I have downloaded the RDS SAR file .Can you please tell me to install it .

SAP Executive HR Reporting rapid-deployment solution

Hi,
I am trying to install the SAP Executive HR Reporting rapid-deployment solution, but I can only find the Configuration Guides and install files to the Solution Manager in the SAP Software download center.
What I can't find is the .lcmbiar file with the pre-configured dashboards. Can anyone in here help me?

Rapid Deployment Solution for SAP CRM - Landscape

Hi
For the first time we have applied the Rapid Deployment Solution for SAP CRM ITSDO into our new DEV system. The activation of this RDS creates 2 transports (one WORKBENCH, one CUSTOMIZING)
I now need to apply the RDS to our QA and PRD systems - is it enough to just transport the 2 transports or do I need to do the entire activation again in both QA and PRD systems?
I would really appreciate any assistance here.

Just wondering how you got on with those transports.. Was it sufficient for you to release the Solution Builder transports to target system or did you need to carry out manual activities in the target system?
Also, What did you do with regard to activating the reporting client in the target system? did the transport take care of everyting?

Search this query in FI Controlling forum am sure you will get useful results there.
This kind of reports related to Controlling are usually created using Report Writer tool.
In fact majority of reports in Controlling component is created using Report Writer only.

SAP HANA Current Revision and how to update

Hi All,
I would like to know how we can check the current HANA IMDB server revision version, are there are specific Linux commands to check the revision on the HANA IMDB server? Also I would like to take your inputs to learn how to update the revision for HANA server. Can this be done using the HANA unified installer?

Thanks for the inputs, thats very helpful. The HDB version command gives the HANA version and revision details. Currently we are on HANA 1.0 SP3 Revision 20 and looking forward to upgrade to Revision 21.

I would like to know if the only way to update the HANA revision from 20 to 21, is to follow the steps in the HANA automated update guide and set up the components for automated update, then do a revision update? Is there a manual way to do it, but none of the HANA guides mentions how to manually download a specific revision package from SAP service maket place and update the revision version. Please let me know if I missed any guide that talks about this?

Link Finance and Controlling / Subledger tables extractors

Hi experts, I would need your help for following scenarios.
We would like to have the ability to extract profit centers from New GL tables, for below scenarios:
Issue 1: Profit Center is not in the controlling tables/ flows.
It is required to extract Cost Center from CO tables / extractors, but this table does not contain Profit Center.
Requirement: extract Profit Center from new GL line item table: FAGLFLEXT, for the equivalent CO Document.
Is it a standard New GL extractor that link CO documents and New GL FI document . How was this managed in your previous projects?
Issue 2: Profit Center is not Customer/Vendor Subledger tables
It is required to extract data from AR Subledger tables, but these tables do not contain Profit Center. Table BSID
Requirement: extract Profit Center from new GL line item table: FAGLFLEXT, for the equivalent Subledger Document.

or wise versa it should give yoru whatu need.
or search help.sap for fields you need to see which cubes its using and install that content. and create amultiprovider and join them.

The RDS, you mentioned, covers the integration of SAP ERP HCM to Successfactors. We have mainly 3 scope items in this RDS: The Transfer of Employee Data, the integration of Compensation, and the Integration of the Recruiting solution.

SAP HANA XS and SAPUI5 - how to live update a chart?

we are developing with SAP HANA Developer Edition and SAPUI5.
We read data with an XSJS File out of the Database ( i read the recent 40 datasets of the table with an SQL statement and LIMIT).
This is the code in my controller.js which calls the XSJS service that reads the data out of HANA DB.

Then in my view.js i set the model for the line chart and i can see my data.

What i want to do now is to live update the chart in regular time intervals, i am using SETINTERVAL ( you can also use jQuery.sap.delayedCall ) for that:

setInterval(updateChart, 5000); // every 5 seconds refresh the chart
And this works fine BUT the COMPLETE CHART (including x-axis and y-axis) is drawn again every 5 seconds , what i want to know is how can i realize it so that ONLY the DATA LINE is drawn again every 5 seconds?
It would be great if anyone could help me regarding this issue?
It must be possible to do a live update of a chart especially for cases where you get steadily new data that has to be visualized.

yes i tried that some days before but it did not work. After your message here, i tried it again but same result, what i get after some seconds is "No Data". Moreover i am not quite sure how to set the data with model.setData().
What i do is the following, maybe you know if there is a mistake: this is the code for updating the chart in the controller.js:

I use the same cmd parameter and i call the same xs service method "loadChart" (which always returns the newest datasets - data is continuosly pushed in our HANA DB) that initially loads the data for the chart.
I get no error messages in my browser.
When i do oController.update(oController) in my view.js after 5 seconds, i get "No Data" but analysing the data in browser shows me that the xs service returns the data, so data is definitely there.

and IDES ECC 6.0 EhP 6
Background:
Trying to implement ERP Profitability Analysis accelerator for SAP HANA. We completed the configurations successfully as per the RDS building block guide
V29 – ERP Finance and Controlling Accelerator with SAP HANA General Configuration and VD1 – ERP profitability Analysis Accelerator with SAP HANA Configuration
We could also see the tables (with data) replicated to HANA via HANA Studio.
And all the statuses at tcode KEHC shows as green.
Issue Description: When we try to test the Accelerated Transactions like KE91 kind of drill down reports
Execute.I get the following pop-up. So, here Since I need to get data from HANA I select NO button
Surprisingly I get the following error message.
We have tried with other Accelerated transactions like KEU5,KEUB.But I get the same pop-up msg, and get the same error msg at status bar .
Any help in this would be very helpful.

I realized, this join path 'JP01' error msg I am getting even when running column views at HANA SQL editor.
Could not execute 'select VRGAR, sum(vv010001) from "ERPTRI_800"."CE2CE4IDEA_HDB" group by vrgar' in 386 ms 128 µs . SAP DBTech JDBC: [2048]: column store error: search table error: [2920] invalid schema: found inconsistent join path "jp01" for viewattribute "MANDT" with fact table "ERPTRI_800:CE4IDEA" on olap index; for cube ERPTRI_800:CE2CE4IDEA_HDB
Actually, All these Column Views and its underlying tables are got created from the given RDS solution only. Not sure why is this errorgetting triggered.IS this kind of bug in RDS solution?!!

Query about ABAP future in SAP HANA

Hello Experts,
I have read many articles and SDN post about SAP HANA but does not get clear answer.
I am having 7 years of experience of SAP ABAP and wanted to learn ABAP in SAP HANA.
I learn that SAP HANA is having its own language also as SQL script in earlier release but would this be using also in current and future.
So would learning of SQL script give more advantage and how can i get started learning ABAP in SAP HANA.

Universe based on SAP HANA OLAP connection

Can I create universe based on SAP HANA OLAP connection ?
How can i access SAP HANA view which was created using OLAP connection in WEBI and Dashboard? It does not allow creating Universe on top of SAP HANA OLAP connection and give an error.
SAP BusinessObjects query and reporting applications can directly connect to OLAP SAP HANA connections. No universe is required, only a published OLAP SAP HANA connection.

OLAP connection are only meant for tools that make use of OLAP connectivity only like BEx ..and HANA analytic views and calculated views are also treated as OLAP cubes for them..
So these connection is only available with analysis product like Analysis Office (which is meant to be used with Bex or OLAP cubes ) and Design studio which is again mainly built around OLAP paradigm..
You can not create a universe or Webi on Olap connection on HANA as of now.. However it could be like exposed in a future release of BO which is not public yet...

It has a list of the algorithms, which are pretty disappointing, I must say. No Random Forests? No ensembling methods? Given that it's using R algorithms, I must say this is a missed opportunity to beat products like SPSS and SAS at their own game. If SAP were to include this functionality, they would be the only BI vendor capable of having a serious predictive tool integrated with the rest of the platform.... but this looks pretty weak.
I can only hope a later release will remedy this - or maybe the SDK will allow me to create what I need.
As things stand, I could built a random forest using this tool, but I would have to use a lot of hardcoded SQL to make it happen. And if I wanted to go down that road, I could use the algorithms that come with the Microsoft/Oracle software.
Please let me be wrong........
