SAP GUI Shortcut, Restriction of the number of paramters?

Hello Experts,
I try to call a SAP-Transaction via a SAP-Shortcut of the shape
>>>>>>>>>>>
Name=DE1
Client=800
Name=nli_klose
Language=DE
Command=*ZNLICCM_B2B2SAP P_TA=DA;P_FELD1=DEXTASKID;P_VALUE1=JMmsokyM1V3X00002cCHdG;P_FELD2=IDOCNUMBER;P_VALUE2=0000000002463313;P_FELD3=WB;P_VALUE3=00000000000000475767;P_FELD4=WI;P_VALUE4=000015401198;P_FELD5=VDEWTYPE;P_VALUE5=UTILMD;P_FELD6=VDEWVERSION;P_VALUE6=4.3;P_FELD7=REFERENCEID;P_VALUE7=000000546394;P_FELD8=STATE;P_VALUE8=SUC;P_FELD9=ACKNOWLEDGEMENT;P_VALUE9=CTN;P_FELD10=PARTNER;PVALUE10=9870050400000;P_FELD11=SENDER;PVALUE11=9800015600006;P_FELD12=CLEARINGCODE;PVALUE12=null;P_FELD13=CHANNELID;PVALUE13=OUT_LIEF_GAS_SAP

It works fine if I specifiy parameters up to P_FELD4/P_VALUE4 . The corresponding parameter transaction definitely has all the parameters specified above in the 'Command-line'.
When I switch to debug mode all the following parameters from p_feld5 on are initial.
Does anybody know whether there is an restriction in terms of length or number of parameters?

Ruediger

Hi Rüdiger,
sorry, I saw it too late that you posted the SAPGUI information.
As you have parts like "P_FELD2=IDOCNUMBER" in your parameter string, I guess this is for a generated link file and the parts like IDOCNUMBER are replaced by distinct values. Make sure that in this replacement process everything runs correctly. I have no idea ho the system respond if you pass invalid values and I do not know if the replacement process inadvertently cuts the file.
Try tith one parameter first, then add parameters one by one. The moment it does not work, check the file, try with different value.

Clemens

  • SSO to mulitple SAP GUI based systems in the Portal

    Hi Experts,
    I need to create links for multiple SAP Systems (based on the SAP GUI) in the portal and implement SSO for them. Can someone tell me where and how to place these links in the portal? Is there a standard approach for this, like a "Systems" iview or something?
    Regards,
    Shobhit

    Hi,
    So have you created 5 diiferent systems on Portal corresponding to your backend systems :
    SAP ERP Dev
    SAP ERP Qua
    SAP ERP Prd
    SAP CRM Dev
    SAP SEM Dev
    Once you create the systems and the alias to these systems, you can create 5 iviews, one for each of these systems using SAP transaction iviews. The transaction code could be S000.
    To learn how to create systems and SAP Transaction iviews, use these links :
    <b>Creating system :</b> http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/ec/0fe43d19734b5ae10000000a11405a/content.htm
    <b>Editing system -> Editing SAP System properties </b> http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/11e43d19734b5ae10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
    The above links should help you create SAP systems and their aliases.
    Then you need to create SAP Transaction iviews:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/88/266a3e54a2e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    To open these iviews as a pop-up or in a new window, set the following property for each of these iviews in the property category "Drag and Relate" : Launch in New Window = Display in separate window.
    Set the <b>permission Read for Group Everyone</b> for each of these iviews.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Sunil

  • New patches for SAP GUI 6.40 and the Screenreader Extension

    Hi,
    patch 10 for SAP GUI 6.40 and version 8 of the screenreader extension have been published on service.sap.com and ftp.sap.com.
    Best regards,
    Christian

    Hi John,
    short update: I talked to the service market place team, and unfortunately the software corner is not a standard SMP site, so the nice features you know from other pages are not available, and won't be in the near future.
    I will post news about new patches here, but as mentioned this is not part of the official workflow and may not always happen, for example when I'm on vacation

  • Can printing of payment advices be restricted by the number of items paid?

    Hi friends,
    Is there any way, through configuration, to restrict the printing of payment advices only when minimum 5 invoices are paid for a vendor? We do not want payment advices to be printed when a payment is made for less than 5 items.
    Regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    Just in case you have not looked at ...Try this.....
    In FBZP - payment method per company code - pyt adv.ctrl - Restrict the number of lines in payment medium to 5 rows and select "pymt adv after ...lines"
    Here on the payment medium number of line items in the note to payee will contain the 5 line items. If more than 5 invoices are paid then a separate payment advice is printed.

  • Restriction to the number of forwards in one request?

    is it true, that the number of forwards you can do in one request is restricted?
    someone told me, that ther is a restriction of 2 or 3 forwards since the servlet spec 2.2.
    he told me further, that only the servlet engines, which follow the spec strictly, have problems with more forwards.
    i have already tried to find any statement in the spec, but without success.
    has anybody out there watched this problem?
    thank you for helping me!

    ok, i have found somehting in the spec:
    "The forward method of the RequestDispatcher interface may only be called by the calling servlet if no output has been committed to the client... If the response has been committed, an IllegalServletException must be thrown."
    But I see there no limitation in the number of forwards, as long as I do not make a response.
    Is that right?

  • Are there restrictions on the number of files i can work on trial version of elements 13

    i am currently using the trial version of pe13 and have been editing and saving  images - after about 10 images (all saved 2-8MB) the file sizes have shrunk to less than 1MB even though the edits and stuff i am doing to the images is exactly the same - what's going on as i want to print these images, please help!?

    No, no restrictions with the trial version other than you cannot use it beyond the 30 day free trial period without buying it.

  • On a IPad is there a restriction to the number of emails it access? Say there's 100 messages in my inbox but when I look at my inbox on my Ipad it will only show 50 of the most recent emails. Is there a way to see all 100?

    Say there's 300 messages in my inbox but when I look at my inbox on my Ipad it will only show 200 of the most recent emails. Is there a way to see all 300?

    Not sure whether you are saying that you have more than 200 emails in your Inbox, or that 200 are in the Inbox and the others are in other folders. If the first then (I don't have more than 200 emails in my Inbox) but if you do and want to load more then do you not get a Load More Messages option if you scroll down to the bottom of your Inbox ?
    If you want to be able to search multiple email folders then I don't think that you can do it within the Mail app itself, but the spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right) can - you can control what is searched by spotlight via Settings > General > Spotlight Search

  • How to read the configuration for SAP GUI elements in Plant Maintenance module from SPRO and leverage the same in NWBC for HTML.

    Dear Members,
    Greetings for the day!
    I am working on NWBC for HTML in Plant Maintenance module.
    We have configured some changes in SPRO for customizing the UI elements( like visibility, mandatory ) like tabs and fields in transactions like IW21( Create Notification).
    As of now separate parallel configuration needs to be carried out in NWBC for HTML in PM module to achieve the same UI features for creating notifications and this is time consuming.
    Is there any way to read the configuration done in SPRO for the SAP GUI's and leverage the same in NWBC for HTML.
    Appreciate your time in responding to this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ram.

    This configuration is weird little bit. There is MatchExpression /app1 and MatchExpression /app2 and at the same time two <Location /weblogic> sections. Are you sure you understand what that configuration stands for?
    Try something like this ...
    <Location /app1>
    SetHandler weblogic-handler

  • SAP GUI 7.2 Crashing after server selection

    Hi everyone,
    I'm having an issue with one of our users. It has been working fine before. Windows 7 32bit. Whenever she selects a server to log in to it just closes out SAPGUI. I have tried reinstalling, updating to the latest patchlevel and removing everything SAP related off the machine. This is only happening to one user. After figuring out how to make logon traces I've been trying to figure out the logs. One log that caught my eye was GUIDLLEN.trc.

    Any idea on why this is doing that? I would rather not reinstall the OS on the machine.

    Hello Jun,
    You may be lucky if it installs.  By the time Windows 7 came out SAP had de-supported SAP GUI 7.20.  The SAPSetup.exe release may not be able to recognize any recently updated Microsoft OS DLLs necessary for installation.
    However, I would recommend you check the services file to ensure the necessary ports are correct and that either your local firewall or network firewall isn't blocking any of these ports.  This should clear up the error: "Cannot connect to message server".
    I can also see there is a permission issue with open, write read with %sfile.  Can you ensure this has administrator permission's or permitted to do these activities.
    Cheers,
    Dan Mead

  • Insert Button on SAP GUI Logon Screen

    Hello,
    is it possible to insert a button on the SAP GUI logon screen like the "new password" button?
    We want to insert a button, with which the user can generate a new initial password, if he has forgotten his password.

    Well, I'd propose to leave the SAPGUI screen untouched but only place a comment on the logon screen (see [note 205487|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/205487]) which informs the user on a URL to a web application (BSP) which provides the desired "forgotten password" self-service functionality.
    In the internet you find many examples of such "forgotten password" self-services - good ones and not so good ones. What all of them have in common is the requirement that the user has provided a valid email address or mobile number (during the account registration) which can be used for the required off-band communication. However they differentiate in the way they try to mitigate misuse: some prompt for a so-called passphrase (in most cases: the user has entered a free-text answer to a question chosen from a fixed set of predefined questions, during accoutn registration) before sending a newly created password to the email address retrieved from the user account; others generate a (random) "password change token" which they send to the email address and prompt the user to enter this "password change token" on the webpage (the account remains untouched until the correct "password change token" was entered, in most cases this is also time-restricted). I prefer the latter one.
    Cheers, Wolfgang
