SAP HTTP Plug-in- no connection to SMD

Dear all,
I have started the E2E-Trace analysis from Solution Manager Diagnostics.
I have downloaded the last plug-in based on OSS Note : 1041556
I start this tool by clicking on SAPIEPlugin.exe.
I got the screen to login to SMD before starting my transaction in my web page.
SMD Host : solman
SMD HTTP port : 58000.
The SID of SMC system, where the SMD run, is 80.
I have also tried with communication 8080, 8080, 58004 without success.
It refuses to connect to SMD, even if all communcation ports are opened.
Do you have any explanation ?
Best regards
P. Cuennet

  • Connection between SMD Agent and SMD server via SAProuter

In our scenario, we have to setup the connection between SMD agent and SMD server(solution manager server) via saprouter. But during the installation of SMD agent, we can only specify the hostname of the managing system, we have no place to add saprouter string(/H/..../H/). I I am not sure if we could connect the agent and server via saprouter, if so how to do it?
Hope someone can give us your precious advices on this issue.
    Karl

Perfect; and thanks for your response. I found this help page for developers to implement P4 support over SAP router: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/48/2992d7ad8758d7e10000000a421937/content.htm
But in the SM Diagnostics Setup options I can set up only a direct HTTP adresses and have no options to set up connections over a sap router to P4 ports directly. I can at the moment only solve my problems with NAT or firewall rules.
And also the diagnostic agent setup has no options to config a proxy or sap router. I found yesterday a blog on sdn side with screenshots of the setup with all available connection opetions to SLD... sry I can not post this link today.
This is an official statment of SAP from the current version of SMD guide; it is also possible but why not from the beginning???:
In some network conficurations, the Diagnostics agent has to connect to the Managing system though a SAP router.
This feature will be fully supported in Solution Manager 7 Ehp2 (7.02).
In order to enable this feature in Ehp1, please contact the Diagnostics Agent support team to get information on how to
setup the agent and on which patch level you can perform the installation.
This thread were a long time not answared; proxy and routing connections are mostly stepmotherly handled by SAP; this is also a problem by set up of automatic RFC generations in SMSY; why there are in the setup assitents no options to set up the router string.
I have absolutly no comprehension for this in year 2011. All this technics are good known and long time tested.
In this case the f**k has provoked an answare to this thread and this is what I expected; but sorry for my style You are right I could also writh why the heck

Can't get iCloud to back up on IPhone 5. Have 7.1 GB available. Backup keeps failing while I am plugged in and connected to wifi. It will show backing up now and estimated time 20 plus hours and always ends up failing after a couple hours

You need at least 50 MB of free space in order to back up to iCloud.  Rather than backing up, have you tried importing the photos to your computer and deleting them from the camera roll as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083?

  • Connecting to SMD server failed

    Hello folks,
We installed a java add-in on a machine running ECC 6.0. The installation went fine and we could log-in to the portal using the webbrowser. After that we tried to upgrade  all components from SP14 to SP17. But when the JSPM tried to restart the J2EE-Engine, the SMD didn't come up again and stayed in status "Starting processes". We could fix this be reinstalling the SMD-Agent, but now our main instance tells us in the MMC that "J2EE status info unavailable". I can't reach the portal using the webbrowser as well as I can't login using visual administrator.
In the SMDSystem.x.log I just get following lines over and over again:

  • Weird Dump " E CRMD_ORDER 015 can't be processed in HTTP Plug in mode "

    Dear Experts,
We are facing this strange issue with WEB UI.
On Production system, suddenly , a dump occurs as follows ->>
    Business Server Page(BSP) Error
    What Happened ?
Calling BSP page was terminated due to an error
    SAP NOTE:
The following error text was processed in the system:
Message E CRMD_ORDER 015 can't be processed in HTTP Plug in mode
    Exception Class: CX_SY_MESSAGE_IN_PLUGIN_MODE
    Program           : CL_BSP_WD_VIEW_MANAGER=================CP
    Include             : CL_BSP_WD_VIEW_MANAGER==========CM002
    ABAP Class     : CL_BSP_WD_VIEW_MANAGER
    Method            : DO_REQUEST
    Line                : 43
Whenever this error was reported to me by client and i tried to log in to the production system to regenerate the error following the way it was reqorted, it never reappeared for that event.
Thus the cause of this dump is undefined and what makes it disappear is also undefined.
It keeps on occuring any time ,in any event of User Interaction with WEB UI.
Is there anyone who experienced the same behaviour ? Can you please share you thoughts/opinions on it as why this dump could be appearing ?
As i was unable to regenerate this error, i am still looking for the solution.
    Please help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Suchita
    P.S
Error type is exception. Can not be found any detail in ST22 too.
This DUMP is occuring only in Sales Order processing Line editing/Saving/Changing order status/Creating Followup etc on some event like click on the edit button, or changing status by clickin on the status drop down.
This DUMP is not persisten. if its there today, It wont be there 2-3 days later or so.
Edited by: suchita on Apr 1, 2009 12:37 AM

    Hi Suchita,
The HTTP Plug in mode errors generally occur when the error messages are raised on the Web UI without proper use of Message handler classes. I experienced similar situations when some coding is done at Web UI component and the message or exception is raised by any Function Module etc.,
Imagine a situation where you are coding at UI level and using a Function Module which raises exceptions with normal ABAP syntax:
    MESSAGE ID sy-msgid TYPE sy-msgty NUMBER sy-msgno
            WITH sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
This type of messages do not get transferred to message log and result in dumps.
We use classes like cl_bsp_wd_message_service to raise messages at UI level.
Alternatively ,these type of dumps get triggered when any BADI Implementations raise the messages with this syntax.
    MESSAGE ID sy-msgid TYPE sy-msgty NUMBER sy-msgno
          WITH sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
( Any error messages needed should be raised by passing to message log using FMs like CRM_MESSAGE_COLLECT or some classes).

Put it into DFU mode - hold the sleep/wake button and home button until the screen goes black (ignoring the slide to turn off slider). When the screen goes black release the sleep/wake button but hold the home button. Continue holding the home button for 10 seconds, then release it. The screen should stay black. Plug it into iTunes and it should come up with this message "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. It must be restored before use", that's when it is successfully in DFU mode. Now press the restore button in iTunes and it should run smoothly :)

  • HT1476 my iPhone 4 will no longer charge. It is also not recognised in iTunes. There seems to be a problem with the connector slot. I've tried other cables and other computers/plugs but the connection is not being made. Any suggestions?

It seems to me that the connection port is faulty.

  • Can SAP GRC AC 5.3 connect without any problem with SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise?

    hello,
I went to the PAM in the SAP Marketplace to see if SAP GRC AC 5.3 could connect to SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise but I can't see all the "Add-On Product Version for...", it's cut off.
Can SAP GRC AC 5.3 connect without any problem with SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise?
If I can't is there any proof about it? I have to show it to a client.
    Best Regards,
    Pablo Mortera,

    Pablo,
GRC AC 5.3 works perfectly fine with SAP's R/3 4.6c, mySAP ERP 4.7 and ECC systems. In fact we have two 4.7 Enterprise systems connected to GRC AC 5.3 system.
You can get the details of supported SAP ERP systems under prerequisite section of Info page of GRC AC 5.3 , it can be accessed on marketplace at -
Downloads-->Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group > SAP Solutions for Governance, Risk, and Compliance>SAP GRC Access Control>SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL>SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL 5.3
Just ensure to have proper BASIS and ABAP support pack level as mentioned in prerequisites.

    Amol

  • Dependencies between the SAP R/3 Plug-In (PI) and the SAP Basis Plug-In (PI

    Hi All,
    SAP declare:
"SAP R/3 Plug-In Support Package 10 for SAP R/3 Plug-In 2004.1 (scheduled for delivery in November 2005) will require SAP Basis Plug-In 2005.1"
    I have an R/3 4.6c with PI 2004.1 and a BW 3.0B with PI_BASIS 2003.1.
<b>Why using a mistake combination I work right?
Are there some restriction using this combination?</b>

Within SAP R/3 Enterprise, the SAP Basis Plug-In is a prerequisite for the SAP R/3 Plug-In, and both components always have to have the same release level, e.g. PI 2004_1 and PI_Basis 2004_1. When planning an upgrade for the SAP R/3 Plug-In within SAP R/3 Enterprise, you have to upgrade the SAP Basis Plug-In as well. As of SAP Basis Plug-In 2005.1, the releases will no longer need to correspond. However, the SAP R/3 Plug-In Support Package for  PI 2004.1, which contains new interfaces, will still require a specific SAP Basis Plug-In. SAP R/3 Plug-In Support Package 10 for SAP R/3 Plug-In 2004.1 requires SAP Basis Plug-In 2005.1. ...

Yes i am on x86_64 bit Windows 2003 SP1, 4.6D kernel is running in 32-bit mode.Database sits on a diffrent host and is upgraded to Oracle 10.2.0.2.
In that case , do i need install PREPARE in 32 bit mode so that all executables in put\exe will be working in 32 bit mode.
Could you please also look into note,
    906205 - Upgrading SAP system <= 4.6 on x86_64 Windows
Actions after PREPARE (before you start the upgrade)
    1. -
    2. Unpack ORACLE Client 10.2 into directories \usr\sap\put\exe and \usr\sap\<SID>\sys\exe\run.
    a) Mount the CD which contains the ORACLE 10.2 client software and change to subdirectory OCL_WINDOWS_X86_64.
    b) Start a command prompt and change into directory \usr\sap\put\exe.
    c) Type 'sapcar.exe -xvf <DIR>\OCL10264.SAR'.
    d) Start a command prompt and change into directory \usr\sap\<SAPSID>\sys\exe\run.
    e) Type 'sapcar.exe -xvf <DIR>\OCL10264.SAR'
As per the note, 64 bit client has to uncarred "After Prepare before Upgrade", since the tools in /usr/sap/put/exe are not able to connect to the database since they are in 64 bit mode, and my Initialization phase fails, i uncarred the client into put/exe during PREPARE.
Please guide. What problems should i anticipate in the PREPARE phase when it builds shadow instance.
    Govind.

  • SAP authentication plug-in needs to have been selected during the installation

Can anyone help me with an issue I have with the SAP authentication setup please. Unfortunately our BI 4.0 SP4 installation was installed without the SAP authentication being selected. On the setup document I have it says that the SAP authentication plug-in needs to have been selected during the installation. Does anyone know if it is possible to set this up retrospectively?
The document can be found on the following link. Setting up the SAP plug-in - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki
    Thanks
    Simon

    Hi Simon,
As Sebastian said, this is a default installation, but you must select the correct one that you need, I guess that Enterprise is the default one.

You can't buy the part from Creative as a spare.
I'm not sure how compatible other parts might be, but that would be a question for someone who really knows a lot about this area of electronics.
The Creative repair for this is likely to be expensi've, but the problem is most likely a broken solder connection than an actual new headphone socket. So if you know someone experienced in surface mount soldering you could probably get it repaired just with this.

  • SWF in SAP BSP Pages - Dynamic webservice connection

    Hi,
We are using webservice connections in xcelisus to connect to webservices on R3.
In the webservice connection , we have imported the wsdl from sap and generated the connection.
Then we have the Hostname and port of SAP server in the webservice connection.
Once the development is completed and swf is generated , we have created a bsp application and placed the swf file in it on our SAP Dev system.
So now when we access the bsp application on Dev, the Dev webservice is called in the swf and data is retrieved.
Once the bsp is transported to QA system , as the webservice in swf is still pointing to Dev system, the data is retrieved from the Dev system only.
Is there a way to use falsh variables and dynamically call the webservice on the SAP system , based on the system it is called from, so that when we call the bsp application on QA system , it call the webservice on QA system instead of the one on Dev system.
    Thanks,
    Tanuj

    Hi Tanuj,
unfortunately this is not possible within Xcelsius, take a look at following thread:
