SAP HP QTP BPT (Business Process Test)
Hi Gurus,
For those who are familiar with SAP HP QTP BPT............
Please I need help... I was watching a video demo for SAP HP QTP BPT. The video shows the steps taken when performing QTP SAP BPT procedures. I failing to understand the area where the Tutor uses two different T-Codes. T-Code zVA03SAP2 for Creating a Learn Flow and the other T- Code zVA03SAP1 for actual Test. These two transaction codes display a Sales Order in this procedure with Sold to Party added on T-Code zVA03SAP1. Are these two T-Codes for Displaying Sales Order in this Test standard? Meaning when testing eg Material Master we can use zMM01SAP2 for Learn Flow and zMM01SAP1 for the actual Test?
Thanks,
For more information on BPT in QC 10.0... http://updates.merc-int.com/qualitycenter/qc100/ent/enterprise_extension/index.html

Hello everyone I have a general question about business process testing in Sales and Distribution
we have these business process definition documents and we have some functional requirements for thsoe documents and I wanted to know if someone has done this before where you created scenarios from those requirements and if yes I want to know how did one do it? I just need to understand the concept.
Thanks
Edited by: inzane on Aug 10, 2009 4:16 PMThe process followed by me for testing Business Scenario for Order to Cash Cycle is demonstrated below"
Initial Testing will be as under:
1. Create Stock artificially (in test server / sand box only)
2. Create Sales Order
--> Here the common expected error would be as under:
a. Sales Order Type not assigned to Sales area
b. Pricing Procedure assignment not done.
c. Pricing Condition record not maintained
d. Material not maintained or extended to relevant combination
On successful creation of Sales Order, next step would be to create Delivery.
3. Create Delivery and PGI
I will test this scenario in multiple manner
a. Create Delivery from Sales Order
b. Create Delivery through Transaction Code VL01N
c. Create Delivery through Transaction Code VL10C
--> Here the common expected error is copy control setting not maintained, defalult Delivery type not maintained accurately in sales Order Type, etc.
On successful creation creation of Delivery, assuing Picking is done appropriately, doing PGI.
Here the challenge is the Account determination setting reguires to be completed, without which in most cases, it will not allow to do PGI.
4. Create Billing
I will test this scenario in multiple manner
a. Create Billing through VF01
b. Create Billing through Transaction Code VF04
Here the challenge is the Account determination may not be complete and Billing Document is saved without creating accounting document.
In Integration Testing:
1. Assure that material stock is availble in unrestricted stock through MM/PP.
2. Creating Sales Order smoothly
3. Creating Delivery, picking and PGI smmothly.
4. Create Billing smoothly with creation of accurate accounting document
Troubleshooting the errors encountered.
Here the objective is that the process should execute seamlessly.
similar exercise is done for other processes like Stock Transfer, Third Party & so on........

SAP NetWeaver: SAP's Model-Driven Business Process Application?
Hi All:
I am a graduate student currently doing a research on 'Model-Driven Business Process Application'. I came across some literature about SAP NetWeaver during my research. SAP NetWeaver has generated a lot of interest in me and I would like to know more detailed information about it:
How is SAP adopting BPM principles to manage Work-flows? Can we consider any of the current NetWeaver applications as model-driven?
It would be great to know the answers to some of these questions. I would sincerely appreciate if anyone of you could please help me with this. Also, thank you very much for your time and efforts. I would be happy to assign reward points to any informative responses.

Solution Manager 4.0 and SAP R3 4.7E - Business Process Repository Question
When I am in solution manager setting up my business processes (solar01) to select my logical component with the drop-down I do not see my SAP R3 ERP 4.7 system available for selection. They do exist in my SLD (SMSY) and all the components with the 4.7 system. Does anyone know why they are not showing up in the drop-down for business process repository selection help?
Thanks
Skip FordHi,
For how long the installation process has been running. Check the following.
1. The virtual memory page size that you have assigned.
2. The hard disk free space.
3. The Virtual memory should be optimized size, should not be larger than the free space available.
These are performance optimization settings.
I guess the installation would take around ten hours, I am not sure.
But one thing is sure <b>SAP</b> is not that bad to get aborted abruptly.
Keep Patience while installing. Before that take care that your system satisfies, requirements.
Hope I was clear. Feel free to get back, incase you face any problem.

Is SAP SD catering these business processes?
Hi all
I have a few inquiries as to some client business processes which i'm not really sure if we (SD) cover these or not, or if HCM cover it maybe the experienced consultant can help in my regard.
Sale of Diesel / Petrol to employees / contractors
Sale of Vehicles to employees on maturity
Sale of transport services (amenity) to employees.
Rental of Accomodation(Guest Houses, BOQs, MOQs) to employees and others
Telephone private calls
Photo copying services to employees on payment
Messing (food) services to employees
If you guys can do the needful in helping me I would be forever thankful.
AliHi Ali,
Please find the answers below
Sale of Diesel / Petrol to employees / contractors
I am considering it as pure sales probably over some discounted rate not re imbursement of expense. Yes can be done in SD
Sale of Vehicles to employees on maturity
Yes but its HR, FICO or HR, FICO, SD depending upon scenario, though my vote goes to HR (for maturity calculations), FICO
Sale of transport services (amenity) to employees.
HR
Rental of Accommodation (Guest Houses, BOQs, MOQs) to employees and others
HR
Telephone private calls
HR
Photo copying services to employees on payment
Better deal with policy by incorporating certain amount in HR else it on payment keep it out of system.
Messing (food) services to employees
HR
I hope this will answer your queries,
Regards

SAP XI and Business Process Modelling and Monitoring
hi All,
Could anybody tell me whether SAP XI has any Business Process Modelling tools or any Process Monitoring tools?
If any, are these analogous to IBM WBIs Modeller and Monitor? Also does SAP XI provide any human interaction?
Regards,
Shree NorwayHi,
In the XI-Repository you can build Business Procces with the Process Builder.
for Monitoring you can use the Workflow Monitoring on XI.

On Wednesday 28 July, George Yu hosts the webinar titled <b>Unified Business Process Management</b> as part of the ongoing SAP NetWeaver Know-How Network Webinar Series.
Heres how George describes his webinar presentation:
In the famous SAP NetWeaver refrigerator, we have seen two Business Process Management (BPM) execution products: the Ad-hoc Workflow for People Integration and Cross-Component BPM for Process Integration. In addition, we have business process monitoring in SAP Solution Manager and business process modeling in ARIS for SAP NetWeaver (just released). SAP has a plan to form a BPM lifecycle including modeling, model-based configuration, execution and monitoring, with a shared repository and a consistent appearance. This is our Unified BPM. We will give a detailed discussion on this subject in the coming Webinar on July 28, 2004.

Roles for Business Process Monitoring
Hi Expert,
I'm working with sap solution manager and Business Process Monitoring.
It works fine but I need to create particular roles for my users.
I have created one solution with 2 business scenarios (scenario 1, scenario 2) and 10 Business Processes for each scenario.
I would know if exist a role in order to allow user 1 to see only BP in scenario 1 and allow user 2 to see only BP in scenario 2.
I saw roles: SAP_OP_DSWP_BPM and SAP_SMWORK_BPM but I didn't find any suitable authorization object to use.
Thanks for collaboration
best regards
gio'Hi Giovanni,
the answer is unfortunately no. There is no authorization object available that limits the visibility of business processes. You could only split by solution, so creating two solutions each containing 10 business processes.
In general you can find information about roles and authorizations in SAP note 834534. There are several MS Excel files attached to this note.
Best Regards

Could any one explain me what are the deficiencies they found while implementing SAP- FI/CO? (Business process at a customer that could be not be implemented as-is in SAP and required a change in business process).
I could not think of many when I was asked in an interview. Any help would be appreciated so that I can keep those deficiencies in mind for the next time. Thank you.Hi
Your question pertains to the gap analisys.
This is the analisys on what are the difeerences between actual system and what the customer want to develop.
refer to the below thread:
GAP
You can quote example of some standard functionality which client has now and which SAP doesnot provide.
HOPE SOME ONE WILL ADD MORE.

any idea?Try to send some valid data in COMP_CODE.
It seems that SAP is returning some reply which is not fitting your response Schema.
SAP Call is made and problem is in generating response document.
Use the design console to test the view again. and try to see the XML resquest document and response document. Compare your request xml with that in design console. -
Test Repository - Use of our own business process model as structure
We want to use our own business process model as structuring element in the test repository.
I entered my hierarchy by the transaction STWBM using environment/application hierarchy / Customer.
But my hierarchy is not visible in the test repository. Instead, there is always the SAP hierarchy.
How can I use my hierarchy in the test repository?I have the same problem.
We are new on using the solution manager to do the test.
Now we want to put all the test cases (manual) in the test repository, and in other time link they to the other projects.
But the question is: How can i storage the test case in the repository to garantee when I do a new project I dont forget any test case needed from the repository? -
Business Process Modeling in SAP Solution Manager
Hi.
Even ther an Solution Manager space, i wish to get some opinion related to Business process Modeling.
We are working in an upgrade project. R/3 4.6 C to ECC 6.0. The customer decide to use Solution manager to map their process, based on the transactions of the new version.
Company Business Process:
1.Based on ISO standards.
2.By product line
3.The process are defined using an structure with 4 Levels: Macro Process, Business scenarios, Business Process and Steps/activities.
There are 2 possibilities to map the process into the Sap Solution Manager:
1. Map the process by component.
- Single Project
-It means to make a list of all sap components with their process without mattering the business process.
-Each product line can be a variant for an specific process. e.g: Sales by line
2. Map the process as ISO Standards
- Several projects : For each product line
Which cold be the better option in order to:
- Easy configuration activities
- Easy design of Unit and integration test
- Easy activities of Process enhancement and optimization
Theres another option?
Thanks
Alvaro Hernán Rojas RHi Alvaro Hernán Rojas R ,
The product line is the hierarchy of the finished goods.
It is pertinent that the finished goods has emerged due to some process(es) carried on the raw material.
Thus logically you should map in solution manager based on the process only.
The macro process while depicts the processes at the highest level. The Business scenarios, Business Process gives a good idea about how you should go about configuring. The Steps/activities helps you to map in to SAP thro' T/Codes.
From the point of view of all of the below three, namely,
Easy configuration activities
Easy design of Unit and integration test
Easy activities of Process enhancement and optimization,
the option Map the process as ISO Standards
- Several projects : For each product line, will be most ideal.
It is the processes that drives the activities. The control activities like internal control etc are all process based.Given these, divorcing the business process from the configuration -as in -is certainly not a good practice.
Hope this helps.

Ramesh
