Hi Gurus,
What r TIME WAGE TYPES.how to create them.i came to know that they r used to create Overtime only.
plz let me know the purposes of Time wage types and different ways to use them.

Time Type
A time type is a grouping of times according to various aspects such as payment regulations, internal company requirements and control tasks.
A time type assigns a meaning to a time interval. The balances formed in time evaluation are posted to the time types.
When you customize the system, you can define for each time type whether
it should be transferred to the day/period totals
it should be taken over from the previous period/year
it should be transferred to cluster B1 (for entry data)
Not necessay for OT but for all u can mantain with table T555A.

Dear All,
How to deduct a time wage type amount from the total gross?
Now I have a time wage type, "Unpaid Leave".
If an employee have an unpaid leave in a month, payroll will calculate the unpaid amount and put it into Wage Type "Unpaid Leave", and the amount will be deducted from his salary.
What is the approach to deduct the unpaid leave amount from his salary?

I've done the part of Absence Valuation.
During payroll simulation, I can get the correct number of absence day and the correct amount of unpaid absence in the wage type.
However, I do not know any following steps on how to deduct that amount from the salary.
Do you mean I should use factoring to do the deduction?

Creation of Time Wage Type

Hi Experts,
Sorry to ask basic question. I have requirement that all the employees are eligible for Flexi leave for 3 Days or ( 24 Hours ). This is no accrued this is given standard to all the employees for every calender year and also not transferrable. I have created Absence in Time and i could run the RPTQTA00 report updating the leave quotas.
We dont have Payroll here it is outsourced, client is requesting for creation of Wage type that will reflect during time eavalution report.
When we run the time evalution/ time balance report they want to see a wage type that is displayed showing how many hours of leave he has taken
As per my assumption i need to create a time wage type and Time types.
Can you assist me where i can create that time wage type and how to create time types.

you need to have the Hours Cumulated right for that u have to check the SALDO

US-PY-PT What are the time of wage types?

Gurus,
I am new to HR and have some basic questions.
I read some documentation and need some clarifications.
1. What is time wage type?
    All the wage types created in B2 cluster (assuming PT component is enabled).
2. What is non-time wage type? (also refered as dialog wage type)
     All wage types created by PA30 infotypes.
    The only exception is 2010 which can have user
     entered wage types. If enter wage type has only number - then it is time wage type. Otherwise, it
     is non-time wage type.
Do I understand this correctly?
Are there any changes needed for the above two statements?

1. What is time wage type?
Time Wage types are generated during time evaluation with their amount as only NUm field is there for time wage types as Overtime hours
2. What is non-time wage type? (also refered as dialog wage type)
Valuation of non time wage types are done out of Time Evaluation . Like wage types entered in IT 0008 , 0014, 0015 etc

In IT 2010 we can enter Time wage types as well as other wage types even this IT is used for enttering Overtime wage types

Payroll wage type

Hi to all SAP guru,
Greetings for the day,
I had few issue related to wage type while processing payroll, since iam not familiar with payroll, please help me out, I have maintained two wage type for a particular employee group.
1. 1200 regular working day as a time wage type, where it is configured in schema, it is coming automatically.
2. 1001 hourly wage type, which is defined in 0008- basic pay infotype.
When I am processing a payroll the 1200 wage type is coming automatically with the amount, for the days, the employee worked and the wage type 1001 is not displaying in the payroll processing (ie., in the final processing step during payroll simulation)
Here my question is, whether 1001 or 1200 wage is to be displayed in the payroll processing (ie., in the final processing step during payroll simulation), if 1001 has to come in final processing step during payroll simulation, what are the step to be done.
Please throw me a light on this issue.

Timesheet and wage types

Hi HR gurus,
I'm not an hr expert, I've to extract in BW the timesheet (cats) with wage types. I had a look in our catsdb table and wage type column is always empty.
does this means I cannot extract timesheet with wage types or there is some functional link between timesheet and wage types?
there is a standard BW extractor which claims to extract what I need, just seems it doesn't work

Hi!
If you want to see the relationships between them: run Program in SE38: RPDASC00, extract all PCRs and Sub-schema into excel file.
You will see find the kind of attendance, and which Time Type is used for this attendance.

Ps: the logic of 3 things as below:
1. Attendance Types -> In Time Schema will check kinds of Attendance and then input into Time Types.
2. After having Time Types, you will move value into Time Wage Types.
3. And then time wage type will be inputted into Payroll.

PT_BAL00 : Wage Type

Hi All,
I am using T-code PT_BAL00 ( in R/3) to check the Wage Type , I noticed that there are multiple wages type for Overtime/Normal working hours etc.
I am specifically looking for the table where wagetype stored,
for example : (checking in R/3)
W110 - Over time x 1.00
W014 - Over time x 1.50
W021 - Normal working hours
in the table W110 may be represent as 1000004 , I want actually value that stored in the table.
Can any body help me to let me know the table name from PT_BAL00 t-code get values , Or where wages type stored.

Time enry collisions and wage type issues

Hi Experts,
We do not have holiday's embedded in our schedules due to the flexibility in when employees are allowed to take the paid time off and also due to
our "flex" work schedules being more than 8 hour work days but the holiday benefit is an 8 hour benefit. This has caused us a lot of issues with
time entry, however, we thought it had been corrected. We are now running into the same issues. Here is an example:
First Issue:
Work Schedule week of 12/31/07 - 01/05/08
            Sun   Mon   Tues Wed   Thur Fri   Sat
Schedule    0     10    10    10    10    0     0
Tuesday the 1st is a holiday and the employee must enter Absence type 240 for 10 hours to fit his schedule. Employee also work on the holiday and
needs to enter Attendance type 832 for unscheduled holiday work. When we try to enter the attendance we receive a full day collision error and
cannot continue.
Second Issue:
Work Schedule week of 12/31/07 - 01/05/08
            Sun   Mon   Tues Wed   Thur Fri   Sat
Schedule    0     8     8     8     8     8     0
Tuesday is the holiday and the employee enters Absence type 240 for 8 hours to fit her schedule. She is also on Standy-By time for the holiday. We
had to configure standby time specifically as a wage type and activate the wage type column in the CATS entry screen. She must enter W/T (it's the
only option) 1802 and then record 24 hours in the date 01/01/08. This entry also gives us a full day collision message and we cannot continue.
We can provide more examples when a consultant is assigned. These options used to work and we do not know why they are no longer working.
Advice me to resolve this ticket on time, its high priority ticket.

Hi,
I think your 1st problem comes from the misunderstanding of SAP work schedule logic.
As you mentioned, you want to input ab type 240 to fit work schedule. But it's not necessary.
For that day is a WORK day with holiday class 1. That means scheduled work can be overwrited by holiday. If the employee does not come to work in that day without any 2001 informations, he/she is NOT absence,because that day is a paid time off.
And as for the attendance type, it's also no needed. Because if employee came to work in a public holiday, the working hours will automatically counted as OT hours but UNAPPORVED! To approve this OT, you need input 2007 attendance quota. In this example, the employee got 10 hours OT in puplic holiday which is recorded by SAP TM but unapporved. Then you should create a 2007 record with 10 hours attendance quota in the same day. By doing this, the TM evaluation will count those 10 hours as paid OT.
I think the way above is what you called "flexibility in when employees are allowed to take the paid time off "

Anybody can explain that "what is the role of "Time contraint"(Once / Sev.Times) for wage types which are the subtypes of the Infotypes like IT0015 and IT0014 (V_T512Z).

Hi,
any wage type marked with once can be maintained only once for that specific period and several times means it can be there more than one time.
For example, IT0015 wage type XXXX has value once. You are booking this wage type on perticular day say 12.06.2011 then you cannot book same wage type XXXX on 12.06.2011. But you can book this on any oteher day of that month. if its several times then you can have several entries on same date.

Configured a Tuition Reimb WT 1245 for IT 15, need to Test it now to check how and Fed Tax,State Tax is calculated on this Wage type,
need to check where this can be located in payroll log in simulation run.

Just came back from vacation and saw your thread (which should have been posted in the HRP HCM Payroll North America forum). We applied SAPKE60061 in late November and the Canadian YE Note in mid-December and didn't come across that problem, but then again we don't have any Quebec employees.

How to get wage type for every time record

I am using DS 0CA_TS_IS_1, it includes report time type (0REPTT), but not have wage type. in CATSDB, I fied fields for attendance/absence type and wage type. but not every time record has wage type. can you please tell me how to get wage type for every time record? what is relation between reporting time type, attendance/absence type and wage typs?

Cumulating Wage types is a wage types where you can cumulates two or more different wage types ie to cumulate into one.
Perfect example is Groos salary is a cumulating wage type

- /6XX - Gross wages less pre-tax deduction. For example, if salary is $1,000 and the 401(k) deduction is $200,/6xx will be $800. SAP passes this amount to BSI for tax calculation. (/EXX - Tip income processing)
- /7XX - Reportable taxable amount calculated by BSI. If ceilings on taxable amounts exist and are exceeded, BSI will return a reportable taxable amount of zero. (/FXX - tip income processing).

It has a list of the algorithms, which are pretty disappointing, I must say. No Random Forests? No ensembling methods? Given that it's using R algorithms, I must say this is a missed opportunity to beat products like SPSS and SAS at their own game. If SAP were to include this functionality, they would be the only BI vendor capable of having a serious predictive tool integrated with the rest of the platform.... but this looks pretty weak.
I can only hope a later release will remedy this - or maybe the SDK will allow me to create what I need.
As things stand, I could built a random forest using this tool, but I would have to use a lot of hardcoded SQL to make it happen. And if I wanted to go down that road, I could use the algorithms that come with the Microsoft/Oracle software.
Please let me be wrong........
