SAP IS Banking- Time Deposits

Dear Experts,
I am configuring a Time Deposit Product in SBS 7.0. As per the requirement, there is an early withdrawl penalty to be calculated if the deposit is withdrawn before the maturity date. The calculation is possible in SBS 7.0. However, the system is not posting this penalty to the Time deposit. The requirement is that, the penalty must be deducted from the Time deposit Amount and the net amount must be posted.
Can anyone help me with this.

Hi Ashok ,
This report RFEBKA00 imports account statements into the SAP System and
then creates batch input sessions for updating in G/L accounting and *
in the subsidiary ledger. It does not print any report - as far as I can see.

If you are looking for abroad opportunities, then there must be good opportunities for SAP Banking, particularly western countries like USA, Canada, Europe.
There are already thousands of people in SAP FICO, I do not want you to end up in the same boat like others.
You can still go with SAP Banking, number of Indian software companies / offshore software companies supporting / implementing SAP Banking for number of banks. Because of limited consultants, you may get a chance to get a break in SAP Banking Area. Then you can put up some onsite experience, which should be critical for your growth.

Query on SAP IS Banking - SAP Deposits Management/ SAP BCA in ECC 6.0

Dear all,
In SAP Deposits Management in the new platform, we have the node Financial Services both in Easy Access and IMG under which we have the major functionalities like Account and Product Management. However this is unavailable in ECC 6.0. Request you to clarify whether these functions are available in SAP ECC 6.0 under SAP Bank Customer Accounts.

Most industry consultants from the banking practice are contributing and posting there.
The straightforward answer to your question is
No, the nodes published for the "banking services from SAP" process platform (Deposits/Account Management, Analytical Banking) are not published again in ECC 6.0.
Installation procedures, components and licenses are completely different.
This is due to different architectural design, IT and banking business requirements.
The node Financial Services is one application platform (the most recent application release is 7.0 on NetWeaver 7.11) that comprises
+ transactional banking with the components for managing, posting to and servicing of current accounts, savings, deposits, loans, collaterals and hierarchies of accounts for purposes of cash & liquidity (cash pools/sweeps) and global limit management
+ analytical banking with the components for managing risk, ALM, analytical (bank-unit-internal) limit and BASELII requirements.
The single-purpose application component of Bank Customer Accounts on ECC does not handle this variety, yet focuses on current and yield account/demand deposits for special-purpose banks/financial institutions.

SAP MT940 bank statement interface to SAP

We plan to integrate the bank statement in SAP MT940 format to SAP. Can you please kindly share if you have any information on how to configure the SAP for uploading the SAP MT940 format?
The configuration guide that I have is : FI Electronic Bank Statement from SAP R/3; based on this guide the recommended bank statement format is in Multicash Format.

Based on the external transaction type, you will link to the posting rules. Yes there are so many subfields, available if you see 61 fields, it tells you about the payment you have received/made, it gives the line item details of a particular transaction.
My sincere request is dont look at the bank statement and do the configuration. Do the configuration first and then SAP provides one program RFEBKATX. Using this program you can create a bank statement file and customer line items. Once after bank statement file is created you can import it using FF_5 and if your configuration is not properly made, it will let you know where you are missing. But this program will generate bank statement file in multi cash. How ever if your configuration is correct and if you are able to import bank statement, then there will not be any difficulty in importing MT 940.

SAP R/3 Time & Travel Module_CRM Integration

Yes. You need to so the Middleware setup between the R3 and CRM systems. PLease follow these building blocks in this order:
1.C71_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US
2.B01_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US
3.B09_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US
If you follow all these three you should be able to have bidirectional flow. Please lets us know if you have nay questions.
