Sap hr: Infotypes without validity dates

Hi
1)Can u  name some of the Infotypes in sap hr without validity dates,
2)what r the infotypes v have to assign in
        a) Trermination
        b) pramotion
        c)retirement
        d)pramotion
Akhil.

Hi,
All of the infotypes in HR need to be created with validity dates.
All of the HT information is based on beginning and end dates.
In termination, you had better restrict 0 and change the organizational assignments in 1.
In promotion, update 8.
In retirement, update1.
You may wanna update any additional infotype if you wish to..

  • Maintain SAP ECC (R/3) Master Data with backend validation

    Hi,
I would like to maintain SAP ECC (R/3) Master Data via the Visual Composer. As far as I understand the functionality, it should be possible, if the ECC provides a BAPI to do that.
The BAPI must be able to do the same validation that we have, using the backend itself.
Now the question is whether it is possible, that the BAPI returns the result of the validation back to Visual Composer, because of course the user wants to know whether his action was successfull or not (because of invalid values for example).
Does anybody has expierences with such a requirement? Can a BAPI return something to the Visual Composer and how can I integrate such a return result in VC?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Johannes

It is possible to captured BAPI's return parameters in VC.
    Steps:
1.Add a Form and BAPI to the story board.
2.Now connect the OUT port of a BAPI to the IN port of FORM , this you can do by
just drag(BAPI Out port) and drop( FORM in port).
3.Add a Expression Box in FORM.
4.Display the values returned by BAPI in the expression box(Use formula)

  • BI-IP WEB characteristic without master data

    Hello!
In Bex ready for input query i can use characteristic without master data and then i can insert new values in characteristic key (maintain this characteristic from ready for input query). But when i try use this feature in WEB application i get error messsage about incorrect master data validation. Do you have any idea  how use this feature in WEB?
    Thanks

    Hi,
please be aware that this is called "Master data planning". Master data plannig is not supported in BI-IP although it may work in some cases. As far as I remember somebody posted how this could be done in the Web recently. I remember he used a class to achieve it. I have not tested the approach, but you should find the thread in the forum. Nevertheless you should try to find a "better" approach for generating new master data.

  • Create Table/View with Validity Date Control?

    Hi,
does anyone know the easiest way for me to create a custom view that uses validity dates to control records by time periods, similar to time constraint 1 infotypes in HR?
For instance, if I define a table to store entries like so
    Client (Key): 100
    PSubArea (Key): C001
    Grouping (Key): 01
    End Date (Key): 99991231
    Begin Date: 18000101
and I want to ensure that there can only be one record active on any given date, how can I prevent someone from creating a record from 20061107 - 20071107 that overlaps the existing record?
Is there a setting I missed?
Add conditions to generated view coding? Is there a good example?
    Thanks

  • SAP PP (Production Planning) Master Data Definitions

SAP PP (Production Planning) Master Data Definitions and Transaction codes.

SAP PP (Production Planning) Master Data Definitions
    • Factory Calendar
    • Material Master
    • Resource • Bills of Material (BOM)
    • Production versions
    • Master recipe
Factory Calendar: The factory calendar is defined on the basis of a public holiday calendar. The public holiday and factory calendar is a central module in the SAP System. It is assigned to a specific plant during the initial system setup and therefore used in many areas (e.g. in Logistics and in Human Resources) in the system.
Material Master: Material master comprises if all the basic data of the material for each department. The data covers all the relevant information required for the transactional flow e.g. sales, Planning, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Costing etc. Material master covers all the descriptive and control data and the flow of information depends on fields maintained within it. The integration of all material data in a single database object eliminates redundant data storage. Material Masters are created once and can be changed or extended whenever required
Bill of Materials: Bill of Materials or commonly called BOM is a formally structured list of components that make up a product or assembly. The list contains the material number of the component together with the quantity and unit of measure. BOMs are used in their different forms in various situations where a finished product is assembled from several component parts or materials. Resources: Resources are production facilities and persons involved in a production process that have capacities. They are subdivided into categories to specify their suitability for certain purposes or their use in certain processes
Product Versions: A production version determines which alternative BOM is used together with which task list/master recipe to produce a material or create a master production schedule. For one material, we can have several production versions for various validity periods and lot-size ranges. The production version determines the following:
    • The BOM alternative for a BOM explosion.
    • The task list (master recipe) and any alternate, as needed.
    • Lot-size restrictions and validity parameters.
Master Recipes: A master recipe defines the following data that is required for the production of materials without relating to a particular order: processing steps, resources, material components, and control information for the process control level. Master Recipe enables to plan the production of materials (products). Therefore, Master Recipe is used as a template for process orders and run schedules as well as a basis for product costing. In a Recipe
    • The Phases (work steps) to be carried out during production.
    • The activities to be performed in the operations as a basis for determining dates, capacity requirements and costs.
    • The use of materials during production.
    • The use of resource.

  • Start date personnel number infotype 0002 (Personal data)

    Hi gurus,
I have the following problem in SAP ECC6.
I created a personnel number with transaction PA40 with start date 200208.
In infotype 0002 (Personal data), after that I have filled various field, if I save, the start date changes from 200208 to 01011900.
    Could you help me please?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Raffaele

    Hi
Adding to what Mr. Sai Naraynan has said.
See whatever happening at your end is absolutley correct you have to understand the logic behind that.
See Personal data infotype will contain the master data of an employee like name, ***, complete name, form of address etc... whuich is same from his birth so there is no need to have a validity starting from the date of hiring because this data is same from his birth thats why system automatically stamps a Birth date out there.
    Hope it clarifies your doubt.

  • BOM Valid Date

    Hi,
While creating BOM due to some human error we took wrong valid date. Now i want to change it.
Please suggest me the T-code or any customization to change the same.
    "I am online"

    Dear Pawar
This are the basic IMG settings in order to used the engineering change management
    features.
    x refers to a tick.
First setup the control data in OS54.
    Revision sections
    Fields :-
    Revision level active            x
    Ext. revision level              x
    Higher revision level            x
    Object Management Record sections
    Fields :-
    Object maintenance               x
    Assign alternative date          x
    Overide value/assignment date sections
    Fields :-
Only with leading change mst.    x
Setting the Revision level active is to activate the engineering change management for
material master.  If you do not want the engineering change management for materials,
    remove the tick.
With a tick in "Higher revision level", the new revision level has to be always higher
    than the old revision.
Secondly, setup the external number range in OS53.
If you use the internal number range, then remove the external number range.
Third, define the status for the change master records in transaction SM30 - V_T419S.
Change No.     Chg        Date Chg     Dist. Lock      Description
    Status         Poss

      2            ' '          ' '            ' '         Inactive
      3            ' '          ' '             x          Locked
Fourth, define modification parameters for the BOM in OS27.
    Fields :-
    BOM Validty Maint.               x
    EC Management Active             x
    History Requirement             ' '
    Unit Piece                      PC
The rest of the fields are blank.
If the History Requirement is tick, every time during creation of the BOM, SAP will
prompt your for an ECN number as is compulsory.
Lastly, define fields selection for routing in OP5A.
PP task lists: initial screen -> Change number -> Transaction code -> Tick Req.
Setting the Transaction code fields Required indicate that you have make the ECN number ........

  • Regd : How to find Validity date for a user in central user system

    Hi Experts;
I want to get the list of users with profile SAP_ALL  with following details like validity ,user type ,user name ,user id..
I can get through SUIM for each individual systems. Its very difficult to login to each system ,generate the report. So I prefered to go for Central system
But if I use central user system I have no option to find validity and user type for the system ( SUIM - > Cross system application )
I have also tried to the table USRO2 ( which gives only the list of users in the central system )
So is there any possible ways to find the Users with profile SAP _ALL with validity date in the central user system. So that I can easily generate it as one report instead of logging to each and every system

    Hi Ruchit
Thanks for your reply. I want to find the validity date of all users having SAP_ALL

to do that in Centrals System by executing the report?
If I execute that report in Central user system will it give the details of all child

I think it will give only the result of Central system and not the child system connected to Central system. Please clarify me.
I can execute the report by logging to each child system ,but it takes very long hours for me since there are many system in my landscape.

  • Validity date in RFQ

    Hi all,
Can anyone explain me what is the correct definition of the Validity start date and end date in the RFQ.
The reason I am asking this question is , If you eneter the start date and end date in the RFQ and create the PO with reference to RFQ, these dates gets copied on to the PO. if the document type of PO is NB then these fields are not visible on PO screen bu in the background the table EKPO is updated with these two filed. And the if you try to eneter the SES after these dates sysetm is not allowing and giving the message as SES date is beyond the valididty date.
Has any one come across any such issue. Can any one suggest any solution to this.

    Hi Don,
RFQ means...requesting quotation from a vendor. Validity date start and validity end means the quotation should be send before the validity end date from the vendor. Before getting the quotation and before knowing the rate, how could you make purchase order to that vendor. Before you rise PO, you should maintain the quotation in ME47. As per standard SAP, you should rise po w.r.to quotation.

  • Read last period of infotype without logical database

    Hi,
I'm looking for a FM that retrieves last period of one infotype without using logical database pnp, so rp-provide-from-last isn't a solution
Now, I'm using a home made solucion:
First I use HR_READ_INFOTYPE function to read all periods of infotype, then I sort the table by endda (descending) and get first register of table.
But I really prefer using a SAP function module.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
You can use the same FM "HR_READ_INFOTYPE" & pass begda = sy-datum and endda = '12/31/9999'.
You will get only one record i.e. latest one.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Sarika.

  • ALE BOM. Updates ALL! items with validity date & change no.

    Hi All,
We are having problems where ALE-BOM sent with change in validity date (with change no) to a particular item. What happens is that ALE-BOM will instead update ALL! items with the same validity date and change number.
Next, when we process ALE again for the same BOM with a different validity date(with change no), then only that
particular item is updated with validity date and change no.
Would anyone know what could be the problem that when changes are sent for the first time all items are updated?
    [Version: SAP 4.6C/ SAPKH46C48]
    Regards,
    Neeth

    Dear:
The error itself telling you the correction. You profit center which is assigned to your cost center has a validity date less than the one you are now assigning. You can check in KE52 against the profit center assigned to your cost center master data. However the best thing is to go to KS01 and create this cost center with desired validity date.
    This will resolve your issue.

  • IVL License and validity date

    Hello Experts,
How do you apply an IVL license to a sales order that was placed before the validity date of the license?
The business scenario that I have is a sales order was placed in September, and it required a license.   We applied for the license and recieved it recently and the validatity date is December 2010 thru December 2011.   The license was maintained in the system as such, but the license will not apply to the order since it was placed prior to the stated validity of the license because the document reference date that is being used is the date the order was placed.    Is there a way to account for this without having the sales rep replace the order so the document reference date is inside the validity date of the license recieved from the government?
    Regards,
    annm

    hi
In your GTS system go to Transaction- /n/SAPSLL/LCD_CHANGE and delete the existing license from the existing order.
Then go to transaction- /n/SAPSLL/CUHD_MR_EXP and check boxes of "Display Log" and Save Log" and execute it with order number. New license will be assigned to it but make sure you have maintained the correct license determination strategy for it.
    Thanks

  • User lock / Validity date?

    Hello IDM Gurus,
I needed your insight on an issue we're facing; Using standard tasks from the SAP provisioning framework, we have a task that locks a user in a connected SAP system; and we have another task that sets a person's validity date to today's date (basically invalidating their account by the following day); After locking a user using the task we then go ahead and set the same user's validity date as today's date; as a result of this, the administrator lock set previously ends up disappearing. I don't believe this is normal behavior; shouldn't a validity date and an admin lock exist independent of each other? Is this happening because of the way the SAP Provisioning framework sets a validity date?
Would greatly appreciate any advice and insight on the issue!
    Thanks a lot in advance!

  • Factory Calendar Validity Date Expires 2010

    Hi All,
In all standard SAP systems Factory Calendars are delivered with a validity date until 2010 at first installation.
This could lead to follow-up errors at the turn of the year.To overcome the issue we need to extend the validity date of Factory Calender across all SAP system.
As per my understanding we can extend the validity of calender manually in OLTP system (i.e. ECC etc) but in BW system we mostly transfer these validity using the "Transfer global settings".
Is there a way to maintain these validity directly in BW instead of importing it from ECC, and is this recommonded to do it directly in BW?
If we do it directly in, BW will this impact sync between OLTP and BW system etc?
Any expert advice is highly appreciated...
    Regards
    Dev

Yes, the settings can be maintained in BW, in the same IMG position as ECC.
If you have a single ECC system and BW system, I would always 'Transfer Global Settings' in a daily (or weekly - minimum) process chain to insure consistancy between the systems.
If my BW consolidated multiple ECC systems, I would maintian the BW system manually
