems i.e. versions of Windows that it does not work on?
Has anyone used the GUI in a Citrix environment?  If so, was there a greater overhead on the servers?
Does the GUI have any compatibility issues with older versions of MS Office?
Any comments will be gratefully received.
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi
There are some points that are defined and you must have read these in the documents:
    a) *SAP web dynpro Active Component Framework (ACF)* - framework to integrate Active Components (ActiveX / Java Applets) into the Web dynpro.
At the present there are two supported Components:
              Office Integration
              Adobe Integration
    b)  BI pre calculation service for MS Excel u2013 you can install BI frontend as a standalone.
SAPSprint u2013 server-based printing on Windows (formerly SAPLPD)
SAP GUI Screen Reader Extension u2013 an interface allows a screen reader to access the SAP GUI object model at runtime and select the required information for speech and Braille output. It is based on SAP GUI Scripting API.
    c) In case GUI was installed from an installation server users have the possibility to enable automatic update from this server.
    d) System tabstrip of SAP Logon pad has a new popup window with tabstrips
    e) New frontend editor u2013  for ABAP programming. Is integrated to ABAP workbench (TA: SE*), SE38, SE37, SE24). Its new user interfaces and is completely customizable. Frontend editor integrates all modern code editing features like: code hints, code completion, .
    f) New debugger u2013 has a high volume of new and known functions that can be called using menus or icons. It requires an additional external session where it runs.
But there are some problems that we faced:
    a) Sometimes it happens that after installing this gui the Internet Explorer corrupts.
    b) Users faced some initial trouble to add the new systems in SAPGui as it is little bit complex.
    c) Some performance issues when used on low end desktops.
    d) But make sure to make a copy of *.xla file. It may give you problems.
But strangly when we installed for Citrix we were happy that we were out or any big problems.
Here are some notes for your reference
