SAP HANA Marketplace in HCP account dashboard redirects to an error page

Hello,
The SAP HANA Marketplace seems to be pointing to http://marketplace.saphana.com/hcp which redirects to http://sapappcenter.com/pages/error/errorPage.
Of course the URL can be edited to http://sapappcenter.com/ for it to work, it's just to bring it to your notice.

Hello Vinod,
please se update to the latest version your "SAP HANA Cloud Platform Tools for Connecting to SAP HANA Systems" plugin. This issue was fixed in 1.10.0 version of this plugin.

How to redirect to an error page when database is down

We have build an struts/jsp-application with JDeveloper 10g and ADF. If the connection to the database fails, we get a plain page with header "500 Internal Server Error" and the exception and a stack trace. Of course we want to catch this exception and redirect the user to an error page with all of the standard design elements of our site and with a textual description of the error of our one choice.
Our attempts to solve this includes adding error-page tags with error-code and exception-type:

Are there other ways to do this, or are there things we have forgotten to do, that has to be done for this solution to work.
We have also tried try and catch in a variety of the lifecycle methods in the DataAction subclass for the page, but none of these are ever called. It seems the error happens before the first lifecyle method starts. We can't figure out where to catch this exception.
In other cases the web.xml mechanism seems to work.

Just restart Eclipse once with the -clean option: eclipse.exe -clean

Is there a way to limit the number of allowed sessions (or limit based on load) to iWS, and redirect to an error page when this number is reached?

We have a setup with two iWS servers infront of an iAS cluster and want to give a 'nice' error message upfront, instead of running the backend servers to the limit affecting the overall user experience.

Typically a server has a settable parameter to limit concurrent connections. Check the server's documentation.

What will be my URL of SAP HANA database for Trail account.

Major problem is related to proxy as discussed above.
Check my proxy setting as am also using the PC out of corporate proxy.
Check for the Luno version details check the tools site.

SAP HANA Web-based Development Workbench Privileges

I can get into and use the SAP HANA web-based development workbench as the SYSTEM user, but I cannot as other users.
http://localhost:8005/sap/hana/xs/ide/editor/
Currently as any other user, I get the following error: "Request execution failed due to missing privileges"
What are the appropriate privileges that need to be set in SAP HANA Studio to access the web based IDE?
Currently, just messing around with the privileges in SAP HANA Studio, if I set the following application privileges, I can at least log in as another user besides SYSTEM.
However, I cannot get any of the files to display in the editor portion of the SAP HANA web-based development workbench. A possibly related error in the log console: "13:10:12 >> Error in WebSocket Connection to backend."

When I want to suscribe to the CAL Free Solution - SAP BPM and Operational Process Intelligence on SAP HANA, on the Terms and conditions page, even if I scroll down, the button "I accept" is not available.

Configuring SAP HANA Cloud Connector with trial account

The free developer license includes the use of cloud connector. (message from SAP)
When I try to set up the Initial configuration of the SAP HANA Cloud Connector as described in the SAP How-To Guide (Version 1.0, March 2013 and Technical Documentation SAP HANA Cloud, Document Version: 1.6.0 - 2013-06-18 ) I get the the message
"Connection to https://connectivityconfig.hanatrial.ondemand.com:443 refused"

The SAP HANA-optimized content does contain physical InfoProviders and adheres to the LSA++ architecture paradigm as to reduce persistencies where possible and if it makes sense. One purpose is to provide a guidance of data modelling in the SAP BW on HANA case making use of recent SAP BW features.
For the near future a switch to the recent BW Infoproviders (advanced) DSO and CompositeProvider is planned.

Cant find 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP8 [Developer Edition]'

I have successfull installed and been running 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP5 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7 [Developer Edition]'
In my CAL-account I have seen that 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP8 [Developer Edition]' has become available.
Searching 'AWS Marketplace' with 'SAP HANA one' only brings up the version (SP5-7) I already have installed. How am I supposed to proceed to install the latest version (SP8-8)?

It wasn't removed. I and at least one other person reported it as abusive, because it contains just a link. I think after three reports, it's automatically hidden until the moderator rejects it permanently, or releases it. In this case, it was released.
Now, why did I report it? Well, the common view (obviously not shared by the moderator here), is that posts like that
1) Indicate the original poster (in this case you) could have searched for yourself to find the same link
2) Damage the site as a whole, as you end up with just a whole bundle of links from one place to another and no real content
3) Encourage posting of FAQ
My experience is that quite often the link isn't in fact relevant, and is just the result of the first hit of a keyword search using google. In this case it was relevant - but couldn't you have searched and found it yourself?

How to connect to SAP HANA Trial Instance using ODBC

I am a newbie to SAP HANA. I have a trial account and have created a new SAP HANA instance using it. I have also installed the HANA Client Tool(Dev edition). I wanted to create a ASP.NET application to consume HANA database on trial instance. Creating ODBC connection requries server:port that are not available in case of trial instance. Can this be done ?
Instead can I create a Java application that consumes HANA database on trial instance using JDBC ?
Need an answer ASAP. Thanking you in advance.

I could not find out how what will be the jdbc url and how to get that port no.
Say for example the cloud system is https://account.hanatrial.ondemand.com/ and instance no is xyz. then waht would be the jdbc url?
"jdbc:sap://xyz.hanatrial.ondemand.com:30015/" - this is not working.

Challenges in SAP HANA studio

I have a trial cloud account. as for now, i foresee that i can work on developing my models by making use of standard tables available in the standard schemas itself. suppose if i want to create my own tables and make use of them in my views, will it allow? as of now, i run into authorization, activation and privilege issues when working with analytical models with custom created tables. my aim is to work extensively on providing solutions to analytical problems and as a prelude, working with the trial account. is there anyway where i can work without any authorization hindrance when i create my own objects by making use of paid service with SAP HANA? may i know the various possibilities to purchase the HANA server?
somewhere i have seen that one can purchase it for some $137/ month or $1300 an year. is this true?

hello Murali,
you can use create statements to make your own tables in your NEO_ development schema in the trial version. you can also import .csv files into that schema as well using import to a new table (you'll need to find your NEO_ schema in that long list) or to an existing table that you've created with a create column table script.
for the view, create a new package in your content > username > instancename folder.
once you've created and activated your view, ensure that you run the following procedure, then the view will appear in Catalog > _SYS_BIC showing that it can now be consumed.
CALL "HCP"."HCP_GRANT_SELECT_ON_ACTIVATED_OBJECTS";
you can then later consume the view in tools like lumira using a jdbc connection...
