SAP HR 0002 infotype problem

Hello all,
We are using SAP HR activesync as the authorative source. Some time ago something happened and we began getting an error. This is actually a really serious error.
The error is java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 973.
Apparently for some reason the JCO library is trying to parse the incoming string but since the incoming string is 966 bytes long the exception occurs. (as i saw in the WSTrace.log file)
LONG_INFTY is set to X.
So anyone has any idea on this?

We seem to have the latest versions. I think what is happening is, somewhere during the parsing process, JCO fails. It may stem from a connection loss or something else but I have searched deep and wide but couldn't find anything.
By the way, do you have any idea why JCO trace levels are reset to 0?
I see this in the last trace file generated..

You need to restart your sap adapter in GRC front end from configurations tab-->Sap adapter >choose the one for your back end system> if it's grayed out or even green still, click on it and let it restart and turn green again.
Then you go back to your backend ECC system and in SM59 , choose the RFC connection for the Risk Terminator (the one you have saved in the Risk Terminator transaction /VIRSA/ZRTCNFG in backend system).. and test the connection. It should pass the connection test if your adapter is working and set up correctly. Then when you do save in SU01 or make changes in PFCG and have Risk Terminator activated for the backend system, it will check the SOD violations against those transactions from RAR front end.
If you don't want Risk Terminator to check for SOD violations in front end RAR, then you need to set your settings to 'NO' for all in the Risk Terminator transaction. You can get all this info in the GRC config guide for RAR and SPM area.

Including Second Name and Middle name in 0002 infotype

Hi friends
I have a requirement to include third name and fourth name of employees in personal data infotype.
Checked the table V_T522N and I have included the following fields in the table.
First name: VORNA
Second Name: NACH2
Midde name: MIDNM
Last Name: NACHN
But the fields are not displaying in 0002 infotype. Kindly advise on any specific configs or setting to be made to display these fields or do we need technical help to do this. I checked the modulepool as well, but couldnu2019t find any fields with middle name or second name.

Goto Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Customizing User interfaces -> Change Screen Modifications
Look for the following record
MP000200 2000 10 2010 0
double click on it.
Hit the feature button
Type P0002
Press Change
Check Your country groupig under the Infotype screen control and set the return value to be 10...
The Middle Name should appear now..

SAP 4.7 Installation problem on Solaris 10 - Oracle 9.2.0.7

I am trying to install SAP 4.7 on Solaris 10 - Oracle 9.2.0.7. I am using standar installation DVD for SAP 4.7 SR1. After installation I want to login SAP system I have an error about database inconsistency. System said that enter SICK transaction. I entered SICK and my error is "OS release SunOS 5.10 Generic_141444-09 sun4u is not support with this kernel". After I received this error I installed new kernel (221) and I upgaded kernel to 221. But after that I could not open SAP system. I checked dev_w1 and it is like below:

Also I tried to change SAPEXE.SAR and SAPEXEDB.SAR files from SAP Kernel CD. After that I started installation again. But I have same error. SAP system didn't work.
How can I solve this error?Cannot I install SAP 4.7 SR1 on Solaris 10 - ORacle 9.2.0.7?Is the problem about SAP profile parameters or Solaris Kernel parameters

SAP Business Connector certificate problem

We are trying trying to send data from SAP to bank via SAP business connector using bank URL. We have configured the certificates in SAP BC which are authenticated by bank on the basis of private key generated from our server. Now when we trying to post data to bank it is giving below error.
java.lang.RuntimeException: iaik.security.ssl.SSLCertificateException: Peer certificate rejected by TrustDecider
Any idea? Please give me some suggestions to resole this problem.

Normally I do not like to give documentation references, but in this case I think it makes sense. Certificate handling is an ugly and complicated topic, so many things can go wrong. Please check the SAP BC 4.7 Administration Guide, page 103 onwards ("Securing communications with the server"). It explains very well what needs to be done. Make sure you configured everything correctly.

at Step 7 when I upload the IDWTFILE_US_1042.XML file, the activation of this files fails and gives the following error messages:

I used the trx SMARTFORMS to upload all of the forms mentioned. This earlier thread with one of my questions answered might be helpful to you.

Also, you may need to change the package for some of the forms to ID-FI-US as the note suggests. Use trx SE03 to change the package for a form that might not already be in package ID-FI-US.
We only use form MISC and none of the others, but I uploaded and did the note steps for all anyway.
I think this note lacks a bit of clarity.

User migration vom SAP DB to LDAP: Problem when userId not equal to logonId

Hello
I have to write a migration tool which migrates the users stored in the SAP DB to LDAP. Thereby the logon ID of the users in the SAP DB is not equal to the user ID.
The migration works fine and in SAP Identity Management (IDM) everything is ok.
But when I try to log onto the portal with a migrated user, the portal tells me that no portal role is assigned to the user. But the IDM shows clearly that the portal role is assigned to the user.
Investigation showed that when I create in the LDAP a user with the same logon ID and user ID, the log onto the portal works ok. As soon the logon ID differs from the user ID, the portal does not find the assigned portal role anymore, although in IDM everything works.
How can I solve this problem? It is important that the logon ID and the user ID are different as otherwise all the stored data has wrong references.

Problem solved:
The naming attribute of the user account has to be set to the same attribute as the one of the user object and not to the user logon ID.

Transaction iView - SAP GUI for HTML - Problem while hiding menu bar

Hello all,
I am trying to hide the OKcode field and the Menu button in a Transaction iView of type SAP GUI for HTML. I am following the SAP note 1010519. However, nothing seems to change, even after adding the parameter ~webgui_simple_toolbar = 0 or any other value.
I added the parameter to the service: default_host ->sap -> bc -> gui ->sap -> its ->webgui
After going through few posts relating to this issue, I figured out that passing application parameters would not work. Also, using IAC is not an option for me.
Can someone help? How can I hide the OKCode field and Menu bar?

Maintaining the parameter
~WEBTRANSACTIONTYPE EWT
will solve your problem. You can also create an IAC iview. Here is a document for the same.

HR Custom InfoTypes problem when added to custom Infoset Report for PA

Hi, I am having an issue with the adhoc query /SAPQUERY/HR_ADM. I added the custom infotypes 9* I created to this standard infoset by using SQ02 and adding these by going into the menu path Edit--> Change InfoType selection. I regenerated this object and attached to a transport. The query runs fine in the DEV system where I made the change...I can choose fields for output or selection from the standard infotypes and custom infotypes as expected. I migrated this transport to the test system and now when I try to do the same thing I get an error when I try to click on any object in my custom infotype and some of the standard infotype. I tried regenerating and resending to the test system and still have the same issue. This is the error in the dump:

After further investigation I found the problem to this was in the generation of the objects. Even though I generated before attaching to a transport and all looked ok, there is some sort of bug causing it to not generate properly so I had to sign on to each environment and generate the object in SQ02 including in Production. After I did this the custom infotypes were accessible in the Infoset.

SAP Web AS Connection Problem

Hi Gurus,
I am now facing one problem about creating a system in EP.
My system is Netweaver 04s with AS,EP and BI with SP13. All run in one single server.
I maintained the SAP Web AS, and tested the connection, got the following message:
Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:
1. Checks the validity of system ID in the system object.
2. Checks if the system can be retrieved from the PCD.
3. Check whether a SAP system is defined in the system object
4. Validate the following parameters: WAS protocol; WAS host name
5. Checks if the host name of the server can be resolved.
6. Pings the server to see if it is alive.
7. Pings the WAS ping service; works only if the service is activated on the ABAP WAS.
8. Checks HTTP/S connectivity to the defined back-end application
Results
1. The system ID is valid
2. The system was retrieved.
3. The system object represents an SAP system
4. The following parameters are valid: Web AS Protocol (http) Web AS Host Name (192.168.2.62:50000)
5. The host name 192.168.2.62 was resolved successfully.
6. The server 192.168.2.62 could not be pinged successfully.
Strange that the ping fails, cause all the instances are running in the same server.
"Connection Test for Connectors" works fine for me by using SSO from portal to abap.
Please give the solution.

Hi,
You mean to say you are using IP address to login to portal. Using IP address has caused many problems. I am not sure if this would solve your issue but it is always recommended to use fully qualified domain name as host while accesssing portal. You can check using that too.

SAP Business One Hanging Problem

We are using SAP B1 2005 on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition. We have 13 users and there is an issue that SAP hang 5 to 7 times in a day on Server end also on clients end. SAP FICO --- iDoc ---- SM35 problem

Problem: We are currently using SAP R/3 E1P and sending invoicing material from different ERP system to it and using SM35 to solve possible problems (wrong accounts, zero invoices etc.) in transfer. Now we are planning to start using SAP Fico in company group and changing interfaces to use iDoc. Sap consultants argue that it is impossible to use SM35 with iDoc....
Is that really so? Hopefully someone can help...

SM35 is for processing of batch input recordings/sessions, which is something completely different from idocs. So yes, your consultants are right, you cannot process incorrect idocs with SM35
However, there are another transactions for idocs monitoring and reprocessing (BD87, WE02), so you still will have the tools for data/interface corrections, even if at the beginning you will probably found it not so simple and user-friendly as SM35; your consultant should provide you with neccessary training.
